• Fayyaz (10/5): - Very helpful staff. They made our stay very enjoyable. There was some difference in the description provided at time of booking from the rooms available.
• Dan (8/5): - We traveled a family of four (2 adults & 2 teenagers) The room we received had a king size bed and two single beds, one on each side of the main bed what didn’t leave too much space to walk between them. Having said that, there was enough space in the room for the trolleys and personal bags (we had 4 of each). The down side in the room was that the wall separating the bathroom from the bedroom was a thick not see through glass and there was no real privacy when taking a shower and when the light was turned on in the bathroom it lit the bedroom as well. There was a mini bar in the room which was very convenient to store food. A big bottle of water was replaced daily when the room was cleaned. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful. The area is pretty good. Public transportation within three blocks, shops and restaurants near by. 15 minute walk to Monastiraki Square. At night we felt a bit uncomfortable walking around near the hotel though. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
• Jenna (10/5): - The Breeze Boutique was a lifesaver for our last-minute booking in Athens. The property's location is very convenient for metro usage, and the staff members were friendly and helpful. We found our room to be quite comfortable and truly appreciated the small amenities provided to guests. The neighborhood is a little gritty, but the Boutique keeps their space neat and tidy and graciously accommodated our requests for baggage storage.

Bed made of foam, not mattress and not comfortable. Sink drains slowly. TV screen size not big enough for distance from bed. Carpet runs down.

• U3277XNmilenad (8/5): Medium ground. Good if you are not insisting on being in the very centre - We had quite a pleasant experience with this hotel. The staff was super nice and approachable. The room was clean, newly furnished and the food was solid. No complaints. The only thing I wpuld look into is the location of the hotel because there may be other parts of the city you would rather stay in. Is location is of no issue to you- this hotel is fine.
• tomm823 (2/5): Mould, dirty rooms with poor to no servicing, broken elevators the entire stay - The room reeked of mould the moment we opened the door. Where the smell was coming from was no mystery. A thick layer of mound surrounding the outside of the wall wrapped around the shower was embedded in the carpet. Checking the shower there was more mould around the perimeter of the shower base. All rooms were allegedly booked (the place did not seem crowded) and we ended up enduring two nights of sneezing and sore throats before they managed to find a room with less mould that was at least manageable. But that wasn’t the only problem. For five days the elevators kept breaking down. We got stuck one day with the elevator stopping at each floor midway. It wasn’t until we got to the reception floor that the elevator was close enough to the ground for us to hop down a couple feet and get out. Reception glibly told us they were working on it. Then, the last day, we had to descend 10 flights of stairs with our luggage (there are 8 floors with rooms and one each for a restaurant and mezzanine level). Reception again told us the elevators were being repaired with no apparent recognition we walked down 10 flights of stairs each with two suitcases. Coupled with housekeeping not even showing up one day and barely noticing they had shown up the other three days the stay was a total disaster. I would never, ever stay here again or recommend the hotel.
• Venture756257 (2/5): Awful hotel - This hotel was not clean. This was booked via a tour company and it was like staying in time sq, drug addicts on the corner, the cab driver was telling me to be cautious. The hotel staff although friendly the surrounding area was gross, the inside of the room - the carpet had leak stains, the mattress had stains (fairly certain it was blood) and the room was just disgusting. I was very happy that this was a 2 night stay and it was brief. I would never ever stay here again ever! I live in NY and I wouldnt recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

But honestly, the rest of the staff were not that bad. Another point is that really, really do not expect this hotel to be a 4 star hotel. You know, it was at best 2 or 3 star hotel, because the quality of their amenities and cleanness were really not a 4 star hotel quality and we got really disappointed.

• gster1977 (6/5): Use Uber… - It’s not terrible. The staff were mostly pleasant and the room was dated but clean. It defo not a 4* but an ok 3* The aircon worked (albeit cooling the room to a temperature below what the room was set for). there was some black marks in the shower but perhaps inevitable given the design of the design of the bathroom, looks like it was extended at some point with glass making the joins very susceptible to mould. the thing you should watch for is the area. I read the reviews and thought they were overstated. I went for a walk on the first evening and did see a lot of drug use in the area. A taxi driver warned me not to leave or return to the hotel without a taxi given the local crime. He did he refused to take jobs from the street. I’m disappointed that Iglu would place me in a hotel in this area. 10 min away by taxi are some great places. The lifts are truly awful and breakfast was poor

• Adam (8/5): - The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the room was excellent. The immediate neighbourhood isn't the nicest, but a very short walk to the subway and a moderate walk to the old town make it very convenient and I didn't find the location to be any issue.
• Kim (8/5): - The check in at the Breeze was quick & Easy. George was most helpful with info about eating facilities nearby, especially for the Souvalki. The lifts were very small but certainly better than dragging suitcases up flights of steep stairs. The reception staff on all occasions were most helpful with tickets for the hop on/hop off bus and taxis. The crowning glory however was the breakfast. Every morning in the pleasant breakfast room there was a copious amount of fruits fresh & preserved, cereals, breads, spreads, cold meats, cheeses, bacon, boiled eggs, poached eggs, coffees, teas, fruit juices and more, A great way to start the day. We would go to the Breeze Boutique Hotel again. Close to Omonia and the Metro it was very convenient.
• William (8/5): - If you don’t mind the surrounding areas, it’s a very good hotel to stay, it’s close to metro station, the room was clean, staffs were friendly, the included breakfasts with lots choices was a plus, a bottle of complimentary welcoming wine sure light up our day!

• Verified traveler (10/5): Quick trip to Athens then to Port - My family and I had a great stsy. The staff is friendly/kind and breakfast very good. Everything was better than expected and you couldnt tell much from the outside. Also, there is a resturante and cafe/pastry spot around the cirner in a alley way the food was very deliscious

• amandajanereilly (2/5): Terrible Experience, Dirty and Mouldy - Firstly, they had our room booking wrong, we booked a twin room (we had evidence), but got a double bed, we are friends travelling together, not a couple. The hotel is poorly maintained, there was mould in our shower, this was the same in friends room we were travelling with were in. The bed was full of dust and I coughed all night, the mattress is so bad, I felt like I was being sucked into a black pit. The shower was broken, and barely gave us any water at all. The carpet, foul and stained everywhere, we did not let our bare feet touch it. We were booked to stay for 3 nights here, we left after one, it was just unbearable.

• eg-coco (2/5): Zero stars would be too generous - If it were possible to give 0 I would. Housekeeping was a nightmare - they did not clean the room, did not replenish the towels and the air conditioning never worked. We were boiling and uncomfortable and the handyman never fixed it as they claimed. Also, it is in a very rough and seedy neighbourhood and does not feel safe. The only benefit is that it is close to the major sites - but there are nicer places closer too I'm sure. What a way to spend my birthday! I do NOT recommend and think this 'hotel' was a waste of money.
• Maxscott24 (2/5): STAY AWAY! NEVER HAVE I STAYED IN A PLACE AS BAD AS THIS! - Where do i start...... I will start from the moment i arrived with my Partner! We knew we had been hoodwinked by our travel agent who said "its a very nice 4* hotel, in a very good part of Athens" when our Taxi Driver slowly drove past a street and said "whatever you do, do not go anywhere near this part of town!" Then drove on for another 10 Meters, then stopped to announced we had arrived at our Hotel. He then kindly got a map out of Athens and showed us where to go to get away from the area we was staying in. His exact words were "Never turn right when you leave your hotel!" Not quite the words you want to hear when you pull up outside your hotel! From here it just got worse! We checked in promptly with a very nice concierge, and made our way to out room on the 4th floor. As the door opened we was met by around (This is no joke) 60 teenage students who were having a gathering in the hotel corridor. After getting past the mass gathering we manged to get into out room. On 1st impressions, the room seemed not to bad.... (This did not last that long) The room was around 27* so we turned on the AC, which did not work. We called down to Reception to report this, only to be told that the AC is turned off during the winter months. So we can only open the window to cool the room. The issue here is that when i opened the window, the handle partially came away. 🤦‍♂️ I went into the bathroom to see what it was like, to find Mould around the Shower tray and Soap residue in the soap dish. The shower was actually quite good, when we used it. As we unpacked our clothes i found a packet of peanuts and a bottle of water, which i thought was complementary. Only to find both have been opened and had clearly not been removed by house keeping. After a while, once we had stopped laughing about what the hell we have been mislead by our travel agent. We decided to work up enough courage to venture out. We asked the gentlemen on reception about what the Bar next door the hotel was like and he gave us the impression that the Bar was bad news. So we thought we would give it a miss..... We then (Obviously) turn left immediately as we left the hotel, got as far as the Square and decided to head back to the hotel as we had forgotten the map that the amazing taxi driver has given us. I wont lie, i am from south London and i thought was accustomed to rough areas... Turns out i am not, as this area is another level and i didn't really know what Anxiety is, but i am well aware of what it is now!!! We decided to go against the hotels advice and go into the little bar next Door. This was the highlight of our stay as the bar, the staff and ambiance was spot on. once we came out of the bar and i had a few drinks, i thought i would go and see if the area we was told to stay away from was really that bad. I asked my girlfriend to stay at the doors of the hotel and walked down to the cross road. As i reached the junction, i stuck my head round the corner..... I was met with the following.... 6 Ladies of the night and a group of men who were clearly not of Greek decent. As soon as they saw me, they either thought i was some celebrity or rock star as they all started running towards me, shouting at me. I swiftly turned 180* and ran back to my girlfriend who thought that it was best to let me go down with the titanic and bolted into the safety of the crap Hotel. When i caught up with her, we burst into tears of laughter as we thought this was as bad as it would get..... How wrong was we... We got into bed to find the bed was as lumpy as the mash potato that we got served up at our primary school dinners, and the pillows were filled with some form of lumpy dried custard..... We did try to sleep but they either have a speaker outside our window that plays every sound you do not want to hear from the street outside, or we was actually hearing this for real. (I reckon it was the latter) I think the pinnacle of the audible nightmare was the bang that we clearly heard. When we heard this sound, my partner asked what that was. I just said it was a car hitting something, when i clearly knew it was the same sound you hear when you fire a AR15 Assault Rifle! (I will let you make you mind up about this) After not sleeping for most of the night, we went down for breakfast.. And this was the final straw.. I will list the issue in order with breakkie... 1: All the pastries were hot 2: The hot food was cold 3: The cold meat was basically thin slices of Spam 4: The cheese looked like it wanted to get out of the hotel as quick as we did 5: The orange juice was basically Kia-ora We went into town at 7:30 and frantically searched for another hotel which we duly found. Our new (AMAZING) hotel let us check in immediately and we ran back to "hell on earth" to pack and check out. The only issue here was when we returned to pack our clothes, House keeping had come in and not only has they made our bed.... They decided to remove my Silver Bangle from my beside......... But as far as i was concern this was a minor issue as i was happy for them to keep it, just so i could escape from this nightmare.. To top it off, when we checked out 4 day early... The guy on reception didn't even question why we was leaving so early.... Which pretty much says it all. Please see the amazing view of the outside of the hotel which I have attached.
• Malgorzata (6/5): Four nights in Athens - The customer service at the reception was exceptional. Everyone was trying their best. We arrived very late on the day of our booking. The staff made sure we won't go back to sleep hungry. They left plates full of food for us to enjoy plus bottle of wine to help us relax. Food was simple but tasty. The beds were not very comfortable, also the noise from outside was annoying during the night time.

Due sono stati i problemo NON risolti: essendo un hotel tipicamente cittadino e quidi con le finestre che si aprono molto ma molto poco e avendo l'aria condizionata completamente non funzionante , abbiamo dormito con una media di 26/27 gradi. La seconda mancanza è un bagno senza finestra e con l'aspiratore che non funziona. Grazie

• Gian Battista (10/5): Xmas 🎄 holidays 2023. - I found this hotel to be rather nice. Only 2 minutes walk from Omonia main square. My room was just fantastic. The all hotel was very clean . The breakfast was overwhelming with so much good staff to eat each day. The hotel staff was very polite and professional at all times. I definitely stay here again if im back in Athens. The front desk staff were not always helpful, laid back and rather happy for you to wait. The area the hotel is in isn’t very pleasant, and I always felt unsafe and as if I had to be on my guard when returning in the evening. I’m pretty sure there was streetwalker standing on the corner opposite the hotel on one of the evenings.

• Nancy (10/5): Fantastic, but with a footnote! - This was a really fantastic place, especially for the price. Clean, comfortable, The neighborhood is a bit rough, but it’s very conveniently located, just down a Main Street from the square and the train, although the rest of the streets are a confusing maze. Not a good place if you have an early flight the next day as a cab is the only way to the airport between midnight and 6 am, and a cab will cost you 60+E.

• shah (10/5): - Very close to Metro, Bus stop and all tourist locations. The hotel is very clean and staffs are very friendly specially the service desk representative Vasiliki. Breakfast also had huge selection.
• Abhu (10/5): Great hotel close to the main square - Great hotel - lovely breakfast and good location. Away from the main centre but only 10 mins walk to the square. I found the breakfast had variety which was good and the hotel is modern/new.

• Naomi (6/5): Decent Hotel - Decent hotel, and it is clean to the eye when you check in. The front desk staff was amazing, but they DO have bed bugs which wasn’t pleasant. I hope they can get that under control.
• Akram (6/5): - The grand superior room was just a regular room with added two extra beds . We were forced to remove a chair and a table to put our luggage in the room. I can’t understand how they got permission to put 4 people in there room!. The best was air conditioning and breakfast. Also clean.
• SHerri (10/5): - This hotel was a quick train stop from the centre of the action in Athens . From the moment we entered the air conditioned spotless lobby to our room - we were comfortable and enjoyed the reprieve from the 36 heat . The bed was super comfortable and the free breakfast buffet had outstanding choices. The short walk from the train and metro station was fine and there was less foot traffic than staying closer to the Acropolis but we did see some homeless people but were not approached by them . The great price -( and bonus we were lucky to have also been upgraded to a junior suite) - and comfort of the hotel made this a great hotel for us !
• SHerri (10/5): - Great property that was so clean and easy to get to by train and metro . Staff were amazing and we were so grateful to get a free upgrade to a junior suite that gave us some extra room to relax and cool off from the hot Summer heat!

• Julia (10/5): - Great service, fair price, clean facilities, breakfast, and really good air conditioning— definitely stay here for your trip to Athens! Warning though— the Expedia website doesn’t make it clear what room you’re getting. We thought we had a room for 4 but the hotel had us down for a room for two— call the hotel ahead of time to clarify your details with them.
• Stephen (8/5): - Very good location for being close to metro and restaurants. Good breakfast buffet. Felt a little unsafe in the area due to prostitutes selling their wares across the street and drug addicts in the area.
• Ellis (2/5): - How is it that this hotel can change the original reservation date because their was nothing available for the date I wanted and not refund? I went in person and spoke to them and was told that the computer changed the date but will not refund. I can understand me making the changes but why should they keep the full amount when it’s their fault? NOT RECOMMEND!!

• Marjorie (4/5): Choose something else - Shower had black mold & in the shower threshold; it was chipped and mold is growing in the chipped area. The only furniture in the room to sit on was one chair, which had worn through Uphostery. The towels were frayed with strings hanging. Last, but not least is an active prostitution business with about four or five ladies walking around and in front and their pimp looking menacingly around them. We did not feel safe and I’m sure it was not a safe place to be especially at night.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible hotel and unsafe area - Staff were nice. Room carpet never saw a vacuum cleaner The room ceiling shows marks of water infiltration and mould. Curtains were never washed. The bathroom is disgusting with mould everywhere and there is no worktop to put cosmetics. There is only a sink. The cleaner changed the towel daily but mixed floor tower with face towel. So we had our body towel with floor towel to be used as a face towel. We got half board but the hotel does not serve dinner and sent us to another hotel across the road. The restaurant manager in the other hotel (Boss Boutique Hotel) was very rude and a couple of nights there was no dinner to serve. The food was horrible. The area were the hotel is located is full of street prostitutes and drug dealers and they operate throughout the day. Breakfast is ok. No variety of things and the cakes are old and dry. The hotel is central, close the to the main attractions and underground (Omonia station).
• Kelly (4/5): - Starting with likes, the staff was polite and accommodating. The daily breakfast was good. With the dislikes, there was 4 tour buses that check-in the hotel. And the guests were super noisy at 3AM in the morning. The would be talking and running down the halls being inconsiderate. We were there for 3 nights, we didn't get much sleep because the walls were so thin. The street area was very sketchy. Would not recommend walking at night in this area. Be very cautious.

• William (10/5): Great stay - Breeze boutique was great for us. A few minutes walk and we had plenty of food options. The hotel was very nice and clean and the breakfast was good. The hotel is right on the border of a bad neighborhood. We had no problems walking as a group at night but 2 of our taxis even reminded us that it’s really close to a rough area and you can tell.
• Carlo (10/5): - A very nice hotel near Omonia Square , downtown Athens . The surroundings are not perfect , but there are a lot of restaurants and shops . Maybe the pandemic left a scar ( too many closed shops ) , but the hotel is really good.
• Genevieve (10/5): - Comfortable and clean rooms. The beds were very nice too. Staff was very friendly, helpful and courtesy. You can walk to Omounia metro station and the Hop on/off buses in 5 mins.
• David A (10/5): - I liked everything. Location is great- just a couple of minutes walk to Omonia Metro. Breakfast is good- lots of variety of food. The breakfast room is big - no trouble finding a seat. People are nice and helpful. Rooms are clean. Wifi always worked. Air Conditioner also worked well.

• Olive (8/5): I recommend - Staff are helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is really good. It takes care of vegetarian too. Mask and gloves are provided in the dining room. Both guests and staff wear masks. Room is clean and new. Bed is memory foam. There is no ventilation in the bathroom but the room has window. The air-conditioning (and heater) operates periodically. It turns on for about 10 sec and then stops. After a while, it turns on again for 10 sec and stops. Interesting! I've never seen such an operating mode. However, it's all right to me because the room will never get too cold or too hot. Health and safety need improvement. By this, I mean the stairways smell because of lack of ventilation. Since there is no windows on the stairways and the corridors, the hotel should leave the entrance door opened for 10 minutes every hour. Ventilation is crucial especially during this period of pandemic. The lifts are used frequently, so buttons in the lift should be disinfected every hour. Also, something spilled on the staircase and the stain was left uncleaned. At least I still saw the stain the next day. Overall speaking, this is a good hotel.

Location, near tube station but street is really bad area at night only use Uber at night

• Bruce (10/5): - A wonderful surprise! Good location in Omonia close to the National Archeological Museum. The Breeze is a modern, chic, immaculately clean hotel with comfortable rooms and a terrific staff. A super breakfast buffet just adds to the warm hospitality of the Breeze. I would absolutely stay again.

They charged me an extra person fee for my friend to leave his bags in my room while we got dinner (he only had 4 hours in the city before his flight. Even the girl at the desk was clearly surprised...felt like I was being bullied for being a tourist...not cool.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Modern chic hotel with a friendly staff. As others mentioned, it's not in the best neighborhood - though it's only 20 minutes from the tourist spots. Breakfast was diverse and tasty, and there were plenty of giveaways in room, including a bottle of wine, several bottles of water, and a bag of nuts. There were only two real issues: The first was receiving tattered towels on our second night. As for the second - my kids loved the ultra modern decor until they realized that the cool blue glow coming from the translucent bathroom wall was keeping them from going to sleep at night. I think it's a great touch and I can sleep through it (or watch my spouse's silhouette in the shower) but for kids it may be a distraction.
