• Gillian (2/5): DON'T STAY HERE - The view from the tiny balcony Well were to start! Firstly there are no signs anywhere around to help direct you (even used Google maps), had to call customer service to help us (hmmmm not so great) we were on the top floor so LOTS of stairs, air conditioning-NO- they keep the remote so you can't use it, WiFi -NO- did not work for TWO straight days, shelves and side units FILTHY- I had to clean the room myself with wet wipes (curly hairs and food crumbs all over room) pictures of the room are from about 10 years ago so everything in there has changed and is falling to bits. Dead flie and cobwebs in bathroom, toilet bowl BLACK! I know everything is probably thinking why didn't you tell anyone, oh we did but getting through to anyone was a joke as there was no reception area to report to just a lovely old man who couldn't speak a word of English bless him, two days of messages to customer services and no help! DO NOT STAY HERE

• laurence (7/5): - L’emplacement est idéal, au cœur d’une ville dynamique avec de nombreux commerces et restaurants à proximité. Le parking sur place est un vrai atout. Les hôtes étaient très gentils et serviables, ce qui a rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable. Il manquait simplement quelques petits équipements comme un balai, un peu plus de serviettes, du sopalin ou une éponge, mais dans l’ensemble, tout s’est très bien passé.

• Mike Rider (1/5): Appalling. I have stayed in many Booking.com properties, this is the first bad one. So bad I want a - Close to promenade ( though up steps and difficult to find) The view ( but spoilt by builders supplies, detritus including an old sofa, and ongoing building work) The water was hot. The air con was very old and noisy but worked. To say it was basic would be paying it a compliment. Everything was cheap, old, inadequate. I wasn't given the Internet password until I asked. I was given a second towel when I demanded it but it was as bad as the first, old,thin, immediately soaked through. The sheets and pillow cases were old yet rough, the pillows old and lumpy. The kitchen was appalling, barely equipped with DIY electrics and plumbing. Nothing was supplied, not even washing-up liquid or cleaning materials. The coffee maker and iron were non-existent.
• Vivien (7/5): We loved our 6 days stay in this wonderful location - The location was excellent so close to everything. The manager was lovely and was always available if you needed anything. The view from the apartment was beautiful and it was great to sit out on the small balcony. Although close to everything it was very quiet. The apartment was older so appliances etc were dated but functional and that was shown in the photos. Nothing really, we got what we paid for, a few more plates, glasses and utensils would have been nice.

I was expecting a kitchen but there were no stove and sink for cooking and washing. I have had only body towel but I needed towel for face as well. There was no hand soap and bathroom wasn’t clean enough.

• Shóna (10/5): Everything was wonderful no complaints - This is a great property for independent solo traveler, but also quite suitable for couples and families, it’s quite and located beside everything, a bout 2 minute walk from bus stop, close to airport, but leaving convenience aside, the environment, cleanliness, atmosphere, and energy of the hosts was absolutely amazing. Wonderful stay. Just to keep in mind, your room will provide you a mini kitchenette with kettle and plates cups etc, with fridge, but there is no coffee or soap provided, this did not bother me as I expect it to be self service but just in case you where expecting shower soap etc, it does not. Which was no to me. The apartments are located near the car park, which is only a short walk, it may seem a little confusing but they are happy to meet you at the bottom of the hill if you ask. The view is amazing! They may have poor English so just be patient and remember it is not their first language. Great experience altogether. Everything was great.

Rommet var veldig lite, glad vi ikke hadde store kofferter, ikke skapplass eller hyller til å sette fra seg ting. Kjøleskap, aircondition og en liten veranda, samt greie senger. Fikk ha rommet til kl.15 avreisedagen.

Easy transportation link nearby to go to Dubrovnik. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful accomodation near Dubrovnik, you are reading the right comment.

The couple who ran the place are so sweet and very accommodating, we arrived early and they allowed us to leave the bags and even left them in the room for us. The place is very unassuming, but was blown away by the view. It's a little complicated to find it and got a little confused finding my room but after the first time it's easy to adjust. The location is perfect right in the middle of everything yet very quiet. The room was perfect size and had everything we needed, don't expect 5 stars but what it lacks in that it makes up in charm, it even had a balcony with a stunning view. We really loved our stay and hopefully can come back one day. Highly recommend this place

• Anna (8/5): - It's not luxurious accommodation but I had everything I needed for a 2 night stay. My flight got cancelled so I needed a place to stay asap. The room and bathroom were a bit outdated but clean and equipped with everything you might need (maybe just the fridge door handle would do with a wipe lol). The hosts didn't speak much English but were very kind and helpful. The location was great. You can walk everywhere in Cavtat. Also,the view from the balcony was amazing. The wi fi was the strongest on the balcony so I ended up working there:)

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great location - Very kind host. The hotel is close to the airport and to the water front. It’s a perfect place to stay. We were only there for a bit between flights but everything was wonderful. We wish we could have stayed longer.
• Hollie (1/5): Checked out after 1 night. Wouldn’t recommend or return - The hosts were friendly enough, the location was good. It was so dirty, wee on the toilet seat with toilet paper still in the bowl on check in. The remotes for the tv and air con were filthy. The air con was dripping out dirty water onto the fridge. The kettle was dirty. The power went off in the middle of the night as we kept the air con on. So no phones got charged, no lights to see any thing etc. We had a 4 night stay booked and checked out after 1 night.

• Verainesview (9/5): Well located with great view - Beautiful view from the terrace, as in the photos. Loved sitting out there. Apartment was clean & reasonably functional. Bed was comfortable. Free parking in car park below. Cavtat is a wonderful place to spend a few nights!! Hard to find as no instructions given. Host didn't answer the phone or messages for over 12 hours, so we were lucky to find the place. Steps up to apartment & little steps inside. Could easily be better appointed.

No soap, shower gel, towel in kitchen, floor sweeper, etc. - those small things could make our stay way much better. Found just one small shop where we bought all those things. • Marko (5/5): Great view poor service - Location, view, Check-in > lady gave us an apartment and little later when we already unpacked our staff man with bad English tells us to change room because they first gave us a wrong room. They told to pay more to stay in first room or change the room. It was their mistake not ours so it was annoying. We tried to upgrade our room a week and days earlier but booking said rooms are fully booked... And there was no one at first room during our stay.. Owner smoked and the smell came to the room. Airplanes flight over the guest house.

But it’s the nicest couple running the place. They really are service people and very kind. Google translate will be of great help if you don’t speak croatian

The owners were friendly but spoke very little English, so contact through the telephone number provided was via a Contact Centre in India, a waste of time (and could save the owners money if they used a local agency instead) thankfully we stopped 2 local young girls who rang the owners and arranged for us to be met and escorted to our top floor 2 bedroom apartment.

• carolyn (8/5): - Rooms are nice and clean, apartment is a bit dated. Beds very comfortable and ample space. Walking distance to everything. The only challenge is communication. Owners are lovely and try very hard but speak only Croatian. They use a booking company that speaks English but whenever you call, there is a wait and as they manage many properties you have to give your reservation details every time you call and you will call! It’s very hard to find as you don’t get the exact address. They had to contact owners to get that for me once I arrived in town and owner did not answer so I just had to wait and wait and wait. I also tried calling on my own with no luck. When I finally got through, we could not understand each other so I had to initiate 3-way call and start from the beginning with my reservation number. Frustrating after a long flight and confusion with parking all in the dark When I finally found the place owner gave me an apartment when I actually booked a room. 10 minutes later he knocked on my door and said wrong room but stay, no extra charge. I offered to change rooms. He said stay. Next day other people arrived who were also frustrated with arrival who had booked apartment and they asked me to move in my the middle of the day and did give me a choice of rooms which were all nice. Now that I know where the place is located, I would stay again, quiet with lovely views of marina. Pack patience and employ a sense of adventure however for your arrival.
• Patricia (9/5): A great place, convenient for the airport. - The location and view from the balcony were both excellent. Just a few steps to the harbour, bars and supermarket. Not up a big hill like many properties in Cavcat. In spite of central location, it was a very quiet area and the beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed. Nothing bad to say about the place.

• Sue (6/5): Location location but needs to be more customer focused to get return visitors - The location is fabulous. Very central in Cavtat and with an amazing view from the balcony 1. Very dissatisfied that the listing says air conditioning (which it has) but when I used it on my first day I was approached by the owner who said it was free at night but I would have to pay for any day time use. That was not stated on booking.com!! 2. The amenities in the apartment were very sparse eg 2 mugs, 2 plates etc etc. No toiletries or washing up liquid provided 3. The towels supplied (just 1 hand and 1 bath) were very old and very hard!! 4. Lighting on the balcony didn’t work and one of the bedside lamps had no plug socket to be able to use it

There were zero toiletries (hand soap, shampoo, etc.) and the room is small but perfect for what we needed… a comfortable bed, AC, and a nice shower. We had a car so we drove to Dubrovnik. The room is part of a house as they rent other rooms as well. It was a but confusing finding the place and check-in is with the hosts who live in the apartment/room in the first floor. Once they saw us, they welcomed us… no issues at all! PS: Thank God for the AC… it was very hot!

The manager was pleasant but spoke very little English, and we spoke no Croatian, so that made communication regarding the wifi rather difficult. The wifi was more non-existent that intermittent, very frustrating for all 3 days

My apologies for forgetting to turn off the air-con when going out a couple of times. - Room 3 was better than the rooms above as the sunshine on the roof did not turn the room into an oven. View from the terrace is lovely. Superb central location in the village. WI-fi reception was a little patchy.

• GEORGIOS (8/5): - The apartment is in a great location, close to all the restaurants and shops. We had a room with a small balcony (not the one that was shown in the picture) but view was great. There is parking included, but you have to talk to the owner first in order to let you go through the public parking. That was not very easy for us, since the owner does not speak English and we do not know the local language. Afterall, we found the property and its parking through by using the help of the agency. We were also surprised that there was not even hand soap in the bathroom. However, the owner brought us one after we expressed our need for hand soap.
