- GREGORY (6/5): - The property had rain damage, we had roaches in our room , I think that indoor activities should’ve opened earlier due to the rain so that we would’ve had more to do , the casino opened up almost an hour late and you can’t cash your chips in when they open you have to wait until 730pm when the tables open not when the casino opens. They went a day without cleaning our room at all. The facility was ok, our electrical outlets didn’t work properly none of them. We had to set up things a certain way or move the plug around so that our things can charge. Other than that the staff was good the food was ok and the activities around the facility were good ( when they opened)

Resort is HUGE. No swim up bar here. Not sure how we missed that. While we may come back to Punta Cana…it will not be this resort.

If you didn’t have a reservation for a restaurant they would not allow you to eat. When towels were requested they never arrived and I was required to get them myself. The food was mediocre at best and I felt as though I wasted a lot of money coming to this resort. Not to mention we have items missing from our room after the room was cleaned. Overall I would not recommend this property.

- Juliana (4/5): - if I could go back, I wouldn’t choose it again. Don’t get me wrong, the place itself is beautiful. The architecture, the design, and the overall look are stunning — they did a great job with that. But if you’re someone like me who looks for a complete experience, this isn’t the right place. Customer service is hit or miss — some people are kind, others not so much. The crowd is also very mixed. It’s not really an adults-only resort, but it’s not fully family-friendly either. While there are activities for kids, there are also some that are quite inappropriate. For example, the “Perfect Couple” show at night included moments that I would never want my children to see. So, the hotel seems unsure if it wants to cater to families or adults. My room experience was disappointing. When I arrived, the room was dirty. I had to ask for a change, but the new room they offered was in a bad location. I ended up paying for an upgrade just to have a decent stay. The food and drinks were the biggest letdown. My husband got sick the first night, and the drinks were awful. If you don’t pay for the unique wristband, they serve you the lowest quality liquor. I can’t say the hotel is completely bad, but I also can’t say it’s good. Based on the review that made me come here, my reality was far from that. If I can save at least one person from coming here, I will — because overall, it was a very expensive mediocre experience, with terrible food and drinks.

- Asya (10/5): - My family and I absolutely loved this resort!! The rooms were clean and spacious. They stayed pretty cool and felt nice coming in from outside. Theres plenty of dining options. My favorite was the italian and asian restaurant. Staff was very friendly. The only thing is theres a bit of a language barrier with some staff (most were bilingual). The beach was beautiful and hardly any seaweed where we were at. Beware of the men selling things on the beach-we ran into one who was trying to convince us to do exersions, however he didnt work for the resort and we were warned about it by staff. Another man was trying to sell us hats made of plants. They will target you if youre American lol. Also, if youre a cat lover like me, youll love all the kitties on the resort! They like to hide in the bushes and come out more at night. Overall, a beautiful resort with tons to do! Definitely recommend!

Something I didn't like it was that you have to paid the bowling, it is not included and the price it was ridiculous ,also the description of the view of the room it was not accurate, it was awful . There are a lot of cats in the property and they look how if no one feed them , it was so sad to see that. In general the hotel it not bad but is not a 5 star hotel and the price is too expensive for what they offer.

- Sandra (4/5): - My family and I were seeking a 4-star or higher all-inclusive resort for our vacation. Having visited Cancun several times, we expected a comparable level of customer service and hospitality. Unfortunately, our experience at Hotel Lopesan in the Dominican Republic fell significantly short of these expectations. While the resort boasts beautiful infrastructure and impressive facilities, the level of service was deeply disappointing. The staff was consistently rude and unwelcoming throughout our stay. My mother, originally from Colombia and a resident of the United States for over 25 years, was particularly disheartened by the lack of warmth and professionalism. It was evident that the hotel is understaffed and that employees lack proper training on how to treat guests at a property that claims to be a 4.9-star all-inclusive resort. This was our first visit to the Dominican Republic, and it is regrettable that this experience left us with such a negative impression. Sadly, we do not wish to return.
- Shonedra (6/5): - My room was great. The refrigerator did not work so I didn’t take advantage of the beverages. My friends had issues with their rooms. In one of the rooms it smelled like mildew and in the other the door was broken so they were not able to lock their door the whole trip.

I couldn't understand why there were children on the all adult side. The food was never at the temperature you requested. All steak was rare or medium rare I had to tell them burn it well done in order for it to be medium well. None of the meats, chicken, pork all were not fully cooked and maybe some like that,

Suppose to have been on the adult only side and there were kids, I guess they over booked themselves. Rooms not cleaned daily. Customer service not as expected for the price point of this hotel. Their staff uses no English and doesn’t even try. Been sick on the toilet for 2 days not sure what’s in the food. Food restaurants doesn’t feel like service you feel like your being a burden on staff. Half my tv was blacked out even after coming to change it out. Bathrooms around resort were disgusting tp say the least!!!! I would recommend this place!!!! Over price and not worth the money!!!

It took every ounce of patience in my soul to refrain from a physical response. Lastly, the room reeked of mold. Much potential at this hotel. Not to mention the only late night food spot is the restaurant called the valley . Freezer food would be better. As far as the resort- Be prepared to walk everywhere - it’s Huge and spaced out. - Kevin (4/5): Resort Stay Review - Extremely Disappointed - Resort Stay Review – Extremely Disappointed Over the past twenty years, I’ve stayed at more than 30 resorts, so I have a good sense of what to expect. While this resort was scenic and the rooms were visually appealing, several serious issues during my stay ensure that I will never return. 1. Booking Issues & Poor Customer Service I originally booked a stay from June 17 to June 22 directly through the Lopesan website. My wife and I double-checked all the details before finalizing, knowing it was a nonrefundable booking. However, when I received the email confirmation about 10 minutes later, it listed the wrong dates — in October, which would be impossible for us to travel. I immediately attempted to call their customer service but could not get through. The next day, I reached a representative who promised to escalate the issue. Two days later, I was told there would be no refund and that I could only correct the dates if I paid an additional $700, despite clearly inputting the correct information initially. The representative made it sound like the mistake was mine. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was conveniently disconnected twice. We ultimately rebooked via Hotels.com so we could still attend a friend’s birthday. I have attached the receipt from Hotels.com showing the correct dates. The food at the buffet is ok…there are plenty options including vegan…we made reservation at the steakhouse. It was good. The room was beautiful. We had the swim up suite. The staff was wonderful and hospitable. There is a language barrier so download google translate.

- Susanne (8/5): - The Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort is beautiful, especially at night with all of the lighting and water features. It’s also nicely laid out and affords various types of pools, bars, and restaurants to accommodate families, couples, and friends. Staff were friendly and attentive for the most part, though it could be challenging to get drinks while at the pool or beach from servers who seemed overworked as they took numerous orders at one time, which meant 30+ wait times for drinks. Lots of seating at the beach and by the pools was a plus. Check-in for adults only took quite a while and was a bit intense and unclear. We brought our 18 year old daughter with us for a graduation gift and the opportunity to enjoy adults only fun, but were met with a lot of questioning about her age. We booked adults only and learned that unfortunately that meant we would be in the furthest corner of the resort and at a distance from most of the entertainment since it seems the resort has more options for families than adults only. Apparently we could have upgraded to the unique option too with a closer room, better towels and beach bar access, but no one even mentioned this during check-in. Overall good stay for a first time at an all inclusive resort.

We came to find out only in our check in that most of the restaurants, with exception of the buffet, needed a reservation, but in order to make a reservation you need to be checked in. Well, majority of the restaurants didn’t have availability for the same night and others not until 4 days in advance. The resort didn’t seem to be full, I had a hard time understanding the reservations policy with so many restaurants…

- Ralph (4/5): - The property was advertised as adults only. I read a paragraph that said children 18 and younger were not allowed on the property. There were children all over. My friends and I would not have booked this property if we knew that children were allowed. The buffet was horrible. Food was undercooked and cold most times. Specialty restaurants were good. We left the property twice for breakfast. The wait staff were attentive and polite, but my room wasn't cleaned for the first 2 days of my stay. I had to stop a woman in the hallway and ask her to clean my room. My refrigerator wasn't working and my TV wouldn't shut off. They replaced my refrigerator and TV remote the next day. I didn't get my upgrade as a gold customer. Someone called and apologized, and said they didn't have any upgrades available. They gave me a fruit plate and a bottle of champagne for the inconvenience, but I don't drink alcohol. The overall property was nice but we won't be staying there anymore.

- Norman (10/5): - Great property. So much to do. Friendly staff. Delicious food in restaurants with reservations. However, the food at the Atlantico buffet is NOT pleasant.

Kids were screaming in the swim-out pools and cribs were left in hallways, definitely not the relaxing adults-only environment I paid for. When I asked to move, I was told I’d be downgraded to the family section with no refund. On top of that, staff repeatedly harassed us to leave Google reviews, and one even grabbed my phone to offer to write it themselves. Very disappointing and unprofessional overall.
