• Joe (4/5): I spent an extra $348 to get somewhere else - The staff are the only reason it’s not a Zero review! - So this place feels like it once was a beautiful hotel that has fallen from glory, the staff are super friendly here so do make it a pleasant experience but that’s where I am forced to stop. The balcony room on the 3rd floor, it is terrible, the bed linen was clean, this is the only positive about the room, I knew it was not going to be perfect for the price but to be woken up covered in dozens of insects, to be clear I do not mean bed bugs, at first i was disturbed and thought there might be a mosquito or something that landed on me, then I turned the light on, these horrible little black bugs all over me, the bed and on the floor. The experience was pretty horrific, the room is most definitely not deluxe by any means, please do not call it this, the shelf next to the bed that looks like it is ready to fall, the fridge that you have to pull out from under the unit to plug in, dirty curtains, the bath has a crack in it at the head end and the bathroom floor looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. Please take some advice and close this room off and refurbish it, even the balcony door is almost impossible to slide open. Fortunately this place gave me my money back, I think they knew about these issues already as no argument was put up.

• Douglas A (5/5): - The location was good, however if you're interested in the river area, the main tourist area of town, it's a bit of a hike. TukTuks are readily available, however, and if you install PassApp you'll get on ok. There's also a fairly nice "hot pot" style restaurant in the same building which was excellent seeing as we got in late. I should mention that although the price was reasonable (we paid $20 per night), it compares poorly with other similarly prices properties in the city. Just to name a few annoyances: the shower water pressure was extremely low, the safety lock didn't work, one of the windows wouldn't close -- so the A/C never worked very well as there was no window seal, and parking was extremely limited.

• Ryo (9/5): - The room was fine overall, but our first impression was a bit disappointing as it appeared the bed had not been properly prepared for new guests. It looked as though it had already been used. On a positive note, all the staff from reception to housekeeping were extremely friendly and helpful, which made our stay much more pleasant. The only downside was the security guard, who came across as rather unfriendly that night!

• Rick (8/5): The hotel was fine . Battambang was horrible and I certainly wouldn’t recommend the city to anyone. Incredibly dusty - The property was very good. The only issue is that they are currently renovating and the noise is bad. The renovations are supposed to be between 9 and 5 however even on Saturday they started at about 7.30 am The noise from the renovations.

• Anonymous (8/5): I am happy with my stay in the hotel. Thank you for hospitality. - I think it is a nice place to stay. The location is closed to the city and i can find easy transport and food to eat easily. I feel safe during the nighttime no disturb sound. The room is clean for me and the hospitality is good. The bathtub is complicated, i hope the hotel will have time to fix it better. Sometimes, it hard for old people or children to use during taking the bath.

• Willow (5/5): ok for a nights stay, i wouldn't recommend any longer. - large room, ok for one night stay the room smelt of mould/damp. The shower was practically unusable with only a couple low pressure streams of water coming out of the head. Couldn't wash soap off with the water

• Ronak (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff and hospital. Location was good, not in the main centre therefore was nice and quiet but still able to have a short walk in to town. On arrival our initial room had a slight ant problem however the hotel switched our rooms straight away and the cleaners ran up to deal with the issue for future guests.
• Gabriella (2/5): Very poor - Don’t be fooled, the hotel looks nothing like the photos. Mould in the bathrooms, with spiders and cobwebs in there. The beds were rock hard and there were bugs in the beds too. Also the fridge smelt very bad and there was a cockroach in the room too. We was meant to stay 3 nights but checked out early as it’s was awful. The staff are lovely and did everything they could.

• Lucy (4/5): Cheap but dirty hotel. - Our stay was decent value for money. The hotel reached out to us on booking.com to state that they offer a free tuk-tuk service from the bus station. I responded to this message confirming our arrival time and followed up with three additional messages in search of confirmation of the service. All messages were ignored. When we arrived at the hotel having had to walk 20 minutes from the station, we were greeted by two members of staff who were both on their phones and computers with the booking.com website opened, proving our messages were completely ignored. Shortly after, when paying for our stay, the receptionist took our credit card and tapped it on the card reader without showing us the amount or requesting confirmation. When entering the room, the walls were covered in black marks as if they’ve never been cleaned, ants were everywhere (especially around the bin area) and the TV provided had an English plug with no converter.

• Yash (7/5): Stay worth the money - Good location, friendly staff. Worth the money Only complaint is for cleanliness, found multiple spots in the room with dust. Walking down the stairs, the lights hanging down are covered in dust. Which is why I’ve given 7/10. Fix that and I would give it a 10/10
• Douglas (10/5): Big room beautiful view of the river - The room was very big with a balcony overlooking the river. It was so nice we stayed an extra night. Good beds and AC. Convenient location to a large food fare,a market and Robinson. Also there is a very popular seafood restaurant next door and a Japanese place next to that I liked everything some people might not like that it’s down a dead end street that is a bunch undeveloped lots they are developing the area now it’ll just nicer

The rooms was large and we stayed in an corner room which had panoramic views across the sea port and coastline. The food was amazing. I'm not liking the khmer food so made a nice change for me to eat something more western 😋

• Kay (6/5): There is no "Boutique" in Sky Palace Boutique Hotel - The woman who did the morning shift was incredibly helpful in organising things. She also spoke good english. Just a standard asian hotel with no soul. Cleanliness could be improved (not dirty, but not overwhelming either). TV remote not working (one of the small details that should be checked by staff before arrival, IMHO)

• Juanita (7/5): Clean, great value and very convenient. - Clean, modern, comfortable beds, spotless linens, great bathroom, functional elevators. Great value for money (triple bed room booked). Air conditioning was not efficient, not cool enough and took a long time to get going. The wifi was difficult to connect to and disconnected several times. The female staff were not overly friendly, but the young man who seemed to be in charge of technical matters was lovely. It lacks character/atmosphere/ambience.
