• Emily (10/5): The best time had in Cua Dai that we ended up extending our stay! - What a fantastic place to stay whilst visiting Vietnam, Cam and her family are so kind and welcoming, helpful and lovely to chat to. The location is fantastic with lots of restaurants, shops, beach and even a Yoga class near by. Nothing… it was fab!

There was some mold in the bathroom but otherwise the room was clean and the bed was comfy! It didn't bother us, but the room didn't have a TV when it said it did.

Cam, the owner and her family are an absolute delight - she booked several activities for me and gave me some great recommendations for restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble - had my washing done and enjoyed a tasty breakfast. Lovely location just 5 mins walk to a quiet beach - would highly recommend this very chilled homestay. Bathroom was a little tired but had hot water and great shower pressure.

I even got a hug from the corner restaurant owner opposite the homestay. It is easy to reach the market, walk to the beach for a swim or eat at the many open beach restaurants.

• Jessica (6/5): Pleasant - The locating is very close to the beach and the sunrise is beautiful. The owners are lovely and very welcoming and accommodating. I asked if I could change beds as my original mattress had springs sticking out of it and they hauled a whole new and very comfortable mattress in for me. I loved having the 2 dogs and cat around after travelling for so long and missing animals. They installed new air conditioners while I was staying too, even though the older ones worked well. There is a local café around the corner that has fair prices for anyone who wants to get a good breakfast or work on your laptop. Embi's coffee cart close by is great, I went there most mornings to get a coffee or a matcha and she has many options! I booked this place specifically because it said they had an area to do yoga and only found out once there that this is not the case. The booking was also non-refundable which was a bummer because I do a pilates/yoga flow everyday and my room was far too small to do this in. If you're booking because of this I would reconsider. All of the prices at the restaurants close by are very high. Pho for 70-80k dong so if you're on a budget there are not many options for a quick and easy meal on your door step. There are lot's of ants and other bugs that would fall from the roof. If you don't like bugs something else to consider.

The value for money is exceptional, beds are comfortable, shower is hot, air conditioning is great, very family vibe and there is a great restaurant just 1 minute walking distance. The beach is really close and I enjoyed being in a more quiet and relaxing area of Hoi An. Rice fields are close by, you can rent a bike at the property and there are 2 cute dogs. You will feel at home here. Everything is simple but made with love.

• Vlad (9/5): Feels like home - This is a homestay, so keep that in mind when booking. However, to be honest, it’s better than most hotels in the area! First, the people running it are incredibly kind and helpful, making you feel right at home. They assisted us with everything we needed—arranging transportation to Cham Island and even storing our luggage for the weekend. Second, the rooms are properly cleaned, and the location is fantastic—close to the beach yet in a quiet part of the city, ensuring a great night's sleep. Lastly, the internet is reliable, making it a great place to work remotely if needed. Highly recommend staying here!

The hotel also had a bicycle rental so it was easy to get around. It is located between the beach and the old town so it was easy to go to both places. The upkeep of the rooms were not up to standard and the pictures on the listing were outdated. The room smelled moldy, the bathroom sink had dark mold at some sections, and the taps were stained.

• Saša (9/5): Superb - Very nice family, the lady helped us out with everything - rented us bikes to drive to the old city, rented us motorbike to drive around for a day and also organised motorbike rental for one way Hai Van Pass to Hue, with luggage transfer. We also liked the breakfast. The place is 3min walk from the beach and about 5km from the old city center. Can only recommend :) The rooms are a bit worn, but who cares.

They also organized a table and chair for my room so that I could also work. Every day my room was cleaned and I got fresh towels. A fridge in the room would have been nice, but otherwise I had everything what I needed.

(great value!) - This lovely homestay is perfectly located, the staff are lovely, the breakfast is good value and one is really staying in their home so it feels like a privilege to be there! Ill be back! Its a bit disorganised, but it is a private residence so I guess the usual craziness of a home. It adds character to the stay! (prepare to be woken occasionally by morning prayers)

Room was a good size, shower was great! Location is ok for the local beach and walking but a few miles from main town. Little restaurant opposite the end of the road does really good food! Bus stop at the end of the road got us to Da Nang really cheap. Overall a great, budget friendly Homestay. It’s a little worn, but they have plans to renovate. Didn’t matter to us though. The beach wasn’t great in December.
