- Family (8/5): - Staff were friendly and very helpful, even though we arrived quite late at night. Our room was large (twice the size of a typical hotel room) and clean. The queen bed had an older spring mattress that was decent but not overly comfortable. The sofa bed was older with a thin mattress. (Ask for a room with a futon instead of a sofa bed.) Walls were on the thinner side so noise carried from other guests and the bar downstairs. The flight of stairs was quite steep--watch your step. Rooms were being updated. You could tell the owners took good care of their property. We had a fine experience and would book here again.

- Cindy (2/5): - First thing is that we got the wrong room, we paid extra for a full futon ended up getting a room with a chair and bed. There is no door on the bathroom, hard to tell from pictures probably do that on purpose. It was decently clean apart from the fact that the last person left a douche in the draw, almost left right there and then when we saw that but there was no other hotels available… Also when the owner was showing us our room he asked for us to unplug the microwave when we leave so we don’t blow a breaker. The towels had holes in them and the bar was right under our room and they were blasting music but that’s no biggie for us.

Staff were friendly but not very talkative. Parking is provided on the street and on a small plaza out back. Overall we enjoyed our one night stay.

- Joachim (8/5): Good place to stay during your travels on #16! - Basic accommodation, but everything that I required. The room was nice, well kept, clean, and COOL (very important in this heat). The host was super nice and very attentive to his guest’s (mine) needs. I would definitively recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

- Tony (4/5): - The room was very clean. The staff was very friendly & accomodating. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to staffing issues. The bed was smaller than expected as well as the love seat sized futon, which we needed for sleeping accommodation. The picture of the room in the booking site was a fair bit larger than the room we were given. The building itself is quite old & parking is on street. We did not have a problem parking at all. And with access to the rooms being off street front - the parking worked well. Being a travelling construction worker by trade - I have stayed in many very similar hotels in smaller cities/towns. This was one of the cleaner, older hotels or motels I have stayed in. However the price was by far the most expensive for the condition of this property. I would have expected to pay about 1/2 the price or less than we did, for the condition of the amenities. But as described at the beginning - the staff were very pleasant & the room was clean. If you have to get only two things correct - those would probably be on the top of my list.

It’s nothing fancy by any means, so if you have high standards, it may not be the place for you. Yeah, there was a bit of bar noise, but nothing I haven’t heard at fancier hotels too. The room I had was huge. It’s dated, but clean. Owner was super nice and helpful.

- Blair (6/5): - This is an older small town hotel and the room matched the description. The room was clean, larger than expected and was setup as a suite. However, there was black mold in the shower that we had the staff clean up. The owner was accommodating for dealing with issues. The room had a fridge and microwave but surprisingly didn't have a coffeemaker. We had to go out for morning coffee since the restaurant didn't open until 10 AM. We could hear music from the bar at times too.

- Mohamad (8/5): Excellent Service Nice Manager - I was on the way to Alberta with both of my parents so I stayed here for 1 night in early August. Not all rooms have AC but it was not hot inside my room. The owner was really kind and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.

- Troy (2/5): - The room was very noisy from the pub below. People were constantly stepping into the hallways from the pub to smoke cigarettes and weed. To make matters worse there was a raging bar party that moved from the pub into the hotel after closing time. I was never able to reach anyone to try to get things under control. The administration/front desk numbers either ring forever or go to Heather’s VM that is full. Do not stay here.

- lucas (6/5): - Pros: - easy enough to find - staff are very kind and friendly - very low cost - tv in room has Netflix - clean beds Cons: - large patch of mold on shower curtain - complementary shampoo bottles were completely empty - emergency fire escape was blocked on one end of hallway and windows in room were screwed shut (huge fire hazard) - beds were uncomfortable Final conclusion; Its cheap for a reason and thats because its not supposed to be super fancy, its a place to sleep overnight if you are spending a weekend at asessippi ski hills and it did that job perfectly.

Contacted Expedia who tried to find alternate accommodation, unfortunately they ended the phone call before they were successful, left me in the middle of nowhere in sub zero temperatures. Thanks Expedia!
- Joe (4/5): - It was nice that the tv had Netflix. We originally booked the larger room, but when we arrived we were given the smaller room. Thankfully thr larger one was available and we were upgraded with no issue. There is no door for the bathrooms, there is a curtain but it is see through. One of the bed frames was broken and there was beer can and a gatorade bottle left in the room. The fridge froze our vegetables. We could hear the music from the bar below at different points in the evening. It worked for our family as a place to sleep because we are pretty chill but a lot of people would have left or complained. Not the greatest value for the price.

- Paul (6/5): - Check-in was early thanks to Tyler, who works the bar downstairs. Fridge and microwave functional. The curtain for a bathroom door was strange for sure. No shampoo and only liquid hand soap to shower with. 2 am band playing a set downstairs in the bar until 2:45 am on Sunday kept us all up and unwelcomed. Beds comfortable enough. As my family joked, this was a 4 half-star hotel stay.

- Wanda (10/5): - If you are expecting a 5 star hotel this is not it as it is an older style small town hotel. The few rooms they have are above the bar. Saying that however, the room was clean and bed comfortable. You check in at the bar. Very friendly staff. She took me up to the room so I could check it out and I noticed a stain on the comforter and she changed it immediately. Some people have reviewed that the bathroom has no door but we didn’t find that to be a big deal - it faces away from anything. On that night the bar closed at 11:30 so noise died right down. We didn’t get a chance to try out the restaurant. Just a heads up .. no coffee machine in room. We were completely satisfied with our overnight stay for the low cost we paid.

- Bonnie (6/5): Nothing Like it was Advertised - The room was nothing like we expected. It was a small double bed that was hard as a rock rather than a queen which was what was advertised and booked. No soaps, shampoos or hair dryer. There are no doors to the bathtub area or toilet area. The TV was approximately 24" and only had Netflix and no other channels available. The steps going up two flights were so narrow it was amazing we didn't fall. There was no way anyone could sleep on the twin futon as it was just a chair. Would never stay there again.
- Jennie (8/5): - This is a good, basic hotel with spacious rooms. It is not fancy, but it does the trick and the rooms are a great size if you have 4 or more people. The staff were the kindest we've come across in our cross-Canada trip thus far. Note that not all rooms have AC, there are no coffee makers, and there is at least one room with a curtain instead of a bathroom door.
