We returned back to the hotel after a full day of being out in a cold ,windy & rainy day, the front desk staff greeted my husband and I & offered us fresh coffee and fresh baked warm cookies. There's a sign that states Housekeeping cleans the room every other day. Unfortunately that didn't happen, which is unusual for Hampton Inn's. I'm sure is was a mistake or an oversight.

- bb007p (10/5): Perfect - This hotel is perfect! It all started with a phone call to Rebecca. She was so nice and welcoming. She answered our questions, and was so friendly so we booked with her. The location is good with grocery stores, gas stations, close dining, and ample parking. The atmosphere is nice and clean. The hotel is up to date, and pretty well maintained. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good. Scrambled eggs were a bit rubbery. Otherwise breakfast items were basic, but satisfactory. The coffee and hot chocolate bars at check in were nice, but the best thing is the hot Otis Spunkmeyer cookies! We couldn't have been more pleased. Casey and Justin, you should be proud to have Rebecca on staff!

I was disappointed that 2 out of 3 treadmills in gym were out of order and Wednesday , one man monopolized the only working one. I think he was working remotely while walking on treadmill. He had 2 laptops going and I kid you not, he was using all day!! I should have spoke up, but didn't. so I take some responsibility for that

Oh the cookies in the late afternoon is one of my favorite things The Hampton Inn provides that other hotels never do.!!! My favorite Oatmeal. Decent breakfast - eggs, different meat each day, and of course other items to choose from like cereal, toast, oatmeal etc. Room service was not done in our room. Maybe we didn't put the sign up on the door knob, but still I have never seen this happen in other hotels that are from a decent chain. Usually, they will knock if we don't have the sign up. Afterall, we were there for 4 days with only 2 large towels provided and we went to the beach each day. If they are not going to give room service more towels should have been provided. The room was smaller than any Hampton Inn we have stayed in; therefore I gave the room an OK.

- Daydream285191 (10/5): Outstanding - I have been staying at the Hampton suites in Sneads Ferry since my house fire. The staff have been remarkably kind. I have to recognize that Crystal who works at the front desk was so accommodating with getting our rooms and worked very well with the State Farm outsource company who finds a place for their clients to reside while their house is being restored. Elizabeth, who is head of the housing staff, has gone beyond my expectations on making sure that my room and that my daughter‘s room are always clean and stock with clean towels and etc. She’s very personal and always ask me if there is anything else that I need each time I see her. She has the compassion and understands my dilemma, knowing that I have endure a house fire and that I am very comfortable with my room.
- wesleytyler (10/5): A solid hotel experience - **Hampton Inn Sneads Ferry North Topsail Beach - Guest Review** I arrived before dark--rare for me--and walked into a brightly lit, clean, and attractive lobby. The front desk attendant greeted me as soon as I entered. He was extremely friendly and helpful, gave me my water for being a Hilton Gold member, and ran down all the breakfast details and other essentials. I was assigned a room on the second floor--first time in years I haven't been on the top floor. The hallway carpet is typical hotel hallway style--not offensive, not remarkable. Upon entering, there's a small foyer with the bathroom immediately to the left. The bathroom is clean and stocked with a hair dryer and an add-on plug-in night light, which is always a nice touch. However, like many Hampton Inns, you can tell housekeeping tends to push debris into the corners without scrubbing them, leaving visible buildup. A bit of wallpaper is peeling near the tub, but overall the bathroom is in decent shape. There's a single overhead light and fan, and it's adequately bright. The room itself is well-lit with a foyer light, two bedside lights, a desk lamp, and more. There's a dedicated desk area with a comfortable cloth rolling office chair. Plug options are great: two on the base of the lamp, two plus a USB on the desk, two more plugs and two USBs by the bed, and another desk area on the other side of the TV with two plugs and a USB port. The TV cabinet houses a small refrigerator and microwave. I was pleased to find my favorite style of coffee maker--the Hamilton Beach single-serve with sanitary disposable filter trays. There's also a handy wire rack cabinet and some small moveable ottoman-style assets with handles that are great for adjusting to your needs. The bedside table has a pull-out tray that's convenient. The HVAC is central and appears to function well. The towels were soft--an improvement over my last Hampton stay--and the washcloths and hand towels seemed fairly new. Bonus points for having name-brand Angel Soft toilet paper! I visited the breakfast area early in the morning and found it spotless. The egg product was an upgrade--small frittata-style rounds instead of the usual folded omelets with bell peppers. Big kudos to whoever's doing the food ordering. They also had sausage links, a waffle station, fruit, pastries, and either grits or oatmeal along with plenty of other choices. Checkout was also pleasant. The young man at the front desk was absolutely an asset to the property--upbeat, composed, and efficient even while juggling multiple guests. He should be mentored; he has the potential to be a top-notch hospitality manager. A few minor gripes: the nightlight in the bathroom is too bright--I had to cover it. Worse, there's a green flashing light (likely from the smoke detector) that blinked every minute and was so bright I could see it through my eyelids. I had to cover my eyes to get to sleep. The in-room air conditioner is rather loud when the compressor kicks in. Despite that, the room and hotel were quiet, and I didn't hear other guests during my stay. Overall, it was a solid Hampton Inn experience.

- Lovetotravel001_9 (8/5): Nice hotel, close to Topsail beaches. - I felt the hotel was a little pricey for early spring, but it is close to the beach. Hotel was nice overall, friendly staff, clean room, quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn (no complaints there), and there a nice workout room as well. Only con is the lighting in the room was a little too dim for my liking and don't like seeing hair on my bed, but guess that happens from time to time from the laundry. Would return if/when in the area.

- naclyQ9697UH (4/5): Not the same level of service as in the past - There isn't a lot of choice in Sneads Ferry and it's close to the base; many choose it because they are visiting family who are stationed here. There are more choices in Jacksonville, NC and if you can stay on that side of base, I would recommend you stay on that side. This Hampton Inn has been good in the past but this trip really disappointed. Upon check-in we were told housekeeping is every 2nd day. Ok. That's pretty typical of hotels at this level these days. We were also told that internet had been out for a couple of hours when we checked in but "they are working on on it" which implied, to me, that it would be back on relatively quickly. We checked in on Friday and never had WiFi - we checked out on Monday morning. Additionally, that every 2nd day for housekeeping never happened either. We stayed 3 nights, no housekeeping. We got towels, garbage bags, toilet paper, more soap from the front desk but geez. They were nice about it (no apology from the front desk person)...she said they didn't have enough staff. If that's the case, limit the reservations that you take if you can't serve everyone.

- Melissa (8/5): Very good - The location was perfect for dinner appointment we had. I left my bathroom toilettes behind. I called the hotel the next morning and it wasn't found. Disappointment that personal item was not turned in by cleaning service. The bag was personalized.
- Larry (10/5): - Overall a terrific experience right from the very beginning. We arrived a day early and thought we'd try to see if we could get in. Krystal not only work out a vacancy, but made it the same room we had already reserved for the next 4 days. Thus, no having to switch rooms after the first night. We can't say enough good things about the kindness, concern, friendliness and professionalism exhibited by Krystal at the front desk. The location was convenient to the beach, free parking beach public access and restaurants on and off the island. Top marks all around to the Hampton.

- Paula (6/5): not good this time - We have visited this hotel location many times. Surprisingly, we saw how the service has declined. The beds and shower were clean, but the floors were not vacuumed or mopped. We requested the service for the next day, and they just vacuumed the area, not the hallway or bedroom. We know because the bottom of the towel was brown dirty after using it as a carpet. Cleaning must the floors. It is a disgusting feeling, when you cannot walk barefoot, and the socks were dirty afterwards

- Lori (1/5): I’ll NEVER BE BACK - Not a thing Long story short…after arriving at 3:30am, it took 33minutes to get us checked in.. there was no one checking in or out at this time.. One room had toilet paper all waded up on bathroom floor and a 12 pack of Miller lite beer in the room.. front desk called us liars that you have inspections before guest checks in., well they are the liars.. no such inspection happened in either room.. my room had vomit on wall next to the bed..I do have pictures. We were booked for 3 nights.. we only stayed 4 hours 6 hours after checking in and checked out., we refused to stay at a hotel when agents call a guest liars, then lie about their services.. I would live to be reimbursed for my two stays, but I’m pretty sure that will never happen.

- Ambassador787563 (10/5): Quick winter beach trip to NC - Besides the very comfortable bed and cleanliness of the hotel and rooms, my stay was made much more pleasant by the wonderful people on the staff. Without fail, every person I encountered was very nice, ready to help in any way. I would recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again.
