Very welcoming, very clean rooms, love the scenic location, staff were very kind and went out of their way to be helpful. Quiet which is what I needed, authentic Japanese breakfast, option for western food also. I loved that this hotel was strictly non smoking (I’m very sensitive to smoking). Loved the option for kayaking, walking in nature. This hotel is for the person who also loves to interact internationally. I met awesome visitors from a young woman with a PhD in elephant behavior to one working on sustainable living, to one who built Japan telecommunications with Antarctica. A bit of rain but even that was great because there is a beautiful sitting room that looks out on Lake Nojiri.

He was able to accommodate and suggest solutions - us, being there for skiing - he recommended an onsen which was clean and affortable - he allowed his staff to drive us to the onsen - to the train station - pick-up from train station - allowed us to rest in the lounge area until our afternoon department Nothing to dislike - staff all very accommodating (Jason and Shuta) - hot drinks accessible 24hours (e.g. coffee, tea, hot water, green tea) - these made our stay very homely. we would certainly recommend it to large groups- in case you are feeling hungry, there is instant noodles available for purchase onsite

- Luca (8/5): - Amazing spot at the Lake. Perfect location in the middle of 6 ski resorts. Beautiful views. Easy to reach and very laid back atmosphere. Overall great stay No garbage rules are simply insane. In no other property we’ve stayed in Japan during our last multiple trips any hotel had these kind of rules. Also the shoe policies are not smart and you have always dirty socks. Breakfast was not good. They should provide vegetables+fruits and no watery fried eggs in the morning. Overall great stay just some rules and the breakfast needs to be improved.

Ted, Shota and Jason where absolutely wonderful hosts and we left feeling like part of the Lake Nojiri Family. Thank you so much for having us! Having a better night light would have been great, and the town itself is very quiet in the winter (no fault of the resort) so just be prepared that not much is open - great excuse to take it easy and enjoy the location and rest!

- YUFANG (10/5): - The resort owner was very kind and friendly (as well as the staff). Be a responsible traveler, open your mind, you will find rules are just for people who need them. During the stay, we shared different experiences and thoughts. The owner is a wise man full of wisdom. I will definitely visit again in a different season to experience and explore more around Nojiri Lake. Will be convenient if you drive around end of Dec. Restaurants nearby close before dinner probably because Dec is not a typical busy season. On the other hand, there is a small shop inside the resort that offers plenty of drinks, cup noodles, etc.

Our room had a lovely, enclosed balcony overlooking the lake. Our host and his staff were wonderful: thoughtful, friendly and always ready to answer questions. We were very happy with everything.

They were available on site and by phone to provide assistance. Also full of information about out of the way spots to enjoy. If I had to say something for this category it would be the window frame at eye level when we were sitting in our room looking out at the lake.

- Erica (10/5): Great stay in a beautiful place - I had a wonderful stay at this small, friendly hotel with its beautiful location right on Lake Nojiri (one of my favourite places in the world). Ted and his staff helped me settle in and check out comfortably, and the room really exceeded my expectations - very spacious, with attractive mixed Japanese/western decor, a super-comfortable bed. I mainly just swim, but saw lots of other guests taking advantage of the area and equipment directly in front of the hotel to do other water sports. All quiet and peaceful, but conveniently on a low-key road that takes you wherever needed. There's a relaxed atmosphere in the downstairs dining/coffee/sitting room area as well. All great

- Alexandre (9/5): - Le lac au pied de l'hôtel permet de se baigner facilement. Les paddles mis à disposition permettent de rejoindre le temple sur l'ile en face en quelques minutes. Que dire de l'accueil qui était parfait avec un propriétaire super sympathique. Nous avons adoré note séjour. Nous espérons y retourner en hiver. Petit déjeuner parfait Rien
- Keiko (8/5): 不満はないのですが、どちらかと言うと若い人向けかも。 - 朝食が美味しかった。 スタッフ(外国の方)がフレンドリー。いい距離感。 質問等LINEでのやり取りだったが迅速だった。 エレベーターがなかった(仕方ないけど)。 テレビがなかった。
- Yuuki (9/5): 想像以上に良い所でした。また野尻湖に行く機会があれば泊まりたいです。 - 野尻湖がすぐ近くなので景色が最高。 ベッドがとても寝心地が良い。 朝ごはんで目玉焼きとベーコンを焼いてくれる。とても美味しい。 夕食はないと聞いていたが、カップ麺や冷凍食品を販売しているので困ることはなかった。 従業員がフレンドリーだった。 建物が古め。ただし、掃除はきちんとされているし防犯もちゃんとしている。
