Guest Reviews
- Stacey (3/5): Do not recommend, hotel staff did not seem to care because numerous people complained about no hot water - Location was ok No hot water to shower
- Catherine (8/5): - The airport shuttle was convenient. There were a few restaurants within walking distance which was helpful. Staff were all friendly and helpful both before arriving and while there. Great hotel to stay before cruising (either out of FT Lauderdale or Miami)
- Montalvo (8/5): -
- Alondra (10/5): Super practico - Todo
- Bryan (7/5): -
- Adonia (10/5): - Clean and neat No complaints
- Michelle (10/5): Would definitely stay here again before cruising out of Ft. Lauderdale port! - Rooms are very large with plenty of space to spread out. Lots of charges for electronics. Beds & pillows were very comfortable. All staff were very friendly & helpful. Everything was very clean. Location was perfect for going to the cruise port with lots of eating options within walking distance. Walgreens was close to pick up a couple of small items we forgot. appreciated the free shuttle from the airport to hotel as well as the private service they offered for $15.00 each person from the hotel to the cruise port Breakfast was pretty generic. Expand on breakfast. Have some varieties of oatmeal packets with toppings.
- Gary (8/5): I was only there for a night. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and quiet. I rested well. - Convenient to airport The breakfast, the coffee I wouldn’t call coffee, the breakfast area was not clean.
- Lucio (7/5): Easy acess to FLL - Included breakfast. Service was very dissapointing.
- Maria (9/5): great stay close to port and airport - Free shuttle to property; close to 3 different restaurants. Friendly staff that was informative. Breakfast very nice — waffles, coffee, juice yogurts fruits muffins eggs sausage nicely done finding the shuttle was a bit of a challenge, but drive called us ad helped navigate to him which was exceptional
- Ashley (7/5): -
- Scott (10/5): Great Location and pleasant stay, clean rooms - Location and cleanliness Same breakfast each morning… front desk staff could not find our request for shuttle to cruise ship even though we watch nightshift put our names on list the night before… had to be added to shuttle list same day… luckily they still had room for us.
- Debbie (10/5): -
- Watkins (1/5): IF IN A WHEELCHAIR WITH LIMITED MOBILIY, "ACCESSIBLE" ROOM IS ANYTHING BUT! - Nothing. Long line and no customer service. Reserved accessible room. Bed was so high, there was NO WAY to transfer from wheelchair. Had to sleep on sleep sofa. Requested extra pillows to raise feet while sleeping to avoid swollen legs. Front desk said not available. Found a maintenance man who was willing to go get the extra pillows. No roll-in shower, only transfer board on traditional tub that was too low to use. Unable to shower before cruise. This was a very expensive and not accessible room. IF IN A WHEELCHAIR WITH LIMITED MOBILITY DO NOT STAY!

- Alice Donnelly (8/5): - The front desk staff was very kind and helpful with allowing us to check in early. We were very pleased to discover the hotel has a free airport shuttle. The elevators are older and slow. The pool is just okay. It's off the parking lot and very generic.
- Kyla (10/5): We would definitely stay again!! - Everyone was so friendly! Great location to the airport and the port for cruising! Not many places to eat around you. Not the properties fault!

- Freedom63807908247 (4/5): Unprofessional general manager - The general manager 'Jermaine Burke' was very unprofessional, and ruined an otherwise fun trip. In short, we had roaches in our room. This may be a minor issue for some, but not for my family and I. In any case, one was observed enjoying a droplet of wine on the desk next to my mother in laws bed. She jumped up and yelped when she saw it, and I smashed it along with a buddy nearby. This occurred at 10pm on our 2nd night of a scheduled 3 and the night shift agent stated they he didnt have the power to make a decision/change, but that Burke could when he came in at 10am the next day. Therefore, we slept in a roach infested room for the night. Yes infested, as roaches dont travel in pairs. Needless to say, it was interesting trying to sleep that night for all involved.
In the morning, my mother and wife decided to skip the breakfast buffet due to the roaches, so I took them to a diner. I think you understand why. I met with Burke at 10am and explained the issue. He cut me off three times as I explained the problem. He also stated "if you are insinuating we have a roach problem you are mistaken." Hardly something to say to a guest to is showing you with photos that you indeed have one. Furthermore, a bit of common sense or a simple Google search can prove that to be incorrect. Two roaches don't decide to make guest appearances on the 6th floor (corner room) of a hotel because they like the carpet. That is an indication that you have a nest nearby, likely INSIDE your hotel walls. In any case, I didnt go into that with Burke. After the third time he cut me off, and in front of his assistant 'Sierra', I explained to him that I wasn't there to argue or have a debate, but to see what would be done for the roaches and the 12 hour overnight inconvenience. He responded with "Ill take $30 off the bill." I asked him if that was all, and he responded with "what would you expect?" I told him the previous night should be comped and was about to explain why before he cut me off once again with a "that's not gonna happen." I then explained why anyway (as he cut me off before), and he repeated "that's not gonna happen."
He then offered to change our room, which I declined because whats to say we wont find roaches there, and his tone/attitude wasn't such that I would accept anything at that juncture in the conversation. Even if such a proposition were to be accepted, if I came down to report roaches in the room at 10pm and couldn't see a manager until 10am, that's 12 hours...half a day. Even if the initial proposition were in the ballpark of being acceptable, it should have been half off the total bill for that night, which at $130 a night was $65, not $30. In any case, due to Mr Burke's "its not gonna happen" comments and overall demeanor, I canceled my remaining night and the additional reservation I made for my other in-laws. I checked into another hotel for the remaining night for everyone involved (2 rooms for 1 night).
I chose the Choice hotel (Dania) due to its proximity to the airport and highway. The reviews were pretty good also, so I booked the rooms. Having interacted with Burke however, a general manager nonetheless, never again for Choice or any of its affiliates. Ill also make sure my story is shared among other potential guests. Money isn't the issue, but the way you speak to people is more important than anything else. Even if someone doesn't agree with you, at times you can sell water to a fish depending on the presentation. As it pertains to staying at this particular property, I would suggest you look elsewhere.
Waiting until 10am to speak to Burke and moving our items to a new hotel took up half of our day, and threw a monkey wrench into our plans. All that for an attitude and $30 discount (which was applied to the final bill, although I told him to not apply it as Id rather pay based on principle). In closing Ive shared photos of our guests that night for your viewing pleasure.
- Loredana (7/5): -
- Akemi (9/5): Bom custo benefício - Localização
- Tracey (8/5): Nice room for a good price - Clean, comfortable and a good price. The bed is very high. I'm short eith mobility issues and getting in was difficult.
- Peggie (6/5): -
- Vanessa (10/5): Great value for the size of the rooms and cleanliness. - Very clean rooms and hotel. Easy check in and check out and food was tasty and fresh. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Pool was nice also. NA
- Kevin (10/5): -
- Kelly (9/5): It was nice! - Rooms were nicely decorated and organized. Plenty of facilities. Nothing
- Milena (10/5): - Conforto
- Bar-El (8/5): Great decently priced choice if your traveling in the area. Don't be concerned by the Airport nearby - This was a last minute solution for us and we were pleasantly surprised.
Although the hotel is right near FLL the rooms were extremely quiet and you would never guess a busy airport was literally right outside the window.
Rooms are HUGE. Breakfast was sufficient. Nothing really
- Laine (8/5): - Easy, comfortable, kind, microwaves and snacks to purchase in case! Beds were great, room was clean, bathroom needed a deep clean round the edges.
- Ludlow (10/5): -
- LUIS E (8/5): Hotel muy cerca del aeropuerto - . .
- Chris (6/5): -
- Wilson (9/5): Custo e benefício excelente - Muito confortável Localização
- Said Raqib (3/5): It was not worth for that price I was sneezing and coughing all night from inhaling dust.all - The stuff were nice . Location was good The carpet was old and filthy, the bed was full of dust and smoke
- Papahoward (10/5): GREAT PLACE AND GREAT LOCATION - We booked this hotel as it was close to the airport and cruise port. The shuttle from the airport was easy to obtain by calling the hotel and we were picked up within 15 minutes or so. Driver was very friendly and accommodating. We arrived at the hotel which was a perfect location. The check in with Laura at the front desk was smooth and easy and was nice to see a friendly smile and warm welcoming to the hotel. We were given our room booking in early on the 6th floor. The room was large and spacious, very clean and had a very comfortable King bed. Our room was great. The breakfast in the morning had alot of variety and was perfect for us before heading out on our cruise. The hotel does not have shuttle to the cruise port but there is a company that offers cruise port shuttle for $15.00 per person. We chose to take this option as the hotel and extras were great thus far. If they recommended this shuttle company and had it advertised in their hotel they must have met the high standards this hotel displayed. If and when we are planning another trip to this area they would be first on our list to visit again.
- Dan (10/5): Perfect - Extreme Clean!
- Sarah (8/5): Overall good - The location was excellent The breakfast could have been better
- Alan (4/5): I have a return stay before I go back to my home in the Bahamas flying Maker’s Air. - Breakfast was terrible and not edible, hardly any fruit. I ended up buying breakfast at the airport. Had a long day of international travel, I wanted to buy a couple of beers to relax, none on the premise, had to walk pretty far just to get a couple.
Also, every place I stayed you get two free bottled waters, not at this location.
This location was very dismal compared to the Comfort Suites I frequent on Paradise Island in New Providence, Bahamas.

- Lewis (9/5): Comfortable stay - Helpful Staff, comfortable bed, printer to print luggage labels for our cruise in reception. Great location N/A
- James (9/5): -
- Virginia (7/5): Fine for one night - Room was nice and clean. The staff was great The breakfast was not appetizing. The eggs were cold and unappetizing.

- Crosspay (6/5): Nice Enough... But Breakfast, Not So Much. - Convenient location. Decent enough stay. Breakfast was horrible. Like, save your time and skip the "free" breakfast. Friendly staff though, but the breakfast... not worth the time.
- Kristin (1/5): Overwhelming smells at an overwhelming price - The comradery with the other fools who paid for this place The ground floor had a horrible smell. A sweet smell mixture of old carpet, and toasted waffles. Fortunately the smell stayed on the ground floor. The elevator was filthy. The room was OK- the bed was clean. The windows did not open (I guess this is for safety, but highly inconvenient if there were a fire). The shower floor was dirty, encrusted with black. Dirty caulk. Dirty grout. Next day at breakfast- one working toaster- that only heated the bread at best! Lots of plastic, everything in plastic. Nothing natural. Sugar everywhere. The price for this experience- 440. dollars. Clearly this place takes advantage of transit tourists.
- Christina (1/5): It was terrible - Did not eat any of the breakfast Get better staff, or change the system they run on. It was terrible and I will never use a comfort inn again
