• Miguel (10/5): Great stay, we'll repeat when we come back to Coimbra - We really enjoyed our stay. The house is in a very peaceful neighborhood close to the old town, the rooftop view as the start of our day was awesome and it's definitely something I'll miss in my morning routine. Everything was very clean and in general exceeded our expectations. We even forgot some items in the room and the staff contacted us to let us know and facilitared the delivery.

El desayuno fue excelente, con unas vistas muy chulas a la ciudad, y el personal muy amable. Las camas son muy cómodas. . Qué Booking no nos indicara que la habitación que habíamos cogido tenía una litera y no tenía ventana que se pudiera abrir. El personal del hotel nos avisó, y como no estaba todo completo nos mejoró la habitación sin recargos.

• Suzanne (9/5): Clean and Comfortable Stay in Coimbra - It is located walking distance from Seminário Maior where we attended a recital. The entire facility was clean. Check-in instruction was clear and easy to follow. Breakfast contained good variety and was served in a room with a nice view over Coimbra by a friendly staff. None.

Deben tener cuidado porque la gente aprovecha que ponen el desayuno para ir cogiendo, y mucha gente se lo guarda y se lo lleva o se hace bocadillos. Y luego cuando vas a coger para desayunar tu, tienes que pedir más porque no queda.

You hear EVERYTHING that is going on in the adjoining rooms. I don't know who considers this breakfast "very good" – for me it is average at best. No hot meals, no eggs – "we have continental breakfast". And what is available (bread, cooked ham, one kind of cheese, some sweets, yogurts and cornflakes) is all of just average quality. Orange "juice" was unpleasant to drink. Do not expect anything "very good". We even skipped the prepaid breakfast on our second morning here. The windows in our room made clanking sounds the whole night because of the wind outside, which interfered with our sleep. When we arrived, there was no drinking water in our room. I messaged the hotel staff on WhatsApp (the same number that had sent me the check-in instructions) to ask about water, but they did not reply, as it was already 22:00. I ended up googling whether tap water in Coimbra is safe to drink and boiling it in the kettle – not too tasty, but at least we had something to drink.

• Barbara (9/5): Herrschaftlich residiert und familiär umsorgt! - Die Lage war für uns, die wir ein wenig Ruhe haben wollten perfekt. Man muss allerdings gut zu Fuß sein, wenn man in die Stadt möchte (ca. 20 Minuten, bergauf, bergab). Wir wurden als einzige Gäste sehr freundlich umhegt und gepflegt, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Die Terrasse und der Frühstücksraum sind schon etwas ganz besonderes , zumal das Frühstück auch mit Liebe für uns gemacht wurde. Die alte Villa ansicht ist schon einen Besuch wert. Die Betten waren sehr bequem.

• Gerhard (2/5): 🥲🥲🥲 - Uns wurde ein Zimmer mit „Bunk beds“ ohne Fenster angeboten. Absolut untragbar!! Nachdem wir uns darüber beschwert hatten wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass dies genau unserer Bestellung entspricht. Ich hatte schon sehr viele Buchungen über Booking.com getätigt, aber so etwas ist mir bisher nicht untergekommen. Gegen einen Aufpreis, den wir vor Ort bezahlt hatten, haben wir dann ein „normales“ Zimmer bekommen in einer Ausstattung, wie man es erwarten kann.

Personeel is heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Stad is gelegen op heuvels, hotel ligt vrij hoog. Naar beneden kun je te voet. Terug veel met uber gedaan ( tip) van personeel en werkte prima. Als je slecht ter been bent, er is geen lift. Veel trappen. Oud pand wat enigzins gehorig is.

• Sabine (10/5): Wenn Coimbra, dann auf jeden Fall dieses Hotel! - Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll und kreativ eingerichtet. Die Dachterrasse ist großartig. Es ist nachts ruhig und man findet eigentlich immer einen Parkplatz. Die Matratzen sind sehr gut. Tolle Aussicht vom Balkon Die Gartenmöbel aus Flechtmaterial fanden wir wir nicht ganz so toll wie den Rest, ist alles immer ein bisschen wackelig auf dem Tisch. Ist aber überhaupt nicht wichtig.

It's a little far up the hill to the main area. However it's an excellent location for the university and botanical gardens

• Brenda (10/5): - The property is in a great location for walking to the University. It was in a cool old house. We enjoyed the fun, "University" vibe of the decor. The staff was great. Emma was a particular delight--very helpful and full of useful information & recommendations. The breakfast buffet was great with many options. It was served on the top floor with nice views and an outdoor patio for nice weather days. The one thing that we would change would be the numerous, plug-in air freshener/frangrances in our room. There were at least 5, and the smell was overwhelming upon arrival. We just gathered them up and put them on a table outside our room and replaced them when we checked out.

También destacaría la decoración del interior del hotel y la terraza donde se sirve el desayuno con unas vistas preciosas. Su ubicación : muy cerca del jardín botánico y del acueducto aunque a un paseo de unos 20 ' para llegar al río y a su calle principal. El colchón y las almohadas ( muy altas y demasiado firmes) me resultaron incómodas.

• Kurt & Andrea (8/5): - Die Unterkunft liegt nahe der Uni und dem Botanischen Garten. Daher perfekt für Coimbra. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit Aussicht. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung. Alles in allem eine sehr schöne Unterkunft. Um alles zu Fuß anzusehen, braucht man sehr gutes Schuhwerk, da die Straßen sehr steil sind und häufig mit Kopfsteinpflaster.

Cuatro individuales, pero parecían nichos( ellos los llaman literas de los qué encuentran en los albergues) por casi 160€ la noche No lo veo bien y debería de haber puesto una reclamación a Booking pero no podía rechazarlo porque vas en familia y de paso y donde te metes a media tarde 4 personas? Así qué recomendación... asegúrate antes de la habitación y camas asignadas

Velmi ochotný a vstřícný personál, který nám poskytl řadu užitečných tipů a doporučení na místní zajímavosti, restaurace atd. Příjemné posezení u snídaně na střešní terase s pěkným výhledem na město. • jennifer (10/5): Very good - Really very nice. Just outside the centre and old quarter but easy enough to walk. Parking isn’t private. It’s in the road but easy enough and close enough. I would say a very safe area. Breakfast was on the roof terrace (or inside). Very nice. Decent enough selection. Continental style. Very nicely presented. Room was fairly small but totally sufficient. Bed too hard for me but ok for my husband. We are all different. Very good pillows and linen. Very clean. We walked to a good restaurant. Papa. Quiet at night time.

• Adrienn (10/5): - Tágas, tiszta, kényelmes szobát kaptam. A személyzet kedves és rugalmas volt. A reggeli nagyon finom és különleges hangulata volt a tetőteraszon felszolgálva. Minden rendben volt

• Marco (8/5): - Siamo rimasti una sola notte in questa struttura, ma è stata una piacevole scoperta. Locali appena ristrutturati, camera super pulita e colazione top sul terrazzo dell'hotel con vista sulla città. Personale gentile. La posizione non è comoda per chi viaggia senza macchina. Ma il personale si rende disponibile per contattare taxi o altri servizi.
• Olimpia (10/5): Excellent stay and will return - Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who was extremely helpful. She explained everything about the hotel, the breakfast, check out time (which is at noon which is great) and also gave us some tips on what to see in the area. The room was exactly like the photos and had everything we needed. The hotel was in walking distance to the botanical gardens and to the University of Coimbra. I would definitely recommend friends or family to stay here if visiting Coimbra. The pillows were a little uncomfortable.
