Vicky (9/5): Overall we enjoyed our stay here . I would stay again . Quiet, friendly people and host . - The dock on water , had things to play and keep busy chairs to watch the sunset. The parking is a small area . Not enough plug ins in the place . No storage spots for lady things . And I don’t even wear makeup .

We found several cockroaches. We live in Florida so we expect bugs but there were several dead cockroaches in the bedroom. Maybe they should inspect the property before guest arrive.

I love to watch the sunset, and this property had the perfect view. I enjoyed it with a glass of wine. The Owner was friendly, making the experience even better. We will be going back here. Pool coming soon. Highly recommend Paradise Cove if you’re truly looking to relax in peace and comfort. Everything you need is also here as far as laundry room and stores that you can walk to. Also private beach and fishing which my dog and I used daily. Thanks Paradise Cove

The place was completely cleaned up and fixed so soon after the storms. Liked evenings by the water and watching the sunset.

Jeffrey (8/5): Nice place - The best part of this place was the access to a very small beach area that included a dock to enjoy. We sat out with friends in a partly sun and partly shaded end of the dock. We had a 2-bedroom unit, with a nice full kitchen. It is an older place with older furniture, and 2 window air conditioners. The location is off the beaten path, close to Englewood Beach.
Verified traveler (6/5): - We enjoyed the dock and the quietness of the area. We did not enjoy being rushed out of our cottage prior the indicated check-out time without prior notice due to a painting subcontractor solicited by the Staff arriving to walk the cottage to prepare a painting proposal.
Krissandra (10/5): Clean and cozy - Paradise cove unit 10 was a cozy cottage. It was very clean and well kept. We will definitely book again when we are in the lemon Bay Area.

StacyBlemaster (2/5): - No hot shower in my room. Came and moved me into another room. No hot shower in that room either. I complained and asked for my money back. They wouldn’t give it to me unless I drove to their place of business. I felt that due to my inconvenience, they should at least brought me the check. Still haven’t gotten a refund. Yuck!

Aida (8/5): Quiet and relaxing. - My stay at Paradise Cove was great. My unit was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The AC window unit was very noisy. I wished the unit had central air because it felt hot if you were sitting in the kitchen area. Parking was not great. Someone parked in my assigned spot and did not move his precious car during my whole stay so I had to park in front of my unit‘s door (which was not allowed). If people come in more than one vehicle, there is not enough space for everyone. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would stay at Paradise Cove again in the future.
Mary (4/5): - Property was old and run down. #4 has one little window air conditioner in the bedroom for the whole condo. It does not keep it even cool in the living room and kitchen. In the afternoon it gets steamy in there even with the ceiling fan running. Staff in the office was great thought. They respond very quick before your stay to make sure everything is complete.
Jan (10/5): - Our place was beautiful! It was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Very comfortable old Florida feel vacation rental. Very roomy. And the outside is unbelievably perfectly old Florida great fishing on the dock you can bring your boat or rent a boat nearby and bring it to the dock. And plenty of parking if you have extra vehicles you can park across the street in their other area. Beautiful view of lemon Bay right on lemon bag and beautiful view of Minnesota K right across the Bay and the best part about it is the sunset right over the Bay gorgeous you will not be disappointed at this place that's for sure!

Verified traveler (6/5): - Location was great. Wood steps nearly caving in, bed could barely hold our weight, only 1/2 roll of toilet paper at check in and no spare roll. Air conditioner struggled to keep it cool inside. Also an empty tissue box. Dock was nice but in the evenings it smelled like someone was dumping waste in the water.
SueEllan (2/5): Don't do it. - I stayed in the studio room as that was only spot available. Advertising portrays it as a special little spot. Room had no central heat just a ceramic cube for emergency heat. I had to use it because it was a cold spell. Hot water was barely tepid and not able to take a shower because of it. Patio door doesn't close properly without playing around with it for a time. Only a hasp for locking. Floor uneven. TV directions terrible. A man came by to fix it for me.

Wesley (6/5): - The bed was so hard. It was so cold at night and we didn’t c any type of heat. We about froze and couldn’t wait to leave. The room was nice and clean.
Verified traveler (8/5): - It took us a bit of time to find our accommodation. We hadn't appreciated that Paradise Cove didn't have a manned reception desk at all, so it took some time to find our cottage as it was sited across the road from the main address given. Having said that the property was generally clean, comfortable and well equipped. We were surprised to find, what we thought were, mouse droppings in some kitchen drawers and cupboards. As we found we were passing the rental companies offices the next morning we decided to call in to tell them. They were apologetic and said it would most likely be lizard droppings and that the cleaners would normally have checked everything but they had been under pressure for a quick turn around. Speaking to some other residents during our stay we determined that there hadn't been occupancy in our cottage immediately before our rental. Unfortunately too on our last night it was very wet and the next morning we found water was dripping from the ceiling into the main bedroom onto the television electrics. After contacting the management company, whose office was about 2 miles away, they said they would get somebody to sort it out as soon as we had left that morning.

Jason (2/5): Bug Feces in room!!!! - We booked a stay here for our 5 year wedding anniversary due to the majority or the reviews being good and the pictures on the site. The room was nothing like the pictures. We were due to check in at 2 and was told the key would be waiting for us. We arrived early and found the key. Upon entering the room we found that nothing in this room was like any of the pictures, everything seemed outdated and very cramped. When looking through the kitchen cabinets we found bug feces(shown in the pictures). At this time we decided to book a different room somewhere else. I called to let them know that we would not be staying here due to what we had found. I was offered a different room but wasn't willing to stay here due to a lot of the rooms being connected. I was never offered a refund or credit or anything even though we wouldn't be staying there. All I got was we are sorry you had to be the one to find that. In my opinion this is very poorly run establishment. If someone finds something like that you should be offered a refund even though it is out of the cancellation period. Good business practice would be to make this right for a customer! Not just keep their money!
Verified traveler (6/5): - In Unit 7, the bed and pillows were uncomfortable. The tub/shower is old and hard to stand in and the A/C unit was not big enough to handle the space especially at this time of the year. The sliding glass door did not open easily and the actual lock on the sliding glass door did not work, there was a simple lock added that anyone could have broken with little strength.
Verified traveler (8/5): - The property is on the waterfront with great views. Minutes from the local beaches and local shops. Very quiet and peaceful area. Possibly found as many sharks sharks teeth in the driveway as we did at the Beach. Ohh, and the unit was very pleasant to stay in as well. A kitchen, washer and dryer, local cable tv and AC. Home away from home.

Verified traveler (2/5): AWFUL-DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY - This place got decent reviews so I went ahead and booked out stay for my mother and I. This place is in a cove but unfortunately, we couldn’t step foot near the water because the algea was so overgrown and smelled terrible, I actually got sick. The first two nights , I had to sleep on the couch because there were crickets in the bedroom walls. Th air conditioning didn’t work well at all. The third night, we woke up to gurgling noises coming from the bathroom. Black junk (assuming the algae from the cove) was coming out of the tub. When I flushed the toilet, the water wouldn’t go down and when I tried to plunge it, the black junk came out of the sink and the tub. Upon calling the manager, she said she’d try to get a plumber in. She sent us to a new cabin and we quickly moved in there and left to meet me grandmother for a play. When we returned, I jumped into the bed and was immediately accosted by fleas. The cabin was infested with fleas. By that time it was 10:30 pm and too late to call the manager so my mom and I quickly left the cabin and spent the night at the airport. When we called in the morning the manager said she would talk to the owner....we’ve called several times and never heard back. DO NOT STAY HERE!
R. Michael (10/5): Lemon Bay - The stay was awesome. It’s quaint, fair priced and perfect enough room for the family. Englewood Beach is great for seashell gathering, but trying to get through the seashells to swim will kill your feet. You’ll probably end up at Venice Beach about 18 mins north. Not a big deal for the cost and rental space. There are some cool places to eat at the inlet of Lemon Bay. Music, cornhole...etc Enjoyed the stay.

Verified traveler (6/5): - The advertisement is decieving, not on beach, only a short peer. Door into our unit drug on tile floor so bad , apparently for a very long time as there are black marks. Not for older visitors. Furniture in our unit is outdated and not comfortable. Futon couch that was so bad, we had to take chair cushions and and footstool cushions to put on it to sit halfway comfortable. Toilet kept refilling every 20 minutes which kept me up most of the night. Cold upon our arrival with no instructions for heat. Found that on second night, a plug in fireplace, that was great! Wish we had found it the night before. There isn’t a dishwasher and you have to clean your dishes before you leave, take out your trash, towels in tub , etc.., Debra the property manager is excellent. The parking is quirky, you don’t park by your unit. The only unit that faces the water is #5, the rest are on a driveway going in. We went for rest and couldn’t stay in the unit because it was too uncomfortable, if your going just for a place to shower and sleep, your good. The owners need to put money into some amenities and a new umbers would be a welcome site at the patio!
Beau (10/5): - This property consists of older cottages that are showing their age but very clean and well-maintained. Everything was safe and in good working order. Manager was excellent and we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We plan to stay here again. Highly recommend!
