- Alberto (6/5): Isla paradisuaca, con un pesimo servicio - El sitio es expectacular, un paraiso en el caribe. Es excelente para desconectarse y disfrutar de la naturaleza. Estar en un lugar lleno de paz y buena energia. Tuve problemas con el transporte, me informaron que era aproximadamente una hora desde Tolu hasta la isla y me embarcaron en un bote que hizo 7 paradas y me tomo 2 horas 20 minutos. Al llegar al counter solicite que al regreso en lo posible me enviaran directo y no me tocara hacer lo mismo ya que viajaba con dos menores de edad y a pesar de que me lo reconfirmaron, al regreso hicieron lo mismo. Y en este caso salieron dos botes, uno que fue directo y en el que me embarcaron que hizo 5 paradas. En el hotel tuve varios temas con el servicio, por ejemplo en el desayuno solicite unos huevos y no llegaron. En otra cena, solicite plato adicional y no llego. Contrate un servicio de cena especial para una hora, al llegar solicite cambio de hora y tampoco lo hicieron. En fin, el servicio es pesimo, buenos para facturar, malos para servir.

- Garrett Neil (10/5): Amazing place and staff. - Amazing place with AMAZING staff. A pradise. Estefany who is the Guest experience manager was amazing and our kids loved her. We did too. ALL the staff were amazing. There was a very nice man who collected the luggage in a wheelbarrow. He was really nice to our girls. Big compliment to all the staff who made a difference. Always a smile on everyone’s face. A lot of beautiful animals on the property.
- Jorge (10/5): Paraíso en mitad del Caribe con servicio top - Cuando me di cuenta que el lujo de Isla Mucura es estar en un sitio natural, playa, tranquilidad, aguas cristalinas y un servicio cercano y amable, me di cuenta la maravilla que es este lugar. Entendiendo que en una isla en el medio del mar hay algunos lujos que no vas a tener, el estar allí lo compensa con creces. Mencion especial para su gente: Maira, María, Lucía, Eliomar, Jose Felix, Jesus, Andrés, Eduardo, casi tan increibles como el paisaje.

- David (8/5): - Très bon séjour avec très beau Bungalow deluxe vue mer. Le restaurant n’est pas terrible ; il faut privilégier le snack beaucoup moins cher. Le service n’est pas à la hauteur des tarifs (en particulier Maria au restaurant qui traîne des pieds, est désagréable et ne s’excuse pas quand elle vous renverse du café ou du vin dessus). En revanche Estefania à l’accueil a été adorable pendant notre séjour. Activités gratuites sympas
- Laurent (8/5): - Très joli Hotel au calme, nous étions dans un bungalow face à la mer, c’était paisible, salle de bain ouverte au ciel, très sympa, mais il ne faut pas qu’il pleuve…. Personnel, adorable, petite plage , un petit paradis pour se reposer.
- Julie (10/5): - We had a very good time here. They take many steps to make you comfortable and feel at home. Emma greeted us every meal with a smile, Erling, Pedro and other servers take care of every need they can see, and the food was very good. At the bar they let us try some local fruit (Lulo, which we had never heard of) and Osvaldo was extremely helpful and enjoyed practicing English with us, which was our pleasure since we were practicing Spanish. We only speak a little Spanish, and Estefany was fantastic for helping us in English with more complicated questions. We stayed in a Deluxe Bungalow and it was quiet. Overall it was a fairly quiet place, which is what we were looking for. The phytoplankton tour was amazing and our favorite. The jellyfish tour as pretty good. The snorkeling was not as good as other places we have been, but still worthwhile for the price. If you are a little adventurous you can visit the staff accommodation area where there are a couple of pigs and some turtles. There is a very nice man, one of the maintenance men, who takes care of the animals. If you are even more adventurous you can visit the village on the other side of the island, where some staff live, which we did and were greeted nicely there also. Fui en grupo pero me parecería genial volver sola y desconectarme aún más. Mi única oportunidad de mejora es el spa. En un lugar tan maravilloso deberían tener masajistas más experimentadas porq sentí q no saben lo q hacen y más servicios de relajación. Pero de resto puedo darles 20 sobre 10. Espectacular!

Tienen goteras, nos cayó una lluvia encima de madrugada en la cama y varias cagadas de pájaro mientras dormíamos la siesta y el aire acondicionado por la condensación perdía agua y el suelo al lado de la cama encharcado (Mangle 2) y en el mangle 5 muchísimas cucarachas por el suelo y en la mosquitera. Decepcionante. El baño ideal y las instalaciones en general preciosas. Nos pareció caro en general el servicio de restauración y en el bar brisas son demasiado lentos para el servicio, pero muy amables y educados.

The staff at the beach bar were so unhelpful and took over an hour to complete a simple order – which they only did once I went to reception to complain. Really horrible and expensive food with limited choice (I had read about this before going but it was worse than I expected). Far from luxury with beach beds in a messy organisation on the beach front and not enough of them for all the guests. The only nice thing was the hotel room. Don't waste your money!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice place to stay - This is a resort style hotel. The all place really feels like an island setting. The cheapest accmodation is still very nicely decorated, efficient and the air conditioning works great 24/7. The outdoor bathroom makes the all experience unique. Even though hot water is not available the temperature was still very comfortable. Also the music played at the bar area is a very Low volume so you can relax under the sun. The service is great, very friendly and helpful staff from the garden to the receptionist. The only thing that needs improvements are the dessert at supper,otherwise the buffet has several choices.

- Carolina (2/5): Pésimo servicio e intentan estafar a los turistas - El servicio del hotel a la llegada fue pésimo, intentaron cobrarnos casi 1 millón de pesos más, alegando un supuesto IVA que debíamos, pero lo curioso es que solo lo cargaban a una habitación y no a la otra. Nos tocó pelear por este cargo incoherente y nos enteramos que no fuimos los primeros turistas a los que les hacían esto. Se nota la mala fe del hotel, al intentar estafar a sus huéspedes, destruyeron desde el inicio nuestra experiencia, lo cual es muy triste porque el hotel y las habitaciones son hermosas, pero por la forma que nos trató Viviana en recepción y Yessica por teléfono, insultando mi inteligencia y la de mis acompañantes, hace que no recomiende NUNCA este lugar.

Pros: - One of the most stunning hotels I’ve ever traveled to, and for an affordable price. - The beachfront bungalows are gorgeous and recently updated, they have AC and comfortable amenities. - Eder & Sergio at the bar. And the piña coladas. Delightful - STUNNING swimming area, crystal clear water and soft white sand. Exceeded our expectations - Wifi was surprisingly strong throughout the resort - HIGHLY recommend the bioluminescence plankton excursion – one of the coolest things we’ve ever done! Mehs: - The food was just ok. It certainly was not anything special, but also not the worst I’ve ever had traveling. Definitely could use some improvement. - There is a charge for every single activity, even kayaking, paddle boarding, or snorkeling on-site Cons: - The music. Plays nonstop from ~10am - midnight every day. - The boat ride back to Cartagena. Wow, it was so rough. We were soaked and actually fearful for about 30 minutes of the 2 hour ride. Some previous reviews mention this, and our ride to the island was pretty calm, so we thought people were exaggerating. They were not. It was very scary and felt unsafe at times. This isn't totally the fault of the resort, but I feel like it should be addressed given reviews. Maybe leaving earlier? Overall, the pros beat the cons and this is a beautiful and unique stay. Not sure we will return just because of the boat transportation.

- jerome (8/5): - Très belle chambre, très confortable, au calme, face à la mer avec des transats privés. Environnement extérieur magnifique. Personnel sympathique dans l'ensemble. Buffet lassant après deux jours de séjour. Nous avons été très déçus par la sortie plancton luminescent organisée par l'hôtel. Nous étions 25 clients, tous à l'eau en même temps, tassés les uns sur les autres dans un petit espace, pendant à peine 15 minutes. Difficile d'apprécier le côté magique de cette découverte dans ces conditions. De plus je doute fortement de la sécurité à 25 personnes en pleine nuit sur ce type d embarcation. Pour les activités, vous pouvez passer directement par les gens du village. Pour le même prix vous aurez une excursion privée ou semi privée. Il serait bien dans ce type d établissement que la personne chargée de l'accueil et des animations parle un minimum anglais ou fournisse un livret écrit en espagnol ou anglais.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Honestly, meh - I have travelled extensively in Colombia in the last 4 months, and i have to say, this hotel had the least friendly staff (Crespa and Tyson were nice). Not that the staff is rude or anything, but it seemed like everyone is tired of their job there. Most of the little beaches in front of beach-front "rooms" had rocks or corals. Also, be aware, the property is VERY large, and depending on which "room" you're staying in, it can be quite a walk to the restaurant or the bar. We were fine, but certainly, can be an issue for some. Upon arrival, you're greeted with a welcome drink, they sit you down, and tell you different information about tours, the hours of restaurant/bar, etc., all of which could've been included in a confirmation email. Then you make a line to check in with the only one person checking you in. At this point, everyone from the boat is already here. It would have been more efficient to check in as people are still arriving from the boat, so the first people to get off the boat could be the first people to check in. The hotel offers tours like plankton and snorkeling. For plankton tour, we had to gather at 6pm, and it was a manual hand written process of copying names from one piece of paper (we signed up for a tour upon arrival) to another.. Add that to a dragged on check in, and it's easily 2 hours wasted if you arrive to the island at 12-1pm. Compared to my stays on other islands, not coming back to this one.

No beach towels and no cushioned beach beds. Restricted use of water. No hot water. Service is ok but not amazing. Food is good but many out of stock options from the menu. Many options for watersports and day tours. Good place to disconnect. Transportation from Tolu is ok but be prepared to land in the beach instead of the dock so feet may get wet and beach in Tolu is not nice. Better to travel light.

El predio en Gral es hermoso, muy bien cuidado. Las habitaciones son pequeñas, al menos los Bw donde nos alojamos demasiado pequeños.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Die Anlage ist riesig und wunderschön und sehr gepflegt. Unser Zimmer hatte einen eigenen Balkon und das war super. An 2 von 3 Abenden gab es Live-Musik. Es ist eine richtige Wohfühloase. Nicht gefallen: Man bezahlt ziemlich viel für ein sehr einfaches Zimmer ohne Bad, da stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht ganz. Auch das Essen ist sehr teuer genauso wie das Wasser und durch die Hitze hat man enorm viel Durst. Das Bett war sehr unbequen- Rückenschmerzen vorprogrammiert. Das Personal war teilweise sehr chaotisch bspw. bei wem wir bezahlt hatten etc.
