They advertise complimentary breakfast, but the dining room was not very nice, the breakfast was eggs, sausage, and potatoes, with no healthy options. Paper plates and plastic utensils. It felt like summer camp, not a $325/night hotel.

- Monica (10/5): 5 Stars for The Historic Sheridan Inn! - Highly recommend The Historic Sheridan Inn when in Sheridan, Wyoming! The hotel itself is striking with so much historical significance. Front desk guy was friendly and helpful with recommendations for places to eat dinner. We enjoyed an amazing burger and local beer at Smith Alley Brewing in the cute downtown area. Our bed was comfy, room was quiet, claw-foot bathtub was perfect to unwind after a long day of driving. All in all, the Historic Sheridan Inn is 5 Stars!!

- Robert (10/5): Sheridan Inn - Like being in old western Wyoming - Only an overnighter as was just passing through Sheridan. But a lovely place. Very old fashion. Even still use a real KEY for the room. Quaint. If you want something that brings you back to yesteryear this would be your place. But no complaints and glad I stayed there

Also the walk-in shower with the half wall of glass was beautiful, but the half wall of glass with no door on the shower is not very effective at keeping water in the shower. There is no refrigerator, and you have to ask for ice at the front desk. No problem for us. Otherwise we loved the historic nature of the furnishings and the bathroom. We really enjoyed the rich history of the entire place.
- Kathryn (10/5): - The Sheridan was such a lovely treat after camping in Teton and Yellowstone! There are no showers in the rooms, but the bathtubs are huge and luxurious. The historic building was so cool too, and I love how they have pieces of history sprinkled throughout. The location is super close and walkable to the adorable Main Street, which has a bunch of cute shops and restaurants. Breakfast was also great!
- Barbara (2/5): Cancelled trip - WARNING DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL WITHOUT TRAVEL INSURANCE. Even though we booked a room with a fully refundable rate, when our plans fell through 16 days before our stay, they would not refund our money. They had a one month cancellation policy! So while this maybe a wonderful historic hotel, I cannot recommend anything that takes money from people but delivers no service.
- Sally (6/5): - Although our stay was comfortable the front desk staff seem to be noncommunicative when we asked to put our bags behind the counter because the room wasn’t ready, which would be totally acceptable at any other hotel. Also, for the two days we were there the bar and restaurant were open, which was really why we booked it in the first place, so that was very disappointing. It probably wouldn’t hurt to have at least one television available too so people can keep up with the weather, etc.. I think the biggest complaint is just staff needs to be more welcoming and accommodating, it is a tourist industry.

- Jane (10/5): A Gem - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The restaurant had a terrific menu, totally unexpected, and very top-notch. The town has several breweries within short walking distance, and the saddlery museum is super interesting. I had never heard of Sheridan, though my husband, who is from North Dakota, Has. I consider it a gem, especially for midwestern suburbanites or those who have lived for an extended time outside of America, like me.

All the staff we interacted with went above and beyond, the room was comfortable and clean and we enjoyed reading all of the literature on the history of the building and people the rooms are named after that we found in the room. The clawfoot tub with shower handle in our room made it easy to wash our hair, but also relax in the large luxurious tub. We will definitely stay at this location again the next time we are heading through Sheridan.

- Emily (10/5): A memorable stay at a historic inn - Our stay at the Sheridan Inn was quiet (low season, so not a lot of other guests) and the room was very clean. Whatever updates seem to have been done relatively recently, and they were well done—in keeping with the original architecture and design while allowing for modern conveniences. The history of the inn really made our stay special; we liked the framed architectural plans and other history that we found. We appreciated that there was not a giant television (or any TV) in our room, but the Wi-Fi was fast. We loved the fireplaces in the common rooms, and for a “light” breakfast, the offerings were great—frittatas, lots of fresh fruit, pastries and bagels, cold cuts and cheese, granola and yogurt and toppings, plus good coffee for a hotel. The restaurant in the Inn, the Open Range Bar and Grill, was good, too (the food was better at the Rib and Chop House, though). We’d definitely stay again.
- Charles (10/5): - Unique hotel with dining and a bar. Rooms are Wyoming feeling and well appointed. Comfortable bed. My room had a couch and two chairs, a huge tub, but no shower. Hot water was warm, not hot, which was a downside. Got a little train noise but not too bad. No iron/ironing board in the rooms if that's something you need (I do) and no TV, which I never use anyway. Nice common areas in the halls with couches, tables for puzzles and games and more. I liked the vibe of the place and I'm glad I stayed here.

Especially if you appreciate history and admire historical restoration, don't miss this place! Charming and comfortable in all respects.

Incredible attention to detail in terms of the room appointment. My family really enjoyed our unfortunately short stay at this hotel.

- Jeff (10/5): - What a charming historic hotel. Every room is named after a famous figure of the late 1800s early 1900s. And Buffalo Bill actually lived in this place and managed it for a while and Wild West shows in the front yard. Fantastic staff

- William (2/5): - As a group that traveled over 800 miles we were excited by the fact that there was a room with three beds. Much to our surprise that room had no shower, no tv. It was very disappointing that was the outcome after a long day of traveling. Understanding the historic side and all there should either be major renovations and preserve such or keep it as is and make it a museum. In todays world no one should have pay the money asked of for the limited amenities Sheridan Inn provides.
- Trina (8/5): - The air conditioning in our room did not work, but it was very clean and in a great area. There were a family of.vumny rabvits that greeted us when we arrived. I loved the stories related to each room. This in is supposed to be haunted. We did not know that until we arrived. My husband got spooked on the 3rd floor and they graciously moved us to the 2nd floor.

- trish (10/5): - Loved the Sheridan Inn. The guy at check in was extremely accommodating. He showed me the room before we paid. He shared his knowledge of the hotel which was very interesting. Loved the era appropriate decor. Cool old photographs everywhere. Loved how the rooms were decorated and each room themed. Even a folder with the history of the Inn and the people each room is themed after. Just loved this place!
- Mary (6/5): - I was not happy to be told there was a $56.00 fee for having a pet. Supposedly it was pre-paid except for things such as room service and mini-bar. The room is terribly musty it hits you when you walk in.
- Jonathan (10/5): - This is a charming hotel that was built in the 1890s. It still has the flavor of the period although everything looks new and well maintained. The rooms are large and well appointed. The town is pleasant and has character and plenty of places to eat.

- Mark (8/5): - Classy and has its own charm but need to be able to control heat in your hotel room, needs more arrow towel racks in bathroom, mirror in room you get dressed in so you can see yourself before you go out,fan in bathroom but most of all needs either a real shower or curtains around the bathtub if you want to take an actual shower-no curtain and a thermostat set to 68 and can’t b turned up makes for a cool bath or “shower”. Mireya and connie were beyond helpful and friendly and the place is way charming-we are considering trying it again in warmer weather!
- Charlynn (8/5): - If you are looking for an old fashion quiet getaway to relax. This is your place. You can sit on the rockers and look at the trains or walk through the building and look at the pictures and the many rooms. It's very close to down town to shopping and restaurants, even some museums. After you get through with your day you can go back to your very clean room and so soak in the Deep tub in your room and the salts that they have left for you.There is no t.v. so if you want that you better bring your laptop.. Otherwise bring a good book and enjoy the quiet with a cup of coffee or tea. The only complaint I had was i expected a breakfasts and I got a card to take down to a coffee shop that made some scones and muffins. It gave you $8 off your order. The place was very expensive. I had a juice and a small tarte and that was the hole amount. I left and ate breakfast somewhere else. That was the only downfall. They need to change the wording to not say that they offer breakfast. Otherwise it's a once in a lifetime experience. Especially if you get a little bit of the history of the place.
- Brad (10/5): Great historic hotel stay. - Excellent historic hotel with a beautiful bar. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Bar and restaurant are currently closed but a breakfast voucher is available for use at a very nice restaurant. Hotel is located in historic Sheraton Wyoming.
- Harlan (10/5): - They had a hand shower in a tub, but was unable to use as there was no curtain to contain the spray in an open tub. Also, its a shame they have no food service at this excellent property!
