Mi experiencia en el hotel a pesar de los pocos días y poco tiempo que estuve en el hotel, ya que estuve por trabajo ahí, me pareció excelente, no tuve problemas con nada, especialmente todo excelente y correcto con la televisión, aire acondicionado, ventilador, cama, la limpieza, el baño, el agua caliente en la bañera, la seguridad de mi habitación (no presencie ningún problema) y el desayuno incluido muy bien. Agradezco mucho la estancia, recomendados calidad-precio.

Me tocó habitación en planta baja inmediatamente a la entrada, el baño limpio, la cama cómoda, aire acondicionado e Internet, tiene todo para una estadía cómoda. Incluía el desayuno que consistía en café, fruta muy rica y opción de huevitos con jamón o hot cakes. El personal muy amable y respetuoso.

• Jorge Armando (10/5): - La ubicación es perfecta ya que se encuentra exactamente entre la playa y el muelle no necesitas tomar transporte para moverte, además alrededor están muchos restaurantes y localitos para comer y salir por la noche, el servicio es excelente y las instalaciones están nuevas, el desayuno que venía incluido está riquísimo y no se diga del café que está delicioso ya que lo hacen al momento,, con gusto lo recomiendo ya que cumplió todas mis expectativas al 100%, espero que el próximo año que vaya a ir tenga la oportunidad de hospedarme ahí mismo, el único inconveniente que vi y que no es muy relevante es que no tiene alberca, pero con la playa es más suficiente ya que puedes nadar varios kilómetros y sigue estando pareja.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location was ideal — close enough to the centre to explore easily, but far enough away to avoid the late-night noise from the bars. Breakfast was great and kept us full and energised for the day. Our room was lovely, and the bed was super comfortable. The only downsides were that our shower water fluctuated between very hot and very cold, and on Friday night there was loud music from the bar until around 1am, which made it difficult to sleep. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return, perhaps in a room a little further from the bar next time.

The place was clean, comfortable beds and pretty quiet since it’s not too close to any of the bars. Easily walk everywhere; beach, stores, restaurants etc. Only downfall for me was the hot water that is inconsistent in the shower but still managed. I would stay there again and recommend it as a good option especially for the price

• Sophia (6/5): - We had booked 3 weeks but only ended up staying 2. Even ahead of the stay things were questionable, we couldn’t find any information about the hotel online, no contact info or anything. Ongoing construction at the hotel which we were not informed of, it was very noisy at times. At least we were placed in a room far away. Housekeeping didn’t do anything except changing the bed and possibly sweeping the floor. We had a cockroach in the room that we killed and he was still on the bathroom counter after housekeeping had been there, they didn’t wipe tables or anything. There were also stains on probably every single one of the sheets we got. The staff didn’t speak a lot of English so google translate was essential. WiFi was mostly terrible. It was okay, but I wouldn’t return unfortunately.

• Paddy (2/5): - We walked around for quite sometime thinking our maps were wrong. We finally found the property, nothing like what was shown. Absolutely no windows anywhere. The front is covered in plywood and caution tape. We ended up booking something different, which was amazing. The staff watched us walk by several times and never tried to ask what we were looking for. I would suggest Expedia remove this listing until it at least look habitable.
• Anita (2/5): BEWARE - Under Construction Until March 31st - This hotel is under construction until March 31st, the note on renovations shared does not accurately represent the extent of the work that is ongoing. During our stay, the entire facade and reception was demolished and they were pulling up new walls, drilling and hammering. We barely found this hotel on the street as it was fully scaffolded up. They put us in the room right by the reception, construction noise ended at 6 pm and started again at 7 am the next day. We left after 1 night. This is the first hotel I've ever left and I traveled quite a bit. I'm sure the hotel will look lovely after the upgrades, but it should not be renting rooms for the period due to the disruption. It speaks volumes about the management. Otherwise, the rooms look as described, but there are no windows on them as mentioned somewhere in the booking. The front desk staff was very lovely and as helpful as they could be in the situation outside their control. You could get a better accommodation for your money.
• Gwen (6/5): Not Great - This hotel is strange. The rooms really don't have any windows and the lighting is very dim. Sound travels easily from outside to inside so bring earplugs. During our stay there was demolition to the front of the building. It would have been nice to have known this ahead of the stay. The price is comparable to most other hotels in the area and should at least be greatly reduced during the renovation.

• Pablo (10/5): - We were warmly greeted in the reception and shown to our beautiful room. Great place, clean rooms, good a/c, televisions… this hotel is central to everything on the island, from getting off the ferry to the 3 mins walk to the beach. We were lucky to be upgraded on our second week there to an upstairs room with a patio which we really enjoyed after a long day at the beach. Thank you to all the staff there that made our visit feel just like home.
• Dicky (2/5): - Sadly, this hotel was not for us. On arrival, the room was clean, but off the scale humid - and no windows. In fact none of the rooms had windows. The pictures make it look fabulous, but that was not the reality. In the end, we didn’t spend a single night there. The staff were very polite and they helped us find another hotel with some space just down the road. It’s a first for us to have to find somewhere else. The manager called the owner who did agree to refund us, but despite numerous attempts through Expedia customer service, nothing materialised. I’m sad to leave a negative review as the staff were extremely nice, but given our experience and no refund, I feel obliged to be honest about our experience.
• Gwen (4/5): - Our room wasn't ready when we got there. There was a coffee machine but they don't supply coffee. No bottled water. We had to buy our own. The pictures on the website are misleading as the property loojs new and chic. In reality it was dated and just felt dirty and musty.

• StretchNStumpy (4/5): Not Impressed - This place is nothing like you see in the pictures. They make it look upscale and chic and it isn't. It is run down and needs updating. We stayed in the "Luxury Suite". No pods for the coffee maker, no glasses in the room if you want to have a drink, not even bottled water. The whole place just feels damp and dirty. Plus the door handle was coming off lol. I would avoid.
• Raymond (6/5): - Property was basic, rooms don’t have any windows so it’s a bit muggy in the rooms, hot water is limited! But the location is great
• Christine (6/5): - This property was pretty to look at however not as functional as we would have preferred. The hot water didn’t work for 2 of 3 nights. The cleaners did not leave coffee pods one morning nor was there any water for the coffee maker. We had to wait until 5pm for towels when the ones we had previously would have been fine. The room was poorly designed with the light hanging low in front of the closet door. This made the closet difficult to use and the light a head hitting hazard, I’m only 5’3”. The bathroom sink sprayed all over the counter regardless of the pressure. The staff tried hard to accommodate and compensate however it was near impossible. I suppose “remoteness” accounts for much of the challenges. Perhaps the website just over sells a bit. We enjoyed our stay and 3 nights was perfect.
• Ilya (4/5): - No windows in the room! No windows! Therefore it's 100 moist all the time. Even our non swim cloth got wet during 3 days stay. Mattress is soft and uncomfortable and soundproof is very weak, so I couldn't get normal sleep at all.

• Sara (10/5): Hotel cómodo y bonito en mitad del paraíso - Hotel muy bonito en el medio de Holbox, la habitación es muy espaciosa y el baño tiene un tamaño perfecto. Tiene mini nevera lo cual es perfecto para mantener bebidas frías, que se agradece con el calor que hace en Mexico. También teníamos una terraza enorme. Un lugar para repetir una y mil veces.
• Carolyn Leigh (10/5): - Hotel Bohonito is a lovely hotel, and my room was spacious and comfortable. The staff are friendly and were always helpful. The AC kept the room super comfortable. The location is convenient to all the restaurants and shops and of course, the beach. Because there was not a window in the room, it was a little dark but it also stayed nice and cool (even with the AC off) and it was a nice retreat in the heat of the day, especially if you want a little siesta. Overall, it was affordable, convenient, and comfortable!

Walking distance to restaurants, bars, market 1 block away and 5 minute walk from ferry/ 5 minute walk to beach. I would stay again. Only problem was water. It went off for a short time twice, pressure was low and didn't get warm.

The manager was rude and refused to refund our money unless we spoke with expedia we called expedia to accommodate us and we where told the hotel would not answer so they could not give us our money back for services not rendered. Don’t get fulled with there false advertisement.
• Zuzana (6/5): - Cute hotel, close to the beach and restaurants. Needs a lot of tlc and fixing. The street it’s on was under water the whole time. Staff is amazing, friendly and helpful
• Brandon (6/5): - If you are looking for a basic place to sleep that is centrally located then the place meets that need. The rooms as small, and on the first floor don’t have windows. It is a short walk to the beach and restaurants. The more unpleasant issue is likely beyond the hotels control, when it rains all the streets are flooded. And as they are all dirt, the roads are a mess, with deep water and mud. We have heard from reliable sources the sewage backs up and seeps out when it rains. Which based on the smell of some of the roads I would tend to believe. We won’t be going back Holbox on any future trips to Mexico. If you are looking for a “Daytona Beach” party scene, with trashy vibe, this is your place.
• sandra (8/5): - Slept better than I've ever slept! This was only because the room that we booked had no windows or natural light, other than the small bathroom window. Though we knew about the window situation, it was still missed when we just wanted fresh air or light.
• James (10/5): - This little gem is worth it! Very close to everything and a 24 hour store. Great AC and the bed is very comfortable. Our room was very clean and well maintained and I highly recommend it. You will walk from the ferry about 7 mins and you will see the hotel!
• Ramazan (8/5): - No windows in the room it makes room smells like humid, shower head was weird. But location was really good. You can walk anywhere in the island. Place was nice and clean.
• Kinga (10/5): - I haven’t received any wine but we get early check in 3 hours before and super friendly stuff and helpful staff. The island was flooded today by the ocean and they are doing what they can make us electricity and our comfort. Because the all island is without electricity and no water yet
• Nicolas Ignacio (6/5): - Hotel centrico bien ubicado cerca de la plaza central. Las habitaciones eran muy comodas y grandes. La persona que nos hizo el check-in muy amable y bien predispuesta. Las contras: el wifi funciona muy mal, la ducha no salia agua caliente. En teoria luego lo solucionaron pero salia muy poca cantidad. Lo peor fue que no nos hicieron el cuarto. Cuando fuimos a quejarnos nos comentaron que era porque el hotel estaba lleno. Hay muy poco personal y en la recepcion nunca hay nadie.
• Veronica Perez (10/5): - Hotel muy recomendado, área tranquila y nadie te molesta. El único detalle es que no tiene agua caliente en el baño, pero todo lo demás excelente.
• Lisa (10/5): - The property was exactly as displayed in the photos. The highlight was the espresso machine in the room. Room was clean and as expected. They're was no window in the room so it was dark but the lights and A/C worked great. We could not hear the ATVs or road traffic in the room. Staff was extremely polite and very helpful during our trip. There was a water dispenser available which was appreciated.

• Andrea (2/5): - Since arrival all went wrong, we had to wait for room till 4:30pm, we got room without towels, floors/ washroom wet. And hotel charged us 2x, still have to deal with a bank to getting money from hotel back. Never noone to reach on reception, we also had first night 7-9pm a guy drilling/fixing stuff on the top of the bed.. room was left dirty! Room also had very strong smell of mold. We left after staying 2 nights instead 4. Very uncomfortable stay. Dissaponted!
• Phil (10/5): Great Hotel/Amazing Staff in Heart of Holbox - The Hotel is in a great location, there is a nice coffee shop, bank and GoMart across the street. Great restaurants near by. Never needed Taxi. The room is as advertised, comfortable, and clean. The staff was friendly and easy to work with. They went above and beyond, after I left my passport in the room they sent someone to the bus terminal in Cancun with it. I would highly recommend this hotel
• 89jackieg (6/5): Good basic hotel, centrally located - This is a good basic hotel and overall we had a good stay 26.12.23 to 2.1.24. It’s clean and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The positives: central location/helpful staff/good value for money/efficient AC/reliable WiFi/fridge/coffee maker/free drinking water. The negatives: the rooms are dark as there are NO windows/ poor lighting in room and bathroom, so difficult to do make-up/poor shower pressure/no kettle/no beach towels/not enough towels/unreliable hot water (our friends had to change room and it still wasn’t working well)/no communal areas to chill or sit/no pool.

• Charlie (10/5): - It's close to everything, but also tucked away so there is not much noise. The rooms are dark, perfect for resting after a long day at the beach. Good value, would definitely stay here again.

• jacque (10/5): - The hotel is clean, adorable, the staff is super accommodating. The location is just a block from all the great restaurants, a couple blocks from the beach. We stayed in the king suite, the balcony was a very welcome surprise. Cons - staff leaves around 7 daily so if you need anything or have issues it has to wait until morning. There is zero security and the locks on the doors are minimal at best, but thank god the island seems extremely safe.
• Hector (6/5): - Was ok, but probably wouldn’t stay here again. Room are dark no windows. Limited hot water & toilet didn’t work. Had to add water in the tank for it to flush. No beach towels. Only really good thing was the coffee shop next door.

• Brad (10/5): Perfect stay to be in the middle of it all. - The Esduma Bohonito is a great spot to stay in Holbox. We had the room facing the street, #208, which I highly recommend. It has a private balcony with table and chairs. I am not sure if all the rooms have windows or balconies. The staff was super helpful and were also able to have someone come to our room to provide a COVID test before our return. The room was comfortable with A/C and a nice bathroom. The WiFi isn't great but that goes for most of the island.

• Rafael (2/5): Won’t return - First off they didn’t have the room I reserved online and paid for.. went from a king suite to a double bed standard.. room stunk of humidity, A/C did not work, Tv had no channels or wifi capability to connect to Netflix, wifi did not work, staff tried charging me double for the same room I paid for online for half the price.. the rainfall showed bursted and I couldn’t take a shower at all.
• Sakari (6/5): - Location is good both downtown and beach are very close (as everything in Holbox) - just a couple of blocks walking distance. Hotel is very basic and stripped down. Bathroom amenities are terrible (take your own) and the Wifi did not work at all during my stay.
