Guest Reviews
- John (8/5): - Garden Dampness and dehumidifers
Tv old fashioned
- Roy (6/5): Oud vochtig muf huis in fraaie dichtbegroeide tuin. - Leuke wilde tuin Vochtige muffe woning. Niet fris.
- Fiona (8/5): Spacious, comfortable and well equipped - Nice country feel, took us back to a bygone country era which we loved
- Desley (10/5): Great location , easy walking distance to Leura , nice and clean , well stocked . - Peaceful, Large Property, good location , clean and tidy , close to Leura walking distance . Nothing
- Alena (9/5): Lovely place with a sweet garden. - House is located in close proximity to the railway, it can bother some people. Otherwise is pretty quiet. The feeling was like visiting your grandma in the countryside, old house and lovely garden.
- Jill ILIFFE (9/5): -
- catherine (9/5): Un très beau séjour, on a beaucoup aimé ! - L’ambiance et le confort de la maison Il manque un équipement cosy pour profiter du jardin (un canapé par exemple)
- K. Alexandra (10/5): -
- Jacqueline (8/5): -
- Margaret (8/5): - Lovely comfortable cottage Couldn't get the DVD to work.
The path from the garage was overgrown and hard to negotiate with luggage especially in drizzly weather
- Russell (10/5): -
- Jo (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. - The location, cleanliness and the atmosphere. Nothing
- Elaine (9/5): -
- Bronwyn (8/5): Lovely older property but with all the amenities needed being available - The property was easy to access and very clear instructions were given on accessing the keys and how to switch the path lights on if you arrive at night. The property is stunning (very old, but that appeals to me). The property is very well maintained, was exceptionally clean when we arrived and had all the necessary amenities. There were clear instructions on how to use everything in the house. This is not something that the owners can do anything about but the property is close to the railway line and when the freight trains run, the main bedroom window shakes and makes weird noises, which are not awesome if you are a light sleeper. Small price to pay for an otherwise exceptional property.
- Buckley (4/5): - There was plenty of room for our family, and the beds were comfortable. Location was a little out of the main town centre but still walkable. Property did not live up to what was advertised and is in desperate need of renovations. Cracks and marks on walls, kitchen extremely outdated, some blinds and cupboards would not close. The clothes line was covered in so much mould it was unuseable. Ants were coming into the bathroom through the walls. Most disturbing was the fact that a car appeared in the carport during our stay with no communication that this would happen. Would suggest looking around for better value and cleaner options.
- Lyndi (10/5): Perfect - Spacious, well equipped, comfortable beds, beautiful gardens
- Jodie (10/5): - It was a wonderful little cottage, very clean and it had everything you could need to make your holiday easy.
- Brendan (9/5): Superb - Great location. Close to town and secluded. If you don't like walking uphill, take a car
- Lyn (10/5): A very relaxing and enjoyable time - It had a very relaxing and cosy feel about it. It was close to everything we wanted to visit. I felt I could have just curled up and read a book as I felt like I didn’t want to leave. Liked everything about it.
- Maria (8/5): Very good -
- Denise (10/5): This Oasis is the perfect home for a Blue Mountains explore! - The attention to detail was amazing. And our comfort was considered throughout the property. Quality amenities in the bathrooms and kitchen including an insulation picnic/wine backpack, coffees, tea, fresh milk... wow. Plush towels, comfortable beds (with electric mattress pads- heaven). Great communication. "Home" setting that was an oasis after two weeks of busy travel. Great game selection, books, movies, and a yard in which to just relax. The garage, though not used, was a nice treat.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - It was clean and comfortable
- Alison (8/5): Very good - Beds were all very comfortable and the garden was an oasis. The kitchen is dated and without a dishwasher.
- Sarah (10/5): Beautiful, highly recommended - Beautiful, quite, had everything we needed for our stay
- Denise (10/5): Cut little property for galentines hiking weekend - So close to all the hikes and the most comfortable 'visiting nanna' vibes with all the original furnishings of the home. The warm sun sitting out in the front garden with birds visiting and the best part after the weather turned cool was to slip into heated beds Everything was lovely
- Christine (9/5): Loved it. Would stay again! - Relaxing atmosphere. Well stocked. Clear instructions with rental company.
- Hayley (10/5): Exceptional - The house and the grounds
- Joanne (10/5): Fabulous in every way -
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Loads of space and very comfortable. This place is a real gem.
- Roula (10/5): Absolutely everything you need very comfortable and will definitely be booking again!!!!! - It was very spacious and contained everything that you needed it felt like a home away from home. It’s very central to everywhere you want to go. I requested some things and they were all very nicely accommodated. It was a little hard to find when I put the address in maps it kept taking me somewhere else but locals walking around were very friendly and kind and showed us the way.
- Thomas (9/5): Superb -

- Pearly (9/5): Spacious and clean, would come back! - Cleanliness. Facilities - kitchen , toilets , bathroom in good order. None
- John (7/5): Enjoyable stay - Didn't like having dehumidifiers in the property.
- Dave (4/5): Better accommodation can be booked in the Blue Mountains. - The location of this property was great. Within easy reach of some great sights in the Blue Mountains and within walking distance of a pub and restaurants. The BBQ patio area was great and a possum or two came to visit us while we sat outside each evening. On entry to the property we were hit with a strong, almost overpowering, musty smell. There were two dehumidifiers working in separate rooms. We assumed they were to reduce the musty smell, but there were no instructions on whether they should be left on or regularly emptied (which we had to do on numerous occasions).
During our stay the smoke alarm went off and could not be stopped. It was so loud we had to leave the property. We made multiple calls (unanswered) and sent texts to the rental agency about this, but it took them more than 20 minutes to acknowledge us. The problem was eventually resolved by an electrician removing the smoke alarm! We also had some issues with the plumbing in the bathroom.
Overall impression of the property is that is is old and tired. This is not mentioned in the description, which we found very disappointing.
- Christine (9/5): Superb -
- Hermanus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jim (10/5): Blue Mountains 24 - Quite and peaceful location but very close to everything we wanted to see, house was extremely comfortable, it was like a home away from home if we come to th we Blue Mountains again we will definitely consider this one. Gardens were a bit over grown and laked neatness
- John (9/5): The decor was really quaint and brought back fond memories of my childhood - We provided our own breakfast Nothing. All good
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good - Location was excellent. Easy walk to town and eateries. Was off the main highway and quiet. Property was very clean and comfortable. The blinds at the property were mostly broken, not able to close all the blinds at night as some were broken. Lounge room light was flickering so needs new bulb or repair. Didn't like the third party we had to go through, "Accommodated ", for our booking.
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Han (10/5): Exceptional -
- Athol (9/5): Charming and comfortable stay with good value for money. Great way to see the Blue Mountains. - We loved the cosyness and old fashioned touches in the home, especially the kitchen. It was charming. The outside area for sitting was lovely, as was the garden. Perfect location
- Nicola (9/5): Great wee cottage in a handy location. Had everything you would need for a break away. - Very comfortable and lovely place to stay close to town. Had everything supplied which was great. The lounge seemed very dark, even with the lights on but this would be due to the paint colour. Google maps didn't quite know where it was but after a bit of driving around I found the house. Phew!
- Robert (8/5): A good location for a pleasant two night stay in the Blue Mountains. - - Spacious
- Comfortable beds
- Washing machine and tumble dryer - Not a lot of natural light in the property. We found it quite dark.
- Glen (8/5): Great stay. Comfortable house - Authentic blue mountains house, with plenty of 1970s charm Taps need a bit of maintenance
- Teresa (7/5): Good -
- Susy (10/5): Such an adorable old home. It had all the amenities and comfort of your own home. Thank you - Easy to find, very clean!!! And such comfy beds!! No complaints
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Samantha (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Hafsa (10/5): Exceptional - Loved this little gem of a place. It had every convenience that made our stay relaxing and peaceful. Nothing at all it was all lovely!
- Aaron (8/5): Great place to stay - The house was wonderful, great location, very cosy, clean and a wonderful place to stay for our family. We loved the games and the garden. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The amount of emails received from the host “Accommodated” was outrageous. 20 emails received, only about 3 of them required and to try and read through what they were actually about was incredibly frustrating. Also a little unimpressed with the credit card fees on top of booking prices.
- Ala'i (5/5): A little disappointed - It was a very sweet home, with beautiful gardens. Good location as it is just a couple minutes drive to Leura mall. The beds were nice with electric blankets and linen was all fresh. Unfortunately there were a couple challenges particularly on our first night. It was extremely cold and windy outside and despite our best efforts we couldn't get our rooms warm with the heaters. The draft coming in under the doors was so cold. Luckily this was remedied by the property manager so the second night was nice and toasty. The other challenge was that we arrived to a house full of flies. We killed at least 30 flies on the first night and in the morning we realized that there were maggots in the bathtub. The property manager responded quite quickly and a cleaner came the next day to address it, but we still kept finding maggots in the bathroom. It was quite distressing and I do feel that it wouldnt have happened if the house had been checked just before we arrived. They would have clearly seen the issue, but unfortunately the property was last cleaned about 4 days before we came so in that time this all must have happened. As the maggots kept appearing it felt like the issue was still unresolved while we were there and I worry that the next person might end up facing the same thing. I feel bad saying this as I could tell they tried hard to make it good for us, but I feel like the property needs a little closer attention. I honestly thought we might receive some kind of compensation as it made the short stay a little stressful and uncomfortable, but haven't yet heard back from the property manager about this.
- Sophia (7/5): Pleasant, lovely garden, comfortable beds - Uncomfortable lounges

- Christine (10/5): An experience my friend and I intend to repeat - The location was secluded and very quiet Nothing

- Ingrid (8/5): Very good - Well equipped, spacious home in good location Not the most modern facilities. Not well suited for a cold winter stay (although the electric blankets were nice).
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Jocelyn (8/5): All well equiped, comfy bed, well heated - Location was good for driving. Too far a walk to Leura for these two old chooks 😅 The bedroom I stayed in had a rattle. Woke me up all night. Not sure what it was, thought it may be the picture hanging over the bed, as trucks went down the highway
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (7/5): Nice house, good location in the mountains. - nice place with art deco furniture and a comfy bed.
- Carissa (10/5): fantastic accomodation for our family in a great location - great location, very comfy furnishings, beautiful gardens. nothing. everything was

Communication was a little over complicated with a lot of messages but was happy with the place and rules. The couches are a bit old and large so we didn't find them comfortable.
