Guest Reviews
- Kerem (10/5): -
- Faustyna (10/5): Wspaniały personel i super miejsce ! 🤩 - Bardzo miły personel i właściciel. Pyszne śniadania, wspaniała okolica - klimatyczna salka do jogi i super basen!
- Laura (10/5): I had a peaceful and restful stay and the staff were brilliant . The food was amazing - Calm and peaceful . Amazing food and staff Nothing
- Damon (10/5): Good value for money, a bit of a luxury feeling - Clean and comfortable, nice surroundings. Nice to have a coffee with the view over rice fields. Nice building A bit hidden, and a bit far from city centre.
- Sharlaine (6/5): Ok for a base. - The resort was clean.
The staff were incredibly sweet, kind & always helpful.
Our massages were fantastic.
There's an amazing restaurant at the end of the driveway with a fabulous bakery & coffee for breakfast & fine dining for dinner - most enjoyable. It's getting very tired & old.
The pool was small, narrow & shallow at one end.
There's not much space to sit & enjoy a drink outside your room between ground floor rooms & the pool.
The pool chairs in the pool sunk below water level so you got a wet bottom.
We moved to the stand alone villa's which were nice but the power kept going out in the night leaving us with no air conditioning. The path to the villa's was treacherous in the rain - definitely do not recommend older travellers stay here.

- Erdenetsogt (5/5): Be prepared to sleep with Geckos - Compared to the places around Ubud, good value for the price and great view. Geckos are literally everywhere, at least six seven🤷♀️. I understand that it’s in a forest, and it’s expected to have some. But that many is simply outrageous.
- Oana (10/5): Amazing experience - The Wadari Retreat Villa Ubud is nothing short of magical. From the moment you arrive, you’re wrapped in a sense of calm that feels uniquely Balinese—peaceful, lush, and deeply restorative. Nestled among rice fields and tropical greenery, the villa offers the perfect balance of seclusion and luxury.
The villas themselves are stunning: beautifully designed, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully curated with natural materials that blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. Waking up to the sounds of nature and the soft morning light filtering through the trees felt like a dream. The private pool is an absolute highlight—serene, refreshing, and perfect for unwinding at any time of day.
What truly sets Wadari Retreat apart, though, is the exceptional service. The staff are incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, always going above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and cared for. Every detail is handled with grace, from delicious breakfasts to helpful recommendations and seamless arrangements.
Wadari Retreat Villa Ubud isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience you carry with you long after you leave. I cannot recommend it highly enough and would return in a heartbeat. -

- Terese (10/5): Smukt hotel. - Venligt personale og smuk udsigt. Måske ikke det mest børnevenlige sted. Poolen bliver aldrig varm af solen. Køleskab på værelset larmede.
- Terese (10/5): -
- Vassi (9/5): Great staff and quite location - Location and great staff Not much vegetarian options
- Joseph N Harold (10/5): -
- Juliana (8/5): -
- Mia (1/5): Would not recommend - The staff were friendly and the grounds were lovely There were bed bugs in my room and I am still waiting for a refund but I am being ignored
- Aleksandra (10/5): - Everything! Plus excellent breakfast
- Katarzynana (10/5): - The staff was amazing and breakfast was always huge and delicious with many options. The room was cleaned every day. Nothing serious, just small inconveniences easy to solve.
E.g. no batteries in the TV remote controller - no problem for us, as we didn't want to watch TV. Spoiled body lotion - I used it once accidentally and it smells like expired a few years ago. No problem as I had my own. Be careful before you put it on your skin.

- Thanh (10/5): -
- Hlengiwe (10/5): -
- Carlos (7/5): - A lot of sound are coming from another rooms. Special in the middle of the night.
- Felix (9/5): -
- MADNOUNE (10/5): Amazing! Highly recommend - It is a gem ! Next to padang beach ! Staff are friendly Loved everything about it
- calia (8/5): -
- Katherine (9/5): I absultely loved this Oasis! Percet size( small resort) very clean, amazing hostipatilty, and beaut - I absultely loved this Oasis! Percet size( small resort) very clean, amazing hostipatilty, and beautuful food. I was travelling alone and felt very safe. Gorgeous pool overlooking the rice fields .
Parkplatz vorhanden.
- Jessica (8/5): Beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere - The hotel is super comfortable, with a stunning view and peaceful nature all around.
Perfect spot to relax and unwind. The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful! The internet was not reliable at least during my stay, which was not good as I had to work.
Food was okay.
- Belinda (7/5): Away from hectic central Ubud - Spacious comfortable room They were painting and the noise did disturb me but only slightly on one morning out of 5.
Also the restaurant staff needs to be a bit more aware when guests arrive. I had to get up and order both dinner and breakfast often (after I’d got myself a menu).
Super friendly low key place just needs a bit of polishing.
- Lydian (10/5): - Personeel is geweldig!
- Daniel (10/5): Buche gerne wieder - Lage war super, Personal sehr sehr nett Nichts
- Claire (8/5): - Had a great stay, friendly staff.
Ammenities a little limited as well as dining options. Overall a good option for a few days.
- lucatartari98 (9/5): -
Hoteleigene Massagen.
- Carl (7/5): Setting-amazing. Staff-amazing. Location-good. Accomodation athletics-amazing. Accomodation practicality (bamboo villas) - The setting and the scenery are stunning. It is exceptionally clean and well kept, the rooms are amazing and decorated well! The cabins are situated between a rice field and a forest/jungle. Whilst that makes them very picturesque it also means an exceptional amount of bugs and wildlife.
The bamboo villas mean this is a particular problem. None of the doors close “flush” and the bathroom has parts of the roof which are open. Meaning all wildlife can come and go as it pleases!
- David (10/5): A proper restful retreat. - Delightful in every way. Comfortable, spacious, beautiful Nothing
- NASSER (5/5): Passable Stay - cleanliness, calm breakfast needs to be improved , quality of juice too
the pressure of water in bathroom is tool low
wait many minutes to have hot water
i ordered room with 2 beds ( 2 person) , the reception gives me only one queen bed there said all rooms are reserved
1.8% extra fees for using credit card bank the reception said
the toilet was stinky
far from ubud down town
- William (8/5): -
- Mikayla (7/5): -
- david (8/5): -
- Hany (9/5): - Very relaxing vibes, quiet place, friendly staff, nice food, easy to access from Grab service. I should ask for house keeper to come and change bed sheets, towels, refill tea and sugar every day 🤔. Not like 4 started hotel to be done automatically on daily basis.
- Michael Mole (9/5): -
- BILLAL (10/5): -
- Agnes (10/5): - Amazing hotel, the view from the tree house is to die for. The service was amazing and you feel very welcome coming here. The hotel room is so cozy and beautiful and the massage is amazing.
Loved everything with this place.
- Gleb (9/5): -
- Moetu (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay in the lily room. All amenities provided were great and the place was clean and comfortable. The view was great too! The location was also good, and they offered a free shuttle service to Ubud center twice a day. It was close to a few playground which was great for the kids. They also provided us with a baby service so that we could have a night off for an extra fee. The kids had a great time. The bathroom was a bit smelly but overall it was fine.
- Kholod (6/5): -
- Sarah DH (9/5): -
- Manuel (7/5): - The room is surrounded by a beautiful rice field, and the room is spacious. The water pressure is not consistency and we suggest having a small bill change in case you need it.
- Gupta (10/5): We enjoyed our stay. Great food - It was comfortable. Spa was great. Not centrally located
- Claudia Ledesma (9/5): - It was a lovely stay! People so kind and smiling!! Recomended 100%!!

- Ali (8/5): -
- Erika (10/5): - Such an amazing expérience in this bambou villa! The team is perfect, massage was really nice, cooking very good. Special thanks to Aditya for taking care of us during excursion day and helping us with transports difficulties, we did really appreciate.
We recommand Wadari retreat ! As breakfast is cooked on demand, it may take some time to anticipate before excursion.
- Cobus Van Zyl (7/5): -
- Mohamad (4/5): -
- Nicole (10/5): Great stay. The staff were lovely and it had a nice vibe - Great location, just outside the hecticness of Ubud, but close enough to town so you don’t feel too remote.
- Anna (8/5): Top tijd en super vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel - Personeel en kamer Zwembad
- Nicole (10/5): Stunning - The room was amazing, the food was great and the service was fantastic Nothing
- Vera (6/5): -
Kmr aldrig mer boka via booking.
- Magenta (9/5): Cute Accommodation Away from the Chaos - Beautiful spa service and quiet location NA

- laura (10/5): Amazing space, beautiful hotel, will return - Amazing energy. Dita really emulates such love and care to all of the guests as she welcomes you in, provides such an excellent service through your stay, and sees you out. The massages are amazing, the Pool is a gorgeous area, the deluxe rooms were beautiful. Exactly what we needed. Perfect to have such ease of transport arranged via the hotel. Slightly more varied food for dinner menus including some more vegetable based options and some more Indonesian /.Balinese dishes.
- Elizabeth (10/5): We stayed here for 3 days, utilized the pool and even the spa which was a great massage for a great price. - The property was hidden away and around so many other food places and near a great coffee shop
- assad (10/5): Amazing always loving staying in Wadari - Best resort best view best service
3rd time and never let me down

- Edna Mylene (10/5): I need more stars coz 10 is not enough - Every single thing. My husband and I are avid travellers and this by far is the best in terms of service. Wayan, the driver in particular, was polite, careful at driving and knowledgeable with the must see places; he made this trip unforgetable. The restaurant staff made the best food especially nasi goreng. The masseusse was gifted. And the reception was helpful.
The room was complete with hot shower, toiletries, bidet, kettle, tv, wifi, aircon and a spectacular view; the wifi was fast, I had no problems doing my online work.
To everybody looking for an Ubud retreat, this is the one for you. None
- Jessica (9/5): Just grateful for the good things about this hotel. - I absolutely loved the staff. I cut my hand on a glass that broke, and Dita was so attentive and put me at ease. I also liked that my room had high ceilings, and a kitchen to cook a few meals for the days I wanted to stay in. The view of the sunsets from my balcony were just amazing. I had a great dinner one night in the restaurant. Very good food and a great cocktail with great service. I liked that there was a coffee place nearby (Rusters) that also had a good restaurant with live entertainment on certain nights. The ac working really good. The black out curtains helped with sleeping in. I could walk to two nearby markets market as well. Even though it could take anywhere from 20-40 minutes to get into the center of Ubud, I feel like the peace of the area the hotel is in made it worth it. And can’t beat the rate I got. The bed was not comfortable unfortunately, woke up sore and had to get massages to help with the discomfort. Very poor sound proofing in this hotel. You can hear everything. I could hear the guest in the room next to me talking on the phone until late at night and taking a shower, etc. When he got up so did I basically. When he opened his door or closed it sounded as if it was in my room. Just loud all around. The guests above me had kids who ran and jumped for hours on end everyday for what felt like over a week. It was awful. The hotel staff offered to move me but I didn’t like the twin room option, and the view from this room was of piled up, ugly rubble/trash and an unkept field. The landscaping was nice around one area of the property but a quarter way threw it’s like they gave up, as the majority of the property overlook a sad, wanna-be rice paddy field that is completely overgrown. This hotel could be such a shining star landscape wise. Wish the owner would show it some love. Lastly, the pool has almost zero sun exposure due to the rooms above covering it. So if you’re wanting to languish in the sun poolside this is not that hotel.
