- Judith (10/5): Lovely old building. - Loved the whole place. One staff member tried to be really efficient but kept forgetting about us.

- BlackMirror (10/5): Felt like a week. - Very pleasant one night stay at Weston Hall. Nice to find a Hotel that retains traditional standards of service and quality. The hotel is very grand looking and sits in well maintained grounds (perhaps lawn mowing at 730 am could be rescheduled) with a large car park and very comfortable lounge ( leather comfy seating) and dining room. A good menu with a very reasonably priced set menu was enjoyed followed by drinks in the lounge all pleasantly served until well after 1100 pm. Large, clean bedroom with separate bathroom was very comfy and breakfast was served in another pleasant room. All in all a one night stay which was so relaxed that it felt like a week. Expect to be back for further adventures
- Peter (8/5): - Impressive building near to Stafford with good restaurent and very welcoming staff at a reasonable rate. Room af the top of the house up several flights if stairs.

- W7739AOstephenc (10/5): Birthday Celebration lunch - Attended today, 3rd for a family lunch. Very impressed with the venue, menu and certainly the four members of staff who each provided a very friendly, professional and effective service. Thank you.
- K9991PAlouiseb (10/5): Perfect - Came for Sunday lunch today...5 of us (and a baby bump) for my mums 80th birthday!
From the moment we walked through the door mum was treated like a queen! Nothing was too much trouble!
Food was absolutely amazing and stunningly presented!
The room was beautiful and so very relaxed!
Now to mention the staff didn't catch names but they were all outstanding and so very friendly! Made mum cry when they sang happy birthday!
Honestly cannot thank you all enough for a beautiful day.xxx
- John (8/5): Great place to stay can highly recommend - Beautiful quiet setting and magnificent building. Large well appointed bedrooms
- Gillian (7/5): Beautiful building and really comfortable bed. However the rooms are on the third floor with no lift. - Bed was super comfy
Staff were great Three flights of stairs to get to your room.
Check in is in the bar.

- catherine (10/5): - Really enjoyedcour stay at Weston Hall. The room was lovely and very well equipped with everything we could need. We had a delicious meal in the cellar restaurant inbthe evening. The continental breakfast was very pleasant and offered a very good of food. All the staff were very courteous and friendly.
- S4089EVjuliem (10/5): Our lovely mum's wake and celebratation of her life. - We chose to have our lovely mum's wake here as she had spent many happy occasions celebrating important milestones in her life at Weston Hall.
The setting was beautiful, the staff were efficient and welcoming and the buffet was delicious.
It made a sad day a little easier and very personal due to a meeting with the lovely Laura to gain an insight into our vision for the day.
As a family we were so impressed we have booked our joint special birthday celebration in August. ❤️

- Chris (9/5): Great place -
- Lorna (10/5): Easily accessible touch of luxury - Wonderful setting from location, gardens, building exterior, restaurant, bar and topped off with exceptional bedrooms.
The evening meal in the cellar was tasty, portion size spot on with beautiful flavour. Staircase to bedrooms, but to be expected in maintaining the buildings history. The addition of a spa would make this location outstanding
- Nicholas (9/5): The only problem was all rooms being on top floor. - Lovely traditional building Well kept. As before traditional & not been ruined by updating.
- jean (7/5): Ok - Warm and comfortable NO LIFT. a lot of stairs to bedrooms. Therefore not suitable for clients with limited mobility!!!
- Susana (10/5): - I loved my stay at Weston Hall - the rooms are so beautiful and gorgeously decorated and the location is perfect. I loved the special touch of coffee and tea in a basket with milk and gorgeous biscuits and had a fabulous dinner and gorgeous breakfast. Staff were so friendly and accommodating and I felt very welcome.
Also, they do fantastic afternoon teas - although I arrived to late to be able to enjoy one myself, I saw one laid out and it looked superb and was very popular. I loved everything about my stay at Weston Hall, I cannot fault anything.
- martin (9/5): excellent - good nothing
- BoardingPass283364 (4/5): Not great - Afternoon tea booked, ordered one normal and one savoury
We arrived on time and was shown to our table, waited at least 25 minutes to offered menu to choose drinks, once chosen waited another 20 minutes to be served tea and coffee, no milk for drinks, had to flag someone down to get milk and coffee was lukewarm.
After considerable wait we received our afternoon tea, there was already jam and cream on the table, we asked if it was for our scones or from previous booking, we were informed it was for us, concerning as it was obvious it had been previously used.
We were offered additional sandwiches part way through but not any more drinks, the lounge was getting quieter by this time, as ALL staff had disappeared to another area. There was a manager making cocktails for a photo shoot behind bar but he was obviously not interested in watching the room at the same time, after almost 45 minutes I had to go for a walk to ask if we could pay our bill.
Not the usual high standard we come to expect at Weston Hall, we can not blame the staff for the lack of attention, the Manager or supervisor on duty has no inclination to Manage the room or guide the staff.
It would be helpful if supervisors were more identifiable, not just a person not in uniform walking behind the bar occasionally.
Maybe it is the Manager and supervisors that require additional training

- Sam (10/5): - Amazing place full of character. No EV chargee
- Stokiefoodie (2/5): Gone downhill! - Gone downhill!! We’ve been to Weston hall for the past couple of mothers day’s and had a lovely experience every time. So naturally I booked for this Mother’s Day as soon as I could to avoid disappointment. Unfortunately this year we were so disappointed. They had changed the starter menu so we couldn’t have the normal prawn cocktail starter we have. It was a seafood starter so we opted for the chicken liver parfait. It was absolutely revolting, the texture and taste was awful. Sent back via the waitress. Main course was the roast beef which was full of fat. In previous years there were sides on the table to help yourself to, this year seems completely scaled back and tasteless. We were totally disappointed that the menu had changed for the worse and if I had known this I would have booked elsewhere for our Mother’s Day meal.
- Ann (9/5): A very good birthday experience. - The room had a real wow factor and was very clean. The drink hamper was one of the best we've seen with plenty of choice and the option to make more than one drink each, great for me as I like to start my day with a cup of tea! The shower was very good and the toiletries smelled great making showering a pleasure. Everything was good, a couple of minor points only: it was not overly clear where you were meant to check in and the toilet roll holder was in rather an awkward position particularly for a left handed person.
- Mr Iain R S (10/5): A perfect stay in the glorious countryside. - Appearance, style, location, facilities, staff. Nothing.
- Alzbeta (10/5): - Amazing setting, great staff, spacious room
- bromley130 (10/5): Brilliant - Always a lovely ambience friendly staff food excellent place is so relaxing beautiful inside and out plenty of choices
- Paul (8/5): good hotel wil helpful staff and a great big rooms - breakfast was a simple continental but the cooked breakfast was good desert in the restaurant was not very good but the rest of the meal was good
- Richard (9/5): -
- claire (5/5): amazing staff, paper thin walls - Staff were wonderful but the walls a paper thin and we could hear everything in the room next door when they were in the bathroom so were when every time they flushed a toilet or had a shower. Evening meal was lovely. sadly the noise from the bedroom next door did affect the stay
- tristram (8/5): excelent apart from the bathroom adjacent to my room at 5.15 am in the morning. - room was large and clean, dinner was excellent staff were friendly unfortunately the room next to our room , their bathroom was right next to my bed, so when they got up at 5.15 am in the morning i was able to hear everything in the bathroom, sound proof was absent. I chose to stay here as it was close to staffordshire show ground and have a goood night sleep until 5.15 am unfortunately. Everything else was great, but that was poor.

- E7481ADkatiel (10/5): Wedding - We held our wedding at Weston Hall on 16th February and had the most incredible day.
From the very beginning, the planning process was such an enjoyable experience. Laura and Olivia were so lovely in the lead up to the wedding, making sure every detail was taken care of and that everything ran smoothly. A special thank you as well to Rachel for helping us set everything up the day before, it made such a difference and really put our minds at ease.
On the day itself, everything went perfectly. We honestly can’t thank Ollie enough for running the day so wonderfully; he was incredible from start to finish and ensured everything flowed seamlessly. We felt completely relaxed knowing we were in such capable hands.
The wedding breakfast and evening food were amazing, with very generous portions that all of our guests thoroughly enjoyed. The service throughout was exceptional, and all of the lovely team on the day helped everything run so smoothly while making us and our guests feel extra special.
We would highly recommend Weston Hall to anyone looking for a truly special wedding experience.
- clarelouise1976 (2/5): Valentines disappointment - We visited Weston Hall this evening for their advertised Valentine’s romantic dinner, which we had chosen to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
Firstly, the menu advertised online was not the same as the one provided on arrival. This was particularly frustrating as the advertised menu was the main reason we chose to book Weston Hall for such a special occasion. There was no prior communication about the change, which felt misleading. As it was Valentine’s night and everywhere else was fully booked, we felt compelled to stay and order from the revised menu despite our disappointment.
Service was also very slow, with 30–40 minutes between courses, which made the evening drag rather than feel relaxed and enjoyable.
To make matters worse, it was 2 degrees outside and we were seated next to a single-pane window. The cold was unbearable — we had to keep our coats on throughout the meal, which completely ruined the romantic atmosphere we were expecting.
There was also a party taking place above us. At first, it sounded like constant stamping overhead, but it soon turned into a loud disco. The music was so loud that the window was vibrating and we could barely hear each other speak. For what was advertised as a romantic Valentine’s evening, this was completely inappropriate.
It’s a real shame, as we had organised babysitters and made special arrangements for the evening, but in the end we were so fed up that we left early and went home. Before leaving, I spoke to the manager to share my disappointment, and while he did apologise, it did not change the overall experience of the evening.
Overall, this was not the special anniversary experience we had hoped for, and sadly, we will not be returning
- nigelbX41QS (10/5): Great day was had by all - We held our wedding at Weston Hall on the 31st December 2025. We had a fantastic day with the help of the brilliant events team lead by Laura and helped by Ollie, Rachel and Olivia, who made the whole planning experience thoroughly enjoyable.
The day itself went perfectly, the wedding breakfast and the evening food was amazing and they were very generous portions enjoyed by all the guests. The service was exceptional and all the staff are first class and make the day special. We booked all eight rooms for our guests and all rooms are finished to a high standard, the only down side is that anyone with mobility issues would struggle as the rooms are on the top floor and there is no lift available. The day will be a talking point for some time to come. We would highly recommend to everyone.
- Jo (7/5): Would recommend on the whole - Great location, lovely room, good food and good value for money Room was really hot and dressing gowns were synthetic , shower wasn’t great
- James (6/5): A bit too quirky for me . Could be charming but I found it annoying - Parking . Aplenty Show me where to check in. It was dark. At least a sign to reception which was in fact ‘reception’
- Nikki (9/5): Beautiful place to stay! Friendly staff, great food and loved everything. - Beautiful building, historical and well maintained throughout. Staff were exceptional, food amazing, ambience perfect. A delightful atmosphere and ambience. Staff only to happy to accommodate and they were so friendly and happy in their work. Everywhere was spotless and a gorgeous suite. Nothing!
- sandra (9/5): Will be going again - It’s was lovely - bit difficult to find where to book in but otherwise excellent Nothing
- kevin (9/5): - Brilliant friendly staff. Lovely 4 poster room. Problem with heating...but sorted quickly.
- Phil (9/5): -
- Jodie (9/5): Next time going to stay longer totally love it here .high tea local produce attentive staff - Totally adore the character and charm loving restored to each part of this hall .
The lights on the way in on trees are such a graceful and grand scene
Beautifully executed There wasn’t anything I didn’t like other than troubling the night steward to let my partner with are late night pistachio and chocolate and fruits desert order in
From a local desert shop in Stafford it was smooth and all in order . The night steward actually gave us forks and napkins so thoughtful
- Lisa (10/5): - Excellent stay. The cellar restaurant also offers fantastic food. 10/10
Will return for a 3rd time in the near future :)
- Susan (8/5): All in all an excellent location for the Showground - Customer service 3 flights of steep stairs to our bedroom
- RYAN (8/5): -
- jane (9/5): Lovely stat - Lovely building , bedroom was cold and heating briken but the staff bought heaters and were really helpful
Food fantastic Matress could be better
- Chris (10/5): Absolutely wonderful time, would recommend it to anyone - Great location, fantastic staff wonderful food room first class can’t wait to go back Nothing
- Lindsay (2/5): Won’t stay here again… I needed to sleep! - Lovely building and grounds Rooms paper thin, so noisy. The toilets were macerating toilets, so loud.
Music playing below and in a marquee outside, vibrated the room until midnight. No sleep and the green emergency light in the room lit the whole room up.
- Annabel (9/5): perfect pre xmas spot for festive fun - in a lovely location too - Very festive, lovely staff, beautiful suites no spa but we knew that x
- michellebJ6794QY (10/5): Christmas Meal - Excellent service atmosphere and food. A well managed restaurant which is warm and inviting . Staff are lovely and there is always tasty food , well served
- Lambert (9/5): -
- sassyjem (6/5): Slightly disappointed - We attended recently for a family Xmas lunch, after eating at Weston Hall the previous year and enjoying the experience. Last year they sat our party in front of the large log fire. Whilst it gave a nice backdrop to the family photos, after only a few minutes it became quite uncomfortable for those sitting next to it. So when booking this year, we STRESSED that we please wanted a table away from the fire. They did not indicate this would be a problem. On arrival for this year’s lunch, we were shown to our table, which was the same one in front of the fire. I quickly pointed out that we had specifically asked not to be sat there, but was told there was nowhere else because of how busy they were. We of course had no choice but to take it. The food and service was excellent, but I was extremely disappointed that they had not taken the time to tell us before we arrived that they could not accommodate our request, and then there was not a hint of an apology for this issue. So sadly, because of this, it is unlikely we will return next year.

- Abigail (10/5): I really don’t want to go home, I’m lying in this stunning comfortable bed writing this, what your doing here is spot on - I loved as soon as I entered you had the warm cosy feeling, instantly felt relaxed. The building is simply
stunning with the quirky historic features. The interior of the hotel is gorgeous, the hotel was one of the best overall I’ve stayed in a long time! Huge mention to the staff too, everyone was wonderful, professional hospitality This is not because it can be helped as the age and character of the building, the shower and drainage of the sink in the room
- Emma (10/5): Highly recommend - Christmas stay with friends.
Weston hall looked amazing on the drive up and inside was just as spectacular inside.
Greeted by friendly staff.
Rooms are very spacious and clean with robes and a hamper pack with bottled water, t/c/s biscuits, iron and hair dryer.
If you get the chance book the Weston room which has a four poster bed.
We ate in the Cellar restaurant, you need to book as it’s very busy.
The food and service were amazing. my friend is gluten free and can only eat certain foods but the waitress explained the menu and very helpful/polite.
Would stay again. The pillows were fast to soft.
- michaeloA7769UQ (10/5): Second visit with friends for lunch - Second visit to Weston’s Hall for lunch with friends
Four roast Turkey dinners, potato soup and three Christmas puddings all served hot and on time and of excellent quality in a lovely setting
Service from Amy was excellent
Probably the best gluten free menus I have seen for a long time
- James Payne (10/5): Wonderful Stay - What a wonderful venue.
Great restaurant and bar area.
Friendly attentive staff.
Comfortable room and lovely grounds Nothing
- lisapX6853EG (8/5): Beware being cooked by the Fire! - Lovely Christmas Meal (albeit no christmas crackers included!) Pre ordered food. Service was prompt, good portion sizes. However to sit us in front of a roaring fire was ridiculous. It was too hot and uncomfortable. We had to keep asking for ice water. RSPCA wouldnt put animals in those conditions!. Spoilt the meal and ambience, plus bad head all evening from heat.
- Sandra (10/5): Don’t delay just book and stay - Beautiful period property. Amazing staff. The most comfortable hotel bed ever . The lounge area was beautifully presented and homely. Only 45 minutes drive from home. What more could you ask for. Food and drinks bill quite expensive but that will not prevent us from returning . Maybe we just drank too much wine!!
- Lorraine (7/5): overall good stay - Evening meal was nice , breakfast was lovely , staff very attentive, and happy Couldn’t sleep until music from wedding party had finished , then had people walking around the corridors on loud stairs and banging doors , fire alarm sound also went off at 10.30pm . Got woke up by a hoover at 7.30am would have liked a lie in
- 244stuart (10/5): Incredible Christmas meal - Fantastic location, incredible food and what really makes the difference in any restaurant, the staff were absolutely head and shoulders above what you would call good. The location is stunning and the atmosphere is almost overwhelming. We can't wait to try your festive afternoon tea. Thank you for a great afternoon.
- Dale Adams-Martin (10/5): - All great staff are friendly and make you feel welcome
- Philippa (10/5): fantastic friendly staff, excellent meal in cellar restaurant, lovely ambiance - beautiful property, perfectly located for our needs plumbing was noisy
- Claire (10/5): Cosy and Sumptuous Hotel, with very friendly staff - Gorgeous Property set in lovely grounds. All facilities were fantastic, overall the hotel has a great atmosphere, staff were very friendly, and our stay was luxurious and cosy. Just wish we had been there for longer Nothing
- Sandra (9/5): Overnight stop - Beautiful building, spacious room, restaurant and bsr welcoming and friendly staff. Food at dinner and breakfast good Some noise from function rooms slightly annoying. But did not finish too late.
- Heather (10/5): The staff were all exceptional. I stayed in the Weston suite. The four poster bed was extremely comfortable and the room - Such a beautiful building with masses of character.
- Elizabeth (9/5): -
- Susan (7/5): Mainly good - Staff were excellent as was the food The bed was very soft and gave no back support.
The plumbing was extremely noisy
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional and a perfect weekend stay! Staff were amazing - The staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly and just made the whole stay exceptional! Brilliant from start to finish Clean and great atmosphere
- sharon2010_01 (8/5): Great character hotel with friendly staff - Stunning hotel inside and out full of character. Check in was very good, very friendly lady who showed us to our room.
Had a meal in the restaurant the evening before which had a good selection of food and drinks. Food was excellent and very friendly staff.
There was a very nice bar lounge with an open fire which had a comprehensive cocktail menu.
Our room was very spacious and again full of character. Rooms are on the top floor and our room became quite stuffy in the middle of the night, the mattress was very soft which isn’t our preference, there was a green alarm light right over the bed and some kind of noisy pump which kept us awake throughout the night.
Breakfast was very good with a good selection for the continental breakfast and we also opted for a cooked breakfast for an additional charge.
On a whole the service, food and surroundings were excellent but unfortunately didn’t get a good night’s sleep which was a shame.
- anthonyrJ5477AQ (2/5): Very poor - Booked savoury afternoon tea for two cost close to £60. No pork crackling, no mustard, no soft bap as advertised. Substitute frozen mini baguettes rock hard and cold in edible. Replacement finger sandwich minute filling and tasteless. Requested sweet scones when booked not savoury when booked in advance. Savoury scones arrived with a pot of Jam and cream. Had to request butter which was not included for crackers or scones. Pork pie was thin sliver soggy and fatty. Insisted on booking in advance so no excuse. Will not book again, this the third very poor meal at this restaurant recently for the money don’t expect this quality of food from this venue.
- Samanthaedwards3939 (10/5): WEDDING WOW 🥂 - Weston Hall is totally Amazing......
From the moment we saw Weston Hall and booked the Wedding with Lucy, to the Actual day of the wedding it was seamless perfection...
On the day Ollie and Becky were totally Wedding Angels everything was organised and ran smoothly without Drama.
The food was the best food ever and several guest said it was the best food they had at a wedding.
The hotel rooms were immaculate and beautifully designed and had the wow factor when you walked in.
I can not express how fantastic this place is and if you are looking for a venue for your wedding. Stop looking because this place will not be beaten for the most beautiful and magical and well organised venue at a realistic price.
Thank you Weston Hall for the best day of my daughters life xx
- Sarah (8/5): Stunning place - Building, grounds and rooms were beautiful. Staff went above and beyond with customer care. Food at breakfast and dinner was fantastic. Drinks were reasonable prices. Green emergency light in room kept us awake as did the macerator in the Neighbours room.
- Debbie (10/5): -
- Rachael (9/5): -
- MARK (10/5): - Excellent place to stay would recommend anyone to stay there without
The photos don’t do it justice it’s a beautiful hall
I couldn’t fault anything at all
- Angela (7/5): - Beautiful venue and rooms The bedroom was cold
- Quest23988141776 (4/5): My young son (20) and his similar aged partner stayed last night for a 2 year anniversary. They were treated very badly - My young son and partner were treated very badly and differently to the rest of the guests at dinner they were ignored constantly when trying to order drinks and condiments, where the other guests were being treated with more respect, like being asked if they wanted wine etc.
Similarly at breakfast a young gentleman ignored my son and his partner when asking for food. When happily serving everyone else. To the point they checked out and felt they had to wait outside in the cold for me to pick them up as they felt humiliated and felt they could not wait inside.
The green emergency light in the room also was over powering and one guest had to sleep with a towel over their head
- Rebecca (6/5): It was okay - The staff was very lovely. The room was cold and had ladybugs inside of the room. Which the staff did resolve with heaters.
- Lesley (9/5): Practically Perfect - Mostly everything Climbing stairs to your room
- philip (8/5): -
- Freddie (10/5): Absolutely beautiful hotel! - Absolutely beautiful hotel! The building, the room, the restaurant- all stunning! The most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. We'd love to stay again. The only one thing to mention, is that we weren't told how to get back in to the property if we went out after a certain time. We went out for a smoke at 9pm and then couldn't get back in! We were outside in the rain knocking on the restaurant windows (it had closed by then, as it was a Sunday). Luckily a staff member finally heard us. Only a minor issue- but make sure you ask how to get back in if you're going out late :)
- Lisam100670 (6/5): A terrible Sunday roast - We arranged for a birthday Sunday roast, was served a plate full of gristle, buttery veg and no pigs in blankets even though we asked for 1 dairy free meal and wanted two extra pigs in blankets.
Although the waitress gave a feeble sorry that was it. So a special lunch was spoiled by lack of attention to detail.
No real apology and no discount or free drink given
Absolutely appalling service
