• Max (8/5): Decent Bargin Hotel - I stayed at Hotel Kosk during my trip to Istanbul, this is not a posh chain hotel but delivers. The receptionist was polite and check-in was straightforward. The room was small but still a decent size, clean, and comfortable. It included a fridge with a freezer compartment, a TV, air con, and a clean bathroom with a shower. The location in Kadıköy was excellent. I specifically wanted to stay in a quieter part of Istanbul, and Kadıköy is a beautiful area right next to the Bosphorus. There are lovely parks nearby, scenic walking areas, and easy access to ferries. The area feels greener, calmer, and more relaxed compared to busier tourist parts of the city, while still being close to plenty of shops and restaurants. The Tepe Nautilus shopping centre is around 10 minutes away, and the metro is also within walking distance. Considering it is located in Kadıköy, it felt like a real bargain and offered the best of both worlds — a peaceful area while still being well connected to the rest of Istanbul. Breakfast was also included in the price, although I personally did not use the service. Turkey continues to impress me with its hospitality compared to the rest of Europe. Even at bargin affordable prices, hotels here often make a real effort to keep rooms clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Would I stay here again? Yes, definitely. The only small negative I noticed was that the toilet was wobbly, but aside from that I had a comfortable stay.

• Valerie (3/5): - Emplacement parfait et personnel sympathique Nous avions réservé une chambre avec lit double ( une évidence quand on est en couple ) et en arrivant on nous indique qu’il y a 2 lits simples. Voyant qu’on allait partir et annuler ils nous ont trouvé une chambre en 20 minutes ( on ne sait pas comment car l’hôtel était complet ). Sauf que cette chambre puait très très fort la cigarette et cela a été insupportable pendant les deux nuits: une telle odeur de tabac signifie que les matelas subissent le tabac depuis des années. Nous avons parlé à d’autres clients qui nous ont dit la même chose sur leur chambre. Et lorsque nous avons indiqué ce problème vraiment pénible ( et pourtant nous sommes fumeurs mais jamais nous fumons dans une chambre ) au personnel ils nous on juste répondu qu’ils étaient au courant. Je suis étonnée qu’aucun commentaire précédent ait indiqué ce problème car pour ma part je n’aurais pas réservé en connaissance de cause. C’est vraiment dommage!

Очень пахло гарью в номере, видимо, из-за соседства с хаммамом (мои окна на него выходили), когда пришла заселиться — на ресепшн никого не было, пришлось просто стоять и нажимать на звонок. Завтрак очень скудный, но есть все нужное.

• Katia (6/5): - - Очень дружелюбный персонал, разрешили остаться в номере до вечера. Приятный дворик, где можно посидеть вечером. Есть кухня , где в течение всего дня можно выпить чая или кофе. Очень маленький номер. Самое неприятное, это запах гари. Прямо под окнами находится труба Хамама, где топят углем. Даже с закрытыми окнами ощущение, что ты находишься в кочегарке.

Очень аутентичная веранда внизу, где можно завтракать. Завтрак вкусный, кофе чай 24/7, даже кексиком самоиспеченным угостили вечером. Мы очень довольны выбором отеля! Матрац жёсткий, спать комфортно.
• Gabriel (5/5): It is okay for 1 night only. - It is very central, and not very expensive. More expensive than other hotels with better quality. The room smelled like smoke, and was pretty tiny. Not the best value for money considering other experiences in Istanbul. Charged us twice, both at the check in, as well as our credit card. They acknowledged the mistake.

• Olena (7/5): Good authentic place. It feels a bit too pricey. Although the cheapest hotel in this district - The room was clean. The towels and linen very cristal white and clean. There was hot water in the shower. Breakfast was basic but filling. The only thing I couldn’t stand while I was there was the smell of cigarettes. Apparently someone was smoking in the bathroom downstairs because there was constant smell of smoking coming from the toilet. I couldn’t sleep with the window closed. Had to open the window and turn on the air con for heating.

• Anel (9/5): Stayed for only one night but i can't complain. Perfectly adequate stay. - I stayed for only one night and had to leave very early, so I can't review everything about the hotel. Well priced, perfectly fine room, staff was helpful and offered me an early breakfast to take with me but i declined. The location is quite good, not far from Kadiköy ferry station so you can reach most of Istanbul relatively easily. Also close to a very charming restaurant that i had a lot of fun with watching football! In my room, the toilet seat was close to the wall, and i am a very big guy - so i had to sit a bit angled to the side.

• Alexey (9/5): - Всё чисто и приятно. Обстановка далеко не новая, но ухоженная и подготовленная к встрече гостя. Это - Кадыкёй в 10-15 минутах от метро, но при этом чуть в стороне от самых шумных улиц, поэтому снаружи ночью вполне себе тихо. Большой ТЦ в 15-20 минутах пешком (или одна станция метро). Там же - Мармарай. Есть лифт. В декабре было не холодно. Персонал - супер. Отличный вариант для того, чтобы провести ночь перед полётом из Сабихи. Обычный минус отелей в таких зданиях - слышимость внутри здания.

Jest również problem z unoszącym się dymem papierosów z ogrodu do góry więc jeżeli latem zostawiasz otwarte okno po powrocie ze spaceru w twoim pokoju czuć papierosy.

• Yasar Can (7/5): Meget tilfreds, glæder mig til næste gang. - Morgenmaden var god, nogle af værelserne har pragfuldt udsigt til gaden og lidt kig til havet. Jeg er meget glad for området som stædigvæk besidder stemningen af gamle Istanbul. Samtidig ligger hotellet tæt på alle former for offentlig transport. Der er en lille gårdhave som er hyggelig og te maskinen er altid i gang. Det er anden gang jeg bor på dette hotel som er familie drevet. Jeg rejser altid alene og er kvinde så sikkerhed betyder meget, dette hotel er sikker for enlige kvinder. Personalet er enorm søde. I det hele taget er der en god og afslappet stemning. Det er anden gang jeg bor der hvilket tyder på at jeg er begejstret. Nogen gange skal man bare slappe af og nyde de uperfekte detaljer.

If I had to choose 3 negatives, I would go for one of the towels being clearly stained, the sub-par breakfast and the shower being way too small to have a proper shower without elbowing everything around me. I can’t see how the facilities and service justify any price higher than 20€/night.
• Kyriaki (4/5): Kindness isn't everything - Friendly and helpful hosts. I stayed in room 401, in the evening I couldn't breathe because of the neighbour's chimneys. There is no isolation in that room and the smoke gets inside. It was pristine clean and yet the smell was sometimes unbearable.

• Denis (8/5): Great Location within walking distance to almost everything in Kadikoy - Location was excellent to the Kadikoy areas. 5 minute walk to the Ferry Terminal and with 15 minutes walk to all the shops and Restaurants. Breakfast was your typical Turkish breakfast of olives, tomatoes, cucumbers and boiled eggs. Coffee/Tea/Water was available 24/7. The room was a little small with no working desk, but, who needs to work on vacation?? This is an old area, so expect luxury!! The steps to the main desk are steep, sorry no handicap entrance here.

The toilet was not properly glued to the floor so it moves slightly İt says 24/7 water, tea and coffee but on two occasions around midnight there was no tea. İt's not that big of a deal but it could say tea up untill 9pm or something

• Jovana (9/5): Superb - The location was amazing, near the bus station as well as the ferry station. Good connection with the rest of the city, yet in a very nice and calm area. There are several supermarkets, restaurants and bars around the hotel. There is a nice garden on the ground floor if the hotel, with free water, coffee and tea at any time of the day. Staff was very kind and helpful. Stairs that lead to the reception are kind of steep, difficult if you have a large suitcase.

• Allen (7/5): An affordable option in Kadikoy Istanbul - The location was great. This hotel is located on the Asian side of Istanbul, in the Kadikoy neighborhood. The hotel is within walking distance of a great night scene. There are many mid to higher end restaurants nearby that are open late with street dining available. Additionally, Kadikoy is a great shopping area and has a reputation for the many antique stores tucked away on the back streets of the neighborhood. The location is also great for other reasons. The metro nearby connects directly to Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) without the need to change metro trains. If you do not wish to take the metro, the direct airport bus "HAVAŞ" picks up and drops off a 5 to 10 minute walk from the hotel door (about 300TL per 1 person as of summer 2024). The boats connecting the Asian side of Istanbul to the European side are also very close, which again makes Kadikoy an attractive neighborhood for anyone wishing to have easy access to the whole city. The hotel itself is located on a quiet street across from residential apartments. The entrance to the hotel has steep steps, so for anyone with heavy luggage take this into consideration, and the building itself is quiet small, but this is standard for this old part of town. The breakfast was good and consisted of a standard Turkish array of: cucumber and tomato slices, two different types of cheese, black olives, and packets of honey, jam, butter, and cream cheese. Hard boiled eggs were also offered on a daily basis. The hotel offers unlimited tea, coffee, and water to guests in the kitchen area (24 hour access). The room was good. It was located on the 5th floor of the building (top floor), and did not have elevator access. A flight of stairs connects the 4th and 5th floors. The benefit of being on this floor was that the room offered an amazing view of the European side of Istanbul, at night the Hagia Sophia was very clear from the window. The hotel building itself is a traditional and old building. The doors are old wooden doors and echo quite loudly when other guests go in and out of their rooms at night or in the morning. This is common in Turkey, so it is not exactly a negative, just a point to be aware of at any hotel that is on the more traditional side. The dining area was quite small, and could feel cramped, this itself was not an issue, the main issue came from the access to the garden area in the back which would fill up with guests smoking. The smoke would often enter into the dining area which was very unpleasant. Again though, this is quite common in Turkey.

• Sophia (7/5): Ok for a budget hotel - It is a nice family run hotel. My flight was delayed and there was no way to get in touch, it would be helpful if they had answered the phones or had a WhatsApp number available. It is centrally located with everything round the corner and very friendly staff. They delivered me a new mattress during my stay, all the rooms got upgraded. They didn’t speak any English and apart from the younger man, the older staff were a little rude and didn’t try to engage. They were doing some building works and painting while I was there. The rooms were very small and very easy to hear the rooms next door. But with earplugs no problem. Breakfast was ok, boiled eggs, bread, meat, coffee, but would be nice to see some fruit and fruit juice. For a budget Hotel it isn’t bad. It was a shame that the garden and lounge was often filled with the Turkish staff so it wasn’t so easy to enjoy the space as a guest.

The location of the hotel is ideal, very close to the metro and the port, there is also a market, currency exchange, bakery, greengrocer nearby. Neat and clean place, and a garden has definitely won my heart. All in all, the best rating from me and I think I will come back again.

And I have to buy an air freshener spray to spray every day.... The staff doesn't smile... They went in and installed a shelf in my room against my will and broke my glass. But I had to leave my room key.
• Jn6n (7/5): Perfect Location and clean rooms - Rooms were clean and enough to have a comfortable stay. 7/24 open canteen with free coffee and tea at the ground floor was pretty good since we were 2 families we could hang out in the canteen. Staff was kind and helpful. Our room was facing the back of the building and there was a chimney of a Turkish hammam, the smell was nice even if the windows were closed the room smelled.
