- Amit (8/5): - The staff here are incredibly friendly and make you feel genuinely welcome from the moment you arrive. Breakfast is a highlight—not just for the food, but for the warm hospitality. You’re truly taken care of. The hotel itself is charming, and the top attic room offers a stunning view that makes the stay even more special. The only downside is the lack of an elevator, which can be a bit challenging if you're carrying luggage. Still, the overall experience more than makes up for it.

Es ist jetzt nicht „modern“ (Speiseraum schon) aber absolut passend zur Location! Parkmöglichkeiten in der Nähe vorhanden. Wir würden uns wieder für diese Unterkunft entscheiden!

- john (6/5): - Hotel is in a beautiful old town and the room we were given faced the opposite way and looked at a concrete wall and street. I thought that I had booked a room with a small balcony and view of the castle, but I did not get that.
- Lynn Jayne (6/5): - We found it to be a nice hotel, which was conveniently located for exploring Cochem. It was clean and tidy but little dated in areas. Breakfast had plenty of choice. We parked on car park opposite which was free during the weekend, but we had to move it for week days but the hotel gave us a parking permit to use on the main river road. We were a party of 5 with 3 rooms, our friends in 2 separate rooms both had makeup taken from their rooms, this was the only solution we could come to as we searched the rooms thoroughly, even looking under beds and furniture. The makeup wasn’t particularly expensive but both were new items.

It’s about a 10 minute walk over a picturesque bride to the Main Street with restaurants and shopping. I would highly recommend booking your stay here!

Enjoyed the fact we were walking distance into town and would stay here again. No A/C and with global warming glad we were in the back of the hotel away from the afternoon sun. I loved my room with a view of the river and castle. The breakfast was delicious. The staff could not have been more helpful. It was also in a quiet location set back from the river but a five minute walk away.

- Matthew (8/5): - Nice location, not ideal parking options but I think that’s just the way it is everywhere in Cochem. It was quite hot when we were there, and the room we were in we could not keep a comfortable temperature. No mini fridge is also tough for travellers. However, everything else was excellent, very nice staff and a solid breakfast to start the day was great.
- taulina (10/5): Great stay! - Wonderful hotel in a picturesque area. We had a balcony room overlooking the castle and the view was incredible. Also surprisingly comfortable beds with comfy duvets. You can also buy bottles of wine from the region and beer at reception.

Hotel provides a parking pass for the next street down for the hotel. Breakfast was a nice typical German spread. Definitely recommend.

- Heidi (10/5): Beautiful, perfect hotel - This was a wonderful hotel. We were late coming in to town. We called and this was ok. They had a friend that lives nearby meet us and give us the key. He was very friendly and spoke English. The room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean. It has a blow dryer for hair and a fan for cooling. Great traditional German breakfast. It is so close to the bridge and town. You can walk everywhere. There is no doubt, I will come again.

The pillow and bed are a little soft to us but that’s ok. They have bar and designated area to drink and chat, breakfast was great. The parking is close to the hotel. And only 20min walk to the castle. Recommend to tourist!

- James (6/5): Paper Thin Walls spoiled our stay. - If it wasn’t for the paper thin walls, we would have been so happy staying here, our stay was ruined by LOUD people In The next room. The hotel is family run and they do their best to welcome guests, and their breakfast is top quality, but when you can hear a ding through the walls indicating message received on their computer, that’s what we had to deal with. The bed was comfortable, I loved their pillows, proximity to the main tourist place was good, the only problem was the acoustics and I just wanted to getaway in the end. I’m so sorry to say all this, because it’s family run business.

The hotel is older, not updated, but clean enough and comfortable enough for a one night stay. The breakfast was great. For a family stay we booked two rooms.

Friendly, helpful staff who spoke both German & English as well as made us feel welcome. They were kind and flexible with our needs/requests, like for ice for drinks in our room. Attractive and comfortable social area for both for evening drinks and morning breakfast. Offered many options for wine, beer available anytime and make a wonderful cappuccino! Easy to walk to local shops and restaurants. Very...very safe as I left my phone and wallet sitting out and both were turned in to staff. Will return again with other friends to share this wonderful experience. Thank you for offering visitors your services with a smile!!

- Michael (8/5): - I had a single room, with a small, but comfortable bed. The room was also and there was no elevator/lift, but it was fine for a solo traveler. The only issue was the shower and toilet. I could never quite get warm /hot water in my shower, and since the same pipes and source serves all the rooms, I‘d have ti wait to flush, until a while later.

- Satyam (4/5): Old and Smelly - The aparments are very old and smelly. It is not cleaned nicely at checkout of previous guests. There is a pungent smell everywhere.

- Gary (10/5): Late December stay - As advertised, this is a family run hotel. Family do everything to make you welcome. Breakfast was excellent. Only problem we encountered during our stay was lack of food etc. during the evening. Although the hotel has a bar as the hotel is on the opposite side of the river to the main town it was usually unoccupied. Our stay was between Christmas and the New Year so this may account for the quit evenings, maybe busier during the summer & festival times. We really enjoyed our stay & all staff were great.
