- 836tjg (10/5): Clean Comfortable Convenient - Our stay was excellent! My daughter had surgery at the Mayo Clinic, and we stayed from March 16–19. The hotel was clean, beautiful, and very welcoming, with spacious, comfortable rooms that made a stressful time much easier. The kitchen doesn’t include a cooktop, but it was still very functional with a microwave and dishwasher. We also appreciated the good coffee, underground parking, and indoor pool. The location is perfect—close to stores and with a convenient shuttle to the Mayo Clinic. We would definitely stay here again!

The room was spotless and the room was so comfortable. The hot tub had a bit too much chlorine and was a tad strong for us. But overall the temp was perfect and the area was great. Just a little strong for us to be in there for more than 5 minutes.

- Trek61747817301 (2/5): Dirty, house keeping needs a refresher - We checked in Saturday, February 1st, for what was scheduled to be a six-night stay, checking out the following Saturday. This reservation was made through the hotel’s partnership program with Edison Healthcare — a program specifically designed to support patients traveling to Rochester for Mayo Clinic surgeries and medical care. This hotel advertises itself heavily as a Mayo Clinic supporter and recovery-friendly environment, which made our experience especially concerning. Upon initial check-in, we were given a room that was clearly not cleaned. The kitchen countertops were covered in food residue, cheese, smear marks, and sticky buildup. The bathroom floor still had blood present. Additionally, there was visible blood on the exterior door of room 215 in the hallway, which we reported to the front desk on the day we checked in. We immediately notified the front desk about the condition of our room. We were told staff would come up and clean it, which they attempted to do. After leaving for approximately two hours, we returned to find that while some surface cleaning had been done, the bed had been remade with dirty sheets. Photos clearly show excessive dog hair, false eyelashes, and other debris consistent with a previously slept-in bed. This was not caught during their re-check or re-clean. Due to this, we were moved from room 211 to room 203. While the second room appeared visually clean, it had zero hot water. The water remained ice cold for the entirety of our stay in that room. When we notified the front desk, we were met with excuses that no one else had reported issues and that maintenance would “look into it.” We left for approximately four hours and returned to find no resolution. After waiting an additional 15 minutes, we flagged maintenance ourselves. Maintenance informed us that the hotel had experienced a pipe burst on Friday (two days before our check-in), repairs were completed, but no one ever confirmed that the hot water was turned back on. The hot water valve had remained closed from Friday through Monday. Given the conditions and lack of urgency, we elected to check out early. During checkout, we again raised concerns about the blood on the hallway door outside room 215. At that time, we were told that the desk agent and head of housekeeping had walked the halls and “could not find it,” despite it being visible when we reported it on both the day of check-in and the morning of checkout. The checkout process itself was also extremely frustrating. The clerk advised we would be charged for the second night because we checked out approximately 30 minutes past cutoff time, despite the circumstances. We were unable to receive a receipt or checkout documentation and were told we would need to return to the property the following day. To make matters worse, we notified the hotel that a toiletry bag containing extremely important medications was missing. We were still local in town through Saturday the 7th. The hotel did not locate or contact us about the bag until Monday the 9th. This was one of the most stressful and unacceptable hotel experiences we have ever had especially for a property that markets itself as a safe, clean, and supportive environment for medical patients recovering from Mayo Clinic care. This stay was the opposite of healing.

- OnAir59726245060 (10/5): Volleyball team home away from home - We have always had a great experience at the Home2Suites in Rochester! I am a volleyball club director and have several teams staying at various times throughout the year. The sales staff, front desk staff, and cleaning staff are all top notch. They accommodate our team meals and provide us with a place where we can come back after long tournament days (full of tournament food) and cook nutritious food to help fuel our athletes. We will continue to stay at the Home2Suties for our many trips to Rochester throughout our season.

It was loud, doors slamming, I'm assuming it was kids running up and down the halls. Didn't get much rest. But is a nice hotel, very friendly staff. Even gave me puke bags for my daughter for our 11 hour ride back to Michigan, close to Mayo, loved that they had transportation to the clinic.

Everything was great, when asked for a towel we were offered a whole bag, instead of usual hotels that only offer on or two extra towels.. great job Hilton.

- 5960Bob (10/5): Good hotel that is the complete package to meet your needs during visit to Rochester - Home2 Suites, Rochester has large suites with full size refrigerator, microwave, partition curtain in suite to divide kitchen and dining/living area from bedside of suite in evening so one person can stay up and watch TV while another rests/sleeps. A couch that transforms to a bed for additional people. 24 hour coffee and tea downstairs and a breakfast downstairs in the lobby area with variety such as bagel and cream cheese or a sausage and egg sandwich and we had bacon on the weekend days were there. Orange juice and all day apples in a basket at the checkin counter. hard working staff that keep the hotel clean and on a -11 F day we were there we had the heated garage that kept the car temperature in the 60's. We have stayed here before and use the Home2 Suites shuttle that is a short ride to the Mayo Gonda building or will take you to Saint Mary's hospital. Tim was the driver that picked us up after we called him when our appointments were complete and he is a good man. Jasmine on the night shift was doing a good job working early in the mornings keeping the lobby clean and working the front desk. The day time check in man was excellent and helpful and informative. We have stayed here many times now in the past 7 years or more since it was built and prefer it after trying other Hilton properties in Rochester, Minnesota. No parking fee is another good benefit. Parking in garage had spaces large enough for full size SUV and many parking spots in front of hotel. We like the benefits of staying at Home2Suites in Rochester. Also, if you request a room on the river side of the hotel you will likely see geese and ducks in the river and an eagle fly around sometimes.
- Wander43577397557 (10/5): Great home away from home - I stayed here for a week and had a great experience. The room is very nice and has a good kitchen. They even have skillets you can use. They provide a solid breakfast with coffee, tea, and water (even bottled) all day. They have a fantastic free shuttle service that takes you basically anywhere you want to go. I didn't ever have to drive myself. They even have a heated garage with quite a few spots to park your car in. All the team members were very kind and helpful. If/when I have to come back to Mayo, I'll definitely stay here. Shout-out to the Tims for being so amazing!

Apparently they have an underground parking garage but we either didn't qualify for the covered parking or were not informed by the front desk staff. Parking, especially for handicapped is limited in front of the hotel. We had reserved and were provided keys to an accessible room. The smell in the room could only be compared to an overfilled and overused cat litter box - like getting hit in the nose when I walked into the room. The front desk staff moved us to a non-accessible room which made life harder for my handicapped wife and more time consuming for me as her caretaker. We were able to speak with the manager the next morning and were provided an accessible room the next day. I appreciate the manger's attention, solicitude, and for working to find us an appropriate room.

- Susan (10/5): Hidden gem in the heart of the city! - Location was good, right in the heart of the city but not in the noisy area. Close to mall, Mayo civic center, Mayo Clinic/hospital and dining options. Shuttle available for Mayo patients. The room we stayed in was a queen suite which consisted of 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. There is a curtain to separate the sleeping from the sitting area. The room was very spacious, clean and quiet. The kitchen has an apartment sized refrigerator with plenty of freezer space. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. Our room also overlooked the river behind the hotel. The facility was clean, well lit and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Any staff I encountered always had a “hello” with a smile. The pool area & patio was kept clean. The pool is a good sized and not too cold, the hot tub was hot and large enough for 6-8 adults comfortably. The breakfast was fresh and hot with plenty of variety and plenty of seating for diners. The mattresses are on the firmer side so if you are a side sleeper like myself, you may have sore hips & shoulders in the morning. But that is my own personal preference. Nothing else to comment on what I didn’t “like” about this property or stay!

The bathroom in our room was not a clean as i would expect. The area around the faucet and the area in the sink and on the shower rails weren't clean. The worst though were numerous what looked like pet stains on the carpet in the room.

Over the past several months, Andy was consistently kind, helpful, and genuinely invested in making our experience smooth and memorable. He helped us set up our room block, made adjustments when needed, and always communicated with patience and care. The team even created a flyer that had our wedding and shuttle schedule that was handed to guests as they checked in. One of the most thoughtful moments was walking into our hotel room after the wedding to find roses, rose petals, candles, chocolate, champagne, and ice cream waiting for us. It was such a beautiful gesture and the perfect way to end our special day. We received so many compliments from our guests about how much they loved the hotel, the shuttle service, and their overall stay. The hotel was clean, pet friendly, and safe. I enjoyed the breakfast every morning and the free bottle water. Panera's and Buffalo Wild Wings next door was so convenient. Used the workout room, the pool and took a few trips down the walking trails right next to the building. Used the shuttle to the Mayo clinic which was right on time both ways and the driver was also very nice. We enjoyed our stay here a lot and would definitely stay again.
