• julie (7/5): Great location with a little effort this property could be great. - Location and size of property. Bedding was old, lumpy pillows old blankets no doona. No comfortable couch to sit on just extra bed. No tea or coffee making. Very closed up smell when we arrived.

• Jacob (8/5): Prijs kwaliteit een toplocatie om in de oude stad te verblijven. - De locatie is top, met prachtig uitzicht op zee en op de stadsmuur. De dekens en dekbedden lagen los in een kist, liever in plastic dan weet de gast zeker of ze schoon zijn. Begin mei heb je nog wel een deken nodig.

• Joachim (9/5): Super-Lage und sehr freundlicher Host, Ärger über die Klimasteuer-Nachzahlung - Super-Lage innerhalb der Festungsmauern, Ioannis brachte mir einen Regenschirm vorbei wegen des schlechten Wetters, gute Tipps von ihm für die Stadt. Die Klimasteuer ("Klimaresilienz-Abgabe") ist nicht 2 Euro pro Tag, sondern 8 Euro. Daher wurde ich bei der Schlüsselübergabe gleich nochmal mit 42 Euro zur Kasse gebeten, was mich geärgert hat. Diese Gebühr gibt es bereits seit Anfang 2025. Warum wird das bei Booking.com nicht korrekt abgerechnet? Die Fenster und die Fensterläden müssten verbessert werden. Keine Spüle in der Küche, man muss im Badezimmer das Geschirr waschen.

• Richard (3/5): Very Disappointed. I had to check out after one night and moved to another hotel! - The bed was very uncomfortable. There seem to be Bed bugs as I was itching all night. No proper heating - only a space heater. The Bathroom was not very clean and only a half bottle of cheap soap was available. The blanket was dirty with stain on it.

• Anne (7/5): Good value (discounted price) for a one night stay that maximises experience of Rhodes old town. - The location in a residential part of the old town was atmospheric and accessible. Key collection was easy and communication with the property good. The room was clean with all basics provided and a good bathroom. There is a very useful folder with lots of good tourist information. There is a roof terrace which we enjoyed in the evening which is accessed via steep stairs that I would not recommend for the elderly or young. Good value for the discounted price. There was only one tea/coffee cup (so we had to share) and the front door is very stiff to open and scrapes, but provides natural security.

Il n'est pas précisé que les toilettes donne sur une des chambres et qu'il faut chercher la clé pour accéder par une petite porte extérieure. Peu de couverts de cuisine (mug et verres). Beaucoup de laisser-aller dans l'entretien et la conservation du logement. Pas de suffisament de chaises sur la terrasse du haut (5 en tout ! ). Pas de parasol sur la terrasse

• Charles (9/5): Great value for money. - On arrival, the front door was open, with the key in a holder on the wall next to the door inside the room. Two bed rooms (The property is within the Old Towns walls.) with comfy beds, along with clean sheets and towels. A really nice shower room/two sinks/toilet with plenty toilet paper. A T.V. in each bedroom. Outside seating area, as well with a sunroof terrace with table and chairs, which we used. A fridge with two bottles of water inside. Microwave,/ Grill. Coffee maker etc. Restaurants within walking distance to the property area. Quiet at night, giving us a good night's sleep. The host, John was very good with communication when we needed it by phone, giving us all the information we needed for our five night stay. Everything was good.

• VB (8/5): Can do if you are not in Rhodes for a hotel experience. - Lovely location in proximity but away from all the central streets. Lovely roof-top terrace. Apartment is planned to have maximum efficiency but it has taken a toll on comfort. Like entrance to the bathroom is from a bedroom almost behind a bed.

The rooftop deck was a major highlight, peaceful, scenic, and the perfect place to unwind. My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay. Everything from the ambiance to the service exceeded our expectations. We would 100% recommend the Emerald Dream House to anyone visiting the area, and we would absolutely return if the future calls for it. Highly recommend, it’s a place that stays with you.

Bathroom accessed through second bedroom and doors can't be opened quietly. No real kitchen, sink outside. Fridge door incredibly noisy.

The kitchen appliances and kitchenware were very tired and old . Fridge needs replacing and crockery insufficient for an apartment that can host 5people . Although there was small stove provided it was inside a cupboard and did not look like it was functioning . With a small amount of money all of these could be rectified which would make the apartment really nice . Access to the property along the cobble roads was a challenge !

Very responsive. very accommodating. the place is really clean. great location. the rooftop has amazing view. silent street. spacious room, spacious bathroom. great internet. the kitchen was under equipped. the accommodation was 2 max 3 people, so it most probably has enough 2-3 spoons forks glasses but, not much backup. this is the slightest small insignificant feedback.

• David (7/5): Good - Loved the location in Old town of Rhodes. Loved the charm and character of the flat. Loved the roof terrace. A quirky place to stay. It would be fab if it had an indoor sink. Alot of stairs so you need to be fully mobile and the old town has cobbled streets so very good mobility and footwear required.

Paid for 8 nights, moved out after 1, forfeited 7. - The host Yiannis was very friendly and available on whatsapp & in person. he met me at St Anthanaios gate where my airport transport dropped me (no cars in the old town). on his scooter he took my luggage and me to the apartment which was a couple of minutes drive away. He carried my luggage up the narrows stars and showed me the apartment. When i left, he came to carry my luggage down and use his scooter to send me to the alternative apartment i moved to. I was uncomfortable the minute i stepped into the apartment. interior furnishings and fittings very old, worn and some broken. it's old town so I was prepared for external fixtures to be old. But cleaniness, maintenance of interior facilities should be possible. That was not the case here. Facilities : apartment main door stuck - the host acknowledged this and recommended using the narrow bathroom external door (which did not have a handle, just a hole where the handle was) to enter/exit The apt main door also had a crack where the wood split. The 'kichenette' had no sink (i acknowledge no sink in the photo on booking.com). Mosquito netting on windows torn or non-existent. apartment chairs were outdoor chairs brought inside and had holes in seat netting. bedside lamps had no lampshade, just naked light bulbs. only 1 lamp in each bedroom, not a pair per room. bathroom towel hook broken. the bed linen very thin and worn, could see through to the mattress. Cleanliness: dead cockroach on the inside of window mosqito netting. oven had leftover food crumbs inside. apartment smelt musty and bed linens had an uncomfortable smell to them. i could see dust motes in the morning air. big dustballs on the dining table legs. layer of visible dust on the shelf under the bathroom sinks, on tv remote control, on kicknacks like artificial flowers I booked and paid up for 8 nights. I spend the night of arrival searching for alternative accommodations. The day after arrival i moved out. The host was only willing to refund me 2 nights. I forfeited 5 unused nights. The alternative apartment i moved to was still in old town but it was beautiful, modern, big, secure and for the same price. Very stressful start to my vacation. Lost a vacation day and 5 nights accommodation money. Lesson learnt that photos might not reflect current state of apartment facilities which have been allowed to run down and not clean.

Loved the rooftop terrace, fantastic location for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening! Will definitely book again when visiting Rhodes old town. Photos show view from the terrace.

The property had everything we needed including the little extras such as body soap etc which came in handy. Met the owner and he was very friendly and welcoming. Loved the traditional design of the property. Bathroom window not private, anyone upstairs can see in from the terrace. Needs a curtain or some cover.

The apartments and terrace furniture were much older and used than in the presented pictures, one of the rooms didn't have a window. There was no sink in the upper apartment kitchen..

• Melissa (8/5): Right in the ancient heart of the stunning city of Rhodes. - Location in the heart of the beautiful old city of Rhodes was great. My only criticism is that because we needed to use the sofa as a second bed, there was nowhere comfortable to sit, a couple of comfy chairs would have been nice. The doors were a bit hard to lock and unlock but this is a minor issue. Value for money and location excellent and our host was charming. As mentioned, no comfy chairs and doors but this shouldn't stop anyone staying here.

• Patrick&steve (7/5): Good - Location, owner met us at St Francisco gate and assisted with suitcases. Very spacious appartement with all amenities needed. It's just an idea to have a bottle of water in fridge upon arrival as water from tap in Greece is not for consumption. I missed that. Bathroom was spacious but shower was unhandy with no wall hook to attach showerhead, you had to hold it in your hand.

Rooftop balcony had great views. You needed to go through second bedroom to get to shared bathroom. Beds were not very comfortable and main bedroom mattress was dirty . Kitchen facilities were very limited with sink outside the property.. Pictures showed mixture of the one and two bedroom properties so was not expecting what we had. No window in 2nd bedroom. Overpriced in my opinion. Windows were shabby. Broken chair on rooftop. Broken sunloungers. Not well cared for on rooftop.

• All4 (10/5): Amazing Owners And Beautiful Large Apartment! - Amazing clean beautiful apartment in old town of Rhodes with absolutely wonderful staff!! First of all the apartment was so relaxing and large, perfect location with food nearby and attractions within walking distance ect. And the owners are absolutely wonderful and helped with setting up taxis and helping with luggage storage and really going above and beyond with excellent communication. Even contacted after checkout to make sure we got to airport ok. Would definitely recommend and will stay there again next time!! Thank you so much!!

Jon is the host, he was very helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble for him. The apartment was large, it was pretty basic but had everything we needed, and it was also spotless. It had a lovely rooftop terrace, this was a suntrap, with views of the other rooftops across the old town. The sunlounges/chairs on the rooftop terrace, could do with repairing or replacing.

You got 4 beds inside so you can lay and relax basically in any room. Minifridge, extra blankets, and you got a terrace on the roof where you can sunbathe. There were a few ants only in the bathroom that came from outside the window. The bed was noisy. The water stream was a bit weak in the shower.
