Guest Reviews
- Kathryn (10/5): - This location was ideal for us as we travel with two dogs. The room, straight off the courtyard, provided easy access and was large and well equipped. The dining room was also easy access and parking was very close by.
Just outside the property is a park and a lake with woodland. This made it perfect for walking the dogs. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was a bonus to enjoy a good meal and wine on the premises. A continental breakfast is included with optional extras if you prefer to have eggs.
- Frans Mikael (6/5): Dejligt sted, men skuffende service.
- Johnathan (10/5): - A wonderful experience, in a lovely and quiet B&B.
Even though we arrived late, we rang and explained that we would be late, we were met and shown our rooms.
An American diner is only 10min away and seemed a very popular restaurant.
Would quite happily stay there again.
Only suggestion might be to have a kettle and coffee available in the room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property was lovely. tea and coffee making facilities would have been nice in the room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is our fourth stay here. There is something very special about the chateau. It's not pretentious or fancy and we love it. The dinner is delicious and very reasonably priced and we love the ambience. Everyone sits at a long table and it's a lovely friendly experience. Great breakfast too.
Caroline Gakic, the owner, is delightful.
The setting is magical.
We're stopping off here again on our way back from the south of France.
- Stacey (10/5): - Very nice home with a very nice owner. Would say again when I return to Theillay.
- Marilyn (8/5): Lovely old chateau - Beautiful old property with a pretty view, run by a lovely couple. Good welcome, comfortable bed and a good breakfast. Easy to get to and from the N20 autoroute.
- Adrian (10/5): A Great stopover - The chamber d’hote is in a lovely location opposite a small lake. The owner is friendly and we had a good evening meal. Everyone eats at the same table and we had a smashing evening with a French family, a Dutch one and a Belgium couple.
A great stopover
- Robert (8/5): Pleasant hotel within easy reach of the the tunnel - Pleasant surroundings, with a nice evening meal, although the wine was a bit on the pricey side. We would certainly use this hotel again if in the local area.
