• Cameron (9/5): Great place! Recommended - Great location and price. Very kind and considerate staff. The pillows were a somewhat hard, and it was a little difficult to sleep in the summer with no A/C.

Location was a short 10-15 minute walk from the main town resort, lifts, and restaurants - it was super convenient that there were free shuttles for guests, a great little perk for when you've had a day on the slopes and can't be bothered walking back. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. It was a little frustrating being woken up at 8am each day by the hard wood floor in the hallway being vacuumed - it might be worth waiting to do this until after check out time. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were very hard and I struggled to sleep because of it. Lastly, I think it is quite inconvenient that luggage storage isn't allowed on arrival or check out days.

I left my boards outside by accident for 5 minutes and when I went to get them she alread - Close to the lifts only used the free shuttle provided on the last day to get all the luggage down in a blizzard but the walk is beautiful Charlie the pony and his friend the goat along the way was a real hit with my daughter Nothing it’s awesome Photo is view from windows

• Eri (10/5): Big rooms with well prepared services! - It had more than it explains - towels are daily changed, also many amenities! And most important - the room is big enough to open luggage, hang the ski clothes but yet relax. Another room for cooking / eating in a big room (shared) They also accept the luggage delivery in advance When I spoke to the owner, who is every morning there to organise the transport and cleaning, and when someone checks in. If you are traveling with bus, try to book all in advance! For this price performance, I should not really complain, but the mattress is rather well used. So do not expect luxurious sleep, but anyways it is a hostel and it was absolutely doable :)
• Yi (9/5): Superb - A 10-15 mins walk to the resort centre at this price is excellent, private toilet and bathroom at each room even a single bed room. The owner is so nice, she called a van to pick my luggage back to room in the morning right after i arrived by bus so that i can enjoy the slope before check-in time and pick me up in the evening back to the lodge and check-in. Pick-up van to and from the slope is available at certain time. Room is clean and tidy. It would be perfect if there is at least one night shuttle bus service after 7：00pm.

• Gloria (7/5): Small lodge near resort - Affordable lodging near ski resort. Quiet setting and clean room with morning and afternoon shuttle service to the resort. Breakfast is only available for early risers before 7:30 AM Very small bathroom

• Shuli (10/5): Exceptional - Very good price, very friendly innkeeper and drivers. There’s a shuttle bus that takes us to the slope (less than 5 min drive away) that runs at 8, 815, 830, 845, 9, 930 every morning and then one back at 4 and 430pm. If you miss the bus you can walk, it’s not too far if the weather is ok. About a 5-10 min walk. We took a bus from the airport to rusutsu resort and were picked up by the lodge shuttle. Rusutsu is not a very happening place après ski wise so we mostly just had konbini dinners. You can dine at rusutsu resort also if you wish, the restaurants open quite late and there’s a bar with live jazz as well The bathroom smelled a bit musty on the first day but once we used it it became ok.
• Helen (9/5): Highly recommend, and hope to be back! - Warm and cosy, even by Western standards. Large room with own fridge, which wasn’t noisy!, great shower, helpful host, very handy kitchen and dining area for guests, which had toaster oven, microwave, and electric cooktop. Great location, and a shuttle to the resort if you didn’t want to walk or drive yourself. Beds were a little on the hard side, and doonas could have been a tiny bit thicker.

• Vanessa (8/5): Lovely spot with hospitable owner. - It was a lovely stay and the rooms were spacious for Japan standards. It is a 10 - 15-minute walk to the lifts, and they only had two shuttles coming back in the afternoon. More shuttles to and from the resort would be great, especially as they didn't have an onsen or restaurant, so you needed to go out to eat.

• Brenda (10/5): Exceptional - The owner was lovely and very attentive and anticipatory of guest needs. The place was clean and well kept. Really appreciated the shuttles to the resort when in full snow gear. Most of the time I went to the resort onsen to shower and soak, but the one time I used the bathroom shower it smelled funky for the remainder of my stay, not sure if I did something wrong or something moisture related. Not a deal breaker though given the savings!!

• Faridah (10/5): A pretty place to stay. - The room is big and comfortable and has a pretty view of the mountains. The hosts were exceptional, very accommodating from the time of booking, making arrangements for pick up and welcoming us to the lodge. The boys who transported us were so warm and friendly. Although they provided transport to the resort, we also walked there ourselves, its a straight road, about 5-8minutes..a pleasurable walk, even at night. Along the way are 3-4 restaurants to choose from. The 7-11 store is just outside the resort on way to the lodge. I've read the reviews before picking this and was concerned about the distance. It really is not a problem at all. I don't regret at all not staying at the resort, this was a beautiful option. I'll definitely stay here again when we go to ski. Nothing. Everything was perfect.

• Alasdair (10/5): Nice and affordable stay for snowboarding at Rusutsu resort - Staff were very nice. Room was big and comfortable. They had a driver which have us lifts to the ski resort each morning and afternoon. Quite a walk from the main ski hill and hotel, but was okay once they organised lifts for us. Only a problem with heavy luggage and deep snow.
