• Lisa (6/5): - It was a hike to get from the ferry to the property with our luggage, so would recommend arranging transportation. The host accommodated our early check in, which was appreciated! The property is up on a hill overlooking the town. Walkable distance to beach and town. The room itself was a bit dated, but was a good size and had a lovely balcony. It would have been nice to have a coffeemaker or a kettle, but we did have a mini fridge.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Climb hundreds of steps w luggage - 2 major issues. First of all it's unclear from the listing that you have to climb hundreds of steps lugging your suitcase to reach the villa. No offer to drive the luggage to the apartment, like the other villas had (something I noticed afterwards). Secondly, they insisted that I could only pay in cash - that is a total tax avoidance move. I would not stay again, and I do not recommend
• Jeanette (10/5): Lovely Family Villa - We had a wonderful stay at Vila Lacman, the room was clean, light and airy. There was everything you would need in the kitchen and there was cold water in the fridge when we arrived, which was very well received. It is close to a supermarket which has an amazing restaurant above, we ate there twice. Quite a hike up from the port but well worth it. Would definitely stay there again if we are ever in Hvar. The Lacman family were lovely hosts.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Avoid this Place – Unacceptable Noise, Cash Demand - I strongly advise against staying here. My experience was incredibly disappointing and stressful from the start. First, the host demanded payment in cash (euros), even though I booked through Hotels.com and there was absolutely no mention of cash-only payment in the listing or confirmation. This forced me to withdraw money at a premium from ATMs — a huge inconvenience and cost that was completely unexpected. Second, the noise levels were unbearable. I was repeatedly woken up early in the morning by people knocking at my door and disturbances right outside the room. It felt chaotic and unprofessional — not at all like a place meant for rest. There was zero sense of privacy which I ended up becoming sick due to lack of sleep. What should have been a peaceful stay in Hvar turned into a frustrating experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Between the loud environment, the lack of transparency about payment, and people showing up unannounced at my door, I absolutely cannot recommend this accommodation. There are much better, more reliable places to stay in Hvar. Skip this one.

The cleanliness was impeccable and the ladies were very generous.There is a shared kitchen space where you can cook you own meals and that was very convenient for us. Overall the stay was very pleasant and I would not hesitate to book it again if I ever visit hvar.

• Holly (6/5): - We loved the space and the location was even good but every night we were awakened by young people stumbling in drunk. One night the kid knocked on the door for several minutes then went and got the owner to come unlock the door! Not a good place to stay if you aren’t going to party. The ladies that greeted us were super nice and very helpful. Just not a good fit for two old people.

• Philip (10/5): - A superbly located properly only moments away from the Old Town and beautiful beaches provided by a lovely, friendly and helpful family. The property was immaculately clean and well presented and included thoughtful touches such as the cold water in the fridge on arrival and beach towels. The memory foam mattress and excellent double glazing and air conditioning made for a perfect few nights sleep. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here and hope to return in the not too distant future. Thank you Familia Lacman :-)

A proprietária Lina foi extremamente simpática e muito solícita. A propriedade fica em uma rua acima da orla. Portanto tenha em mente que o acesso terá escadas, apesar de não ser nada absurdo para subir e descer. Recomendo a acomodação.

• Michael (10/5): Great location and comfort - Most of Hvar is a bit pretentious for me, with hotel prices to match. This absolute gek of a place is perfect for the okd town and beach bars but quiet and peaceful. Lovely sea faxing balcony in our room (room 2) and lots of space. No breakfast but a great kitchen to use and loads of eateries nearby. A small supermarket, great restaurant and beach bars 5 mins away, including the infamous hula hula bar if that's your thing. I couldn't think of a better place to stay unless you enjoy throwing your money down the drain. 10 minute walk from the ferry port and marina/old town.

One thing to know about the island is that there is spotty wifi, so if you need wifi this island might not be the place for you.

Vi fick låna badhanduk vilket var toppen. Rent och fint, stor balkong med fantastisk utsikt. Fanns möjligheten att grilla och sitta i trädgården. Läget var superbra, nära till hamnen och lätt att hitta. Rekommenderar verkligen detta boende 😊
• Martin (10/5): - Excellent balcony that we used in the morning as it was very hot during our stay. Air conditioner worked well. It’s a small apartment but well set out. Up the hill a little but easy access to the town centre and beaches.
• Safar (6/5): - Cash only method wasn’t explained in the booking. It cost me extra €6 in transaction fees while getting the cash out. There was a blood stains in the blanket. Overall hvar is just overpriced and overrated, bunch of scams, avoid going to hvar during the high season if you want to get ripped apart.

Henkilökunta oli oikein mukava ja ystävällinen. Sijainti oli hyvä tälle puolelle saarta tutkiskeluun ja lyhyt matka "keskustaan". Olimme tosi tyytyväisiä.

• Rachel (10/5): Perfect accomodation in Hvar! - Lovely stay at Vila Lacman, the family that run this place are super friendly and very kind. Our room was lovely and spacious and had a balcony with a great view over the sea. The air conditioning was very good and the apartment was very clean! There is a hill to walk up to get here but everything in Hvar has a hill so this is not a problem! :) I would recommend this place to stay in Hvar! We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed it!

Only a 10 minute walk from the harbor, in a quiet part of Hvar which was nice. Beach towels and water was provided in the room, which was very convenient since I forgot my beach towel! I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Hvar. I recommend this place to anyone visiting in Hvar.

The view of the town from the balcony is an added bonus. Would highly recommend staying here. The walk into town is short and very picturesque. Can’t say enough great things about this place. Would love to come back one day.

• Rebecca (8/5): Good apartment - My partner and I had a really nice stay in Vila Lacman. The room had all of the basics, a really comfy bed and a nice balcony space. A short 10-minute walk to the restaurants and bars along the seafront and the main square. The Lacman family were really good hosts and always happy to chat.
• Claire (10/5): - Vila Lacman was perfect for our stay. It is up a steep hill so if you have walking difficulties it may not be for you. But it is only a 10 minute, very safe walk up hill from Hvar Town. From the room we had we had a beautiful view across the town and harbour. And the lady who run the Vila was delightful.

• John (8/5): Nice room with good facilities and fab views - We stayed for four nights. The room was clean bright and airy with great views from the balcony. Excellent facilities provided and use of shared kitchen. The bathroom was great and the bed really comfortable. The proximity to beaches and town and various bars and restaurants was a decent walk away ( in various directions!). And there was a small grocery store 200 m away for the less mobile or energetic. Our hosts were helpful and charming. They very kindly provided beach towels which was a nice unexpected touch.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Be a part of the neighborhood family. - Only a short walk uphill (and up steps!) … but on the positive side you are halfway up to the fortress path only a short 5 minute (flat) walk away! The family is very kind and very precise. We enjoyed our stay, the small balcony, hotpot & dishes (bring your own coffee/tea). Short walk to grocery too! Great views from balcony. Lovely stay.

• Nuno (10/5): - A real family home turned family hostel just far enough away from the centre to escape the hum of party music but a short walk from the beautiful coastline. The owners are available and kind, but never intrusive, open to sharing stories about the country and their lives, finding you a cup of tea, or giving recommendations on what to see and do. Come in November if you want some free lemons, grown right over the well equipped kitchen and barbecue which is available for use. The rooms are cleaned daily, comfortable, well maintained, with pleasant balconies, a small fridge, utensils for breakfast, and an air conditioner. There's a first aid kit by the door and a cat close by at all times. It feels like nothing is missing. A treat overall, at all times.

• Mihovil (10/5): - Awesome friendly hosts, clean and tidy apartment, wonderful view from the balcony, comfy big bed and all amenities you would need. Also very close to the town centre and nearby beaches.
• Liga (10/5): Lovely place with very kind hosts! - The location is slightly further away from the parties, although one night we could hear the music even from our room, but it also was a Saturday night, which is understandable. We prefer silence & we don't party, so it depends on what matters to you personally when you decide to stay in Hvar. The room was lovely with a nice spacey bathroom, however the bathroom did have a slightly strange smell. We couldn't understand what it was. It was not a deal breaker for us & shouldn't stop you from choosing this room unless this is very crucial for your stay. The best and nicest thing was the hostess bringing us freshly home baked apple strudels! It was a pleasant surprise. This particular room does not have a desk, so if you need to do some work, choose one of the other rooms. I didn't pay attention when booking so I kindly asked the hosts if I could have access to a table somewhere where I could do a webinar from. They were very kind & offered to bring a table from other unused room or to use the other room for that moment. In the end, I think they accidentally forgot to give me the key to the other room (miscommunication, which can happen to anybody), but I figured it out on my own - there was a round table and a on the balcony so I carried them into the room, it was not ideal as there was not that much space, but it worked for me. The important thing was not the table, but the helpful attitude & intention to help that mattered to me, & I was grateful for that either way.
• Ket (10/5): - This place is well located, close to the centre of Hvar town, the beaches and a local supermarket. The host was very friendly, and there was even the possibility to buy recommended local wine from the owners! Our room had a lovely balcony and a sea view, we loved staying here.
• Rose (10/5): Perfect stay - We stayed here for 2 nights, Lina was lovely when we checked in and showed us a map showing everything we needed. The room had a lovely view, the bed was super comfy and the shower was large and clean. There’s a beach within a 5 minute walk as well as a supermarket and restaurants nearby. It’s a 10 minute walk into the centre of town which is perfect as it’s super quite. Throughly enjoyed our stay here and would 100% return.

• Michelle (8/5): Very homely feel, with amazing views. - Absolutely loved it! This place is lovely. It was very clean and tidy. Slightly older feel but it oozes with a very comfortable homely feel. We had a big beautiful balcony to sit on watching the magnificent view. My husband and I made a few meals in our own little kitchen. There is also a community kitchen available too. The owner was very lovely, friendly and welcoming. Parking was very easy and convenient, free and across the road. 10-15 min easy walk into town and 8min walk to the beach to swim. We would definitely stay here again.
• Bill Arthur (10/5): Great apartment - Great apartment at the top of Hvar, about a 20 minute walk from the ferry pier. Spacious with all the necessary features. Friendly host. Would stay again.

• Hannah (10/5): - Would highly recommend Villa Lacman! Anja welcomed us upon arrival and told us directions to the town centre and local amenities! Literally a 5 minute walk to the centre! The place was always super clean, bed was super comfy, shower was great and air con worked a treat. A nice touch was that beach towels are provided on your way out!
• Ina (10/5): Great and peaceful stay. Friendly staff! - It seem like a family run business and the people working there was really welcoming. It was completely quiet during the evening with no noise from the nearby parties downtown. Its a bit of a walk uphills (maybe 10 minutes) to get to the city center to the hotel, but it was worth it to get away from the more busier street. Overall a great stay if you want some peace.
• Mark (10/5): Fabulous place in a great location - Lovely friendly welcome and a great apartment. Great simple touches like clothes hooks in the bathroom for towels and drying line (with clothes pegs!) on the balcony. They provide beach towels that you can use and allow you to use the kitchen.
• Ryan (10/5): Brilliant time - This place is easy to find and soooo clean. Very welcoming people who can’t do enough for you. ***** from me ! Loved it absolutely brilliant. Plus there are hotels within 1 minute who let you use their pool. Amazing
• E (8/5): - Close to the old town. Great balcony with sea view at the front. Friendly staff who responded promptly when contacted. Hvar is a beautiful island and this is very good value accommodation
• Verified traveler (10/5): Good stay - Over a good stay in this hotel. You walk up the hill away from the center to get to it (15 min or so). You can go across and then up to the castle/look out point from the hotel without having to go back into town and then up. The room was clean and nice, with a little balcony. The lady that runs the place is very friendly. We also used the kitchen one night to cook food. No issues with this place.
• Gloria (6/5): - Nice hotel, on a hill 15 minutes from the city centre and the beach. Only down side was there were too many mosquitos in the room.

• John (10/5): Great value stay - Excellent facility - with very welcoming hosts. It's a great location for access to local beaches - which is the easier way into Hvar town. The more direct route is up stairs which could be challenging for older/less mobile visitors. Great views over the town and bay.
• Lily (10/5): - I had a lovely stay at Vila Lacman. It is run by a local family and they were extremely accommodating. It is about a 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal or 15 minute with your luggage. Before Croatia has lots of steps if you pack a heavy suitcase be prepared to lift up up stairs. The bed was a little creaky but overal I had a very good stay here
• Kevin (10/5): Great little bolthole - The family run small hotel is perfectly located for both the town of Hvar and the beach clubs. Lina was a very friendly hostess. The room was spotlessly clean, with a large powerful shower. Would recommend.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Good accommodation with a beautiful view - Really good, clean, spacious and amazing view to the sea. Only 10 minutes walk from the centre but far enough to have some quiet time from the bars at the harbour. Just be ready to climb stairs!
