The breakfast was exceptional both in quality, choice and presentation. In many ways better than any 5 star hotel. Above all Celia was the most amazing host. Nothing was too much trouble and her passion and enthusiasm shone through from the moment we arrived. Thank you Celia and your staff for making our stay so memorable. Leonor was so kind and helpful, she made us feel at home and gave local tips for the area, her and her team are wonderful. The rooms are spacious and stylishly decorated, and breakfast was delicious (and accommodated for dietary requirements). Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Abbiamo avuto la necessità di lavare un paio di pantaloni e Celia ce li ha fatti trovare puliti senza neppure chiederci nulla per il servizio. La struttura è molto bella e si trova in una zona residenziale estremamente tranquilla. La colazione ci è piaciuta molto e ha soddisfatto ogni nostra aspettativa. Sceglieremo sicuramente ancora Selkirk House qualora dovessimo tornare ad hermanus. Non puoi oscurare totalmente le finestre per cui filtra sempre un po' di luce, se sei sensibile a ciò potrebbe darti fastidio, tuttavia si tratta di un aspetto molto personale

Besonders beeindruckt hat uns das riesige Bad – ein echtes Highlight! Das Frühstück war hervorragend, abwechslungsreich und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Auch der Service ließ keine Wünsche offen: aufmerksam, herzlich und immer hilfsbereit. Ein großes Dankeschön an die Gastgeberin, die uns nicht nur mit ihrer herzlichen Art begeistert hat, sondern uns auch wertvolle Tipps für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung gegeben hat. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder. Absolute Empfehlung – besser geht es nicht!

The manager of the hotel was also so sweet showing us the room and giving us advices for where to go and taking care of the breakfast as well. I recommend anyone that goes to Hermanus to stay on this hotel, if I ever come back to Hermanus this is where I will stay without a second thought. Everything was excellent.

Ci si sente a casa e gli ampi spazi interni garantisco totale privacy e confort. La proprietaria è accogliente, disponibile e si percepisce subito l’amore che ha verso la guest house e il suo lavoro. Il quartiere è molto bello, sicuro e vicino al mare (3 minuti in macchina). Infine la colazione è ricca e di alta qualità e la proprietaria si è accertata di eventuali allergie prima del nostro arrivo! Tutto fantastico!

La struttura è gestita in maniera impeccabile da Cecilia gentile signora e molto professionale, che accoglie con calore e attenzione. Gli ambienti sono ampi, luminosi ed elegantemente arredati, con cura per ogni minimo dettaglio. La nostra camera era enorme, arredata con legni di pregio e dotata di un bagno spettacolare: doppia doccia, vasca da bagno (non idromassaggio) e finiture di alto livello. Gli spazi comuni, come il resto della casa, sono accoglienti e studiati con gusto, offrendo un senso di comfort e raffinatezza raro da trovare. Un soggiorno che unisce bellezza, comodità e ospitalità autentica. Consigliatissimo a chi vuole vivere Hermanus con il massimo del comfort. Colazione ricca, curata e completa con utilizzo di ingredienti freschi e di ottima qualità.

Die Einrichtung ist super edel und chick. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und professionell. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und gut gepflegt und vor allem sehr sauber. Breakfast spread was the best of our trip in capetown and Namibia. Room was big, quiet and extremely comfortable. Would love to come back and stay again Nil
• Sophia (10/5): Fabulous breakaway to spoil my mom exceeded my expectations - Awesome variety and a great breakfast. Super yummy- lovely fruit salad and variety of cheeses. Great coffee. We loved the scrumptious breakfast 😋. We felt we home and were welcomed like VIP’s. The Mountain View from our room was spectacular. I give Selkirk my highest recommendation and would love to return. True 5 star experience. There is really nothing I did not like.

There was too much delicious-looking food to choose from at breakfast. Ok, not really a problem. The only real thing I can think of is that the room could use a few more power plugs.

There are many great accomodation around the world but seldom I found such warm welcome and professionalism all together.

The guest house is elegant and chic yet warm and homey. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. Thank you to Celia and her team at Selkirk House. We will definitely be back again.
