• Wander48757928721 (2/5): Avoid Yash Residency Hotel - Terrible Experience at Yash Residency – Not Worth Booking... I booked Yash Residency near Assi Ghat, Varanasi, solely because of the MakeMyTrip "Value Stays tag", expecting a decent and hassle-free stay. However, my experience was nothing short of a nightmare from the moment I arrived. 1. Unhygienic and Poorly Maintained Rooms ✔️ The room was extremely dirty – dusty bedsheets, unclean floors. ✔️ The bedspread was visibly stained... ✔️ The bathroom was not cleaned properly, making it very uncomfortable to use. 2. No Basic Amenities ✔️ No dental kit was provided, despite being a basic offering in most hotels. ✔️ They charged premium rates but failed to deliver even standard services. 3. Misleading MakeMyTrip Ratings & Poor Customer Support ✔️ The only reason I booked this hotel was the MakeMyTrip "Value Stays tag", which turned out to be misleading. ✔️ After going through multiple complaints on Phone call, MMT only offered a 20% refund, which is unfair given the experience. (Attach images of the dirty room, unclean bedsheets, and other issues you faced.) Finally.. : DO NOT book this hotel unless you want a terrible stay. MMT must stop tagging such hotels as "Value Stays" without proper inspection. • Compass62334524220 (2/5): Experience with the hotel. - Poor hotel and not at all stay worthy. Managers, staff are also bad and rude. I would request to avoid this hotel anyway. The managers didn't allow us to stay ( for ladies) in the reception sofa even few minutes. We have to stand outside hotel even the lounge was vacant. People should avoid such hotel which do not know to extend coutsey to women!

• Swati (2/5): - We booked the property for 3 nights for Dev Deepawali, a senior citizen was also accompanying us. First of all, the road to hotel is through pile of garbage. There is no food facility, you have to order from Zomato. The worst, they will not give you any plate, saucer or spoon to have your food as there are no utensils. For a triple sharing room, they will only give you one towel and two standard pillows, there is no extra pillow and no extra bedsheet for the third bed. On the check-out day, exactly at 11.00 a.m., the hotel owner along with the four staff will bang your door and threaten (may literally) throw your bags out of your room. This is irrespective of the fact that you have prior informed them of 10-15 minutes delay. The whole experience of Varanasi will get washed away with Maa Ganga. Your rating of 8.6 for this hotel is highly misleading and I will never suggest you to stay at this place unless you are prepared for some good physical fight. Highly disappointed and I may not use your platform again for any booking.

We did Varanasi sightseeing too. This hotel looked quite newer building and welcoming with well trained staffs,rooms was very beautiful and good decorated almost in front. Thank you!

The most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, the first impression of the hotel was lovely and luxurious. Everything about the hotel was quite perfect. clean, stylish, spacious and with excellent service. The complimentary breakfast was good and value for money and the service was attentive and efficient. The room itself was well furnished and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to return for a longer visit in the future.

• 920ajayap (2/5): Tourist trap alert - Tourist trap alert : Don't book this so called hotel : it is actually not a hotel but a makeshift one with a few rooms kept aside for rental with the callous owner running his legal office in the same premises . There are no trained staff to take care of guests with one inept and very sad looking individual kept for errands . They insist on collecting the full due amount after a booking at the time of checking in with no option for cancellation once you see the place. They probably know that no one will come back here for a 2nd visit . Reasons : 1) Location deep inside a myriad of narrow alleys. Parking is a nightmare . You have to carry your bags up to the door and then up the stairs as there is no elevator. 2) Free breakfast scam : there is no place set aside for this. A minimal breakfast is supposedly sent to the room purposely after 9 am by some 3rd party which is not practical for anyone visiting temples in morning hours or checking out early . 3) Poor amenities: they skimp on basic items like a towel , soap and do not provide enough items even after requesting . The rooms , bathrooms are sub standard , unsafe with wet floors and inconvenient . 4) No provision of heating during the cold winter even in the so called deluxe rooms which were sold saying they had AC. Overall This place is a definite NO NO. No stars Absolutely zero star

I would like to say that whenever you are in Varanasi, come and stay here, it is near Durgakund Temple and is a very good hotel.

No linen were provided they gave us were stinky and had smoke smell

I was feeling like cheated when saw the hotel. Road to hotel is too cramped. And name descriptions like Assi Ghat is misguiding. I paid around $35 for the first night and paid another INR 1960 ($24 approximately)for next night .

On Agoda check in time is 12 pm but at hotel its shows 1pm. Very low area and not at all recommended to anyone especially with family. They don't provide you towels or toiletries. Worst experience.

• CynthiaMajhi (2/5): Terrible. - Location: The hotel is situated in such interiors of Varanasi that our cab couldn't get in. The place isn't that safe either. We were two females who had to keep in mind the time in case we had to visit the ghats for the morning aarti. Room: The standard rooms are awful. I have attached pictures of the room they allotted us. Despite of complaining they weren't ready to change the rooms. Water was dripping from the ceiling, the floors had rust marks all over, the sheets had blood strains in them, the AC wasn't working, and neither were there any ventilators. We were clueless as to how we would spend 8 days in that mess. We had to checkout before the said dates as the owner started abusing when asked for a different room. Because we had booked the hotel through Agoda, they didn't even refund our money. Service: The staff walks by the rules of the upper management. They don't have the etiquette of talk to customers, the service is highly delayed. We have to wait for 30-45 mins just to get bottles of water.

Well hygienic staff are ok and supportive to guest. rooms are comfortable but standard room size is not sufficient space for couples. Location is very odd and it is hard to get there. distance is so far from ghat and hardly get the rickshaw and auto. water leakage sound disturbing whole night. no breakfast offer after check in. ask for 1000 Rs extra for room heater.
• rajeevkumars2023 (2/5): Fraud HotelYash Residency and Fraud Agoda - I was not allowed by hotel Yash Residency Manager Asish at Varanasi on 25th Dec 2022 to lodgin even having confirmed booking of Agoda and showing advance payment receipt from AGODA . How can I get my advance payment refunded as I did not stay there . It seems AGODA with Yash Hotel involved in some fraudulent activities . Due to this I with my wife had to suffer a lot searching Hotels here and there and paying hefty rents on a chilli winter morning. Extremly dissappointed from AGODA AND HOTEL YASH .
• Shubham991199 (10/5): Best stay in Varanasi - Very well hygienic hotel in this COVID-19🦠😷 situation, staffs are well mannered and supportive to the guests. Love our stay and will stay here next time also.... And also they provide us the auto rickshaw to visit the local temples.
• Taisha108 (4/5): Weird staff, no wifi - Rooms are comfortable, not too big but mostly clean, manager was nice and helpful. But he was rarely there. Location is very hard to find, Tuktuk drivers do not know the address. It is hard to get there. Service is poor, hotel staff is very weird and asking for tip very aggressively. Their English is very bad. Communication is challenging. Tv and wifi did not work. In one of the rooms there were no hot water, they could not fix it. When asking something at reception there was an aggressive and unfriendly reaction from somebody who we did not know. Manager apologized. Breakfast is served from 9.30am to room, food is not good. Nice goodbye with small gift from manager at check out.
• PrashantB955 (2/5): Bad experience with Yash residency Varanasi - We booked this hotel through cleartrip and reported our experience to cleartrip team. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Pls beware of these points: 1) Hotel is inside of narrow lane and difficult to reach via four wheeler. Location is far from Kashi Vishwanafh temple. 2) no lift in the hotel and it was not mentioned anywhere in cleartrip. Even though we requested for 1st floor because of senior citizens but hotel denied as it was full which I doubt. 3) very small room and decor/interiors and furniture are of cheap quality 4) Geyser was not working properly and we have complained multiple times. One can imagine in winter it was difficult 5) bathroom has open vent and bathroom door has open portion through which cold waves was coming. After reporting and complaining they have offered additional room without attach bathroom. 6) best part no mirror in the room Overall it was extremely bad experience and also with cleartrip.
