• Irma (8/5): Leuke accomodatie! - De accomodatie is dus inderdaad een huisje in de achtertuin. Het is allemaal wat klein en sommige dingen gedateerd maar alles is aanwezig. Bedden waren ok. Goede communicatie met eigenaar. S'avonds hebben we nog even lekker in de Hot tub gezeten. Goede locatie om vanuit in 1 dag de golden cirkel te rijden. Voor ontbijt kan je naar de Almar Bakari gaan aan het begin van het dorp. Matkráin is een leuk restaurantje. Voldeed aan onze verwachtingen.

• Natalia (10/5): Perfect getaway not far from the city. - Everything :-) The double bed mattress was a little too wobbly for us; but it is a matter of personal preference.
• Daniel (10/5): Family Iceland Trip - Beautiful cosy cabin. Perfect location for exploring Iceland and also has plenty of amenities within the town. We didn't use the sauna but enjoyed the hot tub after a long day. Beds were comfy. Sofa bed comfortably fit 2 kids (age 8 and 12). Shower was nice and powerful with shampoo/body wash provided. Coffee machine set us up nicely each day! This is me being very picky but larger coffee mugs and drinking glasses would be useful. Other than that everything else was faultless.

• Gadi (9/5): - Very good cabin. We were a family of 4 and there’s was enough room for all of us, though there are only 3 beds (our daughters are 6 and 9 and they slept in the same bed). Waking up on the morning for a scene full of snow was magical
• Jarmila (10/5): Skvělé a doporučuju - Lokalita, pohodlí, parkování, klid, možnost vykoupat se v kádi s termální vodou (Hot tub), možnost sauny (člověk si musí sám zatopit a saunu vytopit pomocí dřeva). Super vzdálenost do zajímavých destinací. Pro 4 denní pobyt ideální lokalita pro vyjíždky do okolí. Vše hostilem perfektně vysvětleno. Příjemné teplo v chatě. Dostatečné vybavení kuchyně - koření, sůl, čaj, káva k dispozici. Mohli být poklice na hrnce a nějaká konvice na čaj + cukr. Není to negativní reakce. Pouze doporučení na zlepšení. Škoda, že nebyl QR kód pro příspěvek na dřevo na saunu (neměli jsme jako cizinci žádné islandské koruny a v obchodě jsme dřevo nenašli, abychom přispěli). Poslední den hodně sněžilo a střesním oknem v obýváku kapala voda na gauč (možná majitel ani neví). Zadní dveře z chatky se hůře zamykaly. Jinak vše naprosto super!!!

• Katharina (9/5): - Uns hat der Stil des schönen Ferienhauses total gut gefallen. Die Ausstattung ist toll zusammengestellt. Da hat sich jemand richtig Gedanken gemacht. Außerdem ist der Hotspot und der Garten schön. Es ist auch richtig ruhig und idyllisch. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Und auf Anfrage wurde uns schnell und freundlich geholfen. Auch das Bad ist toll. Leider muss man bei der Duschtür sehr aufpassen, dass man nicht das Bad überflutet. Wenn man das weiß, geht es aber. Vielleicht kann das in Zukunft angepasst werden.
• Felix (10/5): Tolles Ferienhaus - Ein tolles, großes Ferienhaus mit allem was man braucht. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Es gibt eine Sauna und einen Hot Pot. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen! Haben hier zum ersten Mal Nordlichter gesehen. Einfach unglaublich schön!

The cottage is build and decorated with so much love, you immediately feel cozy & at home. The garden is a masterpiece and a big plus is the hot tub and beautiful sauna! I also got to make friends with their cute cat ;)

The little house is cozy and, in our opinion, comfortable enough even for 2 adults and 3 older children (we don’t spend our days inside anyway). The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is sufficient for preparing basic holiday meals. What we enjoyed the most was the wellness area with the bathtub and sauna. The host responded to all our questions immediately and willingly. Highly recommended. Nothing

• Brittany (10/5): Lovely cabin for a relaxing stay for two - perfect for exploring the Golden Circle - We loved everything about this cabin. We were in the Turquoise cabin. The location was the perfect base for exploring the Golden Circle and the neighbouring Selfoss. It was also convenient to Keflavik Airport as well as Reykjavik. In the town, there are restaurants, cafes, bars, grocery shops and petrol stations if you just want to hang about the village. We walked to the brewery our first night - everything’s within a 10-15 minute walk. There’s also some hiking and thermal springs close by (we didn’t get to dip in the springs because we ran out of daylight). On to the property - it was like being home and living near a friendly neighbour. It felt very private and the cabin was very warm in freezing temperatures. (once we identified the one window that was left on breathe!) There was everything we needed for cooking/eating and the coffee machine was a bonus. There’s no cable TV, but that was perfectly fine - we just cosied up to some Netflix movies at the end of the day (when we weren’t in the sauna or hot tub). The bathroom was spacious and clean and soap, etc. was available, which was unexpected and handy. The bedroom was comfortable for the both of us. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we sleep like babies the entire stay. Our favourite parts of our stay were the sauna and hot tub. We enjoyed a couple of sauna sessions during our stay and spent a few nights in the hot tub. On our last night, we were slightly bummed that we didn’t see the northern lights and around the time we were thinking to get out, they appeared and put on the most beautiful show. We didn’t have our cameras, but it’s a memory that will live with us for a long time. Last, but not least, the hosts were incredible and friendly and available when we needed them. They were also very communicative before and during our stay. We’ve been considering a second trip when the weather improves, and if we’re down that way, we Weill certainly stay in the Backyard Village again. Can’t fault the property at all.

We ran into the host when we got there, but even if we didn’t, it would have been very easy to get in with their instructions. Nothing. It was great. • Mark (6/5): Nice but smaller than we expected. - Amazing location, clean. Small. Not really big enough for a couple with children aged 11 and 13. There’s a bunk above a tiny double bed, and a sofa bed in the living room.

• Petra (10/5): Brilliant. - Perfect location - short distance to restaurants, bakery, grocery shop and to thermal spring too. Hosts were super nice and helpful. There is also a sauna and hot tube available for guests to use. This property is children friendly and safe.
• Bhavesh (9/5): Excellent cottage in Hveragerdi - Cozy cottage that has a single room that can sleep three and a sofa bed that can sleep 1 person. The bedding was excellent as were the kitchen facilities. The laundry room was a real life saviour and the friendly cat was very welcoming and a good distraction Nothing as such. All facilities were good. Possibly add more mugs and bowls

We can definitely recomend this accomodation! The only improvement we could see is to equip the cabin with valves in each room and a exhaust fan in the shower. It got very foggy on the windows. Hard to get towels and clothes dry.

• Gerard (9/5): Superb - Our host Oskar was incredibly helpful and responsive to our inquiries and requests. We did a self-drive trip in January and the location was a perfect base for visiting the sights of the Golden Circle and daytripping to Reykjavik, whilst the town itself had a supermarket for our self-catering needs as well as some lovely restaurants. The sauna and hot tub were the icing on the cake. We couldn't have asked for more from our accommodation for our first trip to Iceland and we hope to return in the warmer/brighter months to explore the thermal valley of Hveragerdi.

• Agostinho (10/5): Very nice place! - This flat is located in the backyard of the owner's house and is very nice. The house is very well maintained, has everything needs, with space. Internet is good. The kitchen appliances are of very good quality and all works fine. The owners are a young couple and were very nice to us! (Thank you once again!) We regret to have only came in late and had no chance to tray the sauna.
