• GoPlaces47641119364 (2/5): I do not recommend this hotel at all — for the sake of your safety and your money - This hotel is very, very, very bad. They unfairly took 34,000 rubles from me, just because they claimed there was some dirt in the bathroom, even though we were a family. The hotel does not respect its guests at all, and it is not clean.
• nkadhim (4/5): Poor and disappointing service - The service at this hotel was the poorest I had across my two week stay in Russia . The rooms were not cleaned for two days in a row despite my notifying the staff, the staff were unhelpful when I asked them to help me make a restaurant reservation because I didn’t speak Russian . The breakfast I ordered took too long: the eggs came after the toast was cold and they were not as requested but the bigger issue is the staff is unapologetic and makes it feel like it is yours fault ! The hotel is badly placed for taxis also as there is nowhere to park in front . The rooms were comfortable but there was nowhere conditioner or cotton buds or basic items other than shampoo and shower gel. A poor experience : would not stay again.

Every member of staff was really friendly and helpful - Thanks the management team. I can definetly visit again without any doubt . Breakfast also was almost perfect- service foods too many options and tasty
• shammahr2024 (4/5): Bad experience - Very bad experience, there id no parking in front the hotel and no service to take care of the luggages you have to carry them by yourself to your room And the reception is on the third floor The cleaning id very bad and the are not providing iron .
• 290alalih (10/5): Moscow is perfect! - Russia and Moscow liked it very much The hotel is located in the center, the view is beautiful - the street, in the evening the lights are on. Service is good they put us hygienic shower in the room we see this for the first time. We decided to stay longer in Moscow and were given a 10% discount after registering with Penta Friend. there are a lot of people at breakfast but the food is good there are many shops around we will be back and looking forward to seeing them again
• Dawrath57 (4/5): Great location, comfortable, convienient but needs work - POSITIVE : location of hotel, size of breakfast hall, amazing bedroom sofas, comfy beds NEGATIVE : Monitor your housekeeping staff as they seem from my experience of my stay l not cleaning at all and alot of dirt and dust accumulate in the following areas 1. Dust on kettle 2. Alot of dust on phone - which means they don't clean the room phones. Alot of germs accumulate on phone mouth pieces 3. They didn't mop the floor of the bathroom for over 3 days. I cut myself and blood leaked onto the bathroom floor and it was never cleaned for over 3 days. We had to complain to reception This is to the management please monitor your team to ensure they are not avoiding their responsibilities when it comes to cleaning, are you aware how many germs accumulate on sneakers when walking back onto the room carpet. Service Reception staff was polite Food and beverage staff - you need to focus on the chef as he is very inflexible and demonstrated unwillingness to take a request to make cheese omelette and insisted that we take an omelette he cooked earlier. If your service doesn't include adding cheese on omelette it would be very wise to emphasise this however if you don't add cheese or other condiments then you are very behind in world standards when it comes to live stations. Once again please monitor the chef. The coffee table in the room is too large and limits movement space try in the future to add smaller coffee tables I have added pictures of where dust has gathered even though housekeeping visited our room they didn't clean it which is in itself disgusting but as hotel management you are paying staff but not to avoid their responsibilities and miss parts of their work. Please note they did offer to check after we complained and when they came we were not available at the time.
• Alireza_Samimi (10/5): Nicely located cosy hotel - I visited Moscow for the first time and chose this hotel based on my travel agent's suggestion considering the budget I gave them. I stayed for four nights. The location of the hotel is really good. You will have access to both Old Arbat Street and New Arbat Street. Old Arbat is a walking street full of restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops whre you can certainly get Matrushkas for friends and families! New Arbat is also full of shops and restaurants. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Arbat Metro Station (Subway) which is great because you can use Metroi in Moscow to go almost everywhere. I told the receptionist that I want a quiet room and I don't care for the view so she gave me a room overlooking an alley toward Old Arbat Street which also gave a nice view of the city especially at night. The room was really clean and the lighting was cosy. The heating system was good. I did not have my breakfast at the hotel and did not use the hotel gym. I cannot really make any complaint about this hotel.
• svenhoogeland (10/5): Wonderful room view - What I really liked was the view from the rooms and the cool common area. Like the restaurant, and the breakfast room. Perfect place for digital nomads. Would always come back here when visiting Moscow.

The rooms were all 5 star But most of all the staff are so professional and friendly The security man YURI is an unbelievable gentleman So friendly and welcoming. This individual makes you feel rite at home. He does beyond this highest standard while making you feel secure without realising it Can’t recommend highly enough Dean Doherty

I stayed there on my birthday and the staff brought me a beautiful plate with the name Penta in powdered sugar with a very beautifully sculpted chocolate dog and a birthday card. The best service of any hotel I've ever stayed at... I will continue to return to Pentahotel as my stay is always a pleasure at this hotel. 5 stars to the staff and hotel. Thank you for your incredible hospitality!

• ykoroleva (10/5): Great hotel for a short stay - We spent 3 nights at Penta and it was perfect for such a quick trip! Everything is very close, tons of restaurants within walking distance. The view from the room was amazing, we could see most of the sights from our window on the 11th floor. The hotel is very trendy and has a gaming room, bar and pool in the lobby-which is great to hang out after a long day of exploring the city. We had standard rooms which were great for this trip, but if we stayed longer I would recommend to book their bigger rooms.
• Rami-Faouzi (6/5): Wonderful location, Nice Hotel. Unfortunate situation - Had the pleasure to stay in this wonderful hotel for 2 days while visiting Moscow. The hotel location is absolutely wonderful, great rooms a bit smaller than expected but it’s worth it and definitely clean and taken care of. I had one small incident during my stay with the iron board. Unfortunately the staff was not very professional handling the situation. I have requested for an iron board from the room service and the staff was not able to allocate one as all their iron boards where occupied and when they did actually find one (after 2 hours) I got the iron without the board. I didn’t end up using as I was late for my dinner. Overall, the staff at that time was unprofessional on the way they handled the situation, but the manager the next day was quick in stepping in and trying to fix the situation.

• A-KLKN (8/5): Good location, very small room - Hotel has great location within 10-15 minutes walking distance to center and touristic areas. Product is new and contemporary. However space could be utilized better in rooms. I was booked Penta Plus room (not entery category) but room was very narrow. There was some unnecessary decorations which limit the space. Service is good, although Reception is always busy and they seem to be overloaded. Guests needs to wait long time sometimes to get assistance.

I hit the corners of the bed frame with my little toe 3 times during my stay. I was lucky wearing the socks when it happened. My partner was so lucky. She hurt her toe pretty bad. So, movie around the bed is not very safe for your toes;in those rooms:-) Other than that I like the hotel very very much!!! 5 stars!!!
• Albert (2/5): Awful hotel! - I had a terrible experience with this hotel. The most negative thing I can mention is the hotel’s rude and unfriendly workers, especially the front desk people who were also super unprofessional. I was traveling during the COVID pandemic and in Moscow all workers at businesses had to wear face masks to cover their mouths and noses. But for some reason the front desk people at the Pentahotel were wearing masks only half way, covering only the mouth. In general the hotel is very basic, I find the value I payed ($58 per night) overpriced. The only one positive thing is its location, which is in the center of Moscow and pretty close to the Red Square. I do not recommend this hotel for a stay.

The fridge isn't very cold and the shower doesn't have a door, just half covered by glass, so the floor was always like a lake after showering. Arbatskaya metro is 10 minutes to walk to.

• Ilona (10/5): - My husband and I stayed in this hotel for a week to enjoy Moscow for the New Year. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel. It was very clean and modern, and the rooms were comfortable and a good size. The king sized bed was a true king sized bed (something I find important to note, because some non-American hotels I’ve stayed at consider a queen sized bed as a king). With two large suitcases, we were able to find room to place them such that they were out of the way. The location is fantastic! A twenty minute walk to the Kremlin and Red Square, and multiple metro lines available through the Arbatskaya station a few minutes away. Both the Old and New Arbat streets have many restaurants and cafes to enjoy if you’re looking for something nearby. If you’re looking for a quick bite, don’t miss the Obed Buffet next door. Can’t speak to the food at the hotel though, with all the options nearby, we didn’t get a chance to eat here. My only warning is for travelers who enjoy unpacking for their stays - the rooms only have space to hang up clothes, but no drawers, so that necessitates living out of your suitcase. There was a luggage table available that fit one suitcase, but since we had two, the other we stowed on the floor in the corner by the desk. For folks arriving here by taxi, there is not a dedicated drop off, and access to the parking lot is 300 rub. The alternative is to be dropped off at the corner bar Zhiguli, and it’s an easy short walk from there.

The room design is great with the map on the wall, used it lots. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. We ate and drank in the bar which was very modern with a good atmosphere. The hotel is in a great location of Arbat, a popular tourist area. It is also quite close to the metro, so easy to get around the city. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke English well.

The shower barely worked for 3/4 days we were there (a warm trickle at best) and reddish brown water came out of the taps at regular occurrences like something out of a horror movie. If not for the water problem (which affected most of us) I would really rate this hotel highly.

• J (10/5): - The hotel decor was perfect; kinda understated retro industrial style. The bed was super comfy with crisp linens; I slept like a baby ! My room was facing the main road (New Arbat St) but when you close the windows, it's beautifully silent. The location is superb, and is within a bus ride or metro ride to anywhere. Arbatskaya Metro stn is about 600-700m away, the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Old Arbat St is right behind the hotel & is a 5 min walk. Fantastic hotel.

Only negatives were that the air didn't work super well, so when I arrived and the curtains were wide open with the sun coming in it took a long time to cool off. Also, note that there is no conditioner provided. I didn't ask though, since I had some. Perhaps they have available on request. Will happily stay next time I'm in Moscow. Don't pass on the breakfast!

• Verified traveler (6/5): - Hotel location is really good. It’s not far for the Metro and the Bus station. You are one the New Arbat street and 2 mins walking to the Old arbat as well. However, what I did not like it the customer service. And the room service was not That great to be honest. Also the rooms are not sound proof and not isolated from outside sounds such as Cars, busses and also rains! Note that My room was in a high floor and I booked the biggest room too. One of the things happened to me was they Ruined my Girlfriend’s skirts. The room didn’t have an Iron so i Called them and asked for one. However, the Iron that they gave was dirty and had marks that we didn’t see on the steel part. As soon as my girlfriend started Ironing her Skirt a black mark Appeared on the skirt. We called the front desk and explained what happened. One lady came after and Hour to see our situation. In the end they decided to clean the skirt for free. However the next day they brought the skirt Not Clean and they Ruined it!!! The leases were cut and the cotton was pealed off from the Skirt!!. Long story short, the didn’t fix it and they didn’t do anything about it Expedia offering us a free text to the train station which 5 mins away from the expensive skirt they ruined. I know it’s a long review, but i had to say everything just to let everything clear to everyone.

I do agree with one review the staff were a bit rude but not when I first arrived they were great just one particular guy when I went to eat around 1-2am ? Other than that everyone else was nice . • Paul (8/5): - Great value for money. I’ve stayed at pentahotel in other cities before so they’re up to standard in term of amenities and facilities. The bed is comfortable although I didn’t quite get the bed I requested for but that is okay. I only wish that I was informed upon check in that my bed request couldn’t be fulfilled and I would totally understand. The fact I was not informed about my request not being met and left me to be disappointed by myself upon arriving to the room made me a little unhappy. A little information to set proper expectation before arriving to the room would help. But overall it’s a great value for money and I didn’t get too mad about the bed. Still great value and great location.

• Verified traveler (2/5): - I had an absolutely terrible experience at Pentahotel Moscow, Arbat, Moscow. First of all, they refused to check in me and my wife because my international passport was not a valid document based on some government rules. Worth to mention that they do not have any list of valid documents anywhere. But even if for some reason they really weren't able to check me in, the way they handle this very uncomfortable and stressful situation was just awful. They did not even try to help us. They were saying "no" on whatever option we were trying to come with. After that, the hotel did not even cancel our reservation correctly, so we now have to handle the refund with Expedia by ourselves. At the end, we took a room in another hotel (they did not have any issues with my passport).
• Pedro Antonio (2/5): Thief philosophy hotel style - The hotel was nice and we were happy with the service until we decided to get an extra 2 nights room so we did not need to share one and while doing the booking at hotels.com we did close the app and when opened it again and finish the booking the dates were wrong. Immediately we did call hotels.com and told then about the mistake, 3 min after, the booking was for end of May instead of end of March, so 2 months away, time enough for the hotel to re book the room and not lose anything... but NO, no refunds possible and we had to suck it up to lose 180€ for a clear mistake. I understand hotels have such policies so people do not cancel just few days before... but 2 months?? And contacting them right 2 minutes after the mistake?? In my opinion this is a clear rovery and abuse of this type of policies. I expected hotels.com to be able to help but it was no possible. Amazing this can happen. Just because of this company thief philosopher I strongly recommend not to use this hotel.

• kenP (10/5): - There are a number of outstanding elements to this property. The staff were exceptional from first to last. Friendly, welcoming and very informative. Language was never a problem as they speak at least a dozen different languages as a group. I can't say enough about the service we received. The hotel is also in a great part of the city. It is walking distance to metro (10 minutes) and the Kremlin (20 minutes). There was a pub within 5 minutes and restaurants right next door. There is also a pedestrian mall right behind the hotel where we found a market type restaurant that served, breakfast, lunch and dinner at very reasonable cost. The mall was also great for souvenir shops and night entertainment. We were there for a wedding and had found a Georgian restaurant for the reception just 5 minute walk away. Again, great food and reasonable prices. The room itself was minimalist in style. Small but everything you would need. There is so much to do in Moscow that we were barely in the room except for sleep. The cleaning service may have been the only drawback, but it really was not all that bad. For the cost this is a great selection. Service, location, price. Overall an A plus.
• Pedro Antonio (2/5): Hotel with completely thiefs ethics - Not bad, but we decided to book two extra nights and by mistake chose the wrong dates. Immediately we did contact hotel.com to correct the mistake, obviously a genuine and innocent mistake pointed out just 2-4 min after booked, but the hotel refused to help in order to of course “steal” our money by keeping a wrong booking that we will never use. I mean... what kind of company ethics do they have? This just made our stay a totally disappointing experience.
