- Yuritzi (10/5): - Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. Staff very welcoming and many times we saw how much they care about giving very good service and having good facilities. They were all very hard working and friendly. The layout is very practical, well thought out and easy to follow after one day and everything is within a five minute walk. Everything is accessible for people with disabilities, walking is flat or with elevators and there is shade within 10 feet of you everywhere. The room was more than spacious enough with a large walk-in shower, very good water pressure and detachable wand and ceiling shower head as well as comfortable bed, couch and chairs, private balcony and well insulated for keeping sound out. There is a little smell when you walk into the room that disappears after a few minutes but that is probably true in all rooms along caribbean beaches. My husband works in mold remediation and did not find any concern for mold growth anywhere. There is a party atmosphere but no one was disrespectful and we never saw anyone acting intoxicated. The layout allows you be at party/games area at the beach and pool, which only happens during a couple of hours in the afternoon, or be at other end at the quieter pools, water park or The Boulevard. There were some food options that were very excellent and some that were just okay. Theatre shows okay but lighting and sound uncomfortable. Ice breaker fun. We walked 3 miles of beach and Lopesan had the nicest portion.

- Marian (4/5): - This was our second and last vacation at Lopesan. For families traveling with kids, there are plenty of activities to keep them entertained. The hotel and the property are beautiful, and the infrastructure is amazing — but that’s where the positives end. The beach is full of seaweed and looks like it’s not being cleaned at all. The music at the pool area is too loud, and there are many boats on the beach playing the same loud music. There’s no quiet place to relax. The pool towels were dirty and smelly. It seems like they don’t wash them properly — just dry and fold them. The food is below average, with the same limited selection at the buffets every day. The restaurants are just okay. The service is the worst we’ve ever experienced. There are no waiters on the beach or at the pool area — you might see one once a day. The staff is very difficult to communicate with and barely speak any English. We had to speak to at least four people before we could get our morning coffee. The biggest disappointment was the cleaning service. It seems like they only make the bed and change the towels. The floor wasn’t mopped for three days, there was small trash everywhere, and hair remained on the surfaces. I had to ask the cleaning lady personally to mop the floor - she still didn’t do it. Then I left a note in Spanish and they finally clean it. I should mention that we tipped them well every day. We wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you don’t want to be disappointed on your vacation.

We found ourselves eating the same food every day, and unfortunately, it was consistently cold. The drinks were also watered down, which added to our frustration. For a resort of this caliber, we expected better variety and quality in the food and beverage offerings. That said, the resort itself is stunning and has great potential. With improvements to the dining experience, it could truly be a five-star destination.

I HIGHLY recommend this all inclusive resort. We celebrated our son 2nd birthday and we had a blast. Kids area outstanding Amazing food, amazing entertainment, amazing everything. - wincy (10/5): - GREAT solo trip! 3 days was not enough time for me to truly enjoy the resort. They had sooo much to offer. I wasn’t able to try every restaurant on the resort but the food in every place i did try was 10/10 ‼️ the only con was the wait time for the food at the specialty restaurants. It was really good but takes forever to come out. My shower started to flood my room but maintenance and housekeeping came about 30 minutes later to rectify the situation. You need a full day to explore the resort to be honest so that you don’t rob yourself of the entire experience they have to offer. The SPA IS AN EASY 1000/10 ‼️the service was AMAZINGGGGGG !!! The beach was clean, the pools were out of this world. The adult only areas were peaceful. The rooms were super clean and restocked daily. It has separate sections that are adults only but over all has everything you need to have fun. Bars, pools, night clubs, water park, fancy restaurants and buffets, unlimited eating and drinking. The food is good for the most part. Buffets food are somehow better than the restaurants for the most part. Will definitely come again!!!

They made us loose 3 more hours talking to different people to get a refund, all are useless, disputing the transaction now and not coming back to this hotel ever again!!!

- Sheily (8/5): - Overall great stay but rooms have a moisture/humidity issue. Had to be moved to another room. Rooms service is spotty and sometimes didn’t show up or wrong items were delivered. Beautiful property and fun pool. Beach is not nice so if that’s what you’re looking for go elsewhere. Also bring enough cash for tips. The ATM is horrible and doesn’t have a correct exchange rate. The wait staff is amazing 10/10! Needed my safe unlocked so I could use it and they never showed up in 4 days. A lot of food selections, although not all great. Great atmosphere specially at night and so many places to lounge. The night club and the theatre are 10/10! They put on a great show! We loved the Michael Jackson show. Also the kids enjoyed bowling (not included) and the teen club and water park were a lot of fun. My daughter loved the monkey excursion and we rented a private boat tour for 20 people and that was amazing! Estefani (Agua Viva) at the pool was the best and Hansen as well! They made our stay so much more enjoyable. The kids in our group ages 7-16 had a blast. Honestly not sure I would go back due to rooms and beach.

- Kevin (2/5): - I stayed at Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa & Casino and honestly, I would not recommend it. The customer service was terrible from start to finish. Check-in: We waited over 45 minutes just to check in and still didn’t get a room right away. Staff insisted on holding our luggage and made us wait until our entire party arrived so a bellboy could walk us to the rooms — completely unnecessary and a huge waste of time after traveling. The staff overall felt more focused on tips than providing actual service. Rooms: The rooms were underwhelming for the price. No jacuzzi, cheap setup, and awkwardly designed bathrooms that aren’t fully sealed — uncomfortable when sharing with others. Most outlets in both the room and even the lobby were so loose they barely worked; I literally had to use a pillow to keep my charger in place. Definitely not “luxury.” Restaurants: We had a party of 12, and of course with a large group, sometimes you’re a few minutes late. At several restaurants, we arrived just 10 minutes late to reservations. The restaurants were practically empty, yet staff still refused to seat us. Instead, they made us wait until they served other guests — even though the place stayed empty. It felt like they went out of their way to be unhelpful. The food and drinks themselves were mediocre at best, with service painfully slow. Checkout: The final insult was at checkout. They required us to return beach towels in exchange for towel cards before we could leave
