Guest Reviews
- Belinda (9/5): -
- Shirley (7/5): - Unfortunately there were caravan sites in front of the cabins. This was disappointing to be closed in without a view
- lindsay (10/5): -
- Robert (6/5): Usually travel in a van , would definitely rather do that than this cabin - Location Poorly designed, very very small balcony, which faced west, unable to utilise this small space,. Inside the sun and light poured in the sky lights facing west had to wear a hat to see the tv. Only two persons stayed in this two bedroom cabin, can’t imagine how a family could stay here
- william (8/5): Ok for short stay - Location was overlooking beach with easy access, across road to centre. Cabins advertised as one bedroom but really they are studios with bed in main area with only seating being around dining table.
- Robert (9/5): -
- Ashlee (10/5): Our favourite stay of a trip! Will recommend this to lots of our friends and definitely be back. - The facilities in the park like the laundry were amazing. We stayed in a tiny home which was comfortable and clean! The location is unbeatable. The staff checking in were great. The use of the park bins is also very helpful!
- Bec (10/5): We had a fabulous time and have rebooked for next year - Everyone around is lovely and friendly. Great businesses. Knowledgeable about the local area/fishing spots. Beautiful views
- Lynette (4/5): Not impressed won’t be coming back at that price - The partial ocean view would have been better if no caravans in front lucky you put us in the front tiny home as would have been to office complaining at $345.00 a night The bed the verandah couldn’t sit out because of rain maybe put something up to keep rain off

- Kim (10/5): - Great spot, walk to everything
- kris (8/5): - Location & view Noisy neighbours late at night
- Lesley (10/5): - I loved the tiny house, everything we needed great location
- Linda (7/5): Quite expensive for the size of the unit but everything else was good - Nice view and easy to eateries, lovely staff and nice clean modern unit Unit was very tiny with nowhere to put your suitcase or other items we had to put the suitcase on the bed and move it to the couch each night.
- Lyn (10/5): - Love staying at south west rocks house shoe bay caravan park is always welcoming
- Benjamin (10/5): - Very good
- Darren (8/5): Great getaway for a few days - Absolutely fantastic location Nothing comes to mind
- Lutzen (8/5): -
- Carissa (10/5): -
- Leta (9/5): it was very relaxing - did not apply re breakfast. Location was perfect. Old cabins in need of some money spent on them. New ones look great Blind over the main door gave you no privacy at all
- Jeff (10/5): - Great location, magnificent views from every site. Parking was a bit difficult as roads are narrow and no extra car or trailer parking available.
- Ruth (10/5): - Cabin very neat and tidy even though older style
- Kath (6/5): -
- David (7/5): - SWR Cabin was being the amenities block, would have preferred one north / south . or offered one
- Elliot (10/5): -
- Marion (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Kevin (8/5): - Perfect spot lots to do. Would have liked more comfortable seating in the cabin. Also maybe’s bbq

- Corrinna (9/5): Superb - Best location. Easy walk to everything including shops and beaches
- John (7/5): Good - A great location, would stay there again for that reason.
- Crystal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Beate (8/5): Very good -

- Robert and Sue (8/5): - Very pretty and well maintained
- Kath (8/5): - I love the area, so much to see and so relaxing and peaceful

- Kim (10/5): Excellent! - Everything was spot on, cleanliness, location, staff.
- Brianne (10/5): Incredible beach stay - Loved every moment of it, everyone was friendly including the staff and the location was perfect.
- David (6/5): Small, old , but clean and comfortable enough cabin for a stopover, but noisy construction may impact your stay. - Location of the holiday park right on the coast and handy for the beach and shops.
Cabin, although old and in need of upgrade, was very clean and comfortable enough for a couple of nights. There was construction work during the day literally 2 metres from the cabin with a digger loading soil and rocks into a truck. This started about 7:30am and lasted until after 3pm. As well as the noise, the vibrations in the cabin were pretty unpleasant. We were aware that the cabin was old and due for upgrade, but there was no mention of the fact our cabin was so close to the work either before or at check in.
It is just as well we did not plan to spend much time around the cabin during the day.
- Marta (9/5): Superb - Great service, all very good All good 👍
- Chris (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lyndal (10/5): Location location!! - Location location location!!!
From cabin 8 we had 3 different ocean views. Even the terrible weather could not destroy the beauty of this place.
Cabin is great for two, a little squashed with kids, but we were there for the beach! I would of liked a extra line on verandah to hang the wet swimmers and towels but we were not far from the laundry lines so not a big problem
- Graeme (6/5): Position beautiful, cabin so old and run down put a real damper on our stay - Position beautiful Cabin so run down and needs a real renovation
- Greg (10/5): Exceptional - Thoroughly enjoyed our stay .. great location .. friendly helpful staff .. spotless cabin .. we’ll be back!!
- Jayde (7/5): Good - The beach views Our cabin was dated and parts of the cabin were broken
- Ivan (7/5): Good -
- Susan (8/5): Love love love South West Rocks. - Great location. True beachfront - so close to beach, with no roads to cross was a bonus.Cabin had everything you needed for a short stay. South West Rocks is a wonderful, friendly ittle town with some close by attractions. Cabin was a bit dated and on a slight lean. Outer screen door was difficult to unlock and lock.
- Wayne (8/5): - Awesome located Holiday Park, Adjacent to the Ocean.
All facilities were really good.
- Kerrie (9/5): Superb - Best location for any demographic Na
- Sue (8/5): Very good - Location Nothing
- Sonja (10/5): Exceptional -
- Taylah (10/5): It was perfect! I didn’t want to leave! - The property was lovely in a great location. I felt very comfortable being a solo traveller Nil
- Colleen (3/5): While the location was great the cabins in the Caravan park were very disappointing. - Location was good The state of the cabin was very disappointing. The cabin had a great deal of water damage, the floor sloped. Bunk beds were broken,, mould in the bathroom, door out of alignment which made them difficult to close and lock.
- Jeffrey (2/5): - This property is in a great location, but unfortunately the standard cabins should not be allowed to be booked for stays! They are absolutely disgusting and should be knocked down. The smell in the bathroom was horrible, there was something gooey on the floor under the bed, the blinds on the doorway are torn and broken and don’t close properly, and they don’t leave any soaps, shampoo and conditioners for guests! I have never stayed in any accommodation so bad
- Nicole (8/5): - Waterfront location, close to local dinings options (though many closed Sun/Mon). The cabins were clean but aging and there were noticeable quick repairs completed resulting in an unclean look.
- Anonymous (9/5): Friendly people, happy staff. Lots of whales. - Horseshoe Bay swimming. Right in the beach. Cabins need an upgrade. Getting a little tired. A lounge would be good
- Maxwell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eric (8/5): Very good - Location is within walking distance of shops. Nothing.
- David (9/5): Great location, South West Rocks is a great place to visit. - Fantastic location, close to shops, restaurants & swimming. Greeat walks along the beautiful beaches.
- Jude (9/5): We both would have liked to stay longer. I’m sure we’ll return another time - Fabulous location The cabin was quite old but it was spotless
- Karen (4/5): Great location shame about the cabin - The location The cabin was in urgent need of an upgrade.
It wasn't level which played havoc with my MS
- Hadson (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (6/5): - The cabin itself could do with some updating. Cooking facilities were very old. The actual park was well maintained.
- Kristy (5/5): Passable - Location is stunning. SWR’s is a lovely town with great little coastal shops and a fantastic park for the kids. The SLSC is a great spot for lunch or dinner overlooking the beach.
The food / coffee van at the holiday park was a great addition. The Cabin we stayed in #10 is in need of a make over. The beds were old and mattresses very hard. The bathroom shower door was faulty and we were not advised of this so we got stuck in the shower for an hour as the door jammed shut on us from the outside! The fan in the bedroom is also malfunctioning. The price was expensive for a cabin with so much attention needed.
- James (10/5): - Such a beautiful spot, was a great stay. Too short a stay.
- Stanley (6/5): - Cabins need to be updated. They still had taps from the seventies , rusted stoves ,all so old.
- Jenene (9/5): A very enjoyable break. - Location was terrific. Our cabin was clean and cosy. Unfortunately our cabin was on a slope and this meant the floor tilted. We did book late and the park was full. There was water damage and wood rot evident. Would stay again but request a cabin inside the gates that are newer and on the flat. Still our stay was pleasant. Lack of bench space and the sliding door missing between the main room and the bunk room/ensuite.
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location.
- Judi (2/5): - Cabin #1 - this cabin is long past it’s used by date. The outside pergola covering is unsafe and ready to fall at any time, the concrete outside the front door is uneven due to tree roots - again a trip hazard and unsafe. The whole cabin is on a tilt (I guess due to age and those pesky tree roots) and the slightest movement causes the entire cabin to shake. Do yourself a favour and stay away!!
- Robert (3/5): Poor - Booking one bedroom cabin would expect bedroom to be separate to rest of cabin not just one room.
- Ross (6/5): Good location, cabin a bit tired, but we enjoyed our stay. - Great location next to the Bay. The cabin was old and had many bits that were no longer there - evidence of removed doors, missing blinds etc. Silly things like no chopping board supplied, so people had been chopping on the benches.
- Dianne (10/5): Exceptional - Location. Close to everything. Compact but with room to move Had hoped for cabin 5 with view of horseshoe Bay from the front deck. I was situated behind amenities block, however plenty of time to wander the headland and view the sunset.
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Very Convenient location near town with everything you need. The cabin could do with a makeover to tidy a few things up.
- robert (6/5): Crap unit, Nice park - I stayed in cabin 1 for 6 nights. The cabin was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The cabin has a bad lean/ twist due the roots of the pine tree next to it. It was hard to walk around the cabin because of the slope and I felt I was about to roll out of bed. The cabin is very old and should be replaced. The awning covering the outside area is full of dry rot and looks like it might fall down. The doors didn't close properly due to the lean. The park is in a great location, close to beach and town centre. If you want to stay here avoid unit 1.
- Nicol (9/5): Superb -
- Leah (8/5): Very good - Perfect location. Cabins a little dated.
- Jennifer (9/5): Wonderful location with water views. Can leave the car & walk to everything. - The location is great We liked everything
- Louise (10/5): Best location in SWR, comfy, clean, brilliant!! - Everything!! The location is worth a million dollars. The view! The peace & tranquility! It was so easy to walk everywhere from the cabin. We relaxed from the minute we arrived & didn't want to leave. The cabin was comfy, spacious, clean. Beds were rather hard but we slept very well. The large verandah was a bonus. The guest laundry was so useful, clean & efficient. The office staff were super helpful and a joy to chat with. There is nothing negative to say.
- Chantelle (8/5): Very good - Even though it rained most of our stay, there was still things to do being a short distance from Kempsey for a rainy shopping day. The local food and coffee was very good and the views were wonderful to relax with I didnt like the way my feet turned black after walking barefoot inside the building for a short period of time
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Wendy (9/5): Holiday park cabins - I liked the position of the cabin, the park setting, Walk to everything. Everything you'd need for a short stay. Very comfortable. Bathroom and kitchen facilities are really good. Sleep like a log listening to waves on the beach. The TV needs to be moved or wall mounted for easier viewing from living areas, and there should be a separating petition between bed and other area for the convenience of the early to bed person. Maybe fold back door, even a dark curtain. But otherwise it's faultless.
- Catherine (7/5): Good - The location is exceptional. The view is beautiful with close proximity to restaurants, beaches and park. The facilities are adequate.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carolyn (10/5): A great spot! - Happy with stay. Park is well located, close to shops and beach. Cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful
- Lyndsey (4/5): We loved the location, South West Rocks is a beautiful place and we enjoyed visiting - We loved the location and the friendly vibe of the caravan park. The daily activities were a great bonus which we enjoyed. The cabin was out of level which resulted in a pretty significant slope. The bathroom was not practical as it flooded every time someone used the shower.
- Gail (8/5): - Great location, needs a little work on the cabin we stayed in
- Lowe (7/5): Good - Position Needs upgrading painting, doors off sliders, power point & grill not working but may have been blown fuse. Drapes need replacing
- Bre (8/5): Very good - The bunk beds were great for teaching our little one new self settling techniques Could not close the bathroom door
- Mandy (8/5): Very good - Fantastic location
- Alwyn (8/5): Very good -
- Roger (6/5): Very basic accommodation but great location -
- Ern (5/5): Lovely location however the cabin that we had was old. - Location is great. On the bay. Lovely town. The cabin that we were in was old. There are newer ones that should be better. The old cabins need to be replaced. Concrete slab porch broken old and drab cabin.
- Kathryn (4/5): Disappointing -
- Angie (10/5): we were there for work , very appropriate for what we needed. -
- Lynn (6/5): Re value for money for cabin would not stay there again. - location to beach and shops The cabin was showing its age. Could do with an overhaul re stove, doors and tv. Positioning of tv wasn’t good.
- Cristina (10/5): The perfect getaway for families, couples or solo travelers. - The central location, the view from
our cabin !!!! Nothing
- Michael (10/5): - Our accommodation was very comfortable but sadly the kitchen range hood need a clean as all you could smell was fatty food. We did not cook during our stay.
The park and the beautiful walk way around the beach magnificent
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The cabin we stayed in was a little small but comfortable. The views to the sea/water were beautiful. The staff were friendly. It was a pity there were no bbq's close by in the park. The park was close to shops and restaurants.
