- Avril (10/5): Great mountain hotel - Great location with good parking. A very short walk into the village, which has all you could ask for. Evening meal in the hotel was excellent, with great choices and ample portions. Staff were all delightful Nothing
- A (8/5): Very good -
- Nicola (10/5): Good parking for motorcycles - Good location and lovely room. Friendly welcome and good parking. Lovely stay.
- Neil (9/5): Superb -
- Zoe (9/5): Superb - Lovely hotel. Lovely rooms and breakfast. We were expecting a parking garage for our motorcycles (as listed) but there wasn’t one. However ample parking behind the hotel.
- Damian (9/5): One night stop over, place is good for that. - The pool was ok, like having a cold bath. Quiet place, as we out of season things were pretty dead. Restaurant was good food. Restaurant had limited food. Local beer was odd
- David (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): Terrific - Parking, lift and location. We ate in one night and it was a memorable meal. The location was amazing in the Pyrennes. Even on a rainy day we could use the lounge facilties and do future travel planning. Good wifi. Nothing
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - Lovely hotel, lovely food, the town is quiet this time of year, perfect for our one night pit stop
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerard (9/5): We loved the hotel and its location, we will be back for sure... - Breakfast was great. All staff were helpful The remote for the TV did not work, I think the batteries need to be replaced.
- James (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Arreau is nice and we hiked several days. The restaurant was excellent. Nice to be in town and have good parking. The small bar and sitting area does give a more friendly atmosphere with guests hanging around to feel a bit like home.
- Clare (5/5): Over priced for lack of facilities offered, would of appreciated notification of facilities being closed and the option - Room was lovely, bed very comfortable Arrived in the evening to check in to find , the majority of the hotel’s Restaurant , bar and pool was closed, we were told there’s plenty restaurants in the village, at the time of our visit most restaurants were closed. We were also offered a cooked buffet breakfast in restaurant or continental in the bar at two different prices, we chose cooked breakfast only to find that in the morning we could only have continental in the bar area, when we had paid for full cooked breakfast and no offer of refund.
Shower- the shower hose was way too short and couldn’t stand under it, we were forced to have a bath instead which the plug didn’t fit snug so the water slowly drained.
- Alison (6/5): A few small touches would make a big difference! - Great location in a beautiful village. Lovely garden in hotel. All clean and very quiet. Great car park. Staff at reception rarely, and not very hospitable. Bar and restaurant closed first night with no explanation or warning. Tea and coffee in room lacked milk so no real use, and toiletries etc were very basic. Nothing majorly wrong, but a few small touches would make a big difference.
- Robert (8/5): Lovely Arreau, lovely classy hotel - our stay was on a Sunday - restaurant closed that day, sadly. They refer you on to "la Grange" - 10 mins drive away - (excellent, if pricey); despite a negative google search there was in fact a good Italian style restaurant open in Arreau that evening which would have been easier.
Lovely room (room 4 ) in the roof - no lift - (bathroom arrangements unsuitable if you are "large" or tall - but if like us you're 5'6" its fine!) There is no aircon - for our cool evening/night it was fine, but......
Room 4 unsuitable for larger or taller guests
- Roberto (9/5): Excellent - It is very clean and comfortable, with a private parking and right in the center of the small town Position, cleaning and parking
- Martin (10/5): Romantic mountain getaway - Charming, cozy, clean. Lovely gardens. Excellent restaurant. Spacious, free parking. Perfect location for exploring the mountains
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gdesclee (10/5): The best place to stay in Arreau and around! - Everything, the place, the facilities, the food, the people! Nothing to change
- Nick (10/5): Very nice modern hotel in a lovely village - The room was really nice, bathroom really nice, lovely view. As it was a hotel, we didn't have as much contact with the staff, but the receptionist was pretty friendly nontheless. It has a lovely rear garden, great private parking, and is a good location to walk easily into town. Didn't end up eating there as it seemed a little posh, instead had a pizza at the local pizzeria which was great. Nothing else wrong that I could see.
- Samantha (9/5): Superb - The bed was extremely comfy and a fabulous view of the mountains. Very expensive for a hotel room, could expect breakfast to be included and would have appreciated prior notice to the restaurant being closed. There was only on pub in town open for all eating.
- Richard (6/5): Could have been better - A nice room, although no air conditioning. Location was good, a picturesque village. The pool was closed
The restaurant was closed
All the restaurants in the village closed on a Monday evening
Options were take away pizza or very limited menu in a bar (worst meal ever!)
- Csluqin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (5/5): Ok - Good location, good breakfast My husband was beaten quite badly by bed bugs which we thought was mosquito bites first but few hours later they blew up in size and he was really suffering next night. Room was not very clean with some hairs by the bed.
- Peter (8/5): pleasant, quiet and relaxing stay at the Hotel d’Angleterre - Well located, nicely converted old building in a very pretty setting. Clean, comfortable with ample parking
- Louise (8/5): Very good -
- Hall (10/5): Exceptional - Such a refreshing change staying in a small village rather than a large town or tourist development. Restaurant was really good value and one of the best meals I have had. Nice view from our window over the roof tops to the mountains. Lovely secluded garden to relax in.
- A123124 (8/5): Very good - Pool was lovely, room was very comfortable, clean and quiet.
- Jordi (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy hotel with extremely nice staff. Delicious breakfast .
