Guest Reviews
- Guest (5/5): Vasat - Temizlik kötü idi. Resepsiyondaki hanımefendiler çok yardımsever olmalarına rağmen aynısını beyefendi için söyleyemeyeceğim. Saat 16:00’da check in olmaz. En geç saat 14:00’te olması gerekir. Check outtada hiç kolaylık tanımadılar.
- Maram (1/5): -
- Konstantinos (1/5): Bad - Comfortable appartment At arrival they asked me to submit 300 pounds as deposit otherwise they would refuse me to check in, even if I had prepaid the full cost of my stay.
Room had no heating. No heating at all.
- ABDULLAH (10/5): جميله جدا - موقع مميز مبلغ التامين لم يرجع لي الئ الان مايقارب 300 باوند
- John (8/5): Only downside was apartment was 4 floors up with no lift. -

- Cetin (9/5): -
- BaharanZ (8/5): - The apartment they gave us was on the 5th floor with no elevator. We had four suitcases, but the staff at the Commodore Hotel helped us a lot. The building was recently renovated, but the AC didn’t work and it was too hot to sleep. So we moved to the basement unit. It was cool and clean. The beds and mattresses were comfortable. There were a few small issues with the TV and toaster, but the hotel staff were really helpful. 5th floor apartment AC didn't work , No elevator !
- Haider (10/5): -
- Maria (9/5): Perfect location for cityvisit with child! - Quiet, clean, spacious, good location! Some details could be fixed, new lamps f e.
- Ali (5/5): Passable - The apartment needs maintenance painting bathroom fixing need improvement

- Charanraj (8/5): Very good -
- Aliyu (4/5): Disappointing -
- Megan (6/5): Pleasant - Location was great, apartment was spacious for the two of us. Staff were helpful for the most part. Washing machine/dryer didn’t work, there was no hot water the first two days (although when we alerted them, it was promptly fixed), TV would not connect to the internet. The bathrooms smelled bad, had to have the doors shut the whole time so the rest of the apartment didn’t smell. There were no “house instructions” for things like the thermostat, washing machine, etc either which would have been helpful.
- Steven (10/5): SF aus - The staff carried our heavy suitcases up 5 stories!
Very comfortable and spacious with a full kitchen
- kieron (6/5): - Great location for a hotel. Easy access to Hyde Park, Museums, central London train stations.

- Helen (7/5): Not a great start but overall nice location - The location was great. We were given a message saying that our taxi fair to location was no charge however when we rang reception to find out how to proceed with taxi and if we needed a code of some sort, the receptionist hung up on us twice! Not happy now need to seek a refund and seems impossible to navigate.
- Mohammad (6/5): Nice stay could be better - The location That there wasn't an elevator, and the cleanliness of the apartment overall
- Nivedita (7/5): Good - Location was really good. Near the tube and bus stops. No Elevator
- Duaij_na (5/5): Passable -
- Aljaze (1/5): Bad -
- Sandrine (8/5): Lovely stay - Large room Stairs
- Michael (8/5): Great location, nice place, but beware of the deposit scenario as it causes a great deal of stress - Nice decor and location No upfront notice of a 300£ security deposit as it was a guest we had booked to stay and they didn’t have the funds on their card. So was quite a deal of stress and upset at check in. NOTICE SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN, same as last apartment booking .
- Geneva (8/5): - Great location, close to many eating options and close to transit/underground. This is a basement suite with ample space for the five of us. Would stay here again.
- Robinson (8/5): Great - Price and location were good. The apartment was roomy, and comfortable. We particularly wanted to avoid stairs and were offered a ground floor apartment. Bathroom extra fan was a switch above the bathroom door, which I could reach but my wife [5'2"] would need a chair to reach the light switch.
Bed was comfortable but lumpy, it might be near the end of if user life.
Kitchen knives were dull, they could just cut a grapefruit into slices.
- Rauf (6/5): Pleasant -
- Manal (3/5): I would NEVER for sure going back again ❌ - just the location the apartment was on the basement.
so dirty, bad smell, old furniture, all of sudden the lamb in the bathroom was leaking water it threatened the safety of my family.. I looked for manager couldn’t find one at 7 pm! all what the staff did is wiping the water with towel!
- Bello (10/5): It’s lovely - Nice location Cleaning service
- Mohd (9/5): Superb -
- Gurpreet (7/5): Great location but the stay was average. We have tried to list few points which may help for future travellers. - Location and acessability. No lift, carrying big bags for international travellers all the way upto 4th floor without any help is extremly difficult. Cleaniless was not really upto the mark, rugs sofas cushions were all stinking. No proper glasses to drink water. No coffee mugs. We both had to share one mug and drink water in wine glasses.
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Friendliness Hotel of staff.
Location in London. Amount of stairs to climb to Apartment
- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant -
- Linda (9/5): Staff are excellent. - Location was perfect for transport around London. The name of the property, is actually Commodore Hotel not Lancaster Gate. This caused confusion for our Taxi.
- Ismail (1/5): Bad - Its been a month now still waiting for the deposit payment
- Dazhi (1/5): Not recommended at all. - Location is only reason to choose this property No lift and this key information not mentioned at all. If know this in advance I won’t book.
Old building. Floor uneven, ceiling leaking.
Fridge door can’t close freezer part, ice blocked all drawers.
TV screen broken and staff don’t know about it.
Not clean bugs bite my son I have to buy insects spray myself.
- Nasser (1/5): Bad -
- Jad (8/5): Very good -
- Alan (9/5): Superb -
- Mostafa (4/5): If you want to sleep well don't go to this hotel ❌ - location they allow parties, and I couldn't sleeptill 4:00 AM because of the very loud music in the next floor!!
- Akinsete (9/5): Superb -
- Ahmad (9/5): Superb - Well arranged apartment. I like the living room No lift? They need to arrange for lift
- Malcolm (9/5): Totally recommend - Superb location .. quiet but close to everything and beautiful Hyde park .. apartment a little tired but huge .. great big tvs .. great big table and comfy couches .. plenty of washing powder and toiletries all supplied .. great showers .. good bed .. very helpful staff .. will definitely return
- Samantha (7/5): Good -
- Ahmad (9/5): Fell like Home - The apartment us very nice with big living room with one master bedroom . Two TV No lift but I understand all old building in London they don’t have.
once cleaning every week , you could make it twice a week
- Hasan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Zhu-hong (9/5): pleasant - location to the tram is 8min walking no
- Debra (7/5): With a few updates this apartment would be fabulous. - The apartment was spacious, light and comfortable with 2 bathrooms and in a great location for access to shops, pubs, parks and train stations. With easy walking access to the city of London and sight seeing options. Minimal kitchen utensils to prepare meals or cleaning utensils e.g broom to tidy for a 7 night stay no cleaning service provided. Two long flights of stairs to manage with luggage that was not mentioned when booking the apartment.
The bed was only a 7/10. Oven, dishwasher & washer/dryer all needed a clean?
- Samdani (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ariel (8/5): Very good - Breakfast - not applicabcable
Location - very good If we were allocated an appartment at a lower floor
- Sumaya (1/5): Bad - nothing room facilities and services
- Paroline (8/5): Quiet, convenient and relaxing. - Location was perfect.
, Next to park and a short walk to Paddington. Lots of room in apartment. Staff were great. Although we loved the two bathrooms, the showers tended to spray into room. Noticed that the bathroom door was disintegrating due to water impact. Stains on couch and stovetop a bit scratched. But overall, enjoyed our stay greatly over a cheaper hotel room.
- Mariana (1/5): worst experience of my life - That upon me puting a complain on Booking.com they called me and moved me from the smelling damaged property to a tiny cleaner hotel room. for the record I had to move my self all the bags 200 meters and 1 floor by stairs without any help and 2 kids. kitchen with a dead animal smell coming from the oven.
bathrooms with leaks and permanent wet floors
dirty
rugs disgustingly derty
bathroom leak end up in the bedroom with wet carpet
broken furniture
pictures trick you
AFTER MOVING TO THE TINY HOTEL ROOMS, THEY LOOK GOOD, RECENTLY RENOVATED. CARPET STILL DISGUSTING. DONT BRING BIG BAGS TO THIS HOTEL.
- Ashish (1/5): Bad - There was water leakage and carpet was soaking wet. They didn’t fix it even during the full week of stay
- Claire (7/5): Good - The location to 2 tube stations and Hyde Park wad great. Separate bathrooms for 2 guests was a great bonus. The main bedroom was always cold and had a draught.
- Camilla (4/5): Disappointing - The position and the view wasn’t clean and there was nothing to keep the house clean. had to buy everything
- Athina (6/5): Pleasant - Location and size of the apartment it wasn’t clean and the check in process wasn’t smooth. Also the showers had only an oveehead shower.
- K (5/5): Passable - space and deco lack of sufficient beddings
- Siti (9/5): Superb -
- Marek (9/5): Superb - I was positively surprised. Large and spacious. High ceiling and very bright.
Unfortunately, for the first few days there was an unpleasant smell from the drain pipes of the showers. This is probably because some people don't know the difference between a shower and a toilet.
Private and quiet, two smart tv’s and quiet good WiFi
Staff very helpful and polite! :)
The stairs can be a problem on the first and last day, but everyone knows what they are renting.
from previous experience it is recommendable :)
- Darzzz (3/5): Terrible Experience - Location
Some staff We have 2 very young kids (1 of them a toddler) We booked the appartement and were told that it was on the 5th floor without an elevator a day before arrival only! We got there and tried to go up with the luggage and strollers and kids but it was impossible. These are not regular stairs! Each flood is equivalent to maybe 2.5 floors in the U.S (this is an old English building). We stopped on the 3rd flood and went back to the lobby as the 4th and 5th floor stairs were dangerous to go up or down. After deliberations with the receptionist, she managed to find 2 rooms on the hotel next door (same management) for the night, rooms not connected! My husband and I slept in separate bedroom as our kids are two little to leave in a room alone. Next day were given a family suite, bed was extremely uncomfortable, room wasn't so clean, we weren't even given complementary breakfast after everything we went through, no chairs in the room!, barely any space to put things and prepare a formula for Mt baby.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (1/5): LET THE BUYER BEWARE! MOST TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER ... - Close to Kensington Gardens. Building per se could be nice if properly maintained. Our stay at Lancaster Gate/ Bayswater was ruined because our living conditions were a health hazard, smelly, noisy, as well as cramped. There was a truly mind-boggling accumulation of frustrations that made our experience hell.
The apartment is in a basement of an 19th century building, with one window opposite a power generator/pump.
Our greatest problem was an extremely foul-smelling soggy spot on the carpet of one meter width in one of the bedrooms that one had to walk through to get to the shower. We were worried that a dangerous chemical substance was involved and sleeping without the window open was impossible because breathing was difficult.
Both showers were cold/tepid, there was mold all over the place, regular noise disturbances from whirring and clicking engines or pipes, a flickering light, and the heating was temporarily shut off. The showers were fixed on our last day, so we could enjoy one hot shower in over a week. The windows and the external areas were extremely filthy.
Unbelievably, one of the "bedrooms for two" was only 4 square meters in size and the bed could only be accessed from one side. The half opened door would bang on the bed, and the room had no window one could open, so one had to sleep without closing the bedroom door to get sufficient oxygen. There wasn't space for a chair or anything else.
Selling us the basement apartment came uncomfortably close to fraud in three respects: (1) selling a four square meter room as "bedroom for two", (2) using pictures of a much better apt. online, and (3) the sale was made under false pretenses, as we were reassured we'd receive the fifth floor apartment as an explicit condition of our booking. We were then informed of the switch right before we arrived.
- Samir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandrine (9/5): 3 night stay - location and how much room it had N/A I wish I’d booked longer
- Samir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Huda (10/5): nice apartment, beautiful clean, - location, stuff is helping us , nothing
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Asleena (3/5): Poor -
- Stefan (2/5): The apartments are terrible and the hotel is ok but not well maintained - Very friendly staff & they relocated me into the hotel after the massive disappointing experience of the apartment The apartment was beyond tired in many aspects. A broken & disjointed cupboard, stains on the carpet floor in the bedroom and the living room, holes in the wall, shower with disgusting mold and no pressure, ... the list goes on and on.
After I relocated into the hotel for two nights in a row in we had a extremely loud noise coming from the radiators which woke the entire hotel. Staff was overwhelmed but tried their best. The maintenance of the hotel is poor.
- Judith (5/5): Great for the location and space but I would go in there with my own cleaning kit! Oh, and be prepared to move together - The ground floor one bedroom apartment we had was super spacious with very high ceilings. The apartment was very run down. Water leakage marks on the ceiling, missing light fixtures, badly patched up wooden floors. The kitchen was filthy with cracked cooker tops, wobbly pans and leftover cups and mismatched glassware (only 1 water glass). The bathroom was tiny and very dirty.
- Arina (6/5): Pleasant - property is good
located cleaning was so poor, all was dirty upon the arrival
also no coffee machine neither coffee press. kitchen towel would be much appreciated as well
- Lukić (7/5): Good - Location is perfect.
Near Hyde and Regent Park, very peacufull to sleep. Stores, pubs, bus station and tube all in walking distance.
Apartment is very spacious and has 2 toilets and 1 large room. Very comfortable looking at available options in London. I highly recommend it. Apartment is good looking overall but once you use it a bit you can see that it has lot of damages and need a renovation very soon. Overall was somewhat clean but not as it suppose to be.
- Mohammed (9/5): Superb - receptionists were very cooperative,
location is excellent There is elevator in the building which is too hard especially for older peopl
They provide us with only one key
- Hasan (8/5): we have very hard time to inter or exit the commendation and booking.com there cheated us they did not clearly mentioned - location clean
- David (8/5): Great location. Challenging stairs. - Spacious and well outfitted. No dryer to go with the washer. NEEDS an ELEVATOR! Up 5 flights was a bit much!
- RYAN (2/5): - Not quite as advertised. Unbearable smell in the master suite and hallway. Kitchen cooking utensils should be replaced. Not a single drinking glass available. Cracked floor tiles in the hallway and in dining area. We stayed in the basement unit, other units might be better maintained. Do check before accepting the unit.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was noisy
- Amanda (8/5): Great place but needs a renovation - Great location and could be a fabulous apartment but it needs renovating. Furniture is new and comfortable but the paint is peeling off the windows and door handles are just hanging on. If you can look past this it is a great place to stay
