- Cathy (7/5): Not up to par - It was in a good location Our first day we had a rental car but couldn't add the parking fee to our bill; instead we had to download an app and set up an account to pay through a third party which was annoying but then it didn't even give us 24 hours and ended at 11:00 so we returned our car at the airport but then we had to wait an hour and a half for the courtesy van to pick us up from the airport and each of the 3 times we talked to them, we were given a different time and location for the pickup. The bed in our room had a platform instead of a box spring but it stuck out about 8 inches beyond the mattress and I kept hitting my heels on it when getting out of bed. The closet had a window behind it which was really weird so I couldn't get dressed where my clothes were like I usually do. When I used the bathroom during the night, the lights didn't go on and we found out through trial and error the next day that there was a random switch in the hallway that had to be turned on for the bathroom lights to work. The room had a coffee maker in it but it wasn't cleaned out so I went to get coffee in the lobby (like most hotels have complimentary) and was charged for it. The staff was overall polite but cool instead of warm and friendly except for a charming young woman working at the restaurant.
- Peter (8/5): No good parking solution - Nice rooms, good place The parking app doesn’t work with a foreign phone number. I needed more than 1 hour (!) with help from reception to pay the fee. Not what you’re looking for on a vacation. If you don’t pay your car gets towed away!! Next time better a hotel where parking is included (not because of price, because of hassle and risk)
- Patricia (3/5): - This property is run down
- Alvin (8/5): -
- Richard (8/5): - Great location and accommodating staff. Good location but drivers were not familiar with finding hotel and did many wrong turns.
Restaurant kitchen was not open longer hours.
- Malissa (8/5): - I like the aesthetic of the hotel. I didn't like that the shower was stopped up
- Thompson (10/5): -
- Cecilia (10/5): Definitely will stay again. - It was beautiful Kitchen staff a bit slow
- Heather (9/5): - Beautiful hotel, friendly staff Having to pay $19 per day for parking.

- jaqueline (3/5): Foi de ruim - Ar no quarto barulhento , atende recepção mal educado
- hugo (10/5): - Ok
- TAOUFIK (1/5): Not good - The location They give a room next to the outdoors of the ac unit, too much noise we could nt sleep and we had to request a next room at midnight and we had an early flight
- kiirran (4/5): -
- James (10/5): Great very happy - Clean very nice None
- Leslie (9/5): Nice room with an odd twist - Hotel is very attractive with an open reception area and an in- house eatery which was very good. The staff were all very nice and efficient. The room was a good size and nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable, the room temp was easy to adjust. The bathroom had a sliding door that was either closed in the toilet area or the shower. It was also made of opaque glass that left little to the imagination along with a large gap under the toilet area which did little to make you feel isolated from the room. There was also a similar glass panel that looked out into the room so anyone in the room could clearly see the outline/ shadow of the person showering. Definitely would not share a room with anyone but a spouse or other close person. A friend in another room had the same panel in their closet that looked outward. Very odd design choices.

- Yolanda (3/5): - The lobby The room, wasn't clean. I had to clean it and found it unpleasant
- Sharima (5/5): I wouldn’t stay again. - The lobby is nice, the bar & restaurant food. It has a balcony. Not as sound proof. WiFi is horrible. Non existent. Bed was too firm. The amount for parking.

- Sasheeni (9/5): Overall it was a great stay and the hotel and rooms were clean just the bathroom I don’t like the shower - The staff was great and very helpful and friendly the rooms and hotel itself was clean location was perfect for what we needed and I love that we had a balcony ! The bathroom was not clean at least the shower part the tiles had brown spots looks like it needed tilex Mildrew same for the sink area , also the iguanas too many ! Maybe try and get a company to remove them also paying for parking was not ideal

- Valentin (8/5): -
- Brian (8/5): Nothing special - room was ok checking in was good paying for parking and the cost of the room was high.
- Christian (2/5): Sehr schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis - Lage zum Flughafen war super Preis für Ausstattung zu hoch! Klimaanlage laut wie ein Dieselgenerator!

- 55cassaundraw (4/5): Don't rely on shuttle - We stayed as a Day Pass (9A-4P). While there is nothing special about this place, our rooms were ready on time and provided us what we needed for the day. The pool is not designed well, but provided a place for kids to have leisure time. The bartender was very nice. We notified the front desk staff earlier in the day that we would be using the free airport shuttle at 5:30PM. They told us to just be in the lobby 10-15 minutes prior. That was fine since we were out of our room at 4:00PM. We were in the lobby for 1 hour. We walked outside at 5:15 because we hadn't seen a shuttle in a while and wanted to make sure we didn't miss it. At 5:25, the shuttle pulled up and let a few people out and then started to drive away. It stopped and my husband approached the passenger side window. The driver was on the phone, so my husband waited. After a few minutes, he gently knocked on the window to get the driver's attention. Instead the driver ignored him and drove away. We went to the front desk and she called the driver. The driver claimed to be in "lots of traffic" even though we just saw him and according to Apple and Google Maps, there was no traffic around. At 6:00PM, the same shuttle showed back up. The driver claimed that he was not aware of a 5:30PM pickup (even though we tried to get his attention and our names were down on the shuttle list at the front desk).
- Valeriejmh (6/5): Customer service needs work - The room was big! Clean and the shower was great Your staff. We had called the hotel twice. First time I was hung up on in mid sentence and called back get the name of the person who did it and it was Valerie. Second time was to order the shuttle and again, mid sentence, without warning, transferred to the shuttle guy, no warning. The front desk agent upon checking in, didn't tell us about wifi, didn't tell us the restaurant hours, if there was a pool, nothing. Just gave me our keys and said nothing. I even asked is there anything I should know and she said flatly, no. The WORST costumer service I've ever encountered at a hotel. Won't be back and I cruise regularly out of Florida
- daviddW305NS (4/5): No service after 9 pm - The hotel is ok in terms of appearance and infrastructure but lacks some basic service elements. For example, my television remote stopped working - probably the batteries - but the Front Desk was simply unable to cope with the problem. “Our maintenance man is gone for the day, sorry I can’t help you.” Not acceptable but pretty much in line with the overall decline of the Marriott brand. Pitiful really, so I spent the evening without television, consoling myself with the thought that, in the last analysis, maybe I was better off with a book!
- Erika (7/5): Clean. Great location. No bathroom privacy. Staff on personal phone. - There was no complimentary breakfast, which would of been nice considering the cost per night. There is no bathroom privacy. Zero.
- F6085AHsamc (6/5): Nice hotel, but noisy - You will need car or uber. There is one place to eat in walking distance, and it was not really very good. The traffic noise from highway is pretty bad. I would recommend ear plugs.
I liked the room itself. Nice little balcony. Refrigerator. Desk with power.
Clean and cozy
- Michael (5/5): It was ok for one night prior to a cruise. Would not want to stay for longer but we did not see or experience all the fa - Open and spacious. Bar lady was great the evening we arrived. Noisy air conditioning. Other people in our property commented about this too. During check-in the receptionist tried to give us a different room to the one booked. We initially agreed but once in the room went down to reception to ask to have the room we booked. Our correct room was much better. We also had to ask the receptionist about breakfast being included in our booking and we had to prove this as she said the system did not say this. We gave our breakfast voucher ($14each) to the breakfast waitress but upon returning home the hotel had charged $28 to our credit card that morning!
- David (7/5): - The property was clean and the rooms were a good size. Unfortunately the bar service was a little chaotic and random despite the best efforts of the bar lady.
Check-in came to a halt because there was only one receptionist and when a couple of customers found their room had been cancelled through no fault of their own the whole process ground to a halt for 20 - 30 minutes. A second receptionist or assistance should be available to avoid this
- Deborah (9/5): -
- Sarah (5/5): - It was close to the airport and cruise port. Could hear the traffic all night long. The balconies were so small and there was no where to sit on the balcony
- Jorge (8/5): Nice hotel - Clean and inviting Not in walking distance of entertainment
- Joseph (10/5): Pleasant and very comfortable. Excelent bed! -
- Monette (9/5): -
- Richard (10/5): -
- Sloane (10/5): Great location - Everything was great. Perfect place to stay after getting off of a cruise ship.
- SouthwoodTruck (8/5): Good stay, nice hotel - Hotel is convenient located near the airport. Decor was nice. Front desk was ok, maybe because we arrived very late and they were tired. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was good, but service was very slow. There is a lot of highway noise at this hotel. For that reason, most likely I will skip this hotel in the future.
- Marilyn (10/5): Good hotel before a cruise, comfortable, clean, and had a restaurant. - Clean, beds were comfortable and they had a nice restaurant.
- Daniel (8/5): Nice hotel, they offer long-term parking - The location is really good for us. The hotel is in good shape. Everything worked in the. Breakfast is way overpriced
- sandra (8/5): -
- Hernan (10/5): -
- Marcel (8/5): Prima voor een nachtje - Kamer was groot
Goede badkamer
Vriendelijk personeel bij de Bali
Dichtbij cruise terminal Locatie weinig tot niks te beleven in de buurt
Ontbijt was zeer matig. Je moest echt aandacht trekken om geholpen te worden
- Jekaterina (9/5): Quiet gem - Nice quiet hotel near the airport, Marriott quality throughout. The outdoor shower was not broken. The room facing the highway is not soundproof, too noisy, and I could not sleep.
- KimBostonMa (6/5): I would stay here again- no major issues - Some of these reviews are ridiculous. What do people expect for 250.00 a night? Lol
The hotel is fine for a night before or after a cruise or layover. It’s not fancy, it’s basic and it’s clean and 15 minutes from Fort Lauderdale airport.
It’s in an isolated location right off the highway and yes, you hear the traffic.
The outside areas are nice for sitting by the pool and they have a koi pond and outdoor fire pits.
I was told the airport shuttle runs every 30 minutes and you need to reserve your spot at the front desk.
- CaroleCangiano (4/5): This is NOT a good option for a pre-cruise stay - We were so disappointed in this hotel. There are a million hotels in Ft Lauderdale, find one that deserves your busness.
1) Staff was sullen, unhelpful and disinterested in providing information.
2) We chose this hotel because is the reliability of the Marriott brand, its proximity to both the airport and cruise port, and the availability of a shuttle to both locations. I called before reserving to ask about a shuttle and was told that they did provide a shuttle. When we landed I called to request a shuttle and was told that they didn’t run between 1 - 4 pm. Why?!?! I was told that there were a lot of cruise ships in port and traffic was heavy so they wouldn’t be able to come pick us up - at 12:30! I inquired about a shuttle ride the next morning to go to the cruise port and was told that it would be $20 pp!!! Again, why was this not mentioned when I called? We got an uber for less than half that amount. So much for a “free shuttle”.
3) The hotel is isolated. It sits next to a highway so there were almost no places one could walk. There was one restaurant a short distance away, and absolutely nothing else - not a store, restaurant or anything.
4) The hotel was noisy. With the highway right outside it was so loud that we struggled to hear the TV.
5) Our room was COLD, very COLD! We had maintenance up to check the thermostat and it would intermittently blow out warm air, then blast cool air. The maintenance person checked it and said that we had it on properly, he fiddled with it yet it remained so cold that I slept with my jacket and socks on.
- Scott (8/5): Unexpected luxury at a good value. - Lobby and dining with the bar in an open concept with garden and amazing hot tub views all in a beautiful aesthetic was splendid! It felt a lot like a 5 Star European hotel. Check in and out was slow.
- Barbara (7/5): Nice spot close to airport and cruise port with a warm pool - Nice hotel. Warm lovely pool. Very friendly, accommodating, super hard-working staff at the front desk, restaurant, and cleaners. Well appointed rooms, short walking distance to small waterfront restaurant. Close to cruise port and airport. Restaurant was ridiculously understaffed with limited breakfast and happy hour. The servers deserve an award and their bosses should be reprimanded! They worked nights and were back early the next morning with smiles on their faces. Give them a raise and lets find a way to staff these places! The bathroom design, while fashionable is terrible. A big heavy glass door slides between the shower and toilet. It's very difficult to move and privacy is minimal at best. I can't imagine how anyone with week hands can manipulate it. Designers! Please!
- Adam (8/5): - - the shower head and water-pressure, leave a lot to be desired.
- the hotel is too modern and minimalist. Feels cold inside.
- Xavier (10/5): -
- tinaaG4385XU (2/5): Travel all the time - Award winning in my book! Award of worst hotel I’ve stayed …ridiculously poorly planned. Bare windows with a sheer shade. Sleep was basically impossible. Full on light all night. But they left the old drapery hardware and pull for a nice touch! Shower door missing but they left the lip on the floor as a trip hazard. Zero towel hooks.
Weirdly they closed off the balcony with a glass window to make a closet. Appears the shower used to have peekaboo window into bedroom so they hung a picture to block it. Lipstick on a pig fail. Hope they didn’t pay a design firm for these “genius” designs.
Kicker in the morning after a horrific nights ”sleep”…”well at least there is in room coffee”…nope! All decaf and powder creamer!
Mattress smells musty to boot. I could go on but I’m outta time & sleep deprived. Bonvoy really needs to get this place off their lineup.

- Mark (7/5): - Dinner was very good and all staff in the restaurant were friendly and attentive Frint desk never answered the phone so we couldn't get the shuttle from the airport and had to pay for a taxi
- Excursion28691812164 (6/5): Acceptable for an overnight stay - We arrived Christmas evening, the hotel itself is okay. Definitely needs upgrades, our sofa sleeper was pretty damaged from use and they didn’t give us additional pillows or blankets.
- Gardenstater2 (6/5): Underwhelmed - The staff at the Maritime Hotel, at least those we interacted with were very helpful. As for the rest of the experience, it was somewhat underwhelming. Things started rough and never managed to rebound. The first mixup occurred before even reaching the property. A mixup with the shuttle left us waiting an hour and a half at the airport. The facility sent an Uber, so this was a nice attempt at service recovery. Once at the hotel, check-in was delayed because our room wasn’t ready (5p.m.). We were eventually moved to a different room. The rooms are different. Some area for improvement are the lighting and the loudness of the A/C. Another oddity of this room; the bathroom has no door! It felt a little like being in a public restroom at JFK. There were many things to like here. The room was clean and the staff was helpful. Would I stay again? Coin flip.
- PFE33 (2/5): Run away! - Our company reserved two rooms for one evening. On our arrival, the front desk clerk was rude, would not look at us and refused to help us with our needs and concerns. One woman in our party needed to access to stairs and the woman refused to offer this accommodation to our party so we had to move to a new hotel. There are so many ways this could have been easily resolved, but the clerk at the desk was rude and non- accommodating. At the very least, this woman should not be allowed to work interfacing with the public. Zero stars.
- Excursion23015909717 (10/5): What a turn around !!!! - Let me tell you about this hotel – it used to be a total disaster, believe me, a real dump, nobody wanted to stay there, sad! But now? They’ve turned it around BIG league. Tremendous renovation, absolutely beautiful. Four-star all the way – gorgeous rooms, nice bathrooms, everything spotless, the best. People are saying it’s one of the nicest places they’ve ever seen.
And the staff? FANTASTIC. The best people, top-notch, they treat you like a king – better than anybody. Smiling, attentive, they know your name, they remember what you like, unbelievable service. Nobody does hospitality like this staff, nobody!
The bar in the lobby? Fantastic . They make the best rum and coke you’ve ever had – nobody does it better – and the chicken wings? Out of this world, crispy, juicy, tremendous flavor. You walk in, you feel like a winner. It’s a total turnaround, folks. From loser to luxury – that’s what I call winning! You’re gonna love it, everybody does. Highly recommend!
- Freedom30861169902 (4/5): not great - We arrived at night. Calling the hotel to get the shuttle was TERRIBLE. The phone would either ring and ring or I would be on hold for a long time. I had to keep calling back. I think the front desk girl just walked away or something. Maybe she was overwhelmed. Another guest also had this problem trying to call the hotel. The aesthetics are great in the lobby. The room cleaning was POOR. One of the beds had used bedding. No housekeeping when we arrived so maintenance had to bring up bedding that I had to put on the bed. The restaurant at dinner time was very good. In the morning the breakfast was awful. The very young hostess/waitress was not good.
- U8806YKoliviag (2/5): WORST HOSPITALITY. - Worst experience in terms of hospitality I have ever had to deal with. I had a concert booked for a Friday night, and decided to plan and stay the weekend for fun. I booked here through a third party website from Friday to Sunday (not reading the google reviews). Basically, the performer cancelled his concert due to illness and rebooked in January. I called this hotel all night long and the third party company to attempt to get my reservation moved to January, I never ever asked to cancel or mentioned it. The third party website told me I have to contact the hotel, and the hotel would say absolutely not you have to contact the third party to move your reservation. Each side said "they cant" touch my reservation because one reason or the other. no one was willing to help. The performer cancelled at like 6 pm the day before the concert, so yes it was later in the evening when I was attempting to call and get things figured out for the future dates. I spent $400 for this reservation. The hotel front desk lady answering the phone was extremely rude, unwilling to help, unwilling to give me her name or the manager of the Hotels name (just because the third party company was asking for a name to reference). I had to call 3-4 times that night and one of the time, she definitely recognized my number and left me on hold for several minutes on purpose. DONT BOOK HERE- READ THE REVIEWS. I think it was a blessing in disguise that I didn't stay here and my trip got cancelled. I probably would have caught some disease. Terrible hospitality, truly unaccommodating. Based on the reviews THEY SHOULD SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN.
- O'Neil (2/5): - The receptionist was rude lazy, when I walk up to the front was on his phone - very unpleasant seem like her wasn’t really interested in doing his job - overall just seem lackadaisical- I ask a few questions and he was just not polite after giving me my room keys he also handed me a receipt for parking without asking or knowing if I had a car to park or not , won’t be going back/booking that hotel ever again
- Sarah (10/5): - The room is clean, but there are limited outlets. As you approach the building from the highway, you can see into the rooms and you can see mattresses stacked up against walls in some of the rooms. Make sure to get the actual shuttle because the Uber experience was negative and it cost us money on our own instead of the free shuttle as advertised. The staff is very kind. But there were mixed messages from one phone call to another around what services were available.
- Giovon (4/5): - Second time being here, the first stay wasnt bad but this time fell short.
I had an incident the first night with another customer being excessively loud with a ... friend of theirs at 3 am the staff tried but nothing was taken care of I was then promised some type of complimentary service for my inconvenience but the management could not be asked.
- tina (10/5): - nice place , good safe neighborhood , clean and priced right
- stephen (10/5): - Thank you
- Xiomara (6/5): - Unfortunately not a great experience. I came back from work to all my makeup bags ruined because of a roof leak in the bathroom. I asked to change rooms and they did give me one. However when I went into the new room, it smelled strongly of chlorine fumes, to the extent that I had to leave the balcony open for a couple hours cause it was making me sick.
- saudrella (10/5): - The place
- YUJIAN (8/5): - We liked very convenient to drive around room clean and easy parking only thing the water poor super slow 😳
- Jay (6/5): - I used to stay when it was TRYP
It was newer and it loos rundown now
I probably will not ever stay there again and that is a shame because I really used to like it but now I don’t .
- Sharon (8/5): Good. - The location People smoking in halls and not cigarettes!!!!
- YVONNE (10/5): Great place to stay if you don’t drive there. - Convenient to where I was going, friendly staff Had to pay for parking. I’ve been to this location several times and this was the first time having to pay. I think it’s absurd to pay to park when no added feature was included like security, valet or the facility being gated.
- Rodney (10/5): - I liked everything about it
- Bianca (10/5): - This was a great stay for the night. I just returned from a cruise and needed a hotel close to the airport
- Thomas (10/5): - Property was close to the airport and had great amenities. Dining was far away. It was quiet. Overall a good location if you have transport.

- natashadD4918DF (2/5): Bad experience - We are staying here right now and were woken up from a lekkage from the roof top on the 3rd floor all the way down to the reception. Everything was wet from the bedroom floor, toilet, rooftop, caret etc. And very dangerous also leaking above our electricity while we were sleeping. Not good at all.
Besides that I just saw a review from Frascesco from 2020 with complaints about no privacy between the toilet and the bathroom, no good water from the pipes, no brush for the toilet etc. They promised to do something about it but 5 years later it is the same thing.
They say that the have a restaurant but it is utmost small and not a lot on the menu.
On the photos you cannot see it well but you can see that it is all the way to the reception.
Ofcourse we have got another room, but still some leaking and asking if we want to use toets or the maintainance. All we are not satisfide and we expect a good solution to all this.
- Baird (7/5): Decent place good bed. Everything was closed since late arrival - Breakfast only one server. Super slow. Got coffee for people walking up and had to get her just to get our coffee Room is weird. It was open from bedroom to bathroom to see. Kind of creepy
- Leslie (10/5): We loved out stay at Maritime - Beautiful decor, wonderful amenities, friendly and helpful staff We know they are remodeling. We had some concerns about noise. There didn’t seem to be much sound insulation between rooms.
