Which is getting rare in these days of 'zero interpersonal input' wanted by hotels/staff with guests. Just "give me your £££s money and leave"!🙊 In a very quiet, convenient location too.👍 My single room was adequate, but the sash windows need secondary sealed double glazing in 🍙Winter. My bed headboard was right up to the window and my head and shoulders froze in the night. I had to put a fan heater on the window ledge to keep the icy draught out. The guests beautiful t.v. lounge has the same cold 🌀, draughty old windows too.

Struggled with space . We had a lot of gear with us as swimming . Felt claustrophobic, and our taller guests we had brought with us just found it a real challenge. Small shower , but nice and hot. Top floor and no lift , but offers to help from staff. Would have liked pastries or muffins with breakfast as many places do that we stay. Same price as some hotels we stay at.

The place is spotless throughout. The rooms are also immaculate and the bed extremely comfortable. There is a lounge with sofas and a honesty bar where you can get a whisky, gin, wine or a beer, tick the sheet and pay on checkout. This a cosy place to sit especially with the Christmas tree up. The breakfast is also amazing, with all the normal choices available plus a few specials. I can bossy this is the best Bed and Breakfast style hotel I have ever stayed in. Superb. Nothing

- Patricia (5/5): Despite my comments the stay was quite reasonable, owners just need to spruce up the rooms and get back to award winning - Decent location, not far from town centre, really comfortable bed, excellent shower water pressure Boiler next to our room making a noise at 5am every morning, tiny wardrobe in room, not fit for a couple staying in winter months with a lot of luggage, mould on bathroom blind, breakfast very ordinary, bacon obviously cooked before any orders and kept warm turning it into rock, coffee machine having lukewarm coffee

- Alex (9/5): Very pleased with my choice and would reccomend - Very cosy , clean and warm :) The first bedroom with the toilet leak wasn’t ideal and it was very small and dated but the 2nd bedroom I was given once I mentioned the leak was great. Spacious, clean, warm and cosy :) The owner were very accommodating. The breakfast was lovley too!
- Simon (9/5): Excellent stay, comfortable and organised - Location is very handy for Keswick town centre. The welcome from Lucy was friendly and informative. My single room was comfortable and clean. The Christmas decorations added to the welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was comprehensive, with a specials board. I really can’t find any fault with The Edwardene. One small DIY tip in my particular case: the sink in my room (‘Lark’) is a bit bunged up.

Only realised on arrival (booking.com does this all the time and it’s quite misleading as filtering for car park should mean car park)

- Andrew (10/5): - Stayed at the Edwardene for three nights and was first class. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The double room was very clean and comfortable with everything you need. Now the breakfast menu was above and beyond,and everything is cooked fresh and first rate. This B&B is also only 2min walk into the town.
