Guest Reviews
- cristina (10/5): - Perfect location for our needs. Street was quiet, with ample street parking.
The patio upstairs allowed us to have a glass of wine or a cup of tea while watching the river.
Jasmine was a great hostess. Breakfast was lovely. We visit Astoria often and we look forward to staying there again!
- Judith (6/5): - The home was nicely restored with many antiques filling the rooms. The breakfast was excellent and we were given a special grab and go for early departure. There was a nice coffee area with an outdoor sitting area with a river view, although the highway noise in front of the river detracted. However, the neighborhood was very rundown.
- Joseph (10/5): - I loved the character of the property and the owner was wonderful.
- Erin (10/5): First Time Staying at a B&B - This was my first experience staying at a B&B. It was great! The owner was super friendly. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was very good!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful view of the river.
Clean and tastefully decorated room and house.
Theresa, the owner is a wonderful cook!
Highly recommend a visit.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful breakfast. Wonderful host!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful building, nicely decorated rooms. Lovely coffee/tea area with balcony and food river views. Road below is very noisy on weekdays when a lot of big trucks go by. A bit better on weekends. Owner is friendly, but not nosy. Breakfast was wonderful each day.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Teresa is great! You get a delicious hot breakfast every morning. The rooms are very clean. It’s nice to visit with other travelers during breakfast. We are definitely going to stay at Crosby House again. Highly recommend!
- Antonia (10/5): Perfect romantic stay - What an adorable and comfortable place to stay. Totally charming in all ways. Theresa is a wonderful cook - breakfasts were delicious and inventive. Easy walking to everything in Astoria. Room was very comfortable and well stocked. Generous towels, entry of surfaces to put things.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This BnB had that perfect blend from the proprietor of 'pride of ownership' and respecting the privacy of their guests.
Crosby House is filled with beautiful antiques and kept spotless by Theresa, the owner. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast on each of the two mornings we stayed. (It compared well with our relatives who stayed in a chaotic, noisy, nearby hotel with 'breakfast in a bag' served each day.)
When I read reviews I tend to trust the ones with three stars as they tend to provide a balanced assessment of the stay but I gotta say, Crosby House was a five star experience!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a wonderful place!
- Jeff (10/5): - Quaint b and b in Astoria. We had room that overlooked the Columbia River. Excellent innkeeper and a great breakfast.
- Mark (8/5): - It was nice/clean, but too much traffic noise for us. We are used to the country setting.
- Pattie (10/5): - Amazing! She is a gracious host. Loved the property!!
- Kevin (10/5): - The house had a lot of character, our room had a nice view of the river. It’s within easy walking distance to town. Nice updated bathroom.
- LeeAnn (10/5): - This was our first B & B stay. Even though I missed the notes I had written down about it being a 4-6 check in, the gal was very kind (645). Everything was clean and we had an awesome deck overlooking the Columbia River. Only complaint is 30 steps up to our room. Day 9 of vacation? We are too fat and lazy, lol.
- Jeff (10/5): - Beautiful antiques great breakfasts great location. Great host.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Was excellent! Breakfast was the best! Terrific hostess, comfortable accommodations , absolutely no complaints.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice, pleasant B&B. Great hostess. Couldn't ask for more.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The home was very comfortable and clean. Theresa was an excellent hostess and breakfast was delicious!
- Scott (10/5): - Beautifully restored old house, tastefully furnished. Property is within walking distance of downtown shops, galleries, restaurants, and the river walk.
- Richard (10/5): - It's an old home, well kept, great common areas - comfy living room, small kitchen upstairs with a hot water faucet for tea and coffee, and a good size deck with a view of the water
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Comfortable bed, excellent breakfast.
Accomodating host allowed us to check in early.
Good location, walking distance to downtown.
Only negative was thin walls, could hear a guest in the neighboring room snore loudly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The home is historic, very lovely. It is near a busy street, and down the street from a youth hostel, so there was some noise at night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely 130 year old home made into B&B, but know that it is very close to the main street through Astoria so the road noise is bothersome at night. No A/C means open windows and its a little tough if you are a light sleeper. Very comfy bed and our room had a nice little deck to sit out on. Except for the traffic noise it was a very nice place to stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room was cute and clean. Parking was a bit difficult as the street is narrow. Very friendly lady and breakfast was great!
- Lydia (10/5): Cozy hillside stay - Beds were very comfortable, breakfast was awesome and nice balcony for relaxing and watching ships come into the river
- Verified traveler (10/5): - What a cozy spot. Our hostess was welcoming and kind. Delicious and well presented breakfast. Lovely view from the communal deck.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful house and the back deck is a nice addition. very Good Breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was a beautiful restored property. Very clean. Bed was great. Breakfast was awesome. We had a great view of the river from our room. The only problem was this is on a very busy street and it was noisy until midnight and again early in the morning.
- Nancy (10/5): - Great place to go back in time!
- chris (10/5): - VERY PLEASANT. GREAT ROOM AWESOME BREAKFAST AND EXCELLENT HOSTESS. GREAT VIEW.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Cute B&B in Astoria. We booked the waterfront room with a balcony and a view. Quiet and breakfast was very good. Would stay again
- Tom (10/5): - Teresa, our host was very friendly and informative. The B&B was charming and authentically decorated to the time the house was built. Teresa’s breakfast was creative and delicious.
- Amy (10/5): - Breakfast is amazing!
- Alvaro (10/5): Astoria's best bed and breakfast - Astoria is a very pretty city and Crosby House is not the exception.
Great location to any landmark and places to visit. Very convenient parking, comfy bed and marvelous breakfast. The view from the porch is sensational.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean, well decorated. Good breakfast. Bathroom was charming but difficult to navigate.
- Doreen (6/5): Rude neighbors - Owner very nice and everything clean and breakfast good and location to town good but the neighbors kept us awake til almost 4 in the morning talking loudly outside on their deck. Very rude. 😐 Also the road traffic was very loud for us.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautifully remodeled century-old home with unique furnishings. The owner is a great host and served a delicious, warm breakfast. She was very accommodating when asked for late checkout. It was truly a very pleasant stay.
- TINA MARIE (10/5): When visiting Astoria Oregon... - A sweet B&B with extremely luxurious bedding; large room with balcony overlooking the Columbia River; and for the amount of local traffic, surprisingly quiet. Breakfasts are over the top, like you get in top of the line B&B’s. I really lucked out choosing this gem to stay at for my 1st visit to Oregon.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Quaint Victorian Style - Teresa does a fabulous job of making you feel right at home. The decor is so appropriate to the setting. We loved staying at the house. It was close to town and shopping so that we could walk to most locations. The area has changed from the last time we were there with lots of construction on the River Walk. The trolley could not run very far and it had impacted some businesses. The last time we were in Astoria, it did not seem like there was such a homeless population problem, but this time it was definitely much more. We did not venture out in the evening much because of it. The house is so beautiful, however the neighborhood could use some help. Apartments surrounding the home were run down quite a bit.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - House was beautiful, view off the balcony was outstanding. Teresa was a great host, and her breakfast was oh so good. Would totally go back.
- Keith (10/5): - Loved it's central location. Breakfast was excellent. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the river. First BNB experience and it was good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect location - Within walking distance of the riverfront, trolley car, restaurants and museums. Theresa serves delicious breakfasts!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Oregon Coast trip - Great place to stay for the start of a trip down the Oregon Coast highway. This is an older, well kept, bed and breakfast with 3 rooms. Very good amenities, including a deck on the 2nd floor with outstanding views of the ocean. Walking distance to many good restaurants and local shopping.
- Mary (10/5): Love this B&B - We loved our stay in Astoria at the Crosby House. The owners were very nice, the room perfect for our one night stay, bed comfortable and a good shower. The breakfast was delicious. The home was lovely with an outdoor sitting area to relax and enjoy a coffee or tea. We would recommend the Crosby House to anyone visitin Astoria.
- Julie (8/5): River View - We had a short but lovely stay. The bed was very comfy, the hot water plentiful with decent pressure, and an ample and tasty breakfast. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river and the pleasant breeze made it a fine spot for wine and snacks!
- Mike (10/5): - It was a nice victorian house.
Well remodeled/restored. View of the columbia river was excellent and the morning breakfast was very good.
Quite happy with our stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Breakfast was delicious and the outside common area was perfect!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This B&B was convenient, comfortable, and offered a porch view of the Columbia river! We would stay here again ~
- Helga (8/5): - A quaint B&B with 3 guest rooms. We had lovely riverfront king bed room. It was cozy. The road it faced was a bit noisy and you see a fast food place and some roof tops as part of the river view. The host/owner is welcoming and made a wonderful breakfast for the guests! I would stay there again.
