• Kelsey (10/5): Perfect stay and incredible value! - Great location. Beautiful historic home. Comfortable and well thought out room. Gorgeous views from the patio. We enjoyed a bottle of wine on the patio for a perfect end to a day wandering the city. I was not bothered in the slightest by this, but be aware that the hotel is not directly accessible by taxi so you will need to carry your bags up several sets of stairs

• Christina (9/5): Super. - Super Lage mitten im Viertel Albaicin. Alles fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Prima Kommunikation mit den Eigentümern- ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Parkplatz für 20€/ Nacht direkt um die Ecke. Durch die Lage kann es am späten Abend (an den Wochenenden) auch mal lauter sein durch vorbei laufende Passanten. Das Kopfsteinpflaster und die steilen, engen Gassen können für Rollkoffer und mobilitätseingeschränkte Personen eine Herausforderung sein- ähnliches gilt auch für die Anfahrt zum Parkplatz... Alles in allem top!

• Geoff (5/5): Not for me because the Bookings description is misleading - Very clean, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, super clean bathroom. The Bookings description infers the patio for viewing the Alhambra is straight out a doorway in the room, which it is not. The room, without running the AC is quiet, but when running the AC, quite noisy because the AC is a portable. We always travel with silicone ear plugs and strongly suggest the same. Communications with the owner are very difficult and not always answered. The clothes washing machine, which we decided not to use, is not vented so on the drying cycle the hot, damp air will go into the room. Be aware that from the gate in the old wall to the hotel is about 600m of cobblestone path with 3 inch steps every couple of meters. Rolling luggage can take a beating.

Not a negative thing but something to keep in mind if you come in a bigger car. But it was great to be able to park our car near the accommodation!

• Els (7/5): Aangenaam - Wij hebben in een zeer goed bed geslapen. Het huis is zeer authentiek, heel netjes. Host heeft ons goed geholpen bij zaken die niet duidelijk waren. Veel Rust in huis ondanks situering in hartje van stad Granada. Wij hebben wat last gehad met het op voorhand registreren via link voor check in. Dat gaf wel wat stres. Wat wel beter vermeld moet worden, is dat je met de auto door extreem smalle straten moet en nogal vlot manoeuvres moet kunnen maken om tot bij het huis te komen. In de keuken hebben we ook een beetje last gehad van de kookplaat op inductie met 2 pitjes. Ging niet zo vlot.

Our Uber driver was not able to find the address and dropped us off far away. We had to move heavy luggage uphill on cobble stone road to the house. The road in front of the house was not car accessible. The host, did help us to get a taxi to a nearby plaza on the day we checked out.

• Alb&Bee (10/5): Cosy studio in a heritage home - Close proximity to everything! And yet so peaceful. The house has great heritage and we felt privileged to stay in it. The hosts were generous with their care and were great local guides. A few steps to carry luggage to the main door, but anything is worth the view.. looking straight at the Alhambra!

• Jasmin (7/5): Okay für eine Nacht allein. - Die Lage ist super. Man erreicht alles gut zu Fuß. Und hat von oben einen schönen Blick über die Alhambra. Die Gastgeber sind nett und hilfsbereit. Es ist sehr klein und dunkel. Nicht wie auf den Bildern bei Booking. Durch den fehlenden Abzug in der Dusche ist es recht feucht und riecht modrig.

La camera è pulita, letto comodo. Consigliato. Abbiamo usufruito del parcheggio a pagamento un pò caro (20 euro a notte).
• Meric (10/5): Great Place to Stay in Granada - It was a beautiful apartment, equipped with a nice bed, table, sofa, and a good-sized kitchen space. The location is also great in the calm Albaicin district, a short distance from the city centre, and the view of Alhambra just outside the door of the building. It was comfortable, nicely warm despite the weather outside being cold when we stayed in December. The check-in was easy and communication was great. We had a request regarding the hair-dryer which was fulfilled quickly. I would recommend and stay again! Having salt and some oil for cooking would be a nice touch to make this an even more outstanding place. Also as information (not a criticism) which we also knew ahead of time: the place is not accessible directly by car or public transport as far as I understand so one needs to walk uphill for some time to get to Casa del Cantaor. This was a bit challenging with heavy luggage, so please do take that into account.

• Per Ola (10/5): Jättemysigt boende mitt i Albaycin - Helt underbart liten lägenhet mitt i gamla Albaycin. Turiststråket utanför dörren men lugnt och skönt ändå. Nära till allt. Vår lägenhet låg mot ”baksidan” men vi hade fin utsikt över Alhambra från terrassen. Välordnat, trevlig och fint bemötande. Knappast något.

Leider ist das Apartment sehr hellhörig, sodass man sowohl die Nachbarn als auch die Menschen draußen hört. Zudem kann man sowohl von der Straße als auch von der Nachbarwohnung (Innenhof) in das Apartment reingucken.
• Aleen (8/5): Charming and comfortable casa in Granada - Very wonderful apartment accommodation in a great location of Granada. Eduardo greeted us to hand over the keys and explain how everything works. The place was kept very clean and we appreciated that there was a washer/dryer in the kitchen. Only complaint was the shower door was broken but we fixed it ourselves and there was not enough coffee pods for the coffee machine but those were minor things. Would recommend this place to stay when visiting Granada.

• Catrin (10/5): wunderschöne, historische und perfekte Unterkunft für Granada - Die Unterkunft befindet sich in einem wunderschönen, historischen Haus, im alten Viertel Albaicin. Dazu eine perfekte Lage, alles fussläufig gut zu erreichen und dabei herrlich ruhig. Die Zimmer wurden liebevoll und praktisch restauriert, so dass es an nichts fehlt. (und ich liebe Springbrunnen :-)) Die Vermieter (eher Gastgeber) sind dazu noch ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit . Nur ein Hinweis, für mich kein Problem, aber für Personen, die sehr groß oder nicht so gut zu Fuss sind, ist das Haus und die Lage im alten Treppenviertel vielleicht nicht ganz so einfach. nichts :-))
• Doug (5/5): Location is perfect with great hosts - Location was great! Walkable to everything. Lots of food and drink options within 5 minutes. Owners were very kind and attentive. Coffee machine was good. Cute patio with view of Alhambra out front. Bedside reading lights and side tables were handy additions. While we take responsibility for booking the small room, the pictures were a bit deceiving. It would probably be fine for one person, but too small for a couple and luggage. They do have larger rooms that would be much better. Driving to the parking garage was treacherous. I would highly recommend parking in an accessible lot outside of old town and taking a taxi to the property.

• Daniela (10/5): Perfect spot at Albaicín - We loved our stay in Granada at Casa del Cantaor. The house is beautiful, both inside and out. The room was very comfortable. We chose the room without a view, which has the advantage of being quiet and peaceful since it faces the back. However, a room with a view of the Alhambra must be incredible. The location is perfect for exploring Albaicín, the Alhambra, and Granada’s city center on foot. Eduardo sent us excellent tips on places to visit and where to eat — it’s really worth following his recommendations. His guide truly enriched our experience in the city. We definitely plan to come back! It was all good.

We had booked parking and because of a mixup we had to run to change parking at noon the second day having to cut our visit to Alhambra to go and change the car.

• Al (9/5): - Park your car in Casa del Cantaor's private parking (extra fee) when you arrive and leave it there until you leave. Granada should be seen on foot to be appreciated and Casa del Cantaor is perfectly located for walking around the whole city. So many bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from just minutes from the guest house. Nothing.

Thanks to our host, Eduardo, we had booked a parking space for our car which was literally two minutes from the Casa del Cantaor. The Casa itself is in the Albaicin, only 5 minutes on foot from the Plaza Nueva and the River Daro. It's a beautifully restored old carmen - a historic house with lovely, restrained furnishings and very comfortable amenities. Eduardo is quick to respond to any requests for information and provides excellent advice. And the views over the Alhambra are stupendous!! Nothing not to like. Our studio apartment was on the first floor and there is, of course, no lift in this beautiful old building, but Eduardo insisted on taking our suitcase upstairs for us so we have absolutely no complaints.
• Adele (8/5): Very good - We booked a studio and we are seniors so climbing up to a loft bed was out of the question. Our fault. Lovely place.
• William (9/5): Superb - Close to shopping, cafes, the Alhambra. Eduardo was a great host. Lots of amenities provided, ie. bottle of wine, muffins, donuts, coffee, tea. Great list of things to do in the confirmation e-mail. Beautiful patio with a great view. It was our mistake in not checking the description more carefully as we didn’t realize the main bed was up a ladder.
• Imre (10/5): 10/10 is not enough! - I would give a 20 instead of 10 if I could. I've been using booking.com heavily for the past 20 years for both holidays and business trips and this was hands down my best experience. If you're looking to make the most of your stay in this incredible city, look no further and book! This place has a very special character and a strategic location. And, above all, Eduardo is the friendliest and most helpful host we have ever stayed with, just a great person. Hasta la próxima!

• Antony (8/5): Very good - the property is in the main location. Everything is like 0.5km walking distance. Lot of restaurants, cafes, shops just below the property 1. The bath was very small. 2. The owner said he will only turn on the heater in the evening after 10:00. We dint say much since we will be mostly away but 1 day we came in early and it was cold since the heater was off. 3. The facilities like iron, washing machine,etc. that are mentioned in booking.com is probably for the deluxe studio and not for the studios

• Frances (9/5): If you want a delightful and authentic stay in Granada close to the Al-Hambra then stay here! - The entire entrance way is magical from the gate on the cobblestone street with a water fountain and jasmine growing on the steps and then into the house with another fountain in an inner courtyard was magical. Sitting on the terrace drinking delicious wine provided by the host with a view of the Al-Hambra is a memory I will never forget. The house is charming and the host very kind. There was good lighting in the bedroom and we loved the shuttered window onto the terrace. The location is spectacular and close to many little cafes and walkable to the Al-Hambra and Plaza Nuevo ( where you can get a taxi to the airport or train station). Wandering the narrow cobblestone streets up and down the hills was delightful! The host kindly met us outside a church at 10pm when we could not find the house after being dropped in a square by the taxi. The pillows could have been more comfortable. We find artificial fibre filled pillows uncomfortable but know some guests may be allergic to down. Perhaps having the option? There were also some cushions on the bed that did not have removable covers so unsure how these are cleaned- perhaps the whole pillow is washed each time? Would have preferred them with covers on to ensure they were clean each time. The bathroom tiny but very clean.

View of the Alhambra from the front door, unfortunately both from our room which was on the back side. Friendly lady let us in and showed us the parking. A nixe bottle of wine waiting for us at our arrival made it feel like home. Very photogenic house The bed was very narrow which made us sleep not as good as we hoped. A terrace on the roof to enjoy the afternoon sun and the view of the Alhambra would have been amazing. Unfortunately this terrace was for the top appartement

• Debra (9/5): Lovely place. - Excellent location. Lovely views. Nice to have breakfast treats. We were in room with mezzanine bed, our mistake. Slept on sofa bed. Bit cramped. Go for room upstairs if possible.Light from foyer was turned off at 3am so shone into room, no way of blocking.

• Paul (2/5): The worst apartment I've ever stayed in in Spain and the most expensive. - The building and the entrance was nice. The bed is up on a platform, which could be ok. But not when the mattress is less than a metre from the ceiling and there's a small platform next to the bed which connects to the floor via steep steps. It didn't look safe so I used the sofa bed instead. As I was using the sofa bed the apartment became even smaller- it was small to start with! The furniture was all old and poor quality and the doors hadn't been varnished for a long time. There's a window above the door that has no blind. When someone is in the area outside the light comes on and stays on for minutes, not seconds- I was woken up a few times during different nights by this. The towels were also poor quality and small- the largest just about went round my waist and I'm thin! For all this I paid £507.95 for 6 nights. I foolishly expected it to be good because of the price together with my experience of apartments on Booking.com. I have rented many over the years and have always been satisfied or very satisfied. If it had been half the price I still wouldn't have like the apartment but at least the cost would have made sense. As a comparison, a friend was staying in a really nice 3 star hotel a few minutes away for the same price.
• Steve (5/5): The hotel was lovely but this room was not great - Great location to the old town. The hotel was a beautiful building and reception area with a lovely terrace and was very secure and private. The host was extremely helpful and provided a lot of information on what to do in Granada There was a loft bed which was not ideal. The couch did fold out to a bed but it was not comfortable. The room only had 2 windows that opened out to the foot path and feet level so made the room very small.
