• Maurice (10/5): Uitstekend verblijf in een rustige wijk - De locatie was perfect, in de wijk Kolonaki. Een erg rustige omgeving in een verder drukke stad. Diverse leuke restaurants en bars in de buurt. De metro was op 300 meter lopen. De matrassen waren erg goed, evenals de douche. We vroegen om extra Nespresso cups en dat was geen probleem. De receptie regelde een taxi naar de luchthaven en dat was goed geregeld. Niets. Je kan moeilijk parkeren maar raad niet aan om met de auto in Athene te rijden. Metro en taxi werkt beter.

Het ontbijt zit in een box per persoon maar kan je ook op het dakterras nuttigen. De kamer is wel wat klein voor 4p. Wij waren met 3 volwassenen en voelde als voldoende aan. Hotelservice was goed; bed opmaak, handdoeken, extra productjes, flesjes water, slofjes en badjas. Aan alles werd gedacht! Ik kan dit verblijf aanraden. Niets

• Eleni (9/5): Excellent location and super clean room - The location is excellent, in the heart of Kolonaki. The staff is very polite and willing to help with any request. Very clean and flexible with the cleaning process. I would recommend a blackout curtains as the morning the light entering the room can be quite annoying.

I really liked the direct and kinda exclusive elevator to the room. The shower head was broken, probably more space for the toiletries is needed in the bathroom (like a shelf).

• Kathryn (8/5): Quiet Stay in the Attic Suite - Sir Athens is located in a quieter part of the city, but within walking distance to a number of restaurants and attractions. Our flight was unfortunately late and therefore, the host was unable to meet us at check-in. However, he was able to communicate everything necessary via WhatsApp, so, upon arrival, we were quickly able to access our room and get some much-needed sleep in the very comfortable beds. My family of four stayed in the Attic Suite, which we found quite roomy. We did not opt for the hotel breakfast, but were able to find a number of delicious breakfast options nearby. As mentioned in other reviews, the sloped ceiling in one of the two rooms of the Attic Suite is rough. Even though I was aware of the dimensions, I still bumped my head multiple times. The bathroom was also a bit weird. The faucet on the sink was loose and broken and the shower head was likewise loose. There is also, unfortunately, only a few open shelves for storage in the rooms and no areas for storage in the bathroom.

The location in the city centre was very convenient and made getting around easy. Nothing negative to say and would definitely stay here again.

The building seems recently renovated and it felt great, I wish I could have stayed longer. A light switch was broken.

• Magdalena (10/5): Perfect for stays in the heart of Athens - Close to the Syntagma square and other main attractions. Very clean. I was upgraded to the attic which had comfortable 2 bedrooms. Very nice decor and nice facilities. It was a little secluded from the main streets but during the night I would take a taxi to get back.

• Carla (9/5): A really good option to visit Athens!!!! - Our room was modern, clean and equipped with everything necessary for a nice stay (toiletries, slippers, bathrobes, complimentary water, etc). Aircon worked super well and we could also enjoy the little terrace. The checkin/out process was seamless and the staff was truly welcoming and helpful. Would definitely come back!! Shower had a little mould but nothing huge!!

• Li (10/5): - Hotel is in 10min minutes on foot from from metro station, and is very close to athens library, academy of Athens, there is a supermarket in 2 min on foot, pharmacy is nearby, the room is big and tidy, the reception is very help and nice and we can connect to the reception through WhatsApp, it is really nice. We stay 2 night in athens and then travel to Santorini, and back the athens, we left our bigger luggage in the hotel reception, so it is much easier for us to travel in Santorini small road. • Laura (6/5): - Bevor wir zu den negativen Vibes kommen, möchte ich das mehr als sehr freundliche & hilfsbereite Hotelpersonal loben. Die Kommunikation war im Vorhinein schon sehr schnell und freundlich. Vor Ort stets bemüht und sehr lieb! Wir hatten von dem Hotel durch die positiven Bewertungen und sehr schönen Bilder einfach viel höhere Erwartungen. Als wir das gewünschte Zimmer betreten haben, war als erstes ein etwas stärkerer Kellergeruch zu vernehmen. Dieser kam nach Überprüfung aus der Dusche. Der Duschvorhang leider mit Schimmel befallen. Für eine Nacht konnten wir ein anderes Zimmer wählen. Dies war sauber. Über Nacht sollte dann der Duschvorhang ausgetauscht werden. Dieser wurde leider die gesamte Zeit unseres Aufenthalts nicht mehr gebracht. Wir haben also ohne Vorhang geduscht (so viel dazu: ein sehr nasses Erlebnis). Auch die Einrichtung war etwas anders, als den Fotos zu entnehmen. Kein Teppich und auch weniger Tische (was natürlich zu mehr Gemütlichkeit geführt hätte bzw. die uns die Fotos versprochen hatten). Generell hatten wir das Gefühl von etwas Lieblosigkeit (bis auf das Hotelpersonal). Die zentrale Lage ist ein Traum!

• K1900MYmichalm (10/5): Charming Stay in a Great Location - We stayed as a family of four—two adults and two teenagers—and had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The location is excellent, situated in a quiet and safe area with plenty of great coffee shops and restaurants just a short walk away. The staff were absolutely fantastic—friendly, helpful, and always made us feel welcome. We stayed in the attic room, which was clean and cozy. It worked well for us, though taller guests might find the sloped ceiling a bit tricky in places. One of the two rooms has a bed on a raised deck, which adds character, but could be a bit dangerous at night—there’s a real risk of falling if you're not careful. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We'd gladly return!

The hotel itself is less impressive than the photos will make you believe, and it should be noted that the windows of the comfort suit cannot be open fully and comfortably as there are other residents' windows that look into the room. The room is clean and has all you need- it is just not as bright and flash-looking as the pictures will make you believe.

• Antonios (4/5): A disappointing stay in a misleadingly advertised room that offered none of the hotel experience promised in the photos. - The staff was extremely helpful. BEWARE: MISLEADING LISTING I booked a room at this hotel expecting a new hotel experience, as shown in the photos. The room turned out to be an apartment in an underground level of a random residential building on the same street. Although renovated and managed by the hotel, it was not located within the actual hotel building. The listing noted it was in the adjacent building and semi-basement, but what we got was quite different. This meant we experienced none of the amenities or ambiance from the advertised photos. I booked the specific hotel because I was looking for a hotel experience. In terms of price, it was priced similarly to the other regular hotel rooms at €150 per night. If I wanted to book a low budget underground airbnb apartment I would have opted for that at a fraction of the cost. The listing was misleading and felt borderline fraudulent.

The location is well situated to get around without being in the heart of the tourist district. The glass doors on the bathroom made it less than private.

• Raoul (4/5): - I was expecting much more than a room in semi basement when I booked at Sir Athens. It was really disappointing. Also, the quality of the breakfast included, served in a wooden box by a caterer as the hotel does not have a restaurant is very bad: cheese and ham in plastic wrap, warm/cold latte… nothing glamorous nor boutique style about that. The staff was very friendly and professional though, otherwise i would have given 1* only. But they were not on site but in their other hotel nearby.

We were rather disappointed by the room we were originally offered - billed as a Comfort Suite, but in fact, in a semi-basement (not advertised as such, unfortunately). We were moved after a day into a comparable room on the raised ground floor - much brighter and fresher. The location is excellent - lots of things within convenient walking distance.

The facilities and room was really incredible for the price — we didn’t expect it to be as nice and big as it was! The location is great - very central and you can walk everywhere. • Tali (10/5): Exceptional - A small and charming boutique hotel, in a quiet area compared to the hustle and bustle of Athens, we stayed for two weekends, when on the second weekend we were upgraded to a suite with a balcony and a hot tub in the hotel next door. The room we stayed in at the beginning of the holiday (3-star hotel) has small shortcomings (bathroom without any shelf, very small sink, mini bar that partially refrigerates...), but still the level is higher than average. The upgraded room is just perfect, with a large bathroom for a couple, a high ceiling, an excellent refrigerator and all the amenities of a 5-star hotel, except for an elevator that is missing because the building is historic and has been kept that way. The 2 hotels are great and we would love to stay in them again! The original idea of ​​the breakfast served in a box is lovely, I just recommend adding plates because it's a bit strange to eat in bed without a plate :)

• Nick (10/5): It was a pleasant surprise to be upgraded.Staff were all amazing, especially the rooftop bartender. - We arrived at Sir Athens and were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a partner hotel around the corner (Athens Flair). It was beautiful and staff were very helpful and accommodating. A little far from tourist attractions so had to walk a bit but we were aware of this as it was clearly stated on the booking information.
