Eugene (8/5): Never stay here it is impossible to sleep because of the loud night club next to the property. - Location Never never never stay here ....the bar next door plays loud music until 1:00 AM making it impossible to sleep. The hotel said they have ear plugs only after we call down stairs to complain. We were on the third floor in the center of the hotel and it was impossible to sleep.

Frank (7/5): I would stay again if in the area. - It was in a good location for us. You can hear the train if that matters. They do supply earplugs. That didn’t bother me. Beds were comfortable. Parking was full. Tesla charger was blocked by a staff member’s car that wasn’t an electric vehicle. I wasn’t able to charge. Having a charge there was a big factor for me.

Sharon (8/5): - This was an enjoyable stay. The suite had all the necessary amenities I didn't expect or know we needed, like dishes and dish detergent. They even supplied paper towels. The breakfast was adequate. The turkey bacon was limp and too salty. Regular bacon and sausage should have been offered daily. The worst part of the room was the sofabed. It was extremely dated in appearance and was unbearably uncomfortable. It took housekeeping until the evening hours to attend to our room.

Glen (10/5): - Making a reservation through Hilton was terrible. I was unable to complete the online reservation. Selected the date and room but the payment info page was locked. When I called Hilton reservations, i was quoted a price More than $60 than listed on Hilton website. Bathroom faucet so loose it almost fell off the countertop. very low water pressure in the shower, a trickle. I was told that was due to village water use restrictions in place.

Verified traveler (8/5): Smart Choice! - The best hotel to stay at in Carbondale in terms of modern design, comfortability, and great service. My only issue was that the air conditioner in the bedroom is on an automatic timer which, while an eco-friendly design choice, led to the room being uncomfortably warm at times with no option to turn the timer off. Other than that, everything else about our stay was excellent including the free breakfast. This will be my go-to hotel whenever I visit Carbondale!

It is loud in your room and the front desk actually gives out ear plugs! The room was somewhat wet... moisture on the couch and bed. 25 dollar hold on your card for 'incidentals'. Breakfast was ok. Would never stay here again.

kevinkorell (6/5): OK stay in Carbondale, but no internet ??!! - As a Hilton Honors Diamond member I enjoy staying at different properties within Hilton's portfolio. I chose this place for a few reasons. I needed to do laundry at this point of my trip (and Home2 is known for its Spin2Cycle), and also it's the endpoint a rail line that I rode from Chicago and would go back the next morning. Everything ahead of the trip worked well.... the day before I checked-in over the app and chose my room. When I got there I went directly to my room and then downstairs to take care of my laundry. Although one of the two washers was not working, nobody else luckily was doing theirs at the same time. It was an easy process. The room itself was OK... plenty of space in a typical Home2 studio type accommodation. TV and climate control worked well. Bathroom had a lot of room as well. No issues with hot water. The negative issue here was the fact that I could not use the internet. It would not connect during my entire stay. This is 2025, and the ability to connect to the outside world is as important as say, providing me with electricity, running water, etc. I did text to the front desk about this, and was told that there was some sort of outage and that it extended beyond the hotel property, whatever that meant. The inability to use the internet when I needed it was a definite inconvenience to me, considering that I am riding on trains around the country where I don't expect it. Inside a hotel is my only way of doing the work I need to do on my laptop. Next morning I had to arise early to catch my train back to Chicago. I did appreciate the quick breakfast, although with the train leaving at 7:30 AM, it would have been nice to have breakfast available before 7 AM when I actually wanted to leave the property. But the food was adequate. A nice property, but it's time to come into the 21st century with what is an expected modern amenity.

659ericm (10/5): A Great Place For An SIU Weekend!!! - This hotel was wonderful from check-in to checkout. The staff were incredible, the location was perfect to walk and visit SIU Campus. The rooms were great, affordable and the continental breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. Highly recommend if you’re doing a college memory lane quick trip or visiting the campus.

Between the regular trains, cars on the street, and people shouting, I essentially paid a hefty price to get some of the worst sleep I’ve ever had. The room itself was dated and in need of repair. The bathroom doors did not stay closed and much of the furniture was ripped or stained. In addition to the room issues, the pool was ice cold and a disappointment for the kids. I had high hopes for the hotel after staying in another Home2 Suites just days earlier, but this one was a letdown, and we won’t be back.
