- Beatrix (9/5): - The room and the decoration of the place is so unique and pretty. The staff were nice, they helped me to book a taxi to KL when Grab didn't want to take us. The drainage in the shower wasn't working properly so there was some water that stayed on the ground for quite a long time.

- Inge (10/5): Prachtig groot Chinees oud Herenhuis. - Het is een prachtig oud gebouw, heel ruim en vol met Chinees antiek. De staff is heel aardig en behulpzaam. Het is zeer centraal gelegen, maar in een rustige straatcen toch in hartje centrum. 3 Minuten lopen van de drukke "Jonker" straat. Ik had een zeer grote lichte kamer, uitkijkend op een overdekte binnenplaats. Helemaal niets.

- anja (6/5): - Das Haus hat eine sehr gute Lage, Kolonialstil. Mit dem Fahrrad die kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt wurden ist man ruckzuck überall. Zimmer sind sauber, Bad auch, leider hatten wir bei der Buchung nicht beachtet, dass das Zimmer kein Fenster hatte. Frühstück dabei, 3 Varianten zur Auswahl, passt alles. Leider wirklich sehr in die Jahre gekommen, es wurde parallel renvoviert, was ja gut ist - aber: Staub und Baulärm, hat uns aber nicht wirklich gestört. Was aber wirklich nicht gut war: Wir hatten 1 Nacht gebucht und wollten verlängern. Durch einen Tippfehler bin ich mit dem Datum durcheinander gekommen und habe aus Versehen eine Woche später gebucht. Das konnte der Besitzer bzw. der Mensch an der Theke nicht ändern - ich habe dann sofort (also 10 Min. später) nochmal gebucht und das richtige Datum angegeben und vor Ort und persönlich gebeten die zweite Buchung, die ja ein Fehler/Tippfehler war zu stornieren. M.E, ist das Ermessenssache und hätte Problemlos von statten gehen können. Wurde nicht gemacht - auch nachdem ich nochmals zwei E-Mails mit der gleichen Bitte geschrieben habe - keine Reaktion-keine Änderung. Faktisch waren wir da längst an einem anderen Ort. Also haben wir 3 Nächte bezahlt, obwohl wir nur 2 da waren. Keine Kulanz, keine Kommunikation. Ja, war mein Fehler - dennoch habe ich sowas sonst noch nie erlebt. Daher war das in meinen Augen Abzocke.

My stay was too short! I need to return for a longer stay at the hotel!

- Dorota (9/5): Tolle Lage. - Das Hotel überzeugt durch seinen besonderen historischen Charakter, der dem Aufenthalt eine einzigartige Atmosphäre verleiht. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Zimmer sind sauber und ruhig, Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Außerdem werden Frühstücksmöglichkeiten angeboten. Insgesamt eine sehr gute Wahl für einen gelungenen Aufenthalt.

- F M (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay at the Aava Malacca Hotel. The place is beautifully decorated and truly has a charming atmosphere, it feels like traveling back to the past. My room was very spacious, spotless clean and comfortable, I slept very well. Location is also great, just a few minutes to Jonker Walk and lots of shops and restaurants. Definitely recommended!

- Lien (8/5): A pleasant restful stay. - The room was larger than I had anticipated, especially the bathroom. Cleanliness was very good and the room was quiet. It has a small refrigerator and a safe. The staff were polite and helpful. Would stay again if ever come to this city again. The hotel seems to have been converted from a rich Chinese family’s home, so it has a warm nostalgia feeling. The breakfast menu was very limited and quality was low, but it’s not a deal breaker for me. I wish the room has a small hand towel for each guest instead of just a large bath towel.

- SHU HUI (10/5): - 酒店的位置離最熱閙的雞場街很近非常方便，而且房間很大、很乾淨、很舒適，床也很舒服，且一進房門就有淡淡的花香味，加上又有附贈簡單的早餐，整個CP值超高，如果有到麻六甲住宿的話，這間酒店真的很推薦！

I complaint but the staff said will repair soon. We accept it. I dont want to be so fussy customer. But the aircond room is set off every one hour. Wtf?!!! We need to turn on the aircond every one hour even we sleep in the night. The aircond every one hour off. What hotel is that setting aircond off every one hour??? How customer sleep? Every one hour need to on .. we cannot sleep. Always need to on the aircond. Very dissapointed! I want the hotel refund my money!

- Gert (9/5): - Een zeer grote kamer met balkon met uitzicht op de rivier in een prachtig oud pand. De badkamer is ruim, twee wastafels, een bad en ruime inloopdouche. Een waterkoker, koffiemachine en koelkast. De lokatie is perfect, alle bezienswaardigheden en voldoende restaurants op loopafstand. Het ontbijt was ronduit slecht, weinig keus. Daar mag iets meer aandacht voor komen

- Valerie (8/5): Fine for a short stay but lacking in appeal - Our room, which was on the ground floor facing the river (although the view is currently obscured by building works) was very large and the bed was comfortable. There was a safe, a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The hotel location was great: very close to the river and only a few minutes walk to the main tourist area. This could be such a great heritage hotel but there is something a little odd about the place, although it is hard to put a finger on what doesn't quite 'work'. In the bathroom, there was no hand soap or hand towel. The shower was above a bath with high sides which was very slippery. The breakfast was very limited (a choice of three 'sets') and pretty uninspiring. (it ranked last out of our 15 different hotel breakfasts in Malaysia and Borneo).

- Colin (9/5): A bit more than usual but worth it. - Hotel Aava is a beautifully decorated and well-maintained older building with quiet, spacious rooms and an excellent staff where everything works: AC, Wifi, hot water. The breakfast is perfectly satisfactory, and the 'Campong Oolu' restaurant across the street is also excellent and very attractive. Our room didn't have a window; this, however, was not a problem.

- Kar Juen (7/5): I'm not a fussy guest, I just do not like to be deceived. - The proximity to the attractions and food, yet located at the quieter side of the area. The free parking lane opposite the hotel (rather narrow for inexperienced drivers and larger vehicles, and only 5 lots available) Room was not ready by 3pm, we have to wait until after 3:30pm. The smell of sewerage coming from the bathtub drain. The bathtub was built overly tall from floor; not recommended for kids and elderly people. We booked the Executive Suite, it's stated under the description that there's "an inner courtyard view". What we were given was a room on ground floor with no views at all, but a large window opening to the river, construction canvas and random passers-by. When I questioned the person at the reception, all I got was "There's nothing I could do, it's first come, first served.".

- Olga (6/5): - Очень не понравилось отношение как к гостю. Улыбаются здесь только китайским гостям. Молодой сотрудник на рецепшн раздражался от просьбы открыть дверь, одолжить зонт. Пожилой сотрудник не помог с вызовом такси, когда я его попросила об этом. Мой аккаунт отключился, но просьбы вызвать такси вызвала недоумение. Очень странно, что на стойке рецепшн нет номера такси, как мне ответил сотрудник. Позже он позвонил и предложил мне очень неоперативно такси за цену в пять раз дороже. В итоге я опоздала на свой автоубс в Куала-Лумпур. Завтрак одна насмешка, проще пойти в любое кафе. Здесь не готовят, а разгоревают еду. Вы получите одно яйцо, страшную сосиску и тост. Просила тихую комнату - дали ровно наоборот, комнату с окном на ресторан и коридор. Было очень шумно. А поскольку странное окно выходит в общественную зону, постоянно приходилось закрывать шторы и было очень некомфортно. В целом, есть гораздо более симпатичные отели.

The chicken slice was not great. The breakfast could be better. I couldn't have my breakfast on the second day and I noticed other hotel guests were not having breakfast on the second day too. The room 106's bathroom shower area was blocked. Water couldn't flow

Sehr freundliches Personal.Tolle Lageam Fluss, in 10 Gehminuten ist man am Dutch Square. Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer (#101) im Erdgeschoss, das leider keine Fenster hatte und feuchte Wände.

Located on a quieter street but still within walking distance of all the main attractions. Love that it is located right beside the river. Night stroll along the river back was a nice experience. The complimentary breakfast is not fancy but a nice touch if you are one to wake early when eateries are not yet fully open. Room feels a little damp, maybe due to lack of windows. It would help if the description of the room informs whether a room is equipped with windows. Lighting is a little dark. Couldn't receive internet connection from own telco, but the hotel provides WiFi so that is helpful.

- Yulee (9/5): 중국풍의 호텔에서의 독특한 경험 - 강변에 위치해있고, 네덜란드 광장과 멀지 않아 좋았음. 독특하게 중국식으로 장식되어 있어 즐거웠으. 엘리베이터가 없어서 2층에 머물러야 하는 경우 불편함. 오래된 건물이라, 관리가 좀 부족하지만 독특한 곳에서 머무르려면 좋음. 방의 침대, tv, 인터넷 등은 관리가 잘 되어서 투숙객들이 사용하기에는 나쁘지 않음. 가격 대비 좋은 시설임~ 오래된 건뭉 냄새가 나고.. 페인트가 떨어져 나간 것들이 있음.
