We didn't have breakfast in the reservation but there is a small kitchen, available free for all the guest, with croissant, coffee, tea, nutella, jam. I have never experienced something like this before. Housekeeping, clean towels everyday.

• Maike Oey (10/5): Fantastisch und jederzeit wieder! Vielen Dank! - Fantastisch! Eine romantische Kulisse, einfache Kommunikation, so sauber, dass selbst meine Oma zufrieden gewesen wäre. Die Zimmer haben eine großzügige Größe, die Badezimmer sind mit Fön und allem was man sonst so braucht ausgestattet. Wir haben uns geärgert, dass wir nicht länger gebucht hatten. Auch für Pärchengruppen sehr zu empfehlen, im Vorraum kann man nett sitzen und einen frischen Kaffee oder Cappucino aus der Nespresso Delonghi Maschine genießen! Das einzige kleine Manko waren die Decken, wir sind aus Deutschland natürlicherweise stetig kaltes Wetter gewohnt, in Italien ist das etwas anders, dementsprechend gab es nur dünnere Decken, die man doppelt legen musste. Man hätte aber sicher nach einer richtig dicken Bettdecke fragen können, wir waren aber nur so kurz da, dass es sich nicht lohnte.

• Philip (10/5): Great location right at the centre of this beauthiful historical town - Excellent location at the heart of an amazing historical town. The host was amazing - particularly on our departure when he personally led us through the back streets to avoid road closures due to a market and festival. Rooms were large, well appointed and spotless. Breakfast at the cafe next door was very reasonable and very good. Absolutely nothing.

A szoba modern, patika tiszta,minden nap tiszta törölköző. A tulajdonos kedves,előre írt üzenetet, (angolul) merre tervezzünk GPS el, már a kis téren várt minket. Reggeli nincsen az árban, de a kis közös teakonyhában tea, kávé apró süti bármikor elérhető. A parkolás ingyenes a tulajdonos kártyájával. Bérelt autóval az összes környéki várost bejártuk innen. Nem volt ilyen.

Vous êtes bercé par le tintement des cloches des multiples églises. À environ 30 min de Matera en voiture. Antonio est très sympathique et nous a conseillé qq restaurant dans son village. Le petit déjeuner se prend à la terrasse du café, le personnel y est très agréable également !!!! Rien, tout est parfait!!!!

Parking outside. Montescaglioso is an old hill town and the streets are very narrow, the address is quite hard to find but the host had emailed directions and we also had to call him.

The old square where the apartment is located (ner tha abbey) is very nice. If you want to go to the nearby Matera is about 20 minutes by car. -

There are also some packaged croissants for free and biscuits and marmelade. Room was spacious and very nice. People were super friendly and helpful. Parking is included but a bit challenging as there are not always spots but we managed fine. Great location to see Matera! Nothing!

• Éamonn (10/5): A lovely B&B with a fabulous room. - The house was beautifully situated and the room was magnificent. The staff we met were very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was in a lovely (30m) nearby cafe where staff were very obliging. It was great.
• Václav (10/5): Exceptional - Montescaglioso is a charming and authentic town worth a visit by it's own. It is also a good base to go to Matera, Craco or even to the sea. Regarding the accomodation: there wasn't a single thing wrong. The room was big, the bed was comfortable (on the firmer side, just as I like) and big enough for my 199 cm long body. Everything was very clean. The parking lot is guite big and is right behind the building. It can be crowded at times, but we have always found a spot. To reach the property by car, you need to drive trough most of Montescaglioso. The only good way is trought Piazza Roma and then Corso dela Republicca. We were provided good instructions before our arrival. Last but not least: Antonio, the host is a very nice and helpful person. He even escorted us to a car repair shop to have our tire presure checked. Great experience, we hope to be back some time. I know it is strange, but there realy wasn't anything wrong.
• Diletta (10/5): Great stay in Montescaglioso! - The property is great, amazingly located in the city of Montescaglioso. When you open the window you can enjoy the beautiful view in the square and it is like going back in time. Parkings are available close to the property, which is very practical. The room is spacious and clean, we enjoyed very much staying there. Antonio, (the host) is welcoming and available for any help you need. We will definitely come back to Foresteria dell’Abbazia!

Easy, free parking just outside the rear entrance. Lovely hosts & snacks available in the communal dining area. Breakfast available at the cafe just around the corner - we also had a good, simple dinner at the same cafe.

Cleanliness was exceptional, morning views from the nearby city walls- breathtaking. Absolute gem! The only minor issue was the noise of local youngsters hanging out late night at the plaza in front of the appartment. But it was saturday evening and it is small Italian town ;)

• Elizabeth (10/5): A gem! Lovely room and outdoor terrace with a view in beautiful hilltop town... - We loved this gorgeous little hilltop town. And the accommodation beside the Abbey! Everything was sparkling clean and a very high standard. The hosts have an eye for detail and the spacious room, kitchen area and outside terrace with flower pots and view was just such a pleasure to enjoy. Parking was right outside the door. Instead of dining out we walked to the nearby supermarket and bought ham, tomatoes, cheese, grapes and melon and enjoyed it on the terrace. A lovely night in Montescaglioso thank you. -

• Georgios (9/5): Superb - Foresteria is located in an amazing building that overlooks the piazza Cavalieri. When we informed Antonio, the owner, that we were about to arrive, when we got there he was already waiting for us so he could make sure we had a parking spot in front of the building. The room was really clean and spacious. It gets cleaned every day. Would highly recommend. The air conditioning doesn't cut it for the size and the location of the room. No matter how much we let it on, the room didn't seem to drop the temperature.
