Das WLAN funktionierte nicht im Zimmer (Nr. 204), sondern nur im Bereich der Lobby. Das Frühstück bot kaum Abwechslung und das Essen wurde nur sporadisch nachgefüllt.

- Meaghan (7/5): - Fantastic location (especially across the street from the people mover), very kind staff, welcome glass of champagne was a lovely touch! Facilities are beautiful across all floors, my room was older fancy and bed was very comfortable. Shower was hot and had good pressure. Room size was fair - not huge but not a matchbox either. Soundproofing was nearly non-existent. My room was on the second floor right off the stairs and I could hear the downstairs live music as clearly as if I was down there. I wanted to go to bed somewhat early but at least it stopped by midnight (and yes I sleep with earplugs in hotels). Also the type of place where you can hear creaky footsteps and other guests talking in the halls/stairs. "Breakfast" was lame - I think I grabbed a yogurt and took it to my room. It's fine if you get it for free with your stay but best to go elsewhere. I will admit that I am not well-versed in what the market rate for Detroit parking is. I think valet was $35-40 per night and self-parking in the back was also around the same price. I think the parking attendant for self-park cut me a slight rate at hearing the disdain in my voice at the price, lol. You also cannot go through the back of the hotel to get to the parking spot, you must leave out the front and go around the block. Despite my dislikes being more clearly outlined than the likes, it was still an overall good stay here.

- Brad (6/5): We will be back. But we’ll make sure everything is better. - The location is perfect for anything you’re doing downtown. The bar is always a big hit. And the saltwater grotto in the morning is our favorite. The heat was stuck on in the room and it never got below 83 all night so neither one of us slept. I also did the booking throughbooking.com. And was charged $35 more on my way out of the hotel.

Eine Clubgebühr von 25€ kommt noch oben drauf. Es gab eine bedingt gute Einführung was inkludiert ist. Die Bedingungen besagen, das Fotos und Videos im Hotel nicht erlaubt sind.

The salt water grotto was so serene, the staff was friendly, and every room had something special to offer. From the old-fashioned phone booths, the chandeliers, the bar, the restaurant, the elevator, the staircase. We loved it all! I would not recommend their breakfast, but I wasn’t bothered by it not being great because everything else exceeded expectations. Go to The Hudson Cafe for breakfast instead!

- Gilles (4/5): Pas top chercher ailleurs - L’emplacement. Le personnel n’est pas très accueillant, voir même absent. Peu de client dans l’hôtel. Il ne faut pas arriver avant l’heure car même si il n’y avait que 4 couples dans tous l’hôtel vous n’aurez pas votre chambre avant l’heure et il vous le font bien comprendre. Vous n’avez pas pris l’option sourire. Hotel un peu glauque pas très lumineux et surtout interdit de prendre des photos de l’hôtel du m’importe quoi. Pour un hôtel le client n’est rien juste un tiroir caisse. Chercher ailleurs c’est mieux et pour le même prix vous avez un accueil chaleureux.

- Chelsie (8/5): Over all great - The room was great. The bed frame had a break as well as the bench at the end of the bed. Unfortunately the spa and all amenities (bar, restaurant, lounge) were closed during our stay. The environment was classy. Loved the jacuzzi in our room. The linens were the most amazing I’ve ever experienced. Clean.

- Jessica (8/5): - We came for the spa but the grotto was closed for renovations when we got there. Room was nice especially the bathroom but bed was hot (mattress protector), broken cabinet pull, and no coffee in room. Continental breakfast was great though and interior is very unique

- Christopher (9/5): Great Historical Boutique Hotel - It’s a historical boutique hotel with great A/C, comfortable beds, and a large modern bathroom. The spa area was small but nice with great service. Food and cocktails were very good. I liked the location as the people mover aka elevated train takes you to the heart of every downtown neighborhood like Greektown, Cadillac Center, etc. near many great restaurants and bars and close enough for the baseball stadium. Getting an Uber was usually less than 5 minutes and no issues. The building is extremely well preserved and overall a pleasant stay. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Outside noise levels to me were not bad as in some reviews but mostly due to the older windows. Breakfast is a cold bar and warm egg frittatas, really provided as a complimentary expanded coffee bar. I can see where guests, especially Europeans expect more. There is one of the better downtown breakfast spots a block away Dime Store/Dime Building.

- Heather (10/5): Beautiful historic and comfortable - My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The hotel was beautiful. I loved the history behind the building. We really enjoyed the bar in the library with live music on Saturday night. The room was clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back!

- Shane (10/5): - My stay at The Detroit Club was fantastic. Check in was smooth and the spa suite was clean as well. The location next to the People Mover also made this property such a great place to stay. They have a restaurant on the premises but I did not have the chance to eat there but it smelled good at least. I did eat at the Anchor bar which was like a 3 minute walk away from the hotel. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Detroit.

- Sarah (8/5): Very good - The character of the hotel was fantastic. The staff were very friendly. The location was perfect (the People Mover stops right outside the hotel). The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. We were on a girls trip and really looking forward to soaking in the salt water grotto, but it was closed for maintenance, and that information wasn’t posted anywhere. Nor were we informed until I asked about the grotto.

- Sandi (10/5): Exceptional - large room, comfortable bed, clean, nicely updated bathroom hotel itself is beautifully appointed and takes you back in time my room was across from a parking garage that had a beeping noise that occurred several times throughout the night
- Steve (10/5): Our stay was midweek and was a fantastic place for us. Not a boring chain room but a very well done renovation of an old - The history, the decor, the staff, the location, the boutique hotel vibe. The food we had was exceptional. The late check out option seems to be not an option, we were told 50.00 an hour but understanding that might fluctuate depending occupancy seems excessive
