Guest Reviews
- Arlagadda (6/5): -
- hopkins (10/5): lovely studio flat.Lock to door is a little tricky though - na
- Martin (9/5): Superb -
- Judith (5/5): Good location - close to transport. Very basic. Smells musty. Grill, oven, bathroom fan do not work. - Choose property because it was self- catering and had easy transport by bus and train to Victoria Coach Station where our tours started. Bus was within walking distance. Supermarket and pub within walking distance.
Washing machine, microwave worked. Good size fridge - older model with freezer compartment. Bed comfortable with clean sheets. Limited linen - one towel each, one hand towel for two people. Table & chairs for 4 people, couch, TV and WiFi. 1. Shower had build up of soap scum along door track.
2. Bathroom fan did not work - flat smelt musty.
3. Toilet seat broken / loose - moved when used.
4. Grill did not heat sufficiently to toast/ grill items.
5. Oven did not work - we tried to follow using instruction book.
6. Floor uneven due to wood planks being made to fit.
7. Broken outdoor furniture.
8. External gutters overgrown with weeds as was the pavers outside.
9. No tea towels.
10. BYO everything - some washing detergent supplied.
- Smith (3/5): Position excellent but property needs a lot of attention to bring it up to the advertised standard. - Didn’t have breakfast No tea towels. No dish cloth. No microwave dishes.
No oven dishes. No extra linen to change towels or bedding. No drying facilities for laundry. No useable outdoor furniture that was clean or not broken. Outdoor area was unkept, many dead pot plants. Entrance to property clutter with household rubbish.
- Rahul (10/5): will stay again - grt layout. all utilities in place. very well planned.
- Alistair (5/5): Great location but in need of a lot of maintenance - Picked location due to convenience. Stayed previously but had an issue where previous guests had taken keys with them. Gave the place a second chance, arrived 9pm in the rain and someone had changed the code on the keybox (fortunately the locksmith lived nearby). Staff at PillowPartners were very courteous. Someone had changed the keybox code. The front door to the main property hadn't been closed properly so fortunately I could keep dry while waiting for the locksmith but gave me concerns for security.
Some of the furniture is starting to fall apart (flatpack bookshelves). The flooring looks to have been installed by amateurs with gaps between some boards. Modern shower but temperature dial doesn't work properly (i.e. stuck on high temperature) and leaking internally (water streaming from the wall mounted unit). The motion sensitive light to the courtyard area doesn't work.
I understand the owners had checked the property 2 days previously and heating had been turned off. Would have been nice if it had at least been set to a timer that it wasn't freezing when I arrived.
- Phillip (5/5): would have been much nicer with a quality bed and clean smelling studio - good location, plenty of space inside studio bed was very uncomfortable, the mattress was very soft and a cheap mattress with no support. we rolled into each other in the middle of the bed all night and we are not big heavy people. studio also smelt damp and we had to have the door and windows open to improve the smell.
- Alistair (9/5): Lovely self-contained annexe very close to Battersea Bridge - Location perfect. Kept informed throughout the process when trying to get access but where previous guests had taken the key with them (booking company arranged for locksmiths). Good shower.
Liked the additional finishing touches (plants, cushions, board games/books etc) Some of the light fittings are missing bulbs/not working (labelled by previous guests/maintenance?) but current lighting more than sufficient. The microwave control dial is a bit haphazard but got the correct cooking time eventually. The keybox door is a little stiff (needs to be pried open when pulling the lever down). There was an incident where the previous guests had taken the key, but promptly resolved. There was a kitchen waste bin, but no recycling facilities.
- Marvin (3/5): Wasted money, go elsewhere for you money. This was not a good stay - I liked that the annex was warm. Security - I could not lock my door to the annex!!! The key had purposely been jammed into the lock. My 9 year old son joined me during the stay and I was worried for his safety. The door to the main house locked. But the personal in the house had free access to the annex and my contents. This did not allow me to feel safe for myself my so. Or my contents. I booked a two night stay and only stayed for one night that’s how uneasy I felt. I suggest this is sorted out asap. I should be able to lock my contents from the outside world including the host.
Structure - The flooring is shocking. I feel sorry for the host, the builder did not know what they were doing. Due to a poor substructure the laid floor is bowing in places and the wood looks hideous. Gaps have appeared and wood has been stuck down with glue.
Additional - no tea coffee or sugar provided. My wife booked a town house in sw3 literally across the river for £660 for two nights. She had a 3 storey building three bathroom and 2 bedrooms. Secure front door and yea coffee provided. She stayed the exact same days as I did and was closer to Chelsea high street.
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good - it was very difficult to contact staff. I wasn’t given any information about how to access the flat. Before checkout I asked three times for procedures to leave and never got a response.
- Kirsten (8/5): - Very well positioned for public transport
- Gladys (4/5): Disappointing - There was only 1 set of towel for 2 people.
An additional set was brought 2 days before check out
The WIFI was not working and it could not be fixed until the day before check out, as it seems no one was available for 4 days!
Managing touristic accommodation in London, It is an extremely bad customer experience to have to wait the end of the stay (5 nights).
- Lowri (7/5): Lovely location, I highly recommend the French restaurant just a 5 minute walk away. I’d stay again. - Nice studio which felt safe
- Artjomenko (8/5): Nice and cozy place to stay for affordable price. - Comfort and silence.
Easy to get to lots of locations. there were problems with lock to apartment - it wasn't easy to lock-unlock the door each time.
- Robert (6/5): Cheaply priced, pay the extra $ for Downtown - Get place to stay if your trying to save money. Close to the tube and downtown, full kitchen with wash/dryer.
Bed is ok, clean sheets and bath room.
Noise upstairs neighbors, or poor noise insulation from old building.
Right off the main strip and off the tube, so it’s very noise.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Not worth it!
