• Jennifer (7/5): Great stop for weary travelers. Simple, no frills. - It was in a GREAT location! The shower was confusing. Super tight parking, large cars will not fit. No hair dryer.

Just a short walk to most amenities. Plenty of open space nearby to enjoy the Scottish air. Very good for responding to messages and great detail. Very helpful. None to note.

• Victoria (5/5): Maximal für eine Nacht ertragbar - Der Mann der das betreut hat war sehr nett und bemüht, immer sofort zur Stelle. Alles ebenerdig mit kostenlosem Parkplatz vor der Türe. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer. In meinem Zimmer Nummer 7 war schimmel an der Decke, welchen er dann kurzfristig entfernen wollte, allerdings kann man dann nicht mehr darin schlafen, somit wurde es dabei belassen. Mein Boden neben der Heizung und unter dem Bett war verdreckt und verstaubt. In dem Zimmer Nummer 6 war die Matratze komplett durchgelegen, allerdings wurde diese sofort getauscht, als darauf hingewiesen wurde. Desweiteren ist alles sehr heruntergekommen, unrenoviert und überhaupt nicht mehr so wie es auf den Bildern dargestellt wird. Es ist alles wahnsinnig hellhörig, man hört alles von den nebenliegenden Zimmern incl Schritte beim Gehen und Schneuzen der Nachbarn.

• Michael (8/5): Fully met my requirements of a comfortable room close to the station and restaurants. - The room was comfortable and the location was excellent, opposite the station and a short walk from the lake. While the accommodation does not provide meals there are very good local restaurants.

My car is quite big and found it difficult to get in and out. So after the first night I parked on the street. Which was fine.

Room a bit small and we'd two single beds instead of a double but it was fine as it was just a base for us because we were out during the day and not back till late.

I know it’s not exactly the hosts fault and I’ve seen other reviews with the same experience but we were woken up at 3-4am by someone rattling doors, yelling and arguing. This went on for hours and kept us awake as the walls are quite thin and you can hear everything. Perhaps need a better check in system as we also had issues at the beginning of our stay.

• Sarah (8/5): I would definitely stay again! We had a lovely time. - The property had an excellent location and was right next to the station. The staff were very friendly and had a room ready for us to store our luggage as we arrived before check in. We had a small problem with the fridge but the staff fixed it as soon as we notified them.
• Samantha (7/5): Great location and clean, but noisy - We loved the location, parking was easy, and the instructions we were sent to access our room were very clear. The room was clean and we appreciated the hot drink making facilities. This is no way the accommodation's fault, and there are signs clearly stating that other guests should be quiet, but on the first night some guests arrived in the very early hours and woke us up. They were clearly having an issue trying to access their room and they were trying their door for hours, and talking loudly in the corridor, leaving us wide awake. We didn't want to confront them but this is just a warning to any other guests to make sure you're being respectful of others, especially in the middle of the night.

Didn't sleep well between the mattress and the amount of light coming from the window, the blinds could give more privacy since we were on the ground floor.

• Debra (10/5): Weekend break for an older couple. - The flat was lovely and warm when we arrived, it's a nice, bright room with a small kitchen, (no cooker) with a microwave, fridge and crockery. The bed was comfy. Walkin shower with a little step. There are 2 steps into the house. There is a bed settee which looks large and comfy. The location is great, right beside the train station (trains from Glasgow), and the bus stop is outside. There is a little convenience store across the road. And restaurant acroos the road called Tullie which is very friendly, helpful staff, and has reasonable prices. There is a short walk (10 mins) to Balloch Loch side with cafes and shops, after April I believe the river boats will stop there too. You may prefer to take your own towels. A hand rail near the toilet would make life a little easier.

Chloe was welcoming and helpful, including providing information on the local area. Secure. Linen was damp and did not appear to be clean. Sofa bed was beyond terrible - cold, hard and damp We could not get the apartment to warm up and were all freezing throughout the stay.

There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The room was cold. The hostess did put the heating back on for me and it was on until the early hours but then it went off again and was cold at 7 in the morning. We left about 9 and it was nice to get in the car and get warm.

• Camcamy (4/5): - Logement grand, propre, bien placé, permettant de se garer. Odeur de produit de ménage parfumé ULTRA FORTE, notre lit était humide et poisseux de produit, c'était ignoble. Nous n'avons pas reçu le code d'entrée avant d'arriver, et la sonette/webcam n'était pas pratique. Dommage de faire une cuisine mais de ne pas mettre de plaque de cuisson. Il n'y avait pas de couette pour la troisième personne avec le canapé convertible.

• James (8/5): We enjoyed our night here. - The room was perfect for an overnight stay. The staff was wonderful in accomodating our need to store medication in a fridge. It was a very peaceful area.

• Weronika (5/5): - The room was very dirty. The staff completely failed to prepare the room in time for check-in. The duvet was wet, and the floor was brown. The sink was clogged, and the water wouldn't drain, creating a lake in the sink. The shower was dirty. The staff was unhelpful. We were disappointed. The room was very uncozy, with dirt under the bed. The wet bedding was very unpleasant. The location was good, and parking was available.

• Glen (7/5): Wrll placed guesthouse - The Anchorage is well placed to explore the delights of Loch Lomond. The young lady who recieved us was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were well equipped for a nights stay. The beds were comfy and the floor so shiny that for a while I thought it was still wet. There are a couple of maintenance issues in our room which i have messaged the property directly but apart from that I'd be happy to recommend thus property.

• rafael (6/5): - buena ubicación y fácil aparcamiento gratuito el sofa cama es muy incomodo. Cocina incompleta: sin poder cocinar no tiene vitroceramica, microondas con mal funcionamiento, no bayeta, no papel de cocina. solo viene equipada con tostadora y hervidor de agua. el flujo del agua era muy leve y con poca presión. Faltaba toalla del baño.
