• Charlotte (3/5): Over priced and over hyped - The bath and bed were nice and room spacious. Breakfast was completely inadequate, really cold, hard and tough couldn't eat it. For the price of the stay I was really shocked fed this back at the end of the stay and just got a shrug of the shoulders. No mirror at dressing table in room.

• Hayley (10/5): Absolutely fabulous, you will not be disappointed .... - Absolutely fabulous place to stay. The staff (Elliott & Kim) were wonderful and so very welcoming and attentive. The food was sensational, huge credit to the amazing chefs and the room was outstanding. Huge copper bath, loved the names of all the rooms, decor was stunning, they really have thought of everything (oh except the rooms should have a fresh decaf coffee bag) Faultless... so didn't like having to leave! We arrived late and had to leave the morning for work, would love to stay a few nights next time and will definitely be back...

• Lisa (6/5): We were really looking forward to this break together 30 years and our 12th wedding anniversary as well, the issues may - Lovely location, and offering the facilities! Set up great and cannot fault where it is, bar, restaurant and room facilities.. The room wasn’t clean, a lot of dust and stained items; the curtains didn’t fully close so it was bright come morning, the room bath tub drained of water quickly despite the plug being down and the main problem was the bathroom door didn’t close properly so opened up on its own the lock didn’t engage! All issues were reported to the hotel so hopefully resolved for the next guests!

• Michael (4/5): First impressions count - Very comfortable bed First impressions count , we arrived at 1.30pm and headed to the bar for a drink. Myself and my wife are the only customers in the bar and I asked the barman if I could watch a football match. He said I couldn’t as he was watching another channel. I was quite taken aback as he is working and I’m a paying customer. He said we could find the game on at a pub down the road.

Only small but some of the plug sockets were placed where you couldn't use them and there wasnt a socket near a mirror.

• Ian (10/5): If you never stay but are passing through Sedgefield, go take a beer, meal and I assure you that your day will be improv - Quaintness and decor with a singular theme of “Pigs” yes you did read that right could only make us laugh and smile at the same time. This venue has had money lavished on it and it was easy to see that somebody really cared for the business. It’s central to the town with parking and I couldn’t recommend it higher. Trying hard to think but nothing comes to mind.

• Clare (10/5): Amazing room - We had an amazing stay. Our room was brilliant looking over the village green, it was very spacious and has everything we needed. We had an evening meal and breakfast during our stay. Both meals were very well presented and tasted delicious. All of the staff were very attentive and made our stay relaxed and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and will be back for food soon.

• Keith (9/5): Enjoyed but could have been more enjoyable - Great experience good food and friendly The aircon was not working and staff said they could not fix it when they looked at it .shame as it was really hot and my wife had cancer treatment recently and part of her medication leaves her really hot at night we were offered a fan but was of no use in such a large apartment.

Room was clean Service in the restaurant was not the best. Took a long time for our drinks order, food was brought to the table which wasn’t ours and just felt the service was below par. Drinks were taken off the bill to compensate.
• Natasha (10/5): Stunning getaway with the best tub. - We loved that everything was easily accessible, the bar/restaurant was stunning and the staff were all super friendly and accommodating. We requested a room with a big round tub and was granted this beforehand. We slept really well after a lovely meal in a massive cosy bed. We are definitely going to return in the future. Everything was great, the one (tiny) thing would be that the room would get dusty overnight, and we could see dust particles coming off the velvet wall when we woke up. I assume this is difficult to avoid with fabric walls. There was also glitter in the bottom of the tub so we had to get in and clean it before having a bath that was glitter free.
• Lee (10/5): - We had a gorgeous stay at the Impeccable Pig, we booked for a birthday treat. It is by far the best place we've ever stayed. Everything was fabulous, the pub, restaurant, outdoor areas and the room. We got a deal which included £35pp towards the evening meal and breakfast too. The menu was plentiful and varied, my wife is vegetarian and she sometimes struggles with choices but there was no issue at all. Nothing that we didn't like.

Lasts occasion bathroom door detached itself making opening or closing almost impossible without lifting door.when I reported it no apology or anything . Very expensive for value not very well kept rooms or outside decor.

• Sarah (5/5): Comfy bed great bath in room. Good Sunday dinner but not much to do. - The bath in the room was good crack it was huge. Comfy big bed. We were both so ill during the night and in the morning as the dust was crazy in the room. We didn’t know why until morning when the sun shone in and we could see the room was just filled with dust and fluff that we were breathing. Our phones were covered in a thick layer when we picked them up from being on the side table over night. It was very strange 2 days gone and I’m still sick. There was nothing to do in the area either we went to Middlesbrough Level X to pass some time before our Sunday dinner.

• COLIN (8/5): Some very good, some not so good, mainly very good - Super room, spacious quirky, huge tin bath which we both enjoyed, seperately I might add. Good sized bathroom with shower. The only issue was not cleanliness but dust in the room. I'm not saying it hadn't been dusted but there was dust flying around that settled on surfaces. Perhaps it's the nature of the room we were in but be aware if you are dust sensitive that may be an issue for you. There is an outside area with hot tub which we did not use. The food was really good, excellent choice at breakfast and dinner, every meal was cooked to a good standard. Overall service was good with a couple of exceptions. You can tell someone who has worked in establishments like this for a while. They are able to deal with people and have an air of confidence in managing situations, even difficult ones. The Immaculate Pig has a few of these types who were excellent, unfortunatley the one we encountered at dinner on the first night who wasn't. Initially she advised there was no booking for us, as we had booked at check in we knew there was. On being shown to a table we were given menus but not advised about the specials board which we only discovered later. The water we asked for didn't materialise and our order taken in an unprofessional manner. A slight issue was the bar after our meal. The first night it was fine but the second raucous and noisy as it is open to the public, we would have preferred a quiet reidents area. Overall we would have no hesitation in returning though.
