Guest Reviews
- Doris (10/5): Great place to stayand enjoy. -
- Mischelle (10/5): -
- Bruce (10/5): Nice place to stay - Clean comfortable room No problem
- Garner (8/5): -
- Amy (8/5): We stayed here to spend a day day in deadwood before heading to Yellowstone - The breakfast was good there was a decent amount of options. Nice hot breakfast. Best part was just watching ppl try and figure out the pancake machine and it was simple. The room was nice just a little small but we didn't spend much time in it so it was fine. The guy that did our check in didn't tell us any about the breakfast. I had to ho back and ask the times. He also didn't tell me that there was going to be a $50 incidental charge that's supposed to be refunded. I had to ho back and adk him after I saw the charge on my checking account. All the other staff were good.
- Shane (10/5): -
- Sandra (1/5): Double check your bill - Beds were OK. Little hard. Pillows were OK They billed me twice and I had to struggle to get them to refund. Charge for parking is ridiculous when anyone can park in their lot. They don't service the room every day which is fine but when they do they need to check supplies like tp and the soaps in the shower.

- 1 (6/5): Nice amenities, loud drunks late into the night. - Location is good if you don’t mind a short walk into downtown. Has good food options. Room was clean. Staff were friendly. Parking can be difficult and cost 15$ a day. They give you 15$ a day for being a club member of the casino so it balances out. The lobby is on 2nd floor and was a bit confusing to find initially. Be weary, if you like quiet after midnight this likely isn’t the place for you. Our first night we had some drunk people banging on doors, yelling and laughing at 330am. Now as I am writing this and unfortunately up for the day at 230am, there are drunk people on the balcony yelling and hollering. Pretty expensive place to stay if you don’t want to deal with those things happening nightly. We likely will find a different place to stay in the future.

- Layne (10/5): - Friendly staff great food all the amenities you could think of couldn't beat the price either. Loved everything about it. Not a thing...
- serri Dodd (8/5): - Always a good time.. There is a lot of walking
- ibarra (8/5): -
- Hudson (8/5): Stay was good, will consider somewhere else next time that doesn't charge for parking. - Breakfast was amazing, beds were comfortable and front desk staff was so kind. Having to pay extra for parking! That seems unfair and should be included with a hotel room stay. The walls of our room were also very dirty and gross.
- Taylor (10/5): - The location was beautiful, the staff were very accommodating and there was plenty to keep you entertained inside the hotel. Overall it is a great place to stay.
- Judy (5/5): Ok - Walkable and had parking Breakfast items were all gone
- Kindal (5/5): Could be better, could be worse. - Decent location to downtown. Bugs in the room due to location not being cleaned or pest sprayed. Price too much for experience received.
- Judy (4/5): Will never stay at a TRU Hilton again!! - Clean Room was too hot. I had to reduce the temperature by hand every 2 hours through out the nite. The breakfast was horrible, there was no milk, no main course, drink machine was out of order. Pancake machine was barely working. The site said 109.00 for a room plus tax. When I booked it the site said 129.00. When we got there free parking was not available due to so many casino customers. We had to choose underground parking and that was a separate charge of 14.95. The one elevator would not open at the parking garage level, therefore I had to get on another elevator at casino level to get to parking garage, which opened finally.
- Travis (3/5): Great location, fun casino, hotel staff extremely bad - Very clean and very good location Parking being an extra money was not in the description nor discussed in staff is extremely rude
- Cecelia (7/5): -
- Melinda (8/5): It was pretty good - Breakfast was good , room was nice and clean a little on the small side No hot water our first morning so we had to wait to get ready. The lady at the desk was rather short and rude!
- hailie (3/5): Super rude staff. - The room was clean Staff was very rude. If you had questions, they answered with attitude. The room was very loud (people yelling and running up and down the hallway)
- Sally (9/5): -
- Jerry (10/5): It was great all the way around. - Breakfast was great. The hotel was clean.
- Jesse (6/5): I don't know, I was able to change rooms, still I would of liked to use the pool more but long walk - breakfast. bedding. luggage carts and garage parking. how far my room was from elevator and pool. Didn't like the casino right there when we walked in to get to elevators to front desk and the construction but thats nothing you can do about that. I would of like a microwave in the room and coffee pot. Spend less on the massive tvs for the space and maybe add the micro and put fridges in a place to easily get to...

- Candy (9/5): -
- Tammy (1/5): - We didn't stay no parking for truck trailer after asking before booking
- Anne (8/5): Great place to stay alone or with family! - Location was great! Never have to leave the building if you didn't want to. Lots of food/dining options, bars, snack store, casino and more. My room was pristine - clean, clean, clean! Even smelled great! Thank you Isaac! Check in was grim. I understand long days and holidays and the chaos, but I do expect at least a smile of some sorts when checking in. The hallway on the way to my room was littered in pieces of paper and feathers, so I was skeptical. However, my room was pristine! Thank you Isaac!!! To give credit, the hallway was promptly cleaned so it could have just been kids and housekeeping was right on it.
- Terrie (9/5): Deadwood Tru review - It was very clean. The breakfast was fantastic, and having coffee, etc, there 24/7 was a plus. The soap was in squeeze containers, and with arthritis I could not get soap out to wash ( husband had to squueze it for me). IIt had a microwave at the lobby area but not in the room and same with coffee/hot water; no maker in the room
- Pedersen (8/5): Always enjoy staying here. - Staff kept their cool as the power went out while I checked in. The street view from the 4th floor is awesome. I'm not a pancake person so breakfast wasn't my favorite.
- Darcie (10/5): -
- Darcie (10/5): -
- justin (6/5): Expensive - Not much Parking is next to impossible even though they charge you 15 dollars on top of the overpriced rooms.
- Dragaon (9/5): - Bed was comfortable and staff was great. There were bugs coming thur the A/C unit ,maybe put a screen on the vent.
- Tim (6/5): It was okay - The price We had box elder bugs in our bed and floor.
- Nelson (7/5): -
- Christine (8/5): -
- GIANCARLO (10/5): -
- William (10/5): -
- Beatrix (10/5): -
- Jessalynn (6/5): - Person checking us in was less than enthused about her job. Was very impersonal and rude. Mattress and pillows were terrible! Stains on the pillow cases and comforter. For what we paid this was all very disappointing!!
- wemom4 (2/5): Infested with bugs—-stay away! - When we entered the room, the first thing we noticed was bugs crawling on the bed. Then we spotted another on the wall and several more crawling around and up the side of the beds. I called the front desk and explained our room had many bugs. I asked about switching rooms because there was no chance I was going to sleep a wink with all the bugs. Zoe at the desk was COMPLETELY uninterested in providing any customer service. Instead she told me she didn’t want to switch our rooms because we would “have the same bugs in the other room” so it wouldn’t do any good. Seriously Hilton?!? Do better. The rooms are infested and staff is well aware! We left the hotel and found a bug free room elsewhere.
- Kennan (6/5): - Had to pay for parking and then the one night we got back and drove around parking lot for a half an hour before we could find an open spot. Housekeeping only comes to your room every other day to check on towels, garbage, etc. We had to go ask for towels because no one ever came to check our room. We stayed for 4 nights so our room should have been checked twice and never was.
- Thomas (10/5): - Nice view
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Clean and comfortable! Loved my stay!
- Rudolph (4/5): - Room filled with Box Elder bugs. Although harmless and fall is that time of year for them try sleeping with bugs crawling on you. Was not willing to move us to another room only offered to vacuum the room but bugs were back within an hour. Refused to refund us so we could go to another hotel. No upgrade in rooms. Nothing offered but so sorry.
- Katherine (8/5): - The room was small but nice, no microwave, but a small refrigerator. The free breakfast was great and the good coffee always available. The staff were all very nice.
- Marisa (8/5): - Our initial room had a really bad stink bug infestation. We killed over 20 of them before finding out what they were. We finally had to go to the front desk and ask for a room change. The gal who helped us was great! Excellent customer service, too many stink bugs.
- Tana (8/5): - It is a newer property
- Randy (8/5): - Ground floor is a casino. Above are three different hotels which is a little confusing. I thought the reception area was a coffee shop.
Other then the confusion and the coffee shop, place was very nice
- Schultz (10/5): -
- X8662UUjohnm (6/5): No lobby -- You are welcomed by the Casino - I was a little surprised that the whole first floor was a casino and there was no hotel lobby in sight. (It's on the second floor.) Not all the web sites make it obvious that you are staying at a casino. The only way to the parking lot is through the casino. And for that inconvenience, you have to pay for parking.
The rooms are comfortable and quiet, but small and "no frills". The staff was friendly and very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was not fancy, but adequate.
- mary (8/5): - Staff was great!
- KRISTIN (10/5): - The hotel is part of the Cadillac Jack Casino. The hotel and staff were great.
- Leigh (6/5): - We called ahead of time to have rooms facing rear. That didn't happen
Bathrooms nice rooms small good breakfast
- Brian (8/5): -
- Verla (4/5): - 20+ minute wait for someone to go to the checkin desk.
- Travis (10/5): - Great area and great visit!
- Jenny (8/5): - Comfortable, good location, a little too buggy for me, must be the season. But overall good stay
- Yuri (10/5): - Everything was up to expectations
- Brian (2/5): Never again - Location Room had bugs thru out stay
- Jeremie (1/5): Sucked and it was gross. - There was an infestation of bugs in our room. The hotel never resolved the problem. We spoke with 3 different staff members and nothing was done. We will never go there again
- Dave (10/5): - Yes
- rick (10/5): - Very comfortable and convenient with casino on property.
- Pamela (10/5): - Nice rooms
- Chad (10/5): -
- Natalia (10/5): - It is a casino area. Very busy.
- Kirk (4/5): - Room was dirty, with hair blowing around on the floor, stains on the wall where the trash can sits, terrible looking walls with poorly painted walls with mismatched color, terrible beds, just definitely not what we expected with a name like Hilton, very disappointed, definitely would not stay at this property again, maybe not at any Hilton property, lots of other choices out there, this place would have been ok for some economy motel, like a motel 6, not for a Hilton property @ $285.00 per night + $15.00 per day for parking, which by the way was supposed to be waived, but wasn’t!!
- Gina (10/5): Located a little east of downtown Deadwood - Very nice hotel. Clean. Friendly staff. Attached to other attractions. Bed was a little uncomfortable for me
- Harry (10/5): - Close to downtown, clean and comfortable.
- Patti (2/5): - My room was supposed to be ready at 3:00 for check in. I arrived about 4:10 and it wasn’t ready. The front desk told me it shouldn’t be long and he would call me. So we went downstairs and ate. 5:30 still no phone call so 5:45 we went back to ck.it was ready and he forgot to call me. I told him I wasn’t happy about the room and not getting called. He got really defensive and started telling me he can’t do anything because I went through a third party(Expedia) but didn’t charge for our parking. That evening we couldn’t get the internet to work on our phones. No one could help. Didn’t know why. Really??? Next morning getting my receipt I kindly said my concerns with the desk and she also was very rude and said they are training new people and sometimes it takes longer and that I should understand. I do understand they are rude and didn’t do their job. People are traveling and tired and have to wait 2hrs after check in time and then not be offered another room and be told to understand. No!
- Robin (10/5): - Wonderful stay, great room and beautiful views
- Kelly (6/5): - The room looked nice when we first arrived. However, we found hair in the shower, there was no toilet paper and the light over the shower started flashing like a strobe light at a disco. We called the desk clerk who said he would see what he could do. After an hour of waiting (and no return call from the clerk) we called him back and found out that the maintenance person wanted us to just turn the light off. One switch controls all of the lights in the bathroom so that wasn't possible. The clerk didn't understand why showering in the dark was not an option. Once again he said he'd see what he could do. We never heard from him again, the maintenance person did not arrive and no one offered to let us switch rooms. Unbelievable. So much for "hospitality." Oh, and beware the $14.95 parking charge that the morning clerk admitted is hidden in the fine print.
- Darla (10/5): - Beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet.
- Janet (10/5): Wonderful Hotel - Our stay was amazing at the Tru Hotel in Deadwood. Very clean and comfortable ! The breakfast was the best breakfast that I have ever had complimentary.
And then there was the sweet, Ashley, that checked us in and out. What an asset she is to your business!! Kudos to her. You best keep her around as she was just amazing and fun!! Will def stay there again!
- Kim (8/5): - Decent property. Bad timing for working on parking lot.
- Luuk Wilhelmus Johannes (8/5): Prima - Dichtbij het centrum. Erg goed ontbijt met veel keuze
- Nina (8/5): - Friendly staff, clean room, hallways at times were dirty,
- Tim (8/5): - Not the Deadwood vibe. Just a nice clean modern motel.
- Nancy (9/5): - Everything was clean, modern, pleasant! People friendly and helpful.
