Tuve la suerte de ver varias de ellas y todas con mucho encanto. Las de planta alta conserva artesonados de madera espectaculares. El desayuno de los mejores que he podido disfrutar. Servido en mesa y todo hecho al momento, había hasta un cortador de jamón ibérico que me parece un súper plus para un hotel tan pequeño como este. Signo de que cuidan mucho lo que ofrecen. El restaurante Michelin toda una experiencia con platos muy delicados y sabrosos. Gran servicio por parte del personal. No se le puede pedir más a un hotel boutique. Enhorabuena! No poder estar más tiempo

- MARIO (7/5): Relación calidad/precio mejorable - La ubicación del hotel era buena y el desayuno completo. Habitación grande. La habitación era muy oscura y húmeda, y se escuchaba el trasiego del personal (y olía a cocina). Quizá nos tocó la peor habitación en cuanto a ubicación, pero todo esto resultaba molesto. El servicio en general no justifica el precio de la habitación (ni las instalaciones). En cuanto al personal, parte de él era muy agradable y otra parte más bien lo contrario. Restaurante de calidad con una carta espléndida de comida/vinos, pero el trato a mejorar.

The room didn’t have a window and was very dark. It smelled fusty. We were not shown in the room description when booking that there is no window. The room was also right next to the kitchen with the staff going back and forth constantly in the morning and evening. Furthermore, there was no hand towel or bath mat in the bathroom which for a hotel of this standard and price, I would have expected. Overall, we were not very happy with the lack of window and the darkness and smell and noise from the kitchen.

Ce superbe boutique hôtel dispose par ailleurs d'un restaurant gastronomique de haute volée.

Traditional breakfast served at your table (no choice but plenty of food - bread, cheese, ham, fresh fruit platter, avocado or soft cheese, tomatoes, yoghurt with granola, and cake. Choice of fried or scrambled egg). Recommend the tasting menu. Great for meat/seafood eaters, not so great for vegetarians although they did adapt the menu for me. Only downsides - no bar/lounge area to sit in of an evening as it was too cold to sit out in the courtyard. Staff did not really smile.

- Tessa (10/5): A wonderful, calm boutique experience with none of the flashy trimmings. - This small walled hotel is a traditional building, perfectly located in the middle of the best town to base yourself in if exploring Lanzarote by car. It’s round the corner from the main piazza with parking right outside, but it’s very quiet and peaceful inside. The courtyard garden that you cross to get to your room is beautifully planted, with seating and deckchairs too. Rooms are huge but there are only a few, so it still feels homely. Ensuite bathrooms are either separate or part of the main room, and each room is designed differently. We stayed in two rooms, one of which was better for bathroom privacy than the other but neither a problem. Beds are huge and comfy and there’s plenty of storage space. Upstairs rooms lead onto a balcony where you can sit with a glass of wine to watch the sun set. Downstairs rooms are cool and shady, which would be lovely in summer. Service is always attentive but never intrusive (thank you, Nicholas). Breakfasts in the lovely dining room offer a huge choice of little treats so you can vary them according to your taste and level of hunger (or hangover!). The evening dining tasting menu was good though not exceptional - coming from London we’re perhaps a bit spoiled. But the atmosphere was lovely and it’s always a pleasure to sit and relax with others in this beautiful boutique hotel. It’s a gorgeous, calm place to wake in and to retreat to at the end of the day. I’d love to return. It’s hard to fault this place, really. A few more coffee pods and a wider choice of teas would be nice in the rooms, especially if you’re staying in for an evening. WiFi is not reliable in some areas, so it’s perhaps not a place to base yourself in for laptop work. Bathroom products contain SLSs (Sodium Laureth Sulfate), which might be worth replacing at this hotel's level of experience and price. But the main thing I didn’t like was leaving...

- Trudi (9/5): An oasis of calm in Tequise. - Fabulous location in the heart of Tequise. Beautiful building and rooms. The lady serving breakfast on our first morning was exceptionally pleasant and cheerful. Also breakfast was amazing on both days. So much choice all brought to your table. Yoghurt and muesli, fresh fruit, local cheese and ham, bread, in-house made jams and sauces, cake and churros, plus tea or coffee. Also offered scrambled or fried eggs, which were delicious. Kept us going all day! Loved the courtyard in the centre - an oasis of calm to enjoy a coffee or drink, especially on Sunday Market day! Would probably choose a room on the upper floor if returning.

Our second night coincided with the town 'heavy rock' night - not easy for hotel team, but even this made us laugh 😅 The central location during hot weather won't suit everyone
- Max (4/5): Disappointing - Interior Design Room Location The hotel is totally understaffed. For instance, we waited 30 minutes to get a coffee during breakfast. One employee has to manage the entire breakfast service, as well as the reception area by herself. Staff seems to be overwhelmed and stressed out. Hence, the price/value ratio is out of balance and the owners should invest more in qualifed employees. It's such a pity as the hotel has the potential to be an absolut gem. However, as of now it's not worth the money. A hotel should be more than just nice rooms.

It was nice and tasted good, but you would expect a menu or a little choice at the price. The room was exceptional. Beautiful, bright, spacious with a very comfy bed. Good bathroom amenities available. The area is beautiful with some very lovely restaurants nearby. We had tapas in La Cafeteria which was exceptional. The breakfast could have had more selection or choice. Wouldn’t be good for many dietary requirements.

Our room was spacious and cool and the gardens were beautifully planted with glorious pots and lovely local artefacts. Gloriously quiet courtyard. No pool unfortunately, if it did have, you’d be unlikely to leave! Dinner was gorgeous and the breakfast on the terrace was divine. A gorgeous place to stay.

Staff genuinely want to help you to enjoy your stay and go the ‘ extra mile’ to help guests have a wonderful stay. The location is perfect with easy parking right in front of the hotel. The staff were helpfull and friendly and the breakfast fantastic. Cannot recommend highly enough. I liked everything.

- R (10/5): Friendly, laid-back hotel in beautiful Teguise. - Lovely hotel in Teguise, We stayed in room 6 which is a very good size, and has two balconies. One overlooks the inner courtyard and the other (at the front of the hotel) has a westerly view... great for watching the sun set over the volcanoes with a sun-downer! The hotel has a very relaxed and laid-back feel, with friendly staff. Fabulous continental breakfast, and a very good restaurant too. We would definitely return.

- dorothée (8/5): Great but... - Le linge de lit et la décoration sont très agréables mais le confort de la literie est beaucoup trop mou pour moi. J'ai trouvé aussi la chambre très sombre (1 seule fenêtre pour des pièces de plus de 30m2) et nous avons eu la surprise de devoir payer des suppléments (35€/nuit) pour les lits et petits déjeuners pour notre fille de 4 ans ce qui n'a pas été le cas dans aucun des autres hôtels des deux îles que nous avons visitées... sinon le service, l'accueil et le lieu en lui même sont tout a fait exceptionnels et à visiter si vous passez à Teguise.
- RJ (10/5): Gorgeous boutique hotel! - What a gorgeous hotel in our favorite town on the island! The owner was a lovely woman as well, very courteous and welcoming. Such a wonderful stay with my partner for our first time here — we loved the room and the breakfast in the morning! Highly recommend a stay here if you want surrenity and quiet, away from the resorts. Will return when we visit Lanzarote again. :)
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Situated in a listed historic building, this hotel boasts with charm. Each of the apartments that are grouped around the beautiful courtyard has been refurbished with style and decorated in a distinctive and tasteful manner. As we happened to be the last guests in the week of the Corona lockdown, Sonsoles gave us a tour, so that we could get an impression of all the apartments. It will be hard to decide which we should take the next time. Apart from the beauty of the building and its perfect location close to the historic centre of Teguise, Palacio Ico offers all amenities of a luxury hotel, notably a breakfast that you should not miss. The restaurant is open to the public and offers local specialties and a long list of Lanzarotean wines. During the Corona curfew, the dinner was the highlight of our day and we took the opportunity of trying almost all the delicious dishes on the menu. What makes the place stand out, however, are the people who run it and who did whatever the could to make our stay a delightful experience despite of the restrictions that came along with the curfew. Not only did they continue the breakfast and dinner service but also the organised a yoga class, a wine and cheese tasting event and a homemade lunch, which we could all enjoy in the sunny and wind covered patio. Thank you once again for all!
