Guest Reviews
- Benjamin (8/5): - Very clean, good location, amenities provided were great The beds could have been more comfortable

- Andy (8/5): Nice place and close to local amenities. - The apartment is comfortable with a nice set up and is within walking distance of the local places for eating out. The only negative comment I have is about the single beds. While they are a good size, the mattresses are getting tired and ready to be replaced.

- Thomas (9/5): Great location, clean apartment with handy facilities. - Great place in a nice location. You're fairly close to everything in Helensburgh and we were just across the road from the square in the town center. Apartment was very clean and had everything we needed.
- Trudy (10/5): A lovely, central and well appointed flat - The flat was very central and had everything you need for a short trip which is a real bonus. Very helpful and prompt response to all questions. Will definitely book again. Nothing although with the sun out it would have been great to have a chair in the garden.

- Scott (9/5): Superb - reasonably priced for what I needed. central location in Helensburgh
- Trish (9/5): Great place to stay downtown Helensburgh - thanks. - Once heat and wifi sorted it was perfect, thanks. Maybe update heater instructions in the info book, check and turn on the heat an hour or so before guests arrive, as I felt bad having to ask owner to come round and sort the new heater as we shivered for a couple of hours trying to fix ourselves.
Maybe have a back up plan if wifi info changes.
- Suzanne (1/5): PUNGENT FAECES IN THE KITCHEN. A HEALTH RISK. please avoid at all costs. - I cannot describe how awful this property was. Please avoid at all costs.
I did not stay one night of the entire 2 weeks booked. I left immediately. On arrival, I was met with a pungent overwhelming smell of excrement and fecal matter in the kitchen. I was shocked and when the host came round within 30 minutes, he tried to say the smell was rotten food left in the fridge dripping down the back. Is that even appropriate if true? He said he would clean it. I refused not accepting this or having faith in not becoming sick. I know very clearly the difference between excrement and rotten food. He offered half my money back. I refused and contacted booking.com. There was something very very wrong here and this was nothing that could quickly be cleaned as he suggested later that evening, offering me to return once I was in a hotel.
The next day he refused a refund at all and refused to communicate.
To present a property for rent, unclean, unhygienic and as a severe health risk is unbelievable. How could you trust any other aspect of hygiene here when he refused to fix this situation. I was left with nowhere to stay, having to pay out again for somewhere else. I had travelled on three flights from the US to visit my very sick father. I am disgusted with this Host. I notice on other reviews, his stock answer is, “you should have said”.
He should have been embarrassed. The correct response would have been to employ a firm to deep clean his kitchen and find the source and refund immediately with an apology. Instead he decided to lie about rotten food and say there was nothing wrong. I should also mention, I brought family members to witness this.
- Nora (8/5): Very good -
- Caitlin (8/5): Very good -
- Emily (10/5): Clean and bright apartment, central to the local area. - It was central to Helensburgh and close to Loch Lomond/The Trossachs national park. The apartment was very clean and had a lot of facilities available. The welcome book was much appreciated and gave us a lot of information about the surrounding area. The lockbox to get the keys was a little stiff/hard to open.
- Nicky (10/5): Homely - The place was very homely, very clean, had every think a home has, (washing machine, dishwasher, iron/ironing board, microwave, cleaning products, tea, coffee & sugar, if you wanted to make yourself a drink) t.v in the frontroom, well worth the money.
Was within walking distance of the sea front
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Spacious and well equipped apartment in a great central location. Bedroom door nearest to front door didn't close properly.
- Phil (9/5): enjoyed our stay, and was good value for money - Ideally located in town centre and very well equipped no complaints about the apartment, but the building in which it is situated could certainly do with a bit of an overhaul and a clean
