Guest Reviews
- Marie (7/5): - There was no breakfast 😃 Bath and shower pressure and hot water in the upstairs bathroom was terrible !
- Patrick (9/5): Brilliant location, house and beautifully relaxing. - Location is perfect for both walking the beautiful Blue Mountains, or enjoying family games time in house or in the garden. House facilities are excellent. Lots of nice small touches showing care. Nothing!
- Jacqui (10/5): -
- Ken (8/5): Comfortable, cosy and user friendly - More wheelie bins
- Alyda (7/5): -
- Krysia (9/5): Lovely well equipped house in a nice location. - We loved how well equipped the house was with plates, a large table, sauces and other thoughtful extras. The beds were comfortable and there was a good amount of room! It was very hot while we were staying, our only suggestion is that the top rooms became very hot and a fan in those rooms would have been wonderful.
- Ian (8/5): large family holiday home - Walking distance to Sublime Point lookout. Well equipped kitchen with little extras that made our stay easier. Comfy furniture. Great home for large family with 3 generations as was the case for us. Squeaky floor in one upstairs bedroom
- Rachael (9/5): Lovely green break close to hiking and bush walking trails. - Great location with lots of space. The veranda is getting a bit old and there are a few loose nails.
- Shane (6/5): -
- Sue (10/5): As a group doing the Grand Cliff top walk, we found this house 100% suitable and comfortable. - This was an awesome house for group accommodation. We were really impressed with the cleanliness, nice crisp linen and soft towels, and the supplies within the house were very handy. Excellent location to do the Grand Cliff top walk, as it is located at end of Day 1, and can start Day 2 from there. May need to be aware the location is not within walking distance of public transport, We used Taxi's to take us into Leura or other towns. still worked out cheap with a group. Would be handy to have own car. Bedroom upstairs would be good to have flyscreen on the window, so not worried about critters at night if leaving window open.
- Evans (8/5): A cozy home from home in the blue mountains amidst some wonderful walks - It’s a great property with plenty of room for a family or even a few families. Being so close to to sublime point was wonderful, and we also walked with our 3 small kids down to the pools of Siloam - we all said it was the best walk we’ve ever done in the Blue Mountains - and we could do it right from the house.
The bathrooms are clean and the shower downstairs is awesome! The kitchen was well stocked and we also loved the fireplace - which had plenty of wood available to use (our kids also picked some kindling from the garden as well). The whole house was super duper warm - we were never cold which had been a worry for me as we had a small baby with us along with two other kids. The house really felt like a home from home. The kitchen is great and I liked having the two ovens but a note to the owners - you need to invest in some new pots and pans - every one of them was worn down and everything stuck and burned on the bottom - from pancakes to bacon to burger patties! Ovens are great though so we just used those and the microwave.
- Foat (8/5): Very good -
- Sally (8/5): Very good - Lots of beds and space. Amazing kitchen and general house facilities. Needs more couch seating
- Isabel (7/5): On the whole a lovely place to stay spend time with friends and family. - Area is stunning and was in walking distance of Sublime Point. Some gets struggled with the comfort of the beds and their room allowed light in.
- Bishop (9/5): Superb -
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (8/5): Very good -
- Robin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (9/5): Our 4 night stay at Sublime Cedar Lodge Leura was just as we expected it to be. Great location, great facilities, plenty - Great location The cicadas were noisy when we first arrived, but they soon settled down.
- Kimberley (10/5): Exceptional - Great location for walking the grand clifftop walk.
Perfect size for a large group. Needed a mirror in the downstairs room with all the single beds.
- Mike (9/5): nice to relax after walking all day - excellent location
- Russell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Silvia (8/5): Very good - Plenty of room for the 4 of us The grounds, garden could have been a bit more up kept
- William (7/5): Good -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Jayk (7/5): Good - We enjoyed the fireplace and the comfy living space, the kitchen was beautiful and the open room next to the kitchen was really nice, alot of birds fly on to the outside deck so it's nice to have visitors during breakfast specificly the fluffy kookaburras. There was a bit of damage throughout the house specificly next to the fireplace was cracked like someone had dropped something heavy on it, one of the doors in the upstairs bedroom was missing one of its rail guides, the heater above the bathroom door didn't work(not that we needed it) and there was damage to a door downstairs like someone had slammed it hard, this damage didn't impact our experience badly but it was worth to note
Also to note the bed in the upstairs bedroom squeaks alot we ended up just sleeping in another room but probably check that out😅
- Jerry (9/5): Superb -
- Natalie (9/5): A great house for a group, very comfortable with lots of space. Perfect for our family get together. Would come again. - We had lots of room for our group of 8. Teenagers enjoyed being in their separate ‘den’ with own TV. Comfortable beds, nice linen. The deck and garden is lovely so you can sit outside if weather is good. 2 Bathrooms is great for a group and quality toiletries are supplied. Kitchen had everything we needed. Overall a very enjoyable 6 nights in a quiet area. Has very strict rules about other unpaid visitors dropping in which we thought was a bit over the top.
The 2.9% credit card surcharge is excessive.
- Valerie (10/5): Exceptional - The peacefulness..Roominess..Everything we needed and more..
- Allan (8/5): Wonderful getaway - Everything Nothing
- Donovan (9/5): Superb -
- Patrick (9/5): VERY enjoyable and relaxing stay in a lovely, quiet location. - The property was very spacious and clean, and in a fantastic location (casual 20-minute walk to great lookout). Spacious multiple bedrooms set up. Towels and linen all top quality. Additional things like shampoos / cooking ingredients and all appliances you might need. best shower I have experienced. Not much to say that we didn't like. Everything was as stated or better.
- Effie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachael (8/5): Great property, would definitely stay again. - Property was clean and tidy, well stocked with plates/pots and pans etc along with tea and coffee. Property grounds were well maintained. One of the beds upstairs could do with a new base, it creaks all the time and the other mattress could do with a foam topper or new mattress. There wasn't any Netflix/ foxtel available. There is a flyscreen missing off upstairs bedroom
- Nadia (9/5): Great house and fantastic stay - It was comfortable, clean and adequate for our group. Nothing much but some in the group didn't want to stay upstairs. There was no problem as they used the downstairs part of the house. Plenty of room for everybody.
- Alyda (7/5): Good - We liked the location, space in the house, it was nice and warm with the fire on, the kitchen was well situated in the house The invoicing was quite confusing 2 times cleaning was written on the 2 invoices I received, the cost of accommodation was unclear until I received the one invoice with everything that cost documented. I think having a 50% deposit was quite steep as I have stayed in other places in Leura when I paid a 25% deposit and the final amount was deducted 14 days prior to our weekend in the Blue Mountains. Where as your accommodation charged the final amount 30 days prior.
- Maureen (9/5): Superb -
- Kelly (8/5): great place for a group of friends wanting to check out the mountains - nice quiet location bed was a little hard
- Deb (7/5): Good - The space and proximity to everything Not a dislike but space for groceries would be good
- Chris (7/5): Good - Kitchen was well equipped, lots of sleeping space and nice location. The lounge was extremely hard to get out of, the beds would benefit from better mattresses.
- Sue (6/5): Peaceful location but need’s maintenance - Peaceful area, near great walks, great for a large group House is in need of a spring clean and maintenance, it’s a bit old and tired. Smelled musty on arrival.
- Pham (8/5): Relax and quiet. - The area it's located in. The kitchen was well equipped
The space around the house was not too cramped that no one can move around freely. Close to the look out.
necessary items for bathing. A fire place was good for the rainy days. The bed needed to be flipped. some of the beds in the rooms were dipped and hard to sleep on. There was some things in the house which was hard to use like the blinds. When you pull it the whole stick fell down nearly hitting heads. Needed to buy our own rubbish bags.
- Rachel (8/5): Great house for groups in a quiet location, shame the hosts are less than hospitable - The house was large and good for groups of friends or family because there were 5 bedrooms, two bathrooms, 8 seats at the dining table and two lunges in the lounge room.
It was a 5 minute drive (or 40 minute walk) into Leura which was very convenient.
There was a fireplace and air con to keep the house warm.
The bathrooms had recently been renovated so felt clean and functional. For the amount the hosts charge for a house designed for up to 10 guests, I'm surprised at the stingy amount of tea bags (and no herbal tea options), coffee pods and milk left for us for the weekend.
The hosts were very difficult to deal with as it is run by some sort of accommodation company but I booked through Booking.com so every email I sent with a question, I got two emails back in a terrible format so I had to read through a lot of information to find the one line answer to my question; the company charge credit card processing fees which increase what you pay; the company take your bond (rather than just hold it) and it took 3 weeks after I checked out to get my bond back which is unacceptable; there were emails sent and notes in the house about all the HOUSE RULES which were over the top and aggressive; the check in time on the booking website and in the email with the key code sent the day before check in were not corresponding so I planned to check in at 3pm but was told the day earlier I could not check in until 4pm (who arrives at a weekend away at 4pm????) and so it goes. It made the whole experience, a simple weekend away, turn into an unpleasant experience.
- Karen (1/5): We didn't stay as it was a ridiculous situation - Nothing there was nothing to say right from getting there it was disappointing, walking in and finding everything dirty and in disarray, no ,dirty linen, dirty beds unmaid, no cleaning done when we finally got through to the property manager to let them know it was attitude, we waited in the freezing cold trying to get some help for two hours and where treated like we weren't important enough to help seriously, we didn't stay at all in the end, after waiting 2 hours outside in the cold we gave up and sought other accommodation it was far superior and cheaper accommodation. Service ,cleaning, help, made to feel like we were worth helping with proper alternatives
- Vicki (8/5): Very good -
- Jodie (10/5): What a fantastic place and an awesome way to spend a relaxing weekend with good friends! - The location was great, close to all the attractions we wanted to go to and close the lots of great shops, cafes and restaurants. It was very quiet, peaceful and private. The house itself was amazing! Extremely clean, great amenities, the beds were really comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sublime Cedar Lodge and should my group of friends and I go back to the Blue Mountains, we would definitely stay there again. N/A.
