Sehr ruhig gelegen Leider konnte ich die in Booking.com angegebene Möglichkeit zu frühstücken nicht wahrnehmen, da um 8 Uhr niemand da war und auch alles zugesperrt war. Schade, hätte das Frühstück gerne probiert, da auch am Sonntag in der näheren Umgebung nichts offen hat.

Brian (10/5): Exceptional - A wonderful small family hotel and restaurant. We traveled with 3 small children and found the family to very welcoming to us. There was a nice playground and the owners took time to give us a tour with all the animals. I will certainly look to book again.

The breakfast was also good. The fridge in the room did not work, and the dishes were not completely clean. There is no swimming pool for the kids to swim in; the picture is misleading.

Susanna (10/5): Perfect location for a quiet family break / holiday with friends - We had a wonderful time at Schnatterhof. The apartment was perfect for us, with a sleeping area upstairs for the kids and separate bedroom upstairs for the adults. The kitchen had everything we needed and the large, well lit common room was great for playing games/chatting. We travelled with two other families over the New Year and found the common room (with additional cooking facilities) to be ideal for our group as it meant we could all eat together and spend time indoors together. There is an artificial 'Eisstockbahn' that can also be used in warmer temperatures - we had great fun learning this game. Other highlights were the fire drum/tripod that can be arranged and of course the animals: the three farm cats, the dog, llamas, goats, ducks & geese. Our host, Mrs Doblhamer was very welcoming and friendly and is also a fantastic cook! - if you get the chance, you should definitely try her traditional roast pork (Schweinsbraten) and the home-reared roast meadow goose (Gänsebraten vom Weidegans) The breakfast is also really good. The location was exactly what we were looking for - rural and quiet with plenty of opportunities for countryside walks, but only a 20- 25 min drive to the nearby towns of Ried and Schärding. We will definitely be staying at Schnatterhof again in the future! :-) -

The place is a bit less.. - The area is amazing to have a trip around Very small for a group/family There is no balcony in the room, only a share balcony with more 3 rooms (even that it written that there is a balcony in the room..) The kitchen is very lacking in equipment for making any meal. The 2 showers are in the bathroom together with the 2 toilets- there is no privacy. Very expensive for what you get.
malcolm (10/5): Children’s country paradise. - It suited me perfectly. Very Quiet and in a beautiful country area. Breakfast was nice. Loved all the animals Llamas, goats, geese, chickens, kittens and a lovely golden Labrador. This would be paradise for a young family.
James (10/5): - Nestled in the picturesque Austrian countryside, an hour’s drive from the German border city of Passau, this oasis of comfort and relaxation has no equal. The property is comprised of multiple environments, each with its own charm awaiting your discovery. The tree-shaded courtyard, through which you enter to reach the reception desk, serves as an outdoor gathering place complete with tables and a small bar. Scattered about are numerous niches where children can play. There is a long wooden slide, toys of various kinds, and, without too much prompting, one of the kittens who call this place their home will nuzzle up to you if you are open to their entreaties. The reception area is beautifully appointed with tables and furnishings allowing another place to enjoy a drinks or a meal ordered from the extensive menu. Here too are toys for children. This is clearly a safe, family location. The rooms are excellently designed for contort, function, and comfort. The beds assure a restful night’s sleep. As part of a working farm, across the road you will enjoy a walk to see the geese, ducks, chickens, goats, and llamas. Though they are not supposed to, a kitten may follow you. This review merely touches on but a few of the delightful features this escape from the ordinary provides. For families, for couples, for singles, for everyone.

Ioana (10/5): Idyllic, rural hotel - The staff of this family run hotel were incredibly helpful and as we had some problems on our trip, they went out of their way to assist us. The rooms are very spacious, with bright, cheerful decor. We only had one breakfast but it was big and very tasty, including some delicious home made jams. It’s a lovely countryside setting, which we had the opportunity to cycle through using the hotels e-bikes. We highly recommend this place and hope to come back soon.
