Thembi (7/5): I never spend much time because i was rushing back home due to an emergency. - The room was neat and welcoming. We had an emergency at mid night,we had to leave the guest house but there was no one to assist us to open the gate because the was no power and we are supposed to use the remote to open the gate.Another thing the hosts are not answering their phones they keep on ringing without response.

The TV in The Blue Crane cottage was a bit too small to see from the bed, esp for older people whose sight is a bit challenged..🙈😅 Only one side of the electric blanket was working. Smaller visual maintenance things like the bathroom tap was very loose. Skirting board wood rotting. No tiles around the shower walls, visible damp here and there. Garden areas not well maintained.

The facilities and amenities are great and seems safe and secure. Only slight hiccup was TV in bedroom did not work and main TV was very limited with channels.

Cots provided for separate beds requested (which they set up while these despite me booking 2 separate beds and ALSO emailing the request were too narrow, too short - as were the blankets.

Our expectations were raised as a result of the booking.com pictures of the luxury home and photos of the interior. We never realised that the 'expensive' cottage we booked and that is next to the good looking home, is an old renovated Dullstroom house. In the view of 4 of us, renovations create a perception of patch work and paint on old structures - even lack of 'flow' - one nicely (best) appointed room is only accessible from the outside. Way below our expectations, based on the prominent luxury home on booking.com. As a result of the visible patch work one shower is in serious disrepair. So disappointed.

The place is nice and quiet especially when you want to rest and have peace of mind. The place is neat and clean but they can improve here and there. It is not far from restaurants which made it easy for us to move around. Thank you so much, I will visit again. No wardrobes in the cottage we slept in.

Easy to get to, secure, clean, comfy, warm, enormous bathroom - but it was the little things upon arrival that made it special….a drop of sherry, chocolates, sweets, drinks. It’s close enough to the centre of Dullstroom to walk, but far away enough from the main road so that it’s peaceful and quiet. The owner was readily available to call or message throughout. Venessa (10/5): Absolute comfort in a well located setting. Highly recommend - The unit we stayed in was exceptional with everything you could wish for. It offered secure parking and is within walking distance to Mrs Simpsons and the hotel. If anything could be improved on we’d probably recommend a new set of towels and a plugpoint for USB chargers. But we had to really think hard about what could be improved

Bashele (9/5): - The location, cleanliness and facilities were good. The small gestures (sweets, chocolate, coffee) are a good touch. Thank you for the hospitality. The internet connection was intermittent. The bathroom door does not lock from the inside, and there was no key in the toilet. So privacy of adults vs kids was slightly compromised.

Kets (8/5): Very good - The comfortable beds and the outdoor patio and playground. Plenty of cupboard space. The main shower head was dismal. Lamp in the small bedroom was broken. Curtain in the big bedroom hanging off a hook. Plug is 2nd bedroom broken. Not sure if the hairdryer is broken but it had a round plug but no adapter to be able to plug it in. Had high hopes of a complementary sherry and gowns after reading other reviews so felt disappointed that there wasn't any

Eugene (10/5): Excellent Stay in Dullstroom - We recently stayed at The Browns Luxury Suites as a group and were thoroughly impressed. Everything about the experience was excellent — the suites were beautifully appointed, well-equipped, and spotlessly clean. The accommodation is centrally located, making it easy to explore Dullstroom on foot. We had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We were all very pleased and will definitely be back!

Erica (8/5): Great weekend stay in chilly dullstroom - Spacious and had all amenities one would need for a comfortable stay. It was a rainy weekend and the front door unfortunately expanded so it was very difficult to close. The WiFi is also a choppy.

Veronica (7/5): rating it in compartments will create a higher expectation than what the overall feel is. - the photos and name of the property suggested we stay at the luxury browns apartment- even the address suggested that, but instead we were booked in next door to an older more run down house with a different name. There is nothing wrong with anything in the unit- Individually rated it is all good linen, good furniture, clean and have everything you need. The combined and overall feel is unfortunately nothing special or inviting.

The advertising of the place is confusing. I was in the belief to stay in the main house, But I ended up in the cottage. Nothing wrong with the cottage, but let's be clear when booking
